Wasn't SL prez Rajapakse among the first to congratulate NM on his victory? Why no mention of him? Odd...
And yes, Pak is also missing from the acknowledgement list. How very odd, indeed.... :p

AIADMK replaces district secretaries in Dharmapuri, Kanyakumari, Puducherry
CHENNAI: AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa on Monday removed party's district secretaries in Dharmapuri, Kanyakumari and Puducherry following the failure of its candidates in these Lok Sabha constituencies. (to be fair, ADMK had no chance at all in Puducherry)
BJP, PMK and All India NR Congress candidates defeated AIADMK candidates in these constituencies.

"Party members will have to extend full cooperation to the new secretaries," Jayalalithaa said in a statement.

This sort of whip lashing of her party members by AMMA is common ... people in TN have lost count of the number of ADMK MLAs who have been given the state minister position since 2011 assembly elections ... only to be thrown out of the post with in 6 months.Aditya_V wrote:This more like a villian in a film shooting his hentcheman for loosing a fight.

Congress fought elections in J&K in alliance with NC. BJP's victory on 3 seats thus becomes even more credible as it was 2(congress + nc) vs 1 (BJP) fight there. After a very long time, I'm proud of people of my clan.

In Dharmapuri, according to chindu, there was 'cross-voting'.vanniars with ADMK sympathies voted for Anbumani in caste consolidation.I dont know what that poor former ADMK Dharmapuri secy could have done? or for that matter in KK where there was Hindu-Christian polarisation.Someimes 'Amma' is so bizzarre even for her admirers.just too erratic.Thank god,BJP got a majority on its own.

That site gives the results of the Assembly elections held now, along with the results of the by polls held. It does not give us the Assembly wise break up of the LS votes. That is what I am looking for.

Muslims helped in Modi's victory, says Azam Khan http://indiatoday.intoday.in/story/musl ... 62592.html … pic.twitter.com/6xADtU2ykY
Speaking to journalists in Rampur (Uttar Pradesh) on Sunday, Khan - who had often attacked the BJP leader from Gujarat - said, "Narendra Modi's victory in the Lok Sabha polls has amply proved that Indian Muslims were and are secular."
The Uttar Pradesh minister, however, said the minority community was lured by "false promises" made by the BJP.
