The Cricket World Cup Thread
Re: The Cricket Thread
someone 'shani-proof' will have to step up to the ocassion here. I can think of no such person, and in any case this whole final/kirket thing has been too overhyped. Until that happens it is 96 redux.
Re: The Cricket Thread
bookies could not make money on semis, but they will make money on this one. Once for bookies, hip hip hooray.
Re: The Cricket Thread
Bhailog, it's all down to GAWD now. Else, dhoti soiling guaranteed.
Re: The Cricket Thread
They need to shoot for 200-225 in the first 40 overs without loosing more than 3 wickets and then get the last 75 in the last 10 overs.
Re: The Cricket Thread
mann my heart is sinking now.......
Re: The Cricket Thread
We need two good partnerships in the top-middle order. That will do the job.

Re: The Cricket Thread
Waiting for Sachin's hundredth hundred.
Re: The Cricket Thread
the outfield seems to have slowed down in indian innings
Re: The Cricket Thread
Tendulkar seems to be trying too hard... He needs to preserve his wicket. I don't have an issue with opportunistic boundaries, but forcing the issue will cost wickets.

Re: The Cricket Thread
Betfair is still offering 1.81 for India and 2.2 for SL. If any one thinks SL will win this is the time to make a million dollars

He had poor fielding placement for SS.VikramS wrote:
MSD typically is a percentage and probability captain. Today he was a hope captain. He was hoping that Pranthan will get a wicket or two, instead of looking at how he was letting the pressure slip. Further if the goal was to get a wicket or two, MSD should have put in a slip in which he did not.

Re: The Cricket Thread
Can we expect a remarkable middle order taking us past the winning line? With GG and Kohli tough to predict.

Re: The Cricket Thread
It breaks my heart for Sachin. Not only he wont get his 100th century, he will never win a world cup. He deserved it (the world cup that is).

Re: The Cricket Thread
my est is 215 all out around 40 overs.
in a way its good - the media hype will be over immediately, else extended aman ki tamacha love fests would have happened.
SRT does not need a WC or 100 x 100 to prove anything, 99 x 100 is beyond legendary.
