The Indians are toying with the idea of playing Sreesanth instead of Ashish Nehra. The left-arm pacer has been ruled out with a “multiple fracture” in the middle finger of his right hand.

Dhoni wasn’t sure on playing Sreesanth or Ravichandran Ashwin. “That is a tricky one. If you see the Mumbai track there’s a bit of pace and bounce for seamers initially. Also if there is reverse swing going, the third seamer can make an impact.

“At the same time if the three seamers are bowling well I can easily manoeuvre the bowling. But if you have three spinners along with a part-timer, and two medium pacers, you can’t manoeuvre too much
,” he said.

1996 redux. Everything is lost. SL will whoop BCCI a$$ in Mumbai. Malinga da Slinga will take 5 wickets. there is no way we can win. No way in hell.

Victory over Pakistan & win today for 26/11 victims: Gambhir
Images of the 26/11 terror attacks are still fresh in Gautam Gambhir’s mind. Like the rest of his teammates, the opener will take the field against Sri Lanka in the World Cup final with a prayer on his lips that India end up the better side.

If that happens on Saturday, Gambhir is certain of what to do next. “For me, it will be dedicated to the people who lost their lives in the 26/11 massacre. A win, that too in the World Cup final, and that too in Mumbai, should be dedicated to the victims,” he told HT in an exclusive interview on the match-eve.

The ‘patriotic’ streak was apparent as Gambhir recounted his chance meeting with some armymen during a visit to Jammu . “One of them was so emotional that he suggested I get a tattoo on my body saying, ‘I will never lose to Pakistan’. The tattoo hasn’t happened but the sentiment is etched on my heart and soul.”

If India bats first, it will reach 200. Pukka. Gaurantee. I expect 170 before the match starts onlee. Only 30 more runs pages to score.

ps: If I am around watching online and not at my friend's place. I can guarantee at least 2 pages just from me alone :rotfl:
This thread will hit 175 before the first ball is even bowled.

A tale of three neighbors:
neighbor "A" used to live in my upstairs flat for 25 years (despite having his own bigger home not too far away); he refused to pay rent and would extort half my salary.. when i asked him to leave, he destroyed my home but i got him out.. this was 40 years ago but he's never apologized since..

neighbor "B" uses his BB gun to fire pellets in my window for no good reason from time to time.. he's also constructed a big ugly fence so i stay away from him yet hes constantly breathing down my neck to keep an eye on what i do and who i welcome to my home..

- neighbor "C" lives all the way in the other end of the neighborhood so we rarely meet.. ive heard he's got a violent temper and is quite brutal with his brother-in-law who lives in a tiny room upstairs from him..he leaves me alone though

moral of the story: when Pakistan, India or Sri Lanka play against one another, who can you support as a Bangladeshi?

Nehra is the most fragile cricketer. Just when he was getting back in rhythm, got injured.
If Mumbai pitch has some turn then include Ashwin else Pathan against SL spinners.
