I don't mind slight lag... But can I browse other stuff on ipad?

Hmm.. I was talking about Laptop or Desktop. I don't think you can do it on iPad. But you can check by downloading chrome browser app and see whether it allows casting of tabs.

Not from a tablet. On a latop/desktop you can stream a chrome browser tab(you have to download the Google Cast extension for the browser). The chrome beta version on tablets lets you stream HTML5 but unfortunately CNN-IBN/NDTV/TimesNow all seem to use Flash instead, so no luck.

Advani is very happy

Laddoos being prepared at the BJP headquarters in Delhi on Thursday in anticipation of the election results. As many as 25 quintals of motichoor laddoos are being made at the BJP canteen. The laddoo-making operation is overseen by Arun Kumar Jain, the BJP office secretary who is credited with tweaking the lotus symbol and giving it a sharper profile before these elections. He suggested that the lotus should be outlined in thick black lines and the inside of the lotus should be left white to make it identical to the symbol that appeared on the EVMs. Earlier, the BJP’s lotus was coloured pale saffron with a green outline and a green stem.

Biggest conspiracy theory of RMji busted.

Saffron to white is dictated by EJ-MNC alliance to Modi

State BJP spokesperson and party vice-president I K Jadeja said on May 16 (Friday), the CM will watch result trends on TV till 11.30 am at his official residence in Gandhinagar. "After that he and other senior party leaders are expected to visit state BJP new headquarters, Kamalam, at Koba near Gandhinagar," Jadeja said.

Modi will leave for Vadodara — one of the two Lok Sabha constituencies from where he is contesting the polls — around 2:30 pm on Friday. Later in the evening, he will participate in the Vijay Utsav public rally planned for him in Vadodara before returning to Ahmedabad for another Vijay Utsav rally.

On Saturday, he will leave for Delhi where he will be felicitated by party leaders and workers. He will then proceed to participate in the BJP's parliamentary board meeting. Later in the afternoon, around 4 pm, he will leave for Varanasi where he will pay obeisance at Kashi Vishwanath temple, attend the Ganga Arti event and then return to Gandhinagar by 9 pm.

"The party has planned grand victory celebrations with firecrackers and sweets in all districts across the state. This promises to be like a Diwali celebration. Special arrangements have also been made at Kamalam," Jadeja said.

Stop shibering guys...

I have been dying to attend a BRF meet. Any chances of having one down south? Anywhere in TX, GA, AL etc etc. Or Memphis, TN :-)

Couple of general comments at large....before the thread is locked, it would be good to have some posts from certain members summarizing their impressions...actually anyone who's interested in posting some sort of a commentary or a summary.....

specifically niran (on the ground work he did), Arjun, who started this thread (comment on how it evolved, and any effect it might have had on the outside), Karan M (along the same lines), Rudradev (about twitter and SM), certainly muraliravi (polls, statistics, trend spotting etc), Prem Kumar (call-a-thon and the responses they got). It does not have to be formal or in perfect prose. Just a lines of summary/commentary would be fitting. (Missed many other posters but.....Atri, harbans too.....)

With this thread, I also hope several people learnt few things.,

for eg.

CongI role in Emergency (the atyachar was as bad as Holocaust, not the scale)
Kamalnath's role in Sikh massacres
CongIs role in Sikh pogrom and several riots
How the dynasty functions and how media and ngos pimp the dynasty.
How the votebank is divided on KHAM lines.

Additonally, the Gujarat model vs. the Amethi model came up in stark comparison.

This Rajdeep Sardesai needs a lesson:

"The final thank you card should be sent to the media: never before has the Indian media been so open about its role as political cheerleader. Instead of a serious interrogation of the Gujarat model of development, a powerful section of the media allowed Mr Modi to get away with a mix of genuine achievement, clever marketing and half truths. When Mr Modi, for example, almost claimed credit for Gujarat's "White revolution", the media even forgot to remind him of a certain Dr Verghese "Amul" Kurien. In the making of Brand Modi, the man from Vadnagar owes a huge debt to the media."

Except the same media (this Rajdeep character) has extolled the virtues of the dynasty. Simple test: Would this guy have written the same about this Borgia family?

I think Modi needs a big credit from the Media for making him into an unstoppable force. Without their harping of 2002 endlessly, Modi would have been a very successful CM of a prominent state in India. No one would have taken him seriously at the national level.

Modi being highly successful worked in his favor when the media tried to say there was "no development" in Gujrat. Then everyone came to know that there was development at an astonishing scale in Gujrat.

After this they tried to force the hand of BJP by asking them to "declare" their prime-ministerial candidate, hoping that BJP would fall for sikularism and bring in LKA or one of the D4. When Modi was declared as the candidate, they got brown pants and they tried to discredit him resulting in the exact opposite outcome. The election turned presidential and our Pappu was no match for a statesman like Modi.

So yes, the Media played a large role in making Modi, and he should pay them back in kind by destroying them.

This article, without those daggers, is getting a lot of shares and retweets on sm. A lot of people understand now how things work with the foreign media and their general disdain for a lot that is hindu and india. Better this way. Even the starved need to be brought to life slowly :)

We need to focus on producing more Modis. Expect a restart in the social sciences departments. If we know who we are, and who they are, we are going to deal a heavy blow to the west and islamists. Expect a boost in relations with Russia and Japan to keep the US and China occupied. We should use this time to build up our defenses and integrate the neighborhood under an economic union based on dharmic priniciples. We are in a good spot now. We can also extract concessions from the yanks when it suits us.
