Welcome to the lower echelon of World cricket Aussie.

NZ, West Indies and England welcome you.

Looks like it will be a long time before Oz returns to the top echelon - rather thin on talent and leadership.

Not so fast with this "lower echelon" stuff, chum. England are still in this tournament, having managed at least a tie with the team that just put Australia out.

Yeah all well and good but add to that two losses against teams that wouldn't even be considered "lower echelon" :rotfl:

^^ Truely great stuff from Yuvi...the person whom i had thought was a useless selection into the 15 before the WC has really turned it on. Hat tip to you, sire.

MSD was mentioning in the post match as to how everyone will want him to win the match against the Pakis even if they dont win the cup!!!

Wonder if the thought process is any different at BRF?

Well, I'd rather MSD win the cup even if he loses to TSP....wait, that's not even remotely possible. So might as well do both.

going by recent behavior of the pitch here in mirpur, 240-250 is a decent total. Problem with NZ is lack of a second spinner.

Can only hope TI field first regardless of whether we win the toss or not.

Since batting's TI's strong suit, makes more sense to expose the batting to the pressure of chasing than expose the brittle-ish bowling to pressure only.

Imran Tahir to Taylor, OUT, big moment. Huge moment. The moment that could turn this match. Tahir has been hustling through his overs, in an attempt to catch Taylor out of breath, before this ball Taylor stopped him by walking down the pitch for some gardening. However, he has perished off the next ball, going for another one of those whip-lashed slog sweeps.

Against Pakistan, we need to b at them out of the game. a total of 320 and above is a must. They have a very good bowling unit. Their weakness id their indifferent fielding and unpredictable batting. We have a slight edge as we have now had a few quite close encounters and won. It means our dressing room will handle the pressure better than Pakistan. Time for Sehwag & Dhoni to come good and join the party! more of the good fielding and steady bowling like we did against Australia!

Smith is smarter than Dhoni! now dhoni needs to get back on his batting corrections, take the tip from Yuvraj's adviser and get going there. That is the only option for dhoni.

..but all pressarr if early wickets fall.

SA always looks the balanced team with Bowling, Batting & fielding. If they can overcome their pakiness of choking, none can beat them.

After watching Paaki Imran Taahir, my respect for Indian players like Pragyan Ojha, Murali Kartik, Amit Mishra et all has gone up. They can walk into any firangi bowling line-up. Yet they choose to stick to their motherland, specially the bowlers like Murali Kartik who have been ignored since ages.

From cricinfo, Integrity uvacha:
Asked later at the press conference to compare the Indian and Pakistan bowling attacks, Ponting said, and he looked like he meant it, that they were quite similar.

That's as big a compliment as the Indian bowling attack could have hoped to get.
SDRE bowling == TFTA bowling?

Blasphemy onlee...maybe Ponting needs to meet his Qadri for comparing a 1 TFTA=10 SDRE ratio type bowling attack..

Give your CT a rest. Ponting scored 104 for 118 balls at the strike rate of 88.13, that is very good for a #3 batsmen in an ODI.
