There was no Transaction ID given. All that was given was the unique registration number which also got e-mailed after i made payment. I did get alerts in the Credit Card as transaction but it is labelled "Federation of Indian" which i am not sure on how it would be taken as proof.

At any rate all i can do at this stage is to carry the Credit Card which was used to make the Transaction and drive down to Bangalore. Did anyone else get any Transaction ID ?

If possible, please do update tomorrow evening on the actual process followed and how difficult/easy it was to get the Tickets from the On-Line printout. Thanks.
My personal experince : i make the purchase online, took the printout of email which has Unique Registration ID, went to axis bank branch(one among the list given in website).Show them the printout and they give me the entry ticket.

Loooong queues and clueless folk manning the Axis bank counters is the norm. You got lucky. Koramangala and MG Road branches are a disaster.

Is barak 8 to the left? it looks like derby with booster.

Actually i go it from kormangla branch only, :) and yes i thought i am lucky because queue was not that long but yes lot of management issues and paper work and whole process is snail-pace.

This "apsara" is one of the SAAB's Calendar girl. At the 2011 Aero India, SAAB had organized a competition (25K prize), for selecting 6 males and 6 females for their 2012 SAAB India Calendar (I know this because i was closely associated with them and my 'to be' better half was one the selected models.

Folks.. I made a grave mistake of booking Aero India tickets On line (for me and SHQ). I did take print outs of the e-mails and the web site page which confirms the payment (and displays the Transaction ID). Now the big question:-
1. Can I popup at the venue with these print outs and valid ID proofs?
2. Or should I take these print outs to Axis Bank folks and get a ticket from them. This means taking a half day off from work :(.

To the Bhai-log who will attend AI 2013, may I submit a wishlist of questions, which I would much appreciate if you can glean some information about:

Rustom

1) Will Rustom-2 use Wankel engine or imported one?
2) Is Rustom-1 a TD or will it be inducted?

Missiles/Munitions

1) When will Sudarshan be inducted?
2) What's this new 50 Km glide bomb thingy?
3) When will CLGM be inducted & is there a Heli-launched version planned
4) What's A6's throw-weight & is it really going to be 15-20 Tonnes heavier than A5?
5) Will Nirbhay have satellite based remote control, since it has a loitering capability?

Rudra

1) When is Helina's induction to Rudra? What is its A2G missile in the meanwhile?

Artillery

1) Some clarity on how many "homegrown" guns are being trialled now?
2) What's the scoop on Pinaka-2 - any tech advances? Is a Pinaka-3 in the making?
3) Why the silence on Prahaar?

Radar/Sonar/Seekers

1) What's the status of Rajendra WLR - has it been induced in numbers?
2) Any news on extending range of IIR seeker for Nag beyond 2 Km
3) News about MMW seeker for Helina?
4) What's the status of Akashdeep (DRDO's Aerostat)
5) LCA MK-2's AESA status?

Actually, I saw that and was wondering too. It looks like a refined Mk1. But will Astra Mk1 ever get inducted, now that we have Mk2 is trials already with have its weight and same capabilities? If not, then why waste effort on it?

Guys at the show, please post pix of the info boards from the desi vendors - both pvt and public sector. These are key to our collective knowledge upgrade.

Also, try to find out the following:

How many Mig KUB (trainers) in the 2nd batch of 29 a/c for the Navy?

Status of Kamov 28 mid life upgrade - Selex Seaspray radar model XXXX? , ATOS mission system and what else is to be fitted? When will work commence, where (Russia?) and when are first a/c to be delivered?

Same for Seaking Mk42B upgrade. Did Elbit get the contract?

UAV plans for all services?

Is the Navy interested in Hermes 900 and Heron TP?

Whats up with Naval LCa project? The Naval LCa has had only 4 flts. Does this mean the focus is on Mk 2?

HAL has 8 + 35 orders for Do 228. Who are they for? IN, IAF, Ind CG, export?

Whats in the Jaguar Darin III upgrade? And when will it complete?

Is Saras dead?

Any info sheets on AMCA

Same for new UAV designs

What are weapons and EO / HMS on Rudra and LCH? Is the EO pod and HMS from Elbit and Rafael ?

What Army Avn sqn will get the 2 Rudra's on the 8th of Feb?

Thanks in advance

why exactly does HAL want to spend time/money/people on HTT-40 when close to 100 Pilatus trainers are on order and the easy path is buy more if it becomes needed later. this is the cheapest a/c in the IAF stable and not perceived as a very strategic item in terms of tech also.

instead why dont they pull up socks and explore dumping the AL55 and instead work with larzac or RR if the Al55 is a failure?
whatever else is lagging in test pgm is probably gated on the engine being fully certified for the regime of the IJT.

People going to AI-13 today, please find out if the Tejas Mk2 is indeed getting a fuselage plug of 1m length or not..earlier reports indicated it was 0.5m then some reports said it was actually 1m..please at least confirm this if there are no info boards or brochures on that..if true that there is nothing on the Mk2, then I'm terribly terribly disappointed with ADA..:(

Read in paper this morning about expected arrival of Russian Knights to Yelehanka today. Hoping for a performance from them tomorrow and hence postponed my visit day to Fri Feb 8 :)

I will try to get info on LCA Mk.2, if its available and does not come out today from folks who are visiting.

For all Rakshaks planning a trip to the airshow on saturday 9 feb 13.

I did my first solo flight on a Tigermoth on 09 Feb 1952. Now, 61 years later, on 09 Feb 2013, I shall once again be near a yellow Tigermoth in Air Force Colours. May I have the pleasure of a group photo in front of this aircraft with as many Rakshaks as possible?
