Modi reveals his Nepalese foster son
Link
KATHMANDU: When India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi travelled this week to Kathmandu, he stunned observers by bringing along a surprise guest — his Nepalese foster son. The 63-year-old prime minister is known to be extremely secretive about his personal life, and only acknowledged he was married a month before winning elections in May.But in a rare display of openness, Mr Modi posted a series of tweets about the previously unknown Jeet Bahadur Magar, whom the premier has been assisting since discovering him as an 11-year-old boy in Gujarat.“I started showing my concern for Jeet Bahadur. Gradually, he took interest in academics, sports & even learnt (to speak) Gujarati,” Mr Modi tweeted. The premier funded the boy’s education and years later asked Nepalese business magnate Binod Chaudhary, head of the Chaudhary Group, to help him find his family in Nawalparasi district, about 250 kilometres southwest of Kathmandu.Magar, now 27, who is still living in India but has reconnected with relatives, accompanied Narendra Modi on his two-day visit to Nepal, which ended on Monday, so the premier could meet his family.“The prime minister wanted to personally bring them together,” Madhusudan Poudel, head of communications at the Chaudhary Group, said. Photos of the reunion on Sunday — showing Modi, his foster son and his family — were posted on the Indian foreign ministry’s Twitter account.Magar is pursuing a business degree in Gujarat and will return to India after spending some time with his family.“The whole world now recognises Narendra Modi, but for me he is my big brother,” Magar told an Indian news agency.“I met him when I was little, he took care of me like his own son,” he said.Magar had travelled as a boy to India to work with his brother, but after deciding to leave, boarded the wrong train and arrived alone in Modi’s home state of Gujarat instead of at the Nepalese border.

R. Jagggi argues Modi is not projecting his power and wonders if BJP will wither/squander away like UPA2. His questions are quite logical in an animal kingdom.

Mizoram governor Kamla Beniwal axed for ‘misuse’ of office in Gujarat

Good Riddance.
NEW DELHI: In a surprise move, President Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday sacked Mizoram governor Kamla Beniwal with barely four months left for her tenure.

Beniwal, who had crossed swords with PM Narendra Modi as Gujarat governor, was only recently transferred to Mizoram. The move had come after a nudge from home secretary Anil Goswami to several UPA-appointed governors to quit did not elicit any response from Beniwal.

Government sources said the decision to sack Beniwal was taken after it came to light that she had misused the governor's office (in Gujarat) to make several unauthorized air travels, including to her home state of Rajasthan, at the expense of the state exchequer. Citing Gujarat Raj Bhavan records, media reports said Beniwal flew out of Gujarat 63 times using the state aircraft between 2011 and 2014. As many as 53 of these trips were to Jaipur.

However, observers saw it through the prism of the uneasy relationship that Beniwal as Gujarat governor shared with Narendra Modi when he was chief minister. She had run ins e with the Modi government over the appointment of Lokayukta and other issues such as appointment of vice-chancellors and some important legislations

Give Narendra Modi time to turn the economy around: Ratan Tata
KOLKATA: Asserting that Narendra Modi has a proven track record, Tata Sons' chairman emeritus Ratan Tata Wednesday said the new government should be given more time to turn around India's economy.
"Modi has a track record of being a doer, and what he has done in Gujarat is there for everyone to see. He has a huge task nevertheless in turning around the economy to growth oriented rather than control oriented," he said.
"We will have to give him a little more time. But I am very hopeful that he will turn things around," Ratan Tata said"

I tend to believe that each event in the mafia gang is orchestrated.
So, this dram too had some hidden motives. Maybe connected to the ongoing NH case.
Sudden urges that pappu gets may as well be driven by some other substantial reasons.

Rahul Gandhi's sound and fury in Parliament is not going to revive Congress
The normally indifferent Rahul Gandhi trying to make his presence felt in Parliament should be good news for the Congress.

On Wednesday, while walking into the well of the House and speaking to the media outside, he was at least trying to convey the impression that the party was not leaderless and that he was in charge. The fear of a ‘palace coup’ – as remarked by Arun Jaitley - may not be what goaded him into action. However, it is still a case of too little, too late.
Matters of Parliament can be handled by experienced leaders; the real challenge for Rahul lies in getting the party organisation active again.
He has to dismantle a coterie of leaders that seem to be controlling the Congress and left it alienated from the rank and file. This is where he just doesn’t seem to be in the mood to do anything.
....
With elections due in Haryana and Maharashtra later this year, most senior leaders are wary of facing the electorate. The likes of Narayan Rane in Maharashtra and Chaudhary Birender Singh in Haryana are making no bones about their anger against the high command in public.
....
But nothing seems to be affecting Rahul Gandhi as he goes about doing his politics in the same manner as if nothing has changed. Even caustic remarks by former Rajya Sabha MP from Madhya Pradesh, Gufran Azam didn’t seem to bother him when he was blamed for “destroying” the party with his experiments in frontal organisations.

"Everybody from all over India wants that all members of Gandhi family should come in politics. We want that all three of them should take the leadership role in the party (hum chaahte hain ki tinon party ki kamaan sambhale)," party spokesperson Shobha Oza told reporters.
Actually all people all over India want them to jump into Bay Of Bengal. Hope they jump soon. I wonder all the back grounf checks on vadra will come out once the PAPPINI comes out of shell

Rahul frustrated over Priyanka chorus: BJP
Nice strategy. Make the family fight between themselves. Actually suggest that nikkamma CON men should let Vadra lead them. Put more ghee into the fire.

Rahul was joined by the RJD MP Pappu Ranjan Yadav in the well, while Malikarjun Kharge continued to protest from his seat.

This made BJP MPs to sarcastically shout, "Kyon do Pappus well mein hain?" :rotfl: (why two Pappus in the well).
