Few days back Dr Harshawardhan is the Rapist. Now Modi is womeniser. The question is is the alleged lady has any objection??? If not then what is the legal issue even if all this rubbish is true??? Supreme Court case??? For what crime? just like fixing Shankaracharya of Kanchi and others. Vedio proof? Audio proof??? who will take vedio etc of such things even if they happen?

Never attack our mafia family, we will attack back with all the kinds of things. Kapil Sibbal asking BJP to change their candidate now makes sense. They will manifacture things on NM now. All mafia front people on full time job.

In the meanwhile on economy and elections. See the CPI index data. NM should use this.

It gives me a good laugh thinking how hard they would have to try to find even a tiniest spot in his whole life to use it to make mountain out of it. Congis must have created a dedicated cell to find out anything of that sort since his birth. It is really amazing they couldn't find anything substential as of now. Everyone has something to hide, including moi  .

On the other hand, think of how making BJP look ridiculous is one thing, but making next government look, in a derogatory way, heathen and pagan can do for con race and chamchas and Aryan horse etc theory mongers etc. Ie making NDA government ridiculous legally to halt international diplomacy exclusive domain of con race or aryan horse chamchas and vice versa also I.e. normal diplomatic relations appearing optional for India in "international" fora. All this is avoidable but for mafiaso dragging everyone with them lol.

Karnataka needed to be rescued in 2014. State is already going to dogs under Siddaramayya and serious efforts needed to come back into power in 4 years. Mafia and BJP got almost same votes even when BJP formed governament there. So mafia has a solid vote base. JD S is another joker in the pack only interested in power. Yaddi is also getting aged and slowly alternative leadership needed to be developed.

S Swamy is alleging KG basin gas loss is 24 lac Cr. Why attack on Ambanis now?

In Modi, the common man sees hope

A crowd of around 15 young men glued to a plasma TV set at a well-known tea stall near the historic Khandagiri caves in eastern city of Bhubaneswar. Intuition told me it must be cricket, Sachin’s last test match at Mumbai triggering frequent cheers. But no! On reaching the stall I found that the loud cheers and applause were for Narendra Modi’s live speech from Raigarh, in neighbouring Chhattisgarh.

It was indeed surprising to see Modi replacing cricket in the Odisha capital. A State, insist psephologists, as being least affected by the Modi wave. Really?

As the broadcast opted for a break, I prodded the gathering to enlighten me about their take on Narendra Modi, and what they liked most about him.

“I like his simplicity, he speaks from the heart. It seems as if no one understands our plight better than he does,” carpenter Ravi Moharana (26) says.

“I think this man has the conviction to fight and wipe out terror. Be it jihadis or Maoists. And unlike the Congress-led UPA which refuses to initiate strong action against them, Modi will stamp out Red terror and talk tough with Pakistan”, 23-year-old Subrat Das, a civil engineering student from a nearby college said, “I have never been a supporter of the BJP. But I’m impressed with Modi. I would like him as our next leader.”

Don’t you like cricket and Sachin? I ask a young man standing next to me. “I do, but I find Modi’s humour-laced sarcasm much more interesting for a change. Besides, I think he is the only leader today who is against the politics of vote-bank.

That’s why I detest any sort of religion-based appeasement”, said Ragunath Pradhan in his early twenties.

For the first time I realised that the young in India are not as narcissistic as they are being projected by the media and the movies.

The interesting part is despite all the acrimonious campaign mounted by the Congress and other political rivals against Modi, opinions in ground-zero strongly support the BJP leader. And more importantly, people know why they are supporting him.

A tea stall and three youths might not reflect the political mood of a State, but certainly it does tell the story of Modi’s increasing popularity, possibly linked to public faith in his ability to change the face of India. There is enthusiasm in the air. Discussions on politics and what’s good for the country is no more the exclusive domains of the armchair analysts or the English-savvy elites. Modi has made the common man demand his share of political slice. And they are doing it with a vengeance. No wonder, “Modi” is the buzzword in most debates, be it at the local tea/snack joint or local gatherings. Political discourse indeed has reached the right level.

Sharma Brothers vs Narendra Modi – Victimization saga continues
by SayemaSahar, twocircles.net

“Narendra Modi is the worst form of human material walking on this planet earth,” says a senior IPS Officer of Gujarat cadre, at present on deputation in New Delhi. Indeed a very strong statement for the poster boy of BJP by an aware, responsible and extremely efficient police officer of India!

The Gujarat genocide, planned and executed by Modi, brought a scale of atrocity which was never previously known. The statistics of Gujarat carnage, by far, is the most heinous atrocity in all recorded history of independent India.

Pradeep Sharma and Kuldeep Sharma [Photo Courtesy: Indian Express]

Modi’s conduct, during and after the riots, was partisan, communal and influenced by political and communal agenda. All of us here, on the threshold of the 10th anniversary of 2002 carnage, are waiting to see Modi’s acts of omission and commission getting nailed in a court of law.

This blatant arrogant use of power to thwart truth and democracy must stop.

Mr. Modi, you owe an explanation to me, to my readers and to all those who love their freedom and their country and more than us, to the ghosts of 2002 carnage; the frail ghosts, the pregnant ghosts, the faceless ghosts of the bodies charred beyond recognition.

Mr. Modi, you owe an explanation to all the nameless ghosts who wander through the land of Gandhi awaiting justice. Do you ever get to hear the curse and bellows of the unborn babies who were killed in the womb of their mothers? How do you sleep in peace is what I wonder.

And yet Modi boasts of praises, accolades and appreciation galore! All minds must be blurred and darkened to be praising such a ruthless, arrogant and selfish man.

What is being overlooked is the fact that Gujarat has always been a progressive and prosperous state, with a generally peaceful law and order situation with high levels of public safety for many decades before Modi's time. Actually, both Modi and the BJP are (mis)using Gujarat's tradition of relative peace and prosperity as Modi's poster child for political capital.

Modi has very immaculately ensured the suspension of human rights through anti-minority pogroms and then demonized the social activists whoever tried to speak about his misdeeds. His policy has been very simple: crush the identity of minorities beyond recognition, so that they can never dare to speak against him or his atrocities and persecute any and every officer working under the constitutional framework, and refused to be party to the planners and perpetrators of violence during the riots.

This is exactly what he did when he orchestrated the 2002 carnage of Gujarat, where he completely silenced the minority by his terror keeping alive his parallel strategy of putting all officers of state in place by persecuting them in false concocted charges. Modi could not stand any officer who was upright, and who did not collaborate in anti minority action. Fortunately for Gujarat, and for India but unfortunately for Modi the number of such officers is really significant in Modi’s land.

Modi’s script of victimizing such officers, is so overused that it gets easy to predict his line of action when he picks on any officer. First, harassment and threats followed by cases and charge sheet and finally the arrest. Modi has followed this script on many officers in Gujarat. Pradeep Sharma an IAS officer of Gujarat cadre, is one such officer. Pradeep Sharma also happens to be the younger brother of an equally dynamic and popular IPS officer Mr. Kuldip Sharma, again from Gujarat cadre.

Mr. Kuldip Sharma was targeted by Modi’s government as he did not abide by the illegal instructions of him and the then Minister of State (Home), Amit Shah. The Chief Minister downgraded the ACRs of Mr. Kuldip Sharma with the mala fide intention of denying him promotion.

Mr. Kuldip Sharma was privy to the involvement of one of Modi’s ministers in a criminal conspiracy. In fact during the carnage of 2002 Pradeep Sharma got a call from Modi to ask his brother Mr. Kuldip Sharma to go slow on rioters. Kuldip Sharma had also alleged that Modi and former Home Minister Amit Shah put pressure on him to arrest danseuse Mallika Sarabhai in an alleged human trafficking case.

Mr. Pradeep Sharma’s case is a sad tale of the obscenely rampant subversion of the rule of law and a person's democratic rights by the Modi government for petty personal politics with the Sharma brothers. All the cases hence got registered against Pradeep Sharma at the behest of the Chief Minister to falsely implicate and persecute him and to deprive him of his personal life and liberty. He is at present in jail for over 10 months apparently on a false case of land scam though the fact of the matter is that all his decisions and actions were within the state government guidelines and vetted and officially approved by the highest authorities in Gandhinagar.

Mr. Pradeep Sharma has an unblemished record of outstanding performance throughout his career. He has received numerous accolades for his work including the President’s Medal from the Republic of Poland for proactive collaboration on joint urban development projects in Jamnagar, Gujarat, between 2001 and 2003 where he served as the Municipal Commissioner.

His seminal contribution to rebuilding Bhuj city and the rest of Kutch district after the devastating 2001 earthquake in that region was applauded both nationally and internationally, by the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, and the BBC as well as the domestic media including India Today and Indian Express. His tireless efforts in rebuilding the district of Kutch in 2004 and 2005, has been really commendable.

Mr. Pradeep Sharma in his writ petition states that the persecution unleashed on him by the state chief minister, Mr. Narendra Modi is essentially due to two major reasons apart from host of other supporting factors:

Firstly, the Petitioner happens to be the younger brother of Kuldip Sharma, a highly-decorated and currently the senior-most IPS officer in the Gujarat state cadre, who has unmasked many misdeeds of Narendra Modi since the 2002 Godhra riots and also of his henchman Shri Amit Shah, the ex-Home Minister of State, Gujarat. The two siblings have very close to each other right from childhood and share very strong fraternal bonds.

Secondly and more immediately the petitioner is suspected of having stumbled upon some intimate secrets of Narendra Modi’s illicit escapades with a woman.

To be continued…

How holy is Modi? -- Gujarat cop’s affidavit in SC reveals
by Sayema Sahar, twocircles.net

Continued from my last article –Sharma Brothers vs Narendra Modi – Victimization saga continues.

Incarcerated Gujarat IAS officer Mr. Pradeep Sharma in his writ petition in the Supreme Court states that the persecution unleashed on him by the state chief minister, Mr. Narendra Modi is essentially due to two major reasons apart from host of other supporting factors:

I. The two siblings have been very close to each other right from childhood and share very strong fraternal bonds.

II. Secondly and more immediately the Petitioner is suspected of having stumbled upon some intimate secrets of Narendra Modi’s illicit escapades with a woman.

The petition of Mr. Pradeep Sharma - admitted in the highest court of the land – exposes the holiness of Narendra Modi.

Excerpts from Sharma’s affidavit

“THE CHIEF MINISTER’S ILLICIT LIASON WITH MS --name removed--:

It was in between 2003 to 2006 that the Petitioner, in the capacity of District Collector of Kutch, commissioned a series of projects toward the beautification of Bhuj city and overall development of Kutch district. A site was selected for developing a hill garden in 2005, for which ---name removed---from Bangalore was selected as the Landscape Architect. The Chief Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, visited Kutch to inaugurate the hill garden project upon its completion, and was at this time introduced to Ms. --name removed---. Thereafter, Ms. ---name removed--- communicated to the Petitioner her decision to return to Bangalore as well as shared her ongoing interaction with the Chief Minister. The fact of the intimacy between Shri Modi and Ms.---name removed--- was confirmed when the Petitioner was in close proximity of the two and overheard their conversation during one of the official functions. Subsequently, Ms. ---name removed---further revealed to the Petitioner that when she called Shri Modi in his office, he would freely interrupt scheduled meetings, walking out of his office on senior officials in order to speak to her privately.

During the second week of March 2006 at approximately 5:00 PM, Ms. ---name removed---called the Petitioner and conveyed that she had just landed in Ahmedabad city and was planning to visit Bhuj. Shortly thereafter, when the Petitioner attempted to telephone her, Ms. ---name removed---’s cell phone was switched off and remained so for the next 48 hours. Two days later at approximately 11:00 AM, Ms. ---name removed--- called the Petitioner and conveyed that she was at the residence of Shri Modi, and had spent the duration of the previous two days at his residence. Subsequently, she met the Petitioner in Bhuj and described in detail her stay with Shri Modi.

Ms. ---name removed---described that the next day being Holi, many people visited Shri Modi for the festival and played with colour. Shri Modi attended to them briefly and returned to his quarters. In the meantime, Ms. ---name removed--- had developed fever and requested a physician, but Shri Modi conveyed that calling a physician was impossible, given the peculiarity of their situation. The following morning she left for Vadodara in a car sent for by Shri Modi.

In November 2008, while the Petitioner was posted as Municipal Commissioner, Bhavnagar, Ms. ---name removed---contacted the Petitioner to inform him that Shri Modi had asked her to do a project on Alang Shipyard for which she would like to come to Bhavnagar. She came to Bhavnagar and, during that time, the Petitioner observed that she was constantly in touch with Shri Modi, who was abroad and probably in South Africa. She also conveyed to the Petitioner that Shri Modi had asked her about the Petitioner and whether the Petitioner knew about her intimate relationship with Shri Modi. In one conversation, Ms. ---name removed---showed the Petitioner a text message that the Chief Minister had sent to her from abroad. The Petitioner made a note of the cell phone number from which it had originated. The number was 9909923400.

It is submitted that the Petitioner had two cell phones at the time, with Nos. 99251 99799 and 98240 01729. On one of these, the Petitioner had saved the aforesaid number from which Ms. ---name removed--- had received personal message from Shri Modi. Once, the Petitioner accidentally dialed Shri Modi’s number, thinking that he was actually calling someone else, but the Petitioner got no reply on Shri Modi’s phone. The Petitioner realized his mistake and promptly disconnected. The Petitioner verily believes that Shri Modi must have found out the address of the holder of the SIM card from which his personal number was [accidentally] dialed, and placed it under observation either with the help of State CID (Intelligence) or illegal phone tapping methods involving the use of electronic equipment through unauthorized collaboration. Shri Modi could then have found that Ms. ---name removed--- was speaking to the Petitioner often over phone.

Around this time, the Petitioner received an anonymous letter conveying that a video of sexual activity between Ms. ---name removed--- and one person, was available on an internet website, and the letter advised the Petitioner to desist from contacting Ms. ---name removed---, as her character and actions were not befitting of her company with Gujarat State officials. The Petitioner did indeed come across such a video clipping and it now appears to the Petitioner that Shri Modi, who was monitoring the Petitioner’s cell phone calls, started believing that videos involving Ms. ---name removed--- perhaps included him i.e. Shri Modi…”

How are we supposed to react to this now, for a leader who has always presented himself to be holier than thou?

Mr. Modi tread on this path if you really want to, but tread softly for, in an age of publicity it is almost impossible to hide one’s clandestine affair from the glare of media.

Politicians in India are expected to have a brand image in public life. Any link-ups with the opposite sex are a complete no-no for any ambitious political leader in this country, where morality is a religion.

One wonders whether there is a tinge of ridiculous hypocrisy in this, however, dear friends, this is exactly the kind of hot soup our popularly elected Chief Minister has landed himself in to, if one was to believe this affidavit!!!

He should also ask why EC hasn't sent notices to those who were slack in security at public rallies. If EC can ignore security at rallies then why meddle when those responsible for security are pointed out.

You made me a Modi admirer: Nambinarayanan

Q: Does BJP have your support to rake up the ISRO case now?

A: I have no connection with any political party including the BJP. I have been for the past 15 years fighting for justice. I need compensation for my mental and physical agony as well as destruction of my career and reputation. I also will not rest until those who are responsible for all this are punished. But even after all these years, I have received precious little. Even after National Human Rights Commission granted me an interim compensation of Rs.10 lakhs a decade ago, the successive state governments led by both the Congress and the CPI(M) tried their best to deny me that. It is only recently I received this amount after a prolonged legal battle. No party has so far come to my aid or to even ask me what happened. If BJP does it now, why should I object?

Q: But the issue was raised after your meeting with Narendra Modi.

A: The BJP might have raised it after that. But have I been fighting for this since 1999?

Q: But your meeting with Modi has lent your cause a political dimension.

A: Why? I have been running around with my complaints for so long. Kerala has seen 5 chief ministers during this period. None of them thought it worthwhile even to call me and ask what was I crying for. It was in these circumstances that the chief minister of another state called me and sympathetically heard what I wanted to say. I felt so relieved and am thankful to Modi. In fact I have become his ardent admirer for having cared for an ordinary citizen like me.

Q: But wasn't Modi's objective to target his tormenter R B Sreekumar?

A: That is their lookout. Why should I bother? They have all the rights to use it politically. My only demand is to get my persecutors punished. I welcome whoever comes forward to help me in my life's present mission.

Q: But Sreekumar asked why he alone was targeted while he was only Number 2 in the IB team.

A: Who said I am targeting him only? I have filed cases against all the officers in Kerala Police and IB who harassed me. If BJP is targeting Sreekumar only, that is their business. I also have been fighting to get the Kerala Police team headed by Siby Mathew, DIG prosecuted but governments of both the Congress and CPI(M)refused to do it. Mathew misled all the chief ministers from taking any action against them. The last Left Democratic Front government made him State Information Commissioner after retirement and the present United Democratic Front government allowed him in the post. The present Oommen Chandy government has closed all files against the Kerala Police team.

Q: But Sreekumar said he never met you, let alone torture you.

A: If he never met me, how did he say that he had initiated proceedings against my corruption while he was CISF chief in ISRO? In fact the story about corruption charges is a lie. If I was corrupt and there were vigilance inquiry against me, how could I be one of the very few in ISRO to receive a record 8 promotions in 25 years ? How was I entrusted with highly sensitive and important positions ? He has not tortured me. But as the number two of the IB team, isn't he answerable to the torture, his subordinates perpetrated on me ? He also said that IB had no right to interrogate and hence never did it. Then why he admitted that he interrogated Sasikumaran and the Maldivian women?

Q: Why do you call the case was inspired by CIA?

A: There is enough evidence. Right from the beginning USA was out to thwart ISRO's attempts to get the highly sophisticated Cryogenic engine to be used for advanced GSLV satellites. First they refused to give us and then when the Soviets came forward, they thwarted it. I and Sasikumaran were directly involved in getting the stage from the USSR. It was almost when we clinched the deal with the Soviets and that too at rock bottom prices, the case broke out targeting me and Sasi. In fact the Russians had transferred instruments and equipments of cryogenic technology from Moscow to Delhi in covert Ural Airlines flights. I was in that flight. It was exactly at that time we were arrested for spying against India ! Many international journalists like Brian Harvey have investigated and wrote a book on this. The Kerala Police and IB chiefs were willing tools in CIA's hands. Don't forget that it was just after this case broke out that the then IB's Additional Director Rattan Sehgal was given compulsory retirement after he got charged with spying for USA. No doubt the CIA succeeded through this case to thwart India's indigenous development of Cryogenic engine. For even after two decades we have not been able to do this.

Q: How did your meeting with Modi happen?

A: I had only known from the media that he was coming to attend Mata Amritanandamayi's 60th birth day celebrations. But on September 26 morning I got a phone call from someone who said he was Modi's secretary. He asked me if I could meet Modi at Mascot hotel where he lived, by 9 pm. I said yes and went to the hotel at 9. After elaborate security check, I was ushered into Modi's room. He politely asked me about the ISRO case and its connections with CIA. Our meeting lasted barely 10 minutes. He did not even once ask me about Sreekumar though I hoped he would.

Be it a sports team captain or military captain, be it a regular politician or a PM, be it a class leader or school leader followers and fans like it when their leader gives it back to the opposition. Simple human psychology. Only when a leader acts indecisively , meek and very timid people feel ashamed and bad and leave the camp/cause.

A good leader makes his followers feel proud of themselves and their leader. MMS and Co. decimated the Indian pride in the last decade, from leadership perspective. It is the aam admi, sports people, scientists, soldiers, businessmen and crores of professionals, farmers, traders ityadi who kept the flag flying.

If I was a school teacher/principal I would who gives corporal punishment, then I would would make MMS run around the playground 50 times, and kneel down under the scorching Sun for 8 hours; before deciding to suspend temporarily or permanently.

HE should tell the EC that the hand represents the hand that initiated Emergency in India. That was indeed a bloody period with the suspension of human and fundamental rights. That he had to hide, even disguise himself from getting arrested..to fight for democracy and fundamental rights being reinstated. That he associated INC with that bloody period as they called him recklessly and hypocritically a Fascist/ dictator..while it was the same party that indulged in Khooni practice during the Emergency. If the present INC hear and VP apologise in public to the people of India for that period and say that they do not represent the Ideals that IG presented then, I Modi will be willing to apologize for the Khooni Punja remark..and not repeat it again. My take.

PAPPU and TERMITE QUEEN are now licking the behind of anyone who can deliver them votes! What a fall for the MAFIA!

Rahul hand seen behind Sachin's Bharat Ratna decision

The decision to award the Bharat Ratna to Sachin Tendulkar at the end of an illustrious career, having completed 200 test matches at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on Saturday, was taken at the highest political level in the Congress party, highly placed sources tell Rediff.com.

It is learnt that the decision was taken by Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi with an eye on the youth, since Tendulkar is the biggest icon of the youth in the country. It was felt that the Congress should go ahead and give the Bharat Ratna to the master blaster, considering that if they did not, other parties like the Bharatiya Janata Party -- and most particularly its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi -- would raise the demand for conferring the country’s highest civilian honour on him. Modi has already raised the demand in the past.

Sources say that the matter was discussed in the party after Rahul Gandhi pushed for it. It was also decided that that the announcement would be made immediately after Sachin’s farewell from test cricket.

On Friday, Rahul Gandhi left his hectic election campaign schedule and made it a point to be in the Mumbai stadium to cheer for Sachin.

Some old articles on Rattan Sehgal

http://www.outlookindia.com/article.aspx?202862 http://www.hindustantimes.com/News-Feed ... 18775.aspx

Rattan Sehgal

In 1996, Rattan Sehgal was a contender for the top job in the IB. Sehgal had served for some years in the ministry of external affairs and was responsible for internal security and counter-intelligence in the MEA. After reverting to the IB at the end of his MEA tenure, he became the head of its counter-intelligence division. It was alleged that without the knowledge of the Director of the IB, Sehgal maintained relationships with foreign intelligence officers, which he had built up in the MEA. The IB's counter-intelligence division reportedly found that a woman CIA officer posted in the US embassy was in contact with government servants and others on a mobile telephone, allegedly registered in the name of their boss, the suspect IB officer. They brought this to the notice of the director, IB. A joint counter-intelligence team of IB and RAW then kept him under surveillance, collected video-recordings of his clandestine meetings with the CIA officer and then confronted him with the evidence. He reportedly admitted his contacts with her. It was stated that during the investigation it was found that apart from facilitating her operational work by hiring a mobile in his name and giving it to her, he had not betrayed any sensitive secrets. He was reportedly sent on premature retirement.

Jazz, Spies And Videotape
by Rajesh Joshi, outlookindia.com
November 30th -0001

IT was a clear case of the hunter being hunted. As the chief of the crack counter-intelligence unit of the Intelligence Bureau (IB), Rattan Sehgal was well-versed in the art of keeping surveillance on suspected spies, shadowing them and recording their secret meetings on video. But not even in his worst nightmares did he imagine that after 27 years in the business of intelligence gathering, his own movements would become suspect.

On November 17, Sehgal was asked by IB Director Arun Bhagat to choose one of two options: resignation or arrest under NSA.

And that one day the IB chief would confront him with nine video films of his 'unautho-rised' rendezvous with American diplomats. Sehgal the superspy was accused of having worked for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), leading to his unceremonious exit last November from the IB where he was always considered a bright officer.

The Sehgal case, however, has raised a host of questions for which there are no clear-cut answers yet. Was he guilty? If so, what was the nature of the information he passed on? Why didn't the Government prosecute him if it had evidence of his involvement in counter-espionage? Was Sehgal a victim of what many see as an ongoing war of attrition between the Ministry of Home Affairs and the IB?

Apart from his intelligence skills, Sehgal is known for his love of golf and jazz. He, along with former solicitor general Soli J. Sorabji, formed the Delhi Jazz Society in 1978 and organised the Jazz Yatra in 1984. Interestingly, Sehgal once told the then station chief of the CIA at a dinner party in Delhi: "I play golf in the morning, listen to jazz in the evening and have a few scotches in between. I have limited demands." Quite amused with Sehgal's humorous remark, the Delhi CIA chief went to town quoting the IB officer.

But that did not particularly affect Sehgal's career or rating. So, the counter-intelligence chief was taken aback when Arun Bhagat, director of the IB, summoned him to his office on November 12 last year, and asked him pointedly: "How much money has the CIA been paying you?" Sehgal was accused of "unauthorisedly meeting" foreign diplomats and working for the CIA. He was asked to explain his conduct in writing.

For a senior IB officer heading the counter-intelligence unit, who was also handling the security of Indira Gandhi and her family for 11 years, the charges were indeed serious. Sehgal's written answer obviously did not satisfy his superior. According to IB sources, Sehgal's house was searched from 11 pm to 4 am on November 12 but nothing incriminating was recovered. Then on November 14, Sehgal was formally questioned by four IB officials—two of them his juniors.

It was during this interrogation that Seh-gal was shown nine clandestinely recorded video films of his meetings with the US diplomats who were allegedly two undercover agents for the CIA. He was also asked to furnish details of his properties and banking transactions. However, only a few thousand rupees were found in his bank account.

Sources close to Sehgal reveal that the intelligence officer was called by Bhagat to his residence on November 17 and clearly told to choose "within 30 minutes" one of two options: resignation or detention under the National Security Act (NSA). At the same time he was given to understand by the IB director that the cabinet secretary and the home secretary wanted him to be detained under the NSA. Left with virtually no option, Sehgal came home and typed out his letter seeking "premature retirement". The 'forced' exit, however, could not stem the controversy that was generated. The spy scandal which has sent shock waves through the intelligence and diplomatic circles in New Delhi and Washington has not only exposed the murky handling of sensitive issues by the Government but also raised questions about the basic functioning of the country's premier undercover intelligence agency.

Moreover, it has brought to the fore India's weakness in taking a tough stand against the US. Till date, the Government is tightlipped over the status of the two American diplomats—one a man and the other a woman—who met Sehgal. Even their identity is being kept a closely-guarded secret. "We don't want to further deteriorate relations between the two countries by revealing the names," says a top IB official. There is apprehension in political circles that the issue could snowball into a major diplomatic row if action is taken against the diplomats.

That the Government had taken the matter seriously was evident by the fact that Cabinet Secretary T.S.R Subramaniam himself was present when Foreign Secretary Salman Haider summoned US Ambassador Frank Wisner and asked him to withdraw the two diplomats allegedly involved in the spy case. Diplomatic grapevine has it that while the Americans are willing to send back the lady in question, they are resisiting the demand to withdraw the man alleged to be involved.

But what about evidence against Rattan Sehgal? According to sources, the IB started keeping a tab on him in mid-'96 when Avijit Mitra was the director. While shadowing one of the American diplomats suspected to be an undercover agent for the CIA, IB sleuths found Sehgal meeting with the diplomat frequently.

And thus Sehgal also came under surveillance. The IB recorded nine of his meetings on video—without any audio—showing him standing and talking to the US diplomat at social gatherings, including a Diwali party.

Is that enough to prove that Sehgal had been working for the CIA? Or was it going to be another l'affaire Dreyfus? If there is enough evidence to prove he was more than hobnobbing with the Americans and was in fact a double agent, why was he let off so easily?

There are conflicting views. And different lobbies within the IB are working at cross-purposes. In fact, dissent started brewing in the organisation when Bhagat—considered to be an outsider—joined as director on October 1, 1996. Many senior officials waiting for the top post did not like his induction. This anti-Bhagat lobby in the bureaucracy is now saying that Bhagat himself had "unauthorised" meetings with the CIA in Washington—a charge also levelled against Sehgal. Sources say that soon after joining the IB, Bhagat sent a proposal to the Ministry of Home Affairs for attending an international conference in Arizona. He sought permission to stay in Washington for a while on his way back home to call on the heads of security and intelligence organisations.

SOURCES say that Home Secretary K. Padmanabhaiah turned down the request. But when Bhagat directly approached Home Minister Indrajit Gupta, he cleared it. According to the rules, the IB is supposed to interact only with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the US. But insiders say that Bhagat spent one whole day on October 24 in Washington with one of the deputy directors of the CIA. The question being asked is: can there be two different sets of rules for two officials working in the same organisation? If the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) is the only agency authorised to have liaison with the CIA, then Bhagat's meeting with the CIA official is also open to question.

Although Rattan Sehgal has always been considered a high-profile officer, his sympathy for foreigners, especially Americans, is well known. "He always felt there was a kind of paranoia in the Indian agencies as far as the Americans were concerned," reveals one of his colleagues. In charge of VVIP security, Sehgal interacted freely with foreign security officials. His interaction with foreigners dates back to 1969, the year he joined the IB, and was overseeing the Tibetan Army, an insurgent group created by India with the help of the US which operated out of Nepal. The 'army' was to operate in Tibet.

Even during his five-year tenure as joint secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sehgal interacted a lot with foreigners. "At one point in time, at least 12 ambassadors used to sit in my room," Sehgal is said to have told one of his friends. Nobody questioned him then because there was no bar on a joint secretary meeting foreign diplomats.

He continued to keep in touch with foreign diplomats even after he was posted to the IB in July 1994. Even though the official spokesman of the Government of India has said that no major damage has been caused through his liaison with foreigners, Sehgal had clearly deviated from the established norm that an intelligence official should inform his superiors before meeting a foreigner. This is where Sehgal's conduct comes under a cloud.

Sources in the Home Ministry say that while briefing Padmanabhaiah about the case, Bhagat also pointed out that no major information had been passed on to the American diplomats and Sehgal was "still being cultivated". But why not the other way round, ask Sehgal's friends, who claim that he had been tapping the Americans. Even if this was true, it was imperative on Sehgal's part to report his meetings to the IB, which he failed to do.

Recommending Sehgal for premature retirement, the IB has written to the Ministry of Home Affairs that "there is no vigilance and departmental inquiry pending against" him. This virtually exonerates Sehgal of all charges. But, since he has not been given any written showcause notice or formal chargesheet, he can't move any court. And so the matter rests.

This is also face of secularism. Some people will gruel all con race candidates at various levels to extract maximum promises plus apologies and what not.

No one is asking for a request to UN to force pakis ban ISI.

we don't want to let loose the freudian under the slip of pappu shahzada. there may be literally nexus with isi-mafias of the european world and the columbian drug market. only people who have dealt or part of the network can understand these. i'd keep a hot pursuit on this matter once CBI is restructured.

Republican party denies inviting Narendra Modi to address leaders
indianexpress.com | Nov 19th 2013

Republican leaders have denied extending an invitation to Narendra Modi to address Congressional leaders and Indian-Americans via video link next week and accused a US-based supporter of the BJP's prime ministerial candidate of "misrepresenting" their party.

Chicago-based Shalli Kumar, a supporter of Modi, has been served with a "cease and desist" letter by the office of Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers advising him to stop misrepresenting the Republican party and one of its top lawmakers.

Amidst mounting criticism from secular forces, Republican party leaders yesterday said that they have not invited Modi to address them via video link at the Capitol Hill on November 19, in what could be a major embarrassment for the Gujarat Chief Minister.

Kumar, who had earlier this year taken a group of Republican lawmakers to Gandhinagar for meeting Modi, was sent the cease and desist letter by Rodgers, after it was brought to her notice that the Indian-American has issued a flyer in which he had inappropriately used the House seal and also put names and pictures of several top Republican lawmakers without their permission.

However, in a letter, which was circulated along with Kumar's invitation letter, Rodgers had mentioned about "Bharat Divas" and the invitation to Modi to address the Indian- American-community and the Congressional leaders via video link. Rodgers' office did not respond to questions on this letter.

A close associate of Modi in the US confirmed that the Gujarat Chief Minister was not addressing the controversial Capitol Hill meeting.

"Please be assured that Mr Modi has not been invited to address the House GOP Meetup. We have sent a 'cease and desist' letter to Mr Shalli Kumar advising him to stop misrepresenting the GOP Conference and Chairman McMorris Rodgers," Nicolas D Muzin, Director of Outreach & Coalitions, House Republican Conference, said in an email.

The email was in response to some Indian-Americans who had raised the issue of Modi being invited to address the Republican Party's annual meet at the Capitol Hill for Indian- Americans.

"Additionally, I believe he (Kumar) is in violation of ethics rules regarding improper use of the Congressional seal, stationary, and indicia. I have been in touch with the House Committee on Administration about steps we can take to properly distance ourselves from his actions," Muzin said in the email.

Congressman Pete Sessions in a statement distanced himself from the November 19 event called "Bharat Divas" at the Capitol Hill organised by the National Indian American Public Policy Institute (NIAPPI) headed by Kumar.

This event was being organised on the same day when Rogers and Ed Royce, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, had invited scores of Indian-Americans from across the country at the "Indian-American Meetup".

'The Indian-American Meetup', organised by the Republican party Conference and the House Foreign Affairs Committee, is scheduled to be addressed by top Republican leaders.

"The Meetup will provide a unique opportunity for leaders of Indian-American communities across the country to connect with Members of Congress to discuss legislative and policy priories, both on the domestic and foreign policy fronts," an invitation letter signed jointly by Rodgers and Royce, said.

"We want to hear about the issues that are important to you, so that we can work together to secure a more prosperous America," the invitation said.

In his flyer attached with the "Bharat Divas" invitation letter, Kumar named and put pictures of several top Republican lawmakers as expected attendees. Many of them yesterday said they were not aware.

"It has come to my attention that the NIAPPI recently used my name and image on an invitation to an event that it is hosting in Washington, DC, on November 19. At no point in time did I agree to attend this event, nor did I approve of the use of my name or image on this invitation," Congressman Sessions said in a statement.

"Further, I did not see the invitation until it had been distributed publicly. Had I known that my name and image were on this invitation before it was distributed, I would have requested that they both be removed," he said.

"Additionally, I have contacted NIAPPI to request that they remove my name and image from this invitation and that they explicitly ask my approval before using my name or image in any of their materials going forward," Sessions said.

Kumar could not be reached either by phone or email.

Meanwhile in a letter to House of Representative Speaker John Boehner and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, the Coalition Against Genocide complained that the promotional material for the "Bharat Divas", carries the seal of the US House of Representatives, as well as pictures of the top leadership of the Republican Party, including those of Speaker John Boehner and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor.

"We urge you to issue a statement distancing yourself from the event and the organisers, and ensure that you do not aid and abet a misrepresentation of the Republican Party's position on India," the Coalition said in a letter yesterday.

"One of the deeply alarming aspects of this event is that all the 'senior leaders' from India invited to this event are associated with the Hindutva supremacist movement and its political wing, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), including Chief Minister Narendra Modi of Gujarat, who will address the gathering via satellite video," the letter said.

The matter has been taken up seriously with the organisers of the "Bharat Divas" and they have been asked to remove it immediately.

I agree with Rajiv.

Right now the forces representing the dynasty are at the nadir.

Modi's star is rising.

If even now Modi can not win, then it is clear that the dynastic system and those who back them have won.

India will be broken apart along religious and social lines if the centrifugal forces unleashed by Sonia are not held back.

2014 is critical.

Very scary

Looks like MAFIA DIEnasty is letting every terrorist force in India, Pakistan,ISI,Saudi to unite to finish Modi

Terror outfits converge on prime target Modi - The IB note says that the ISI met with Dawood to discuss resuming tensions in India and also to target Modi.

Intelligence Bureau note has alerted the Central government about specific threats to the life of BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, from terrorist elements such as Dawood Ibrahim and Yaqoob Khan, aka Rasool "Party", one of the absconding accused in the murder of former Gujarat Home Minister Haren Pandya. The alert, a copy of which is available with The Sunday Guardian, notes the several ways by which these two, as well as terrorist outfits such as Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), Hizbul Mujahideen (Huji) and Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) are planning to eliminate Modi.

The IB note talks about a recent meeting held between Dawood Ibrahim and officers of Pakistan's Inter Services Intelligence, in which the gangster-turned-terrorist was "tasked to restart activities in India and also target Shri Narendra Modi". This is the first time that Dawood, accused of orchestrating the 1993 Mumbai blasts, has been engaged to neutralise such a high-value target inside India.

The IB note is based on data gleaned from various Central intelligence agencies that intercepted phone calls and messages between terror outfits such as JeM, LeT and SIMI among others. The note talks about how these terror outfits are coordinating among themselves to achieve their target.

According to the note, Rasool "Party" is planning to carry out the assassination using a rocket launcher or by ramming an explosive-laden vehicle into Modi's convoy. The note reads, "Route ... should be given utmost importance aside from covering and sanitizing all such places from where a rocket launcher can be used for this attack on the route".

The note then adds that "one Shahid alias Bilal" another absconder accused having links with fellow Hyderabadi Rasool "Party", "has informed an unidentified associate in Saudi Arabia that he was in favour of carrying out a suicide attack as against a remote-controlled IED (indigenous explosive device) attack on the Chief Minister of Gujarat". This is because such an attack "would act as a 'Major Motivator' for others".

The IB note then mentions another intelligence input received from "Central Security Agencies" saying that "a Hizbul Mujahideen operative active in Muzaffarabad (in Pakistan occupied Kashmir) is to undertake subversive activities in India. During discussion (HuM leader) Shahryar expressed that he is also in favour of targeting anti-Muslim leaders such as Shri Narendra Modi."

The IB note goes on to say that some "Islamic Fundamentalists based in Saudi Arabia" are planning to pull off a suicide mission by infiltrating the police. "According to an input, (an) LeT operator had obtained POLICE UNIFORMS and has recruited some Indian Security Officials to gain entry for the attack which may be in the shape of a suicide mission to assassinate Modi and kill as many bystanders as possible," says the note.

The note also says that SIMI activists arrested by the Madhya Pradesh police have confessed to raising a women's suicide mission squad. These "Shaheen Force" is being raised primarily to target Narendra Modi.

The note highlights that SIMI members are "networking with LeT, HUJI and JeM".

Narendra Modi, apparently also "figures prominently" on the "hit list of CPI (Maoist)" cadre.

Earlier this month, the BJP's demand for increased security to Narendra Modi saw a fresh slugfest between the main Opposition and the ruling Congress. The BJP sought heightened security cover for Modi in light of the serial bomb blasts at his rally in Patna last month. The party reportedly demanded for "foolproof security" to Modi and alleged that the Patna blasts were meant to "liquidate the party leadership".

Former BJP chief, and party MP Venkaiah Naidu, said, "People do not trust the Central government will act in a responsible manner. It works only for the welfare of one family. Instead of acting on biases, the Centre must act in accordance with the threat perception."

Communist Party of India (CPI) leader D. Raja said, "I definitely believe that the Home Ministry will take note of the threat alerts and view them with all seriousness".

Congress spokesperson Meem Afzal's remark after the Patna blasts that "Now, he (Modi) wants to look like the Prime Minister without becoming one" drew the BJP's ire.

The Centre had made it clear that there was little scope for an upgrade as the BJP's prime ministerial candidate already enjoyed the highest "Z-plus" protection by NSG commandos and was not eligible for SPG cover.

Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde has publicly said that extending SPG cover to Modi would require an amendment to the SPG Act. SPG is mandated to provide security only to the Prime Minister, former Prime Ministers and their immediate kin.

Minister of State for Home R.P.N. Singh has reportedly said that Modi's security detail was commensurate with his threat perception.

Does it take a great deal of intelligence to figure out the threat to Modi. I will consider all of us very lucky if he lives till the polls of 2014. The dynasty will do all it can to get rid of Modi.

10 years of most venal propaganda will be used to justify the murder.
