The Guardian calls India’s refusal to crawl before the US a diplomatic blunder, while American bullying ‘realpolitik’: Brown sepoy mukul kesavan blames PM Modi for standing up for India’s sovereignty

mukul kesavan recently authored a piece in The Guardian, blaming PM Modi for the recent Indo-US strain, conveniently absolving Trump’s bullying and America’s double standards.

From tariffs for buying Russian oil to casteist jibes by trump’s advisers, washington tried every trick to bend India into submission. Modi’s refusal to crawl is not weakness but maturity, something brown sepoys like kesavan cannot comprehend.

Imperial Receipts with Dr Shashi Tharoor | Episode 1: The Empire

"Imperial Receipts with Dr Shashi Tharoor" is a new series that revisits the history and legacy of colonial rule. Dr Tharoor examines how the British did not simply govern India, but looted its wealth, dismantled its institutions, and reshaped its story. In Episode 1: The Empire, we step into the early years of colonial rule and begin uncovering its layers. The conversation looks at the arrival of the railways and the institutions that followed, revealing how empire shaped India in ways still felt today. This opening episode sets the stage for the rest of the series, tracing how the empire left marks that extend far beyond politics or economics, influencing the way India’s resources were used, its systems reorganised, and its people governed. These legacies, as Dr Tharoor highlights, are not relics of the past but forces still visible in the present.

Mukul Kesavan is an Indian historian, novelist and political and social essayist. He was schooled at St. Xaviers' School in Delhi and then went on to study history at St. Stephen's College
This parasite is professionally trained in the craft of Hindu/India bashing and will spin every story to buttress that narrative, however idiotic and illogical it will be.

U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Thursday fired the country’s ambassador to the United States, Peter Mandelson, over his links to the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

(This follows publication of emails Mandelson sent to Epstein in the 2000s, supporting Epstein even after his sex offenses were public.)

Good to know that at least one country in the North Atlantic tries to have some standards.

Prime Minister @Keir_Starmer & @YvetteCooperMP must provide a clarification to the UK and the world if their governments long standing stated position has shifted, on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir being a bilateral issue between India and Pakistan to resolve.

Under the previous @Conservatives government, imagine the uproar from @UKLabour and its Pakistani origin MPs had @RishiSunak, @pritipatel or @SuellaBraverman taken a position coloured by their Indian heritage. They instead demonstrated that their loyalty lay firmly with Britain’s progress and its politics, refusing to import the politics of the Indian subcontinent onto the streets of London.

In stark contrast, the current Home Secretary @ShabanaMahmood has repeatedly chosen to platform foreign politics, especially that of the Indian subcontinent onto British soil, even alongside @MayorofLondon.

This sets a deeply worrying precedent for UK, especially when her leanings appear contrary to established British foreign policy.

The British Government owes a clear explanation not only to @HCI_London, @narendramodi & @DrSJaishankar, but also to the ~2 million British Indians.

They deserve to know how @ShabanaMahmood intends to carry out her duties as @UKHomeSecretary without allowing personal bias to seep in - a bias that aligns with a state whose official state doctrine openly embraces asymmetrical warfare and terrorism.

Al Guardian reporting
Aerial footage shows scale of 'unite the kingdom' rally
Aerial footage shows a crowd of tens of thousands of people marching through central London on Saturday in a protest organised by the far-right activist Tommy Robinson. The Metropolitan police believe about 110,000 people attended his ‘unite the kingdom’ demonstration and about 5,000 a Stand Up to Racism counter-march

“Churchill once said India would not SURVIVE & would be DIVIDED after Independence. That did NOT happen.” 🎯

“Today, it is England on the verge of DIVISION — but India will stay UNITED & move forward.” 🔥

Probably.

But their split, if and when it happens, will hardly be 'partition scale'.

It certainly will not be any more violent than maybe the local weekend football matches.

^Just saying, you need to fill in a customs form if you ship a small package, 100g, to Northern Ireland from UK mainland! Partition has already begun.
