I understand it was for 11th but Arnab showed it before RG's Roadshow in Varanasi on 10th so that he would get to respond to NaMo comments. Slimeball that he is.

Again confirms the mendacity of English media. They have track record in the cash for votes scandal when they chose not to air the tapes. Yet BJP still trusts these scumbags. Whoever advised Modi to give the Aranab interview needs to get his head examined.

I think the Timesnow owners misused their access to get the interview.

Among the lot of News Traders i consider the worst is Karan Thapar, Arnab, Sagarika, SidV, Rajdeep and Barkha in that order. You can interchange Barkha/ Rajdeep. ToI is a compromised outlet, completely in institutional synch with the Nehruvian rot legacy. They've taken and promoted a whole lot of people who have imbibed the Nehruvian ideological rot like Padgaonkar etc.

Now that Namo has gone to Varanasi, he should embibe Bholenath role in this universe. It is to destroy what is rotten, or past its time (and destroy obstacle, evil etc), so that the new can grow. The English MSM is there. There is no need to assimilate them, they have moved past that point, should be destroyed (punish them for the mistakes that they have committed, legally in court) so that a new order of English MSM can come up. Let Brahma do the creation, but before that Bholenath has to destroy.

2. (SBU) According to political contacts, Sampath is the consensus choice of the incumbent Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government. He is a senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, highly regarded by his colleagues. Originally from Andhra Pradesh, he is said to maintain close ties with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S.R. Reddy. Many believe that Reddy fast-tracked Sampath's nomination through the UPA bureaucracy and see in it a sign of the Andhra Chief Minister's growing influence in the party. One of the most attractive attributes of the Sampath choice for the UPA no doubt is his age. At 59 years, he will serve until retirement at age 65 in 2015 and will likely be Chief Election Commissioner if parliamentary elections are held on their five-year schedule in 2014.

Modi was very ill advised about giving this interview. The whole interview is nothing but hurling allegations after allegations on Modi, while Modi is defending himself all the time. Nothing else could be expected from these news traders. The whole thing would predictably revolve around "you are communal, you are fascists, you are against Muslims, you are against Bangladeshis, you are against the idea of India, you are Hindu supremacists, you are violent hoodlums, you are behind demolition of Babri, you allowed Muslims to be killed in Godhra riots, you favour businessmen like Adani ... blah, blah, blah." The whole thing is so predictable, I can tell the questions and allegations in advance.

Modi cannot call these journalists as news traders and then offer them respectability by giving them these type of interviews. Same thing happened when NDA gained power -- they began wining and dining these news traders in the hope that they can be turned around. The snakes just kept biding their time and then came after BJP with a vengeance once UPA gained power. Will BJP make the same mistake again? These news traders just understand the language of the stick. Journalists thrive on access to those in corridors of power. If BJP gives them this access easily, they will have absolutely no purchase over them. Better to blacklist select news traders and make an example out of them by denying them any kind of access or interviews. Friendly journalists like Rajat Gupta should be pampered, on the other hand. It's simply carrot and stick.

Sorry to say that Arnab is making Modiji sweat a little bit. He is sounding like a smaller man, not his usual royal personality.

This interview with this News Vulture was unnecessary. The only saving grace is that most of the polling is over.

How sir?

Modi is answering Arnab even before he completes the question and unlike Arnab with others, not following it up, moves to next question
Asked him why TimesNow is so intrested in protecting the family?
curtly told him that "I thought Arnab does research before asking questions...."
While answering, Arnab was interrupting him, Modi said "You are the editor of this channel, you can give a 1 hour bhasan later, let me speak..."
Told him that there is some "Gandh" in his mind :D

I hope he does not drive back the same roads. Is there space for helicopter to pick him up from BJP office?

When asked about necessity for a postpoll alliance with Jayalaltitha he said BJP will get a majority but then every MP is a representative of 125 crore Indians and he has to interact with them just like he similarly he needs to engage with Times Now even if .......... :rotfl:

This is a stupid interview by an overrated interviewer and Modi is doing easily well. There is a huge IQ gap between Modi and AG which is quite evident.

The bottom line in the interview is that he is going on the governance angle full cylinders.. Cases etc. will also be conducted but using mechanisms without any interference. No vendetta. Will co-opt all segments, across parties, msm and what not.

lost live feed.

nicely planned interview by Namo team, he got good audience sitting in a studio, TRP rating would have hit a the top. Now more people with common sense would be convinced why its important for this man to be PM

Watching the interview one gets the feeling that Arnab and Times NOW has negotiated hard to get it. There seems to be a clear understanding of ground rules. If Arnab tries to cross the line and go offensive, there would be no holding back. Since it is not in Times NOW studio but Modi's place with his cameras rolling parallely, Arnab will also know that fancy editing to make Modi look defensive or come bad will be outed. So this will be a guarded jousting at best. Still Modi made it clear what he thinks of the MSM and at one place looks straight into the camera and says that the country has gone past the grip of one family and vested interests but it will be difficult for the vested interests to accept them. That was clearly directed to the Delhi Sultanate and its elite including the MSM media.

I think he was clear about what he can say and what he cannot say. Arnab was deferential, like all bullies are when faced with some one who can beat the hell out of a bully or when they face a bigger bully like he was when he interviewed Amma. All bullies are like that. Modi is not intimidated by bullies for sure.

The elections are basically over, the only reason he is giving interviews to these selected outlets are for maroing sessions or for his own entertainment. The "krantikari media ka dhanywad" in the Aajtak interview was simply epic. The Times now interview in more in the same vein.

On Snoopgate:

When Arnab kept on asking about Snoopgate and after repeatedly answering that the matter is with SC, I can't comment, Namo finally told:
"You are an interviewer, your job is to ask questions, dont try to trap me...If you want to trap me I am ready bring your 10 people and i will respond to them, it is with SC and if you think you are above SC, I can't help it"

Repeatedly pricking Arnab with "your translation is wrong....."
And on some other question, "Pata nahi kaun sa karz hai family ka in channels pe, they keep on defending them....[Don't know what debt these channels have, they keep on defending the family]" Arnab gets defensive and says TimesNow is neutral!
