I'm not sure if many people remember but Arun Jaitley was the in-charge of elections in Gujarat in 2002 & 2007. Modi & Jaitley are close friends. And a lot of legal advice to NaMo in various cases (encounter case, ishrat jahan case, snoopgate etc) is given by Arun Jaitley. And he will be the number 2 in the next NDA govt. no matter what others say.

Once NaMo becomes the PM of India, all these sarkari and non sarkari Muslims will come around and claim that Muslims voted for NaMo despite Fatwa and resistance by qoum.
Once this stronghold of Islamic votebank is breached, we will see all these casteist and 'Sickular' parties rushing in to placate Hindus of all caste and colors.

Defence must be someone dynamic. Whispers say that the worst period in DRDO was when Mulayam singh Yadav was in charge.They had to employ a Hindi Pundit to translate powerpoint presentations to show case their plans to that goon and people wondered whether he could understand the chaste Hindi translations in meaning let alone content. The era of Anthony was one of obfuscations and dithering.People where forced to give unrealistic timelines when they knew they could not simply because of practical reasons or budgetary constraints or self implosions by political will (wanting to sabotage programs for import kickbacks. We need a dynamic person willing to allocate budgets and promote indigenization.

@Disha- Just came back from my barber who was in India during the voting at Meerut. While he was not pro-lotus, he was not anti also. I have some pointers. He said that though SP is trying very hard they won't get anything. No amount of gulab-jamuns and cash getting them the vote. He said that congress will get so badly f*****d like not even in 50 years. Pappu is useless but maybe Pappini should have been brought earlier. He said........' An ki baar Modi Sarkar.' And behenji at state next time.

From what I got from him, seems that this time if not pro-Modi, then at least voting is not happening along religious lines so much.

Update done. Now let me go, put on my dhoti and do my ritual dhoti shiver

Pankaj, yes seen it. Aap drones are already pushing it across the net. Giving a push back. It's not backed by data. At best an opinion piece riddled with logical leaps from a person who does not care enough to vote and has no experience or authority in this context. But then even if it's wrong we must respect the right to freedom of expression as enshrined in Indian condition. Hope that our right to put rebuttals will also be respected.

Saar .. the threat to cut off their so called 'developmental aid' has caused some countries, I don't recall their names, to come begging to be allowed to continue.

It is good time to cut all 'developmental aid' from Scandinavian countries and in the process halt 'all' money flowing into the country from these countries. We know that most of it is use to fund anti-nationals. Let IKEA in with a higher India sourcing requirement.

David Cameron was under intense pressure last night to slash the £1billion in aid Britain gives to India after the country said it no longer wanted the money.

India's finance minister Pranab Mukherjee said the booming country should 'voluntarily' give up the £280million a year it receives from Britain.

He told the Indian parliament: 'We do not require the aid. It is a peanut in our total development spending.'

It also emerged that in a leaked memo dating from 2010 India's then foreign minister Nirupama Rao suggested India should not accept any further aid from Britain's Department for International Development because of the 'negative publicity of Indian poverty promoted by DFID'.

I am happy with FDI in infrastructure and high tech, knowledge industries. I am not in favor of huge companies coming in and selling low tech stuff.

Indian carpenters should not have to suffer due to IKEA. However they can put up shop for export.

Many of these so called aid is subsidy for their domestic ngo and suppliers because they mandate who will supply product and supervise distribution. A fat gora will be sent to live on hardship duty in jor bagh or bandra west as India aid director.

Most of the aid is actually spent on consultants/companies from those countries who patronize politicians. It is form of bribery in these western countries.

UK gives aid to Jamaica and Jamaica hires consultants/companies who have links with UK Govt. Very common practice.

That is how Aid works. UN and several international agencies work the same way. Big donor get to appoint their politicians in plum positions.
