Aero India 2013 will mark, for me personally, 20 years of attending Aero India and 50 years of passion for military aviation.

I attended Avia India 1993 - the first show and all shows after that.

Since that time I have seen the following products that I have been told will come into service or that we will soon see.
1. MiG 21-93 (MiG upg)
2. LCA (mock up onlee in 93)
3. ALH
4. Akash
5. Astra
6. Hypersonic re useable air breathing rocket
7. Nag
8. IJT Sitara
9. Combat Advanced Trainer (HAL designed)
10. Saras
11. Light Utility Helicopter
12. Medium Helicopter
13. Medium Transport Aircraft (MTA)
14. Kaveri engine
15. Brahmos
17. AMCA
18. MRCA
19. Various avatars of ugly and non ugly Rustam UAVs

In 20 years I have only seen ALH, MiG Upg, Akash and Brahmos appear and be accepted. Two have Russian inputs. LCA is likely to get there. Astra and Nag are being tested at least. IJT Sitara and Saras are limping to paralysed. MTA and Hypersonic vehicle are simply displayed every time. Nothing moves. The Advanced Trainer is dead - we have bought Hawk since then. LUH will be imported, MRCA will be imported. Kaveri is limping - what do they propose to do with it? Are they fooling us? It has flown 50 hours so what is the plan?

Ask hard questions.

Ask hard question on Kaveri++ plans. It is vital for our mil/civil aviation.
