The media is so completely an arm of govt (and much better coordinated than most) that one can no longer believe anything they say anymore. Check this out, on the infamous 'garbage truck' ferrying dead cops' bodies.

http://epaper.mailtoday.in/Details.aspx ... te=2962011

Enlarge the pic and see for yourself if its indeed a garbage truck. Its a regular truck, from what can plainly be made out. IMVHO, of course.

Then read the story below, a bevy of INC spokespeople are quoted expunging bile like whale breath. Look also at what the hand-in-glove-up-ars media is doing sexing up stories of crime & horror on dalits, women and women dalits on a daily basis soaring way above trend in Maya's UP. Joint op only. The media, again, has chosen to crawl when only asked to bend, perhaps.

You mean like the 3 incidents

1) Members of Pramod Mutaliks riot for Hire Gang beating up Hapless Women in a Mangalore Pub- there have then been stage managed fake fights between the Congress and Him on issues where the Congress cadre emerge victorious by blackening his face. Telelkha Editor holding RSS responsible his actions. Till no one explains that how the Media got there by the time the action started and no one called in the Police, especially a case where a Media cameraman runs before a woman turns the camera in front of her, effectively blocking her escape and then a guy slaps Her. And Offcourse the CHampion of woman's rights Renuka CHoudary ( who ignores Rape incidents of women in Delhi and Khamam) starts her 'Pub Bharo' campaign

2) NDTV coverage of kidnap and beating of Hindu woman by alleged Bajrang Dal activists for talking to a Muslim Man. Next day revealed that this was done by the DYFI activists on the orders of the Girl's father.

3) Girl doing sucide because RSS/ BJD activists shamed a hindu girl speaking to a Muslim Bus driver and he was in Jail. The alleged the Bus Driver's Brother was shown showing his outrage etc. and the Girls father was repeadtly attacked for holding the Bus driver responsible for her death. Turned out the Bus Driver Raped the Minor Girl and when he was caught by Public( not BJD/RSS), apprently Girl did sucide because of the shame of Rape.

These 3 stories at that time were an eye opener to me how extraordinary fear can be created through a few incidents by the Media so that they will vote in favour of the First family.

ISI spying tactics has Indian agencies worried
Posted on June 29, 2011 by Vicky Nanjappa

There is a virtual war that is being fought on our borders. Despite curbs and beefed up security along the border, the ISI continues to dish out information about India.

Sources in the Intelligence Bureau say that they have launched a major operation against collection of such information. It has come to light that those Indian’s who cross over into Pakistan legally are being lured into becoming spies and work for Pakistan agencies. Many Indians do cross over into Pakistan in order to meet their relatives or on some other work. In a year there are at least 1000 such cases and more often than not the ISI does manage to lure a considerable number of them into becoming spies for them.

Every person crossing into Pakistan has to go through certain routine checks at a police station on the border. Today there are 12 police stations on the India-Pakistan border and these places comprise officials of the ISI who normally do the questioning. After a thorough background check is conducted and permission granted to enter into their country, an offer is made.

The IB says that the ISI deals with each person in a different manner. In most of the cases that we have dealt with, the offers that are made are either money, women, drugs or in some cases diplomatic immunity. While the ISI does live up all of these promises that have been made, the one with the diplomatic immunity is something that they never live up to. When they speak about diplomatic immunity, they mean easy access into their country since most of these people cross over in connection with some business or to even meet their relatives.

Once these persons bite the bait, their job of spying commences once they return to India. While the information that is being sought is normally general in nature on some occasions it is specific. Normally the reliance on the internet for spy agencies is very minimal and they would prefer having first hand information. The IB says that in the cases that they have come across so far, the information has been regarding government policy, information relating to certain places, statements by politicians. However some cases are serious where the ISI has asked for specific details of important places along with pictures and other logistics.

The ISI has managed to place in India spies from across the country. These persons go out of the country on a valid visa but come back as spies for the ISI. Earlier the survelliance was not all that high, but off late the checks have increased two fold. As a counter measure, Indian agencies are keeping a watch on each and every person who comes back from Pakistan into India, the IB also added. Basically what the ISI is looking for is a very strong presence of their spies who are legitimate Indian citizens and this is just one of the steps forward in setting up the concept of Home Grown Jihad which they have tried in the past with the SIMI or the Indian Mujahideen.

The most recent case was that of Ismail Khan from Karanpur. His interrogation by the IB managed to give the Indian agencies a lot of information regarding this modus operandi. IB personnel who questioned this man said that Khan had a lot of revealing information regarding this concept which in turn has helped us keep a closer tab on such operations.

Khan during his interrogation had told the IB that there are several police stations which they are taken to before they can actually go about their work. There are ISI officials in these centres known as Questioning Centres who speak with people from India.

In the case of Khan he had gone to Pakistan to meet with his relatives. At one of these centres, the relatives were brought in to convince Khan to take up this assignment. However on refusing this he was taken to a chamber where he spoke directly to an ISI official who after one round of trying to convincing him resorted to threat tactics. Khan says that they do not get much of a choice when they reject the offer. Moreover the question of agreeing and then returning to India and not following orders also does not arise since they have our relatives under their control.

Upon convincing such persons the ISI does impart training on how information is supposed to be collected and also sent. They are then asked to buy a computer through which the information will need to be sent out. In addition to this they are also given sim cards and mobile phones to stay in touch. All this and of course a grand sum of money as a reward, the IB says.

This may look like a minor operation. However the ISI is aiming to achieve a major goal and that it is to have as many spies in India. Not only will they be used for day to day operations, but their utility could come into play during a major operation as well. This saves the ISI the trouble of personally sending someone in from Pakistan to carry out a recee when they can easily access information from existing persons. The IB says that as on today there could be easily around 5000 such persons across the country working for the ISI. This is an exercise that we would need to conduct along with the support of various other agencies. We are looking for the records of persons who have visited Pakistan and based on this information we are keeping tabs on such persons, the IB also added.

\A young researcher studying the problems of Maoists in Bihar has gone missing along with her facilitator from Jamui district.

Jamui superintendent of police Raj Narain Singh said 23-year-old Juhi was believed to have gone missing on her way to Jamui railway station along with her facilitator to catch a train for Bangalore yesterday.

Juhi, who hails from Bangalore and had returned to the city after completing her education in the USA, had gone to Maoist-affected Khaira block in the district a fortnight ago to conduct her research.

She had visited Garhi, Rupabel, Mahuliatand and Khaira, Singh said.

During her stay Juhi had come in contact with a local Pradip Kumar Das, who became her guide and facilitator.

Das took her on his bike to the Maoist-affected villages where she held meetings with activists of civic society, NGO workers and locals for purposes of her research, he said.

"We are trying to locate them," Singh said.

Maoist researcher in Bihar safe: Police

A young researcher on Maoists, who was believed to have gone missing along with her facilitator from Jamui district in Bihar, is safe, police said today. "Juhi (23) has been doing her research work on Maoists in Jamui district and is safe," Superintendent of Police Raj Narayan Singh said. Singh said the researcher had refused to disclose her wherabouts on the grounds that it would disturb her study. Earlier, Juhi had said she was fine and continuing with her study.

"I am fine and doing the research work... it is a false and misguided information that I am traceless," the 23-year-old researcher said over phone.

Asked about her whereabouts, Juhi said she was still in a village in Jamui district and would return once her research work was completed. Juhi, along with her facilitator, was believed to have gone missing on her way to Jamui railway station to catch a train for Bangalore yesterday. She had visited the Maoist-hit Khaira block in the district a fortnight ago to conduct her research. During her stay, Juhi had come in contact with a local Pradip Kumar Das who later became her guide and facilitator.
I feel this woman is built in the ARoy mould and someone who can become a PITA in the future. There is something sinister about her disappearance and quick reappearance.

Indian Naxalite Rebels Abduct U.S. University Teacher
2011-06-30 20:31:23
Xinhua Web Editor: Guo
India's extreme left-wing Naxalite rebels have abducted an Indian-origin U.S. university teacher and another local person in the eastern state of Bihar, said police on Thursday.

Juhi Tyagi of Stony Brook University in New York was abducted by suspected Naxalites while she was on a visit to the state's Jamui district in connection with her research on Naxal problems in India. Another local resident has also been abducted.

Both of them were missing for the last two days, the official said, adding that a massive operation has been launched to rescue the abducted persons.

Naxalites often abduct Indian government officials and trade them as hostages in exchange for the release of their jailed comrades. But, this is probably the first time they have abducted a university teacher, according to police.

From this link on the Stony Brook College site in the Socialogy department, Juhi Tyagi was a Third-year Cohort (Graduate Student) in the years (2008-2009). No idea what a Third-year Cohort is though.

Juhi Tyagi, a young research fellow at New York's Stony Brook University, who had been allegedly reported “missing” in Bihar's Nawada district since Monday, categorically dismissed suggestions of “abduction.”

Local sources said Ms. Tyagi, who hails from Bangalore, returned along with her aide and facilitator Pradip Kumar Das to Mahulia Tar village on Thursday afternoon.

Today. Its simply shocking how bad things are in Kerala.
Kerala, 20k crore is annual remittance through Hawala
Posted on July 1, 2011 by Vicky Nanjappa

The official figure so far as the annual remittance through hawala channels into Kerala is Rs 20000 crore. This figure which is available with the Union Home Ministry tells us the story of this state which has become a hub for extremists.

Today the focus of every possible national agency probing terrorism related cases is focused on Kerala and what one gets to understand is that the situation is going from bad to worse. The factors for such extremism are many. The communally charged up feelings in the state and also the fact that this state is almost a corridor between India and the Gulf.
The hawala remittance into this state is the highest when compared to any other state in India. There is a large population from Kerala which lives in the Gulf and remitting money back home had always been a big worry for these persons. They then started to adopt to the hawala module which helped them transfer large sums of money with ease. Now it is a known fact that terrorists have a big role to play in hawala transactions and hence taking advantage of the situation, they began pumping in their money too. The Kerala government was in the know of money being sent in through hawala channels, but what they did not bother to check was that terrorists too were pumping in money using the same channels and today the problem is immense that they are finding it difficult to clean up.
The National Investigating Agency which has its eyes on this state has also found that large sums of money which has been pumped in from the Gulf had been used to execute the blasts at Delhi, Bangalore and also at Ahmedabad.
The biggest worry for any terrorist group is the finances and with this in place, it became easy for these groups to go about the other jobs. The Indian Intelligence Bureau says that a couple of years back, Kerala was only a corridor to terror in the South. However today the problem is immense and it is without a doubt the main breeding centre for such extremist groups in the country.
Sources say that for the ISI it was easy to set up terror camps in this state. The political will was lacking and elections were far more important compared to national security. Due to politics smaller groups were allowed to grow and a main fighting plank during the elections became communal rioting. This helped such forces to grow and before anyone realised that they had set up base comfortably.

Is Kerala still God's Own Country?

While it was obvious that the nature of this state was changing gradually the first big information regarding the reach of the Kerala cadre was known only when a cell phone belonging to a person by the name Umar was traced. Umar was an operative of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba operating in Kashmir and investigations went on to show that he was from Kannur. Subsequently more news trickled in and it was found that three more persons from Kerala were killed in an encounter in Kashmir. This raised alarm bells among the security agencies who realised that it was probably for the first time that Indian cadres were used in the battle at Kashmir and ironically they were all picked up from Kerala. However of the men, Jabbar who was picked up the police for training stated that he thought they were being taken for training in Islam. I was taken aback when they told me my training would be with arms. In fact we were told if we did not take up arms then our families would be harmed.
According to IB reports, the ISI has set up strong modules of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba in the Gulf. The Oman module is also very strong and the fact is that these modules are directly connected to the modules in Kerala. In fact when the ISI started to set up Gulf modules, it initially had a lot of youth from Uttar Pradesh. However gradually the cadres from UP were being replaced with those from Kerala. These youth were in charge of sending across funds and also pulling out youth from Kerala and sending them for training again using the Gulf route. For the ISI, the Gulf module is one of the strongest today and what works against India is that the Gulf and the Kerala are directly connected. In fact it appears as though modules in the Gulf were formed keeping Kerala in mind.
Although the exact number of Lashkar modules in Kerala are not known, sources say that they could be anything between 50 to 100. The number of sleeper cells is almost double this number they also point out. Most of the cadres in these modules undertake a dual job. During the elections they become party workers and often create the necessary ruckus for politicians. This ensures that they get the immunity which helps them go underground and go about their real job.
In this context it would be pertinent to note the role played by T Nasir, an accused in the Bangalore blasts case. He had become the perfect link between the modules in Kerala and the ISI. He was a part of the Students Islamic Movement of India before it was banned. He then moved out of Kerala and worked in Muscat and Dubai before coming in contact with agents of the ISI. He was asked to recruit youth back in Kerala for terror operations which he did on his return to Kerala.
The likes of Nazir are trained in this job and they constantly keep a watch for youth who have issues abroad. They pick and chose youth with visa or job problems and offer help. While doing so they take them into their fold and convince them to take the extremist route. Once they manage to convince them they are either sent to Pakistan or Bangladesh for training.
Over the past one year there has been a slight change in the manner in which they have been operating. The trips to Pakistan or Bangladesh for the newer recruits are proving to be dangerous for these groups and hence they have decided to set up dedicated training camps in Kerala itself.
Recently the Kerala police seized compact discs and transcripts which had details on the Taliban styled military training. This was just a tip of the ice berg and further investigations led the police to find that there were many training camps in Kerala which followed the Taliban style of training. Such training in Kerala takes place in secluded areas of the state and it is clear that these youth who undergo such training are being prepared for bigger roles.
The expectation from the Kerala modules is that they build up a strong force which can carry out attacks in India. A thorough home bred outfit is what they are looking for following the fall of the Indian Mujahideen. In addition to this they are also expected to provide cadres for the battle in Kashmir and very shortly they would be asked to assist terror groups fighting in Pakistan and Afghanistan as well.
For the Indian agencies the primary worry is however the growth of the home bred extremist groups which they will need to scuttle as soon as possible. Prior to Kerala, the main modules were in Uttar Pradesh, but today Kerala is the clear choice. It takes every investigating agency a while to understand the pattern that is being followed in each state. They managed to overcome the problem in Uttar Pradesh and doing the same in Kerala will not be an issue provided there is political will.
The agencies from across the country also push the case regarding a state more aggressively in case of a terror strike. Kerala has not witnessed a major strike so far and this is a deliberate ploy as per security agencies. Carrying out a strike on a large scale only gathers a lot of attention and this would ensure a complete crackdown. Hence these groups feel that it would be better to go about their acticvities quietly and breed terror for the rest of India. Take the case of Hyderabad which was a major hub for such groups. Today it is relatively quiet due to the crack down by the police and this was largely because of the back to back terror strikes in the city.
The IB says that their investigations do not show one particular group gaining in this state. A lot of splinter groups and also cadres of the IM and the rest have all come together and are setting up their base in Kerala. Over the past year there has also been a lot of movement from UP as well. Kerala does not only provide a safe hiding ground, but also a route to escape into the Gulf once the heat is on.

Jayaram Padikkal IPS, much vilified for his role in the "Rajan case" of 1970s it seems had predicted this threat way back in 1990s when he was the DGP of the state police. His analysis was that Islamic terrorism and its subsidiary activity would be troubles which K.P would face in the coming years (then). The politicians of the state, and also the people who was blinded by socialism/communism are squarely to be blamed here.

How expensive is the Prez’s visit
How many men does it take to guard the President of India? As Ms Pratibha Patil’s five-day visit to Hyderabad shows, it takes over 800 policemen, food testing experts, snake charmers, patrolling teams, medical staff and sundry others. The historic Rashtrapati Nilayam at Bollarum has also been turned into a fortress.

The presidential convoy consist of 25 vehicles and three helicopters. Crores will be spent on the security, stay, travel and the other aspects of the President’s visit, between July 2 and July 6.
Nilayam has 11 rooms and a visitors’ quarter with a capacity for 150 people. It also has a glittering Darbar Hall where the presidents meet visitors during their stay, which is usually during the winter. A city police official said that around 800 policemen from various wings of the State police are providing outer security cover to the president, apart from the inner cover provided by the Intelligence Bureau and Delhi Police.
Two bulletproof cars, two escort vehicles and a pilot from the police transport organisation are a part of her convoy. Around 70 personnel of the City Security Wing, which includes bomb disposal squads, are also deployed. Four scientific officers test all food for any poisoning. APFSL director O.N. Murthy says, “Scientific officers test all food items before and after cooking and look for fungus, bitterness and poison. Security officers also taste it before it is served to the President.” Though Ms Patil has tried to check costs state officials have not taken any such measures.

India’s Muslims can prosper only if they join the national mainstream and abandon the mullah-dictated path that has led them to deprivation. The Sachar Committee’s ill-conceived recommendations will naturally gladden the hearts of the clergy, but they will do nothing for the welfare of the Muslim community. A case in point is the contentious issue of waqfs and their utility in the 21st century

Union Minister for Minority Affairs Salman Khurshid has taken a welcome lead in the national essential of enabling Muslims to join the country’s mainstream. In his report, Justice Rajinder Sachar has made several destructive recommendations, one of them being the creation of a waqf cadre on the lines of the IAS. For opposing this suggestion, Mr Khurshid has unfortunately been castigated by Mufti Mukkaram of Fatehpuri Masjid.

Whether the mufti issued a fatwa or otherwise, his contention reflected an extraordinarily reactionary attitude of some clerics. Evidently, he finds the thought of Muslims integrating themselves with the rest of Indian society unacceptable, presumably because that would dilute the control of the clergy over the community. To accuse Mr Khurshid of blasphemy for merely questioning the wisdom of Mr Sachar’s ill-conceived recommendation is to cross all boundaries of reasonableness.

This controversy takes me back to the winter of 2006 when Professor James Mayall of Oxford University had directed a seminar at India International Centre. One of the sessions was chaired by Mr Boothalingam, son of the illustrious ICS officer. A participant of the session was Mr Sachar. When questions were being answered, I asked Mr Sachar whether he had harboured a particulary soft corner in his heart for the Muslim community and whether the city of Lahore enjoyed his special affection. His answer to both the questions was, “Yes of course.” Which in turn led me to inquire as to why had he then come away from Lahore in 1947, never to go back. His forthright reply was that the Sachar family had no plans to leave Pakistan and, therefore, his father, Bhimsen Sachar, went to hear Mohammed Ali Jinnah address Pakistan’s Constituent Assembly on August 11, 1947. He had accompanied his father.

After attending the session, Mr Sachar expressed his deep desire to travel in an aeroplane, which he had not done before, to his father. Since there was no plane service then between Karachi and Lahore, father and sone flew to Delhi. The next day, they called on Jawaharlal Nehru who told them that they must not return to Lahore as it was burning and insisted on their staying back in Delhi. They had no choice but to obey him and thus they stayed back in India, said Mr Sachar. The narrative, however, convinced only a few and amused everyone.

This takes us to another function at India International Centre arranged for the release of a book by a former editor of Organiser, KR Malkani. In the course of the discussion that followed, several nationalists turned to former ICS officer Badruddin Tyabji and criticised what they described as Muslim pampering. The gentle Tyabji replied as to how he could answer such questions when the Government in India as well as its policies were framed and run by Hindu leaders.

No doubt, there are persons like Mr Abusaleh Shariff, Member Secretary of the Sachar Committee, who keep repeating that Muslims have been discriminated against in the context of education, employment, banking, urban living space, et al. Little does Mr Shariff recall that his community solidly voted in the 1945-46 election for the Muslim League whose single point programme was India’s partition.

When Rajendra Prasad wrote his book India Divided in reply to Jinnah’s Pakistan Resolution of March 1940, he had reminded the Quaid-e-Azam that his proposal would render the Muslims remaining in Hindustan as aliens and not citizens. The latter kept silent. Probably, he remembered what he had told the Cabinet Mission sent by the Atlee Government in 1946 — that the minorities in both the dominions would act as reciprocal hostages. Any ill-treatment of its minority by one dominion would be met with a tit-for-tat by the other dominion. Evidently, scholars like Mr Shariff and his empathisers have chosen to ignore history.

Scholars unaware of much history may not also be aware of the origin of the waqf as an institution and what followed over the centuries. The subject is dealt with in lucid detail by Professor Asaf AA Fyzee in his well known work, Outlines of Muhamaddan Law (OUP Delhi, 1999). The word waqf means ‘Dead Hand’. Prof Fyzee considers the institution to be a handicap for the natural growth and development of a healthy national economy. The charity implicit in waqf keeps people away from industry and lethargy breeds degeneration. Agricultural land deteriorates and its yield lessens. All in all, waqf is not an unmixed blessing for the Muslim community.

In 1830, waqfs were abolished in Algeria and Morocco while in 1924 Turkey nationalised waqfs and their assets were handed over to a Ministry. Egypt soon followed this example. Little wonder that Prof Fyzee regretted that the verdict of the Calcutta High Court, which was endorsed in 1894 by the Privy Council in London, was not allowed to prevail in India by an Act of 1913 which the British Parliament passed for the Indian Empire.

The Privy Council had endorsed the opinion that the waqf was a perpetuity of the worst and the most pernicious kind and was, therefore, invalid. The Oxford History of Islam (OUP New York 1999) has similarly criticised the institution; it is also an Islamic source of revenue at the cost of other communities. The book describes at length how the Ottomans had used waqfs for squeezing out Christianity from eastern Europe.

Mr Shariff could be correct in his belief that Muslims have been discriminated against. For example, on the one hand waqfs have been left alone whereas zamindars and jagirdars were deprived of their ancestral lands. The princes, who had been solemnly promised privy purses and paid for years, were all deprived by Mrs Indira Gandhi. Any number of industries largely owned by Hindus were nationalised: Coal, banking, general insurance, etc. Would Mr Shariff still like to pursue a separate IAS-like service for administering waqfs?

SC okays trial in Gujarat of 2008 serial blasts case
The Supreme Court on Wednesday paved the way for the trial of over 50 accused in the 2008 Gujarat serial bomb blasts which killed over 56 persons.

A bench of Justices Altamas Kabir and Cyriac Joseph rejected the plea of the accused that the trial in the Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled state could not be held in a free and fair manner owing to the surcharged communal atmosphere in the aftermath of the 2002 Godhra massacre.

The apex court said things have considerably "settled down" after the Godhra killings and hence the claim of the accused that the trial could not be held in a fair manner was mere apprehension.

It, however, granted liberty to the accused to move the court again if and when there were genuine apprehensions of the trial being held in a vitiated atmosphere.
Verdict is face saving but WTF does the bolded part? Who decides that the atmosphere has been vitiated, Rajmata?

Only in India do we have such farce of accused persons questioning governments capability etc and being actually egged on by national parties.. :-?

Ah, well...the easiest method for a eve-teaser to escape the cops. Just shout "Islam khatre mein hain". Even the CM might come running to offer condolences when that is done:

Police-villagers clash over 'desecration' of Quran
According to reports reaching the state headquarter, the clash, which escalated into an exchange of fire in Arahlatnagar Bagah village, followed alleged desecration of the Holy Quran by a team of cops during the course of investigation in a case of eve-teasing.

While a few persons were stated to be injured in the free-for-all that lasted nearly an hour, no death has been reported so far. According to the police, a raiding party, looking for a key accused in a case of eve-teasing, was attacked by a local resident whose son was allegedly involved in indecent behavior with some girls of the locality.

"When the police retaliated, the family members of the accused went around spreading a canard that some cop had snatched the Holy Quran from the hands of a young girl in the house and flung it away. As this information spread like wild fire, people took to the streets attacking the cops and burning down government property," the police said.

From http://www.telegraphindia.com/1110707/j ... 207694.jsp

we get the following...
New Delhi, July 6: An author whose book suggested the Mumbai attacks were a conspiracy of the RSS has been appointed adviser to HRD minister Kapil Sibal on minority education.

Aziz Burney got RSS Ka Shadyantra, 26/11? (RSS conspiracy, 26/11?) released by Digvijay Singh in December last year. At the launch, the Congress leader had claimed that Hemant Karkare, the ATS chief slain in 26/11, had called him a few hours before being killed and told him he had received threats for probing Hindu extremists and their terror links.

RSS cadres had filed a case against the author in a Mumbai court. Burney, also the editor of an Urdu newspaper, had tendered an apology in January but the RSS rejected it. Burney’s claim came despite investigating agencies blaming the strikes on the Lashkar-e-Toiba.

“Burney has been appointed adviser to the HRD minister last month. He has been appointed in view of his contributions to education of minorities. His tenure will be for a year,” a ministry official said.

Asked about his “contributions”, Burney conceded he did not have any.

“I do not have any contribution to minority education so far.
But I will attend meetings and give my suggestions on the issue.”

Trust the Sonia government to give legitimacy to a whole range of such scum !

Has any government historically in India ever had such a contemptible range of characters in formal governance / advisory roles?

Lessons from the successful integration of India's Mizos
On June 30, 1986, the Indian government signed an historic peace agreement with the Mizo National Front (MNF), bringing to an end one of the fiercest insurgencies in India's northeast.
...
Peace accords have been signed in other parts of the northeast too; most of them are in tatters, confirming that it is not an accord that brings peace but the process it is a part of. Mizoram got that process right.

Twenty-five years after the Mizo accord was signed, Mizoram is still the northeast's oasis of peace.

Grave threat to the COAS at S.Block from new terrorist threat ,read in full!

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldne ... doors.html

Monkeys break into hospital through new automatic doors
Monkeys are threatening to overrun India’s top hospital after learning how to operate the newly-installed automatic doors.
Meanwhile, powerful Indian policy-makers and their equally influential assistants walk warily down passageways in North and South Blocks that house amongst others the prime minister’s office and the defence and home ministries, for fear of being set upon by monkeys, concealed in niches of the imposing sandstone buildings.

Tough wire meshing also stretches across the windows of the Indian army chief’s office to protect the head of the world’s third largest and nuclear-armed military from monkeys.

The Delhi High court too has passed several orders
