+4 from my family. Bangalore Central. Took 5 min once we reached venue. AAP's Bala had virtually no presence. BJP had the biggest stall but didn't realise till after giving slips, one guy politely asked to vote BJP :) One IT-city neighbour voting Bala. Didn't dissuade him as would have gone to Cong otherwise (drunk on secular soda). Janta solidly behind BJP, I felt

I am sure the middle and upper middle class in blr will significantly vote BJP and some will vote congi as well.

but I could hardly detect any crowds of economically weaker sections in my area. their rooms had no lines at all, or maybe 2 people. my room which was almost entirely pindi complex had a line of 75 people at 9am.

Last time I think it was below 40 %.
I haven't understood why Bangalore is so lazy wrt voting despite such an educated crowd. I have voted in every election since I attained majorityand so has my family and I cannot understand how people cannot vote. My 89 year old Grandma voted (she was complaining of a lot of ae related issues but then I took her and she cast her vote. If she can , why can't younger people .

Very lackdaisical voting in Basweshwaranagar, not good for Hindus......Peaceful community is fully mobilized in Central Bangalore as their ummidwar is in the running on CongI ticket. Had visited my place yesterday when my FIL gave them an earful and sent them on their way.

No sign of the BJP anywhere....

Yes, he reports queues of 50-60 people on average in every booth. Will keep reporting here based on what he says over phone.

Even city of Patna has had dismal turnout over the last 3 hours (11-2 pm).

Added later: Tier 2 cities like Mysore & Hubli seem to show greater awareness. Around 47% each as of 1.30 pm.

Bihar seems to be voting BJP but low turnout.

UP MBC/M voting for Behenji, but BJP seems to be in the lead . Depends on how BSP, SP and Cong split votes among themselves. BJP's unified bloc is not consolidated enough everywhere to outdo everyone. RSS will have to help get out the vote with gusto.

Voting at my nearest polling station was brisk. There were long queues at 8 AM but by the time i voted (10AM), there were around 75 people between the 3 booths. This is for Bangalore Rural constituency. This assembly segment (Bangalore South) has been typically held by BJP of late but since this is a small urban pocket in an otherwise rural constituency, i doubt it'll help much. D.K.Suresh (Congress, brother of D.K.Shivakumar) will probably win the seat.

Hmmm... just as I feared... just when the going got tough, the tough reported sick. And turnout started to droop...

BTW, just checked the electoral rolls. Am registered to vote, it seems. Will do my civic duty for the country, come 30-april. Like someone mentioned, how fortunate, my first vote ever - my tryst with destiny - happened in GE 2014...

As my FIL walked into the booth a couple of youths came running and shouted something to him furiously and ran away. When he came back after voting I asked him what were they saying. They were saying we gave congress 10 years and they destroyed our nation. Give BJP 5 years please. Pretty enthusiastic chaps are manning the BJP counter there.

Can we have the previous year voter turnout for Karnataka seats? As far as i can see, there a lot of first time voters voting for modi here and i still feel it will be 10% more than the previous term.

From the sources : ->
Vote split 3:2:2:2 BJP:SP:BSP:Cong:RLD - > On 10th April this was 4:1 in favour of BJP.
Substantial section of the MBC votes to BSP; this process began on April 10th. BSP augemented by combined votes of MBC, SC and M.
Disillusioned SP folks going to BSP.

These are early trends and the data is from SP stronghold.

bjp 11 out of 11, no this is not based on how many used the services of the booths

TimesNow has been hysterically peddling the topi controversy and turned anti Modi in the last few days. They have put even NDTV and TV18 in shade as far peddling anti NaMo wares is concerned. Even Dupatta and Turdesai have toned down their anti Modi rhetoric in recently.

Some heavy danda maroing must have happened behind the scenes on Arnab Goswami.
