Re: Statewide and National runup to 2014 General elections
Vivek, Give positive spin and say BJP states dont figure in top 10 states with crimes against women.
They do if its the 11th is included. But rate is smaller than the otehrs. Should be zero and are working for it.

Re: Statewide and National runup to 2014 General elections
This has always been the case and the NAMO teams knows this full well. It explains why many rallies are in or near NCR and in eastern UP. The whole of UP is covered. I know it's scary, but keep the faith as it appears the NAMO team is on the ball.muraliravi wrote:
NDTV Hansa Survey is showing BJP in UP at 53 seats (more than what they got in 1998 with their best tally of 57 which included the 5 seats in Uttarakhand) and 38% vote share which will be their highest in history.
I am just a little too jittery, too many eggs in one basket called Uttar Pradesh
Looking at the trends I am becoming optimistic, but we have to keep the momentum going for 6 more weeks. This is will be the tough part. Let's all keep our eyes on the ball and no fumbles (American football term). The other side is getting desperate and will try lots of failed Hail Mary passes and I believe the NAMO team has a great game plan to shut the opposition down.
Let's aim for a 2/3 NDA majority in the LS. This will be the change of a generation.

Re: Statewide and National runup to 2014 General elections
Thanks Ramanaji. Although I am not Indian I am encouraging all of my relatives to vote. We need to tell all of our family to come out and vote. Should the middle class come out in numbers, then this thing will be big. In previous MP elections this wasn't the case and Niran pointed out earlier it could be bigger than Rajiv Gandhi's election in 1984 after IG.
Re: Statewide and National runup to 2014 General elections
If NDA crosses 300, there will be lots of shivering. If the economy takes off by simple effective policies and actions it will impact the world. Small countries will become more friendly.

After May 1998 Shakti tests, some US based CEOs were saying if economic policies are going to be like this, then keep on testing. Ignore the liberal MSM and see what business reactions are.
Re: Statewide and National runup to 2014 General elections
A tad premature but have there been any rumblings as to who'll get what ministry if nda wins?

I'm dhoti shivering re EVM magic only. I still say, place 64 dummy candidates in Dilli, AP and any marginal seats where vote diversion by sAAP is a possibility. Only.

I am with you. Congress dirty tricks department is bad-ass and pawarfool. That is probably only thing that can stop BJP. If INC wins then it confirms there is EVMagic. There is no way the polls and surveys could be this wrong. Photos of crowds cannot lie. SM and TV reports cannot lie. Articles in papers and magazines cannot be this wrong.Hari Seldon wrote:I'm dhoti shivering re EVM magic only. Re: Statewide and National runup to 2014 General elections
Maharashtra alone has the potential to reverse any upsets in North/South (if at all they happen) and then some. Dedicated cadre on ground from BJP/SS/RPI/SSS, dharmic people and Modi wave all ripe indications of rich harvest for Dharmic forces. Few Modi rallies in Western MH and hinterland can turn the tide on non-dharmic forces. MSM is already projecting 35 to 38 which is close to twice of 20-25 seats being projected by Atri ji couple months back.

No NDA state figures in list of top 10 states with high crime rate against women while 7 Congress ruled states figure in the list.
Re: Statewide and National runup to 2014 General elections
The fact that NaMo is aiming for 300 seats means that he is somehow confident that EVM magic can be managed. All surveys are pointing to NDA in range of 240 to 270. Come election day lot more ppl will vote for NDA than having their votes wasted. It will only get bigger from here on for NDA which also means it is getting more and more difficult for EVM black magic. Back in 2004, media had started reversing projections in favor of UPA about 2-3 weeks before elections. Not this time. What's up with all that? Has any settlement been reached between NDA, MSM, Unkil, Auntie?
Re: Statewide and National runup to 2014 General elections
I was stunned to see both post and NaMo tweet.Vamsee wrote:Kudos ramana garu, ramana wrote:Vivek, Give positive spin and say BJP states dont figure in top 10 states with crimes against women.

Congress unhappy about Chidambaram skipping polls?
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/home ...
NEW DELHI: Recent defections like that of Gautam Budh Nagar (Noida) candidate Ramesh Tomar has reinforced the party leadership's view that Congress is paying a heavy price for the reluctance of big guns like finance minister P Chidambaram to contest polls.
The Congress leadership is understood to be deeply unhappy over Chidambaram opting out of contesting his Sivaganga constituency as this was read as a vote of no confidence in the party's prospects in the Lok Sabha elections.
The impression that senior Congress leaders are running scared of facing an irate electorate, gleefully propagated by political rivals, contributed to the party being increasingly seen as an also ran in the 2014 elections.
Congress sources said the party leadership was keen on Chidambaram contesting as the signal that the man in charge of the economy is looking for an exit route was damaging, all the more so with BJP leader Narendra Modi making growth and jobs a major election issue.
The party felt Chidambaram should not shy away from a contest even if the odds against Congress are steep as it would help counter the opposition's charge that senior party leaders are looking out for life boats.
In khap-ruled Haryana, few takers for Cong’s Jat reservation card
http://www.firstpost.com/politics/in-kh ... l
In the last two general elections, the Jat votes had tilted in favour of the Congress to some extent under the influence of khap panchayats. Some of them had openly extended their support to the party, much to the discomfiture of the INLD. However, the Congress appears to be out of favour this time. The panchayats are seething in anger over growing unemployment, rising corruption and the worsening conditions of the farmers, who feel cheated for having been coerced into selling their land to land sharks, government and the corporate houses at low prices.
Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, himself a Jat, had to face the ire of his community at some places for having favoured only the Rohtak district to which he belongs. Hooda, who is facing a strong anti-incumbency wave, is making desperate efforts to win over the khaps.
....
Another Khap leader Dharampal says the organization was maintaining equal distance from all parties. "We have not issued any `fatwa’ or `farman’ for the Jats during the election. Had it not been for the sacrifice of the Jats during the struggle on the reservation issue, the community would not have been successful at all. The Congress is a party ruled by people involved in scams and scandals. Yeh to ghotala walon ki party hai," charges Dharampal.
new allergic itching has gripped all sikular parties:
Amit Shah BJP election chief of UP today in Shamli(this is ground zero of latest Muzafarnagar riots)
went and talked to the public in a one to one basis (as in nukkad gatherings not rallies)
there he said that
-- sword and arrows fight are passe, modern people take revenge by pressing the right button on EVM
so, do you people remember the tyranny and insults heaped
yeeees! was the thunderous answer
will you all revenge this
another yeees! but louder and more thunderous
so remember to press the right button
longest thunderous yes
the thunder shook the ground and all sikuars develop severe allergic reactions.
and of course a complaint with EC has been lodged.
