ramana wrote:Can we have a BRF team download the full cache and analyse it for India specific issues?
Arun Gupta can you lead the effort?
For analysis we need a powerful search.
Was searching for a site which has hosted the full dump , well indexed and with an user friendly search thrown in (the actual wikileaks site is pretty useless for a powerful search)
...some thing similar to Look4leaks (this site is not updated yet and currently has only 14000 of 251,257 cables) .
So guys, are there any other links to a highly searchable cache of full wikileaks dump??
any pointers in this regard will be greatly appreciated.
Admiration for the Amir-khans keeps growing on seeing the meticulous way they have tracked and maintained complete info on each person of interest in Desh:
"Roemer added that India is likely to have around 160 to 180 million Muslims (about 15% of the population). "States with the highest Muslim population include: Jammu and Kashmir (67 percent), Assam (30.9 percent), Kerala (24.7 percent), West Bengal (25.2 percent) and Uttar Pradesh (18.5 percent). Uttar Pradesh (UP) has the most Muslims with a population of 30 million," he pointed out."
The crucial leak is that about MMS and Gen. M almost reaching an agreement on Kashmir. If some remember.Whether this was different from the almost reached deal between ABV and Gen.M. is a moot point.Did MMS offer to give away more than what ABV was willing to give so that he could win the N-prize yet again (Nuclear and Nobel)?!
MK Narayanan also does not cover himself with anything but dog poop here. the GOI is in damage control mode saying his talks with the US pro consul were expression his personal opinion and MKN saying India was not serious about extraditing Headley in obedience to american diktat was his personal opinion
No body is surprised that India didnt feel the need to extradiate Headley , since GOI has been giving contradicting remark on it and even access to Headley was to just make a point that we got to meet Headley then gain any thing from such meeting , All PR stunt onleee no wonder till date that cant get conviction for more then one person on 26/11 and most likely we would never go beyond that.
Few things as lessons learnt fro BRF:
(1) Quit saying anything and everything as some Conspiracy Theory. Period. I again say that the Mumbai blasts are actually orchestrated by the GOI led by Congress party.
(2) Quit arguing that UPA is actually for Indian people. It is simply by USA and for USA.
(3) Quit warning folks who call MMS with names. It is proven beyond any doubts he is a mole of USA planted on India.
The three postulates should be posted on every thread.

What is MKN's ******* B.Raman saying on this episode?
Easy with the language there Muppalla - JE Menon
All large incidents in India are with tacit approval of UPA, planned by US and executed by TSP'an footsoldiers and sundry culinary moles. There is no investigation into these incidents other than to ensure the perpetrators did their job well and what combustive mix they used in their job. This is for good record keeping. Their aim is to terrorize Indian public into submission. Look at the cabinet composition which is filled with US moles imposed on us, Chidambaram, Sibal, MMS (unelectable), Montek (non-Indian), S.M. Krishna, Deora,

That is why they are not working on splitting UP for now. Once the vote bank is solidly established in all regions, they will split the state.

All the newly split states are not with CON Party, if you have noticed.
That is why they are holding off. They need assured vote bank of 30+% in a given area. But the lalloos, Mulayams and Mayas proved that too much emphasis on one specific community would lead to local rebellion, and YSJ is proving that point one more time.
Yeah, to give them credit, at least they were worthy opponents, however misdirected, and it felt combating their views, but for sure I am not looking forward to clearing more FUD anymore.
In future any Indian would be out of his mind to think the US can be trusted to keep confidence of their interactions and counsel. The US will find a way to leak, release, unnamed source etc the interactions if they think they can get advantage.
There is no mention of underworld connection cables in the article. This shows how strong underworld is connected to media as well. No one talks about how they are connected with underworld -- not media, not police, not politicians, and definitely not film industry insiders.
I received a e-mail in which a list of Swiss bank holders from India are mentioned. Not able to cut & Paste. The Amount mentioned is in INR Crores. Don't know if it is reliable.
The bank Names and number of accounts are Also listed. Too lazy to type. I don't know how authentic this document is - particularly when the amount is mentioned in INR Crores (unless someone had converted it to INR for easy understanding)
some of your list matches what Tehelka had published. perhaps someone obtained the crores figure from the docs that tehelka didnt publish in open. a search on raj foundation seems to indicate its a EJ outfit operating in Andhra.
radia being a lobbyist who would earn nowhere near the sum mentioned, would have to be a front for various 'custodians' of political wealth if the above be true.
Mayawati sent jet to fetch sandals: WikiLeaks
CNN-IBN

New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati sent a jet to pick up a pair of sandals, according to leaked US diplomatic cables.
"When she needed new sandals, her private jet flew empty to Mumbai to retrieve her preferred brand," a cable said describing her "eccentricities, whims and insecurities".
US embassy cables from 2007 to 2009 released by the WikiLeaks website describe Mayawati as "a first-rate egomaniac" who "is obsessed with becoming prime minister".
The cable also quotes Lucknow journalists claiming that she employs nine cooks (two to cook, the others to watch over them) and two food tasters.
"She fears assassination and demanded from the central government the highest level of protection available. In addition to this outsized security apparatus, she constructed a private road from her residence to her office, which is cleaned immediately after her multiple vehicle convoy reaches its destination," said the cable.
Don Burton quoted, "According to (Omar) Abdullah, Islamabad has gone farther than Delhi in recent years in changing their stance, and it is now time for the Indian Prime Minister to start thinking 'outside the box'. He (Abdullah) proffered that each time there is a new proposal, the MEA is the first to 'shoot it down', demonstrating that the GOI is quite content with the status quo."
After the latest WikiLeaks cable exposed how the United States had threatened India when the nation objected to former President APJ Abdul Kalam's frisking in 2009, America still remains unrepentant.
US preferred Pranab Mukherjee over AK Antony as defence minister
The latest tranche of US embassy cables, made public by WikiLeaks, make it clear once again that Washington is desperate for New Delhi to import even more American weaponry as well as ink bilateral "foundational agreements" to strongly cement the strategic relationship.
An October 2008 cable, for instance, holds Mukherjee's involvement in the discussions on the EUM (end-use monitoring) pact "offers an opportunity to deal with a minister who has demonstrated the ability to conclude bilateral agreements without painstaking reviews (unlike Antony or the bureaucrats in both the defence and external affairs ministries)".
In January 2010, foreign secretary Nirupama Rao did assure US ambassador Tim Roemer that, with the communist parties no longer "constraining foreign policy", the "Indian government shared the US perspective and the only issue now was how to educate the naysayers" on the other foundational pacts.
Kya baat hai (what to say) -- perhaps now GoI can directly draw its pay from US, considering that they work for their agenda and report to them.
KATHMANDU: When Nepal's controversial king Gyanendra handed over power to a resurrected parliament on April 24, 2006 and faced the abolition of his throne, he might not have been entirely the thought of his subjects' well being that prompted the move.
Royalists say Gyanendra, who had seized power through a bloodless coup, stepped down because he wanted to avert bloodshed that would have occurred had the army been asked to take on the crowds demanding the restoration of democracy. The real reason could be that the Royal Nepalese Army (RNA) was running out of ammunition.
In February and March 2006, days before the 19-days peaceful protests that paralyzed the royal regime started, the RNA's arsenal had started dwindling alarmingly after its main arms suppliers, India, USA and UK, stopped providing arms the previous year to show their disapproval of the royal coup, according to the latest WikiLeaks revelations.
In February, then RNA master of ordnance Major General Prakash Bahadur Basnyat had informed the US embassy in Kathmandu, once the army's staunch supporter in its anti-Maoist terror campaign in Nepal, that the RNA had only 16,800 rounds of ammunition for its 16,000 M-16 guns. Also, for the 25,000 Insas firearms given by India at a 70% subsidy, it had only 130,000 rounds of ammunition left.

Chetak-ji; more "coalition dharma" of Manmohan's variety was it? Commies at least did not let us down, they were open about what they wanted. Since 62 they have been clear about "chiner chairman....", but how did Manmohan who was so clear on the new-clear deal for US that he gave the commies their backside on a platter (with some help from his friends of course) -- buckle here?
I think UPA has passed off too many sins (lack of reforms, a stupid economic policy) by freely blaming left (mostly undeserved) -- let us keep this one for them exclusively. What say you?

Sanku ji,
You called it right.
MMS has delayed / dodged many reforms even after the left vanished as a credible opposition. He has only himself to blame, being the great economist that he is.
Shameful, the list of prominent politicos, bureaucratic flunkeys and diplomutts, who pretend to have the nation's interests at heart but are ever-ready to do Uncle Sam's bidding.
As for "Mike's" (MKN) views being only that of his "personal viewpoint",by virtue of his position as NSA he had to represent the nation's/GOI's viewpointf first.Let us ever remember what that great Soviet For.Min and later pres.,Anatoly Gromyko once told the US ambassador to the USSR.The ambassador was effusive in his praise for Gromyko and for some of the Soviet's policies, saying that that was his personal opinion.Gromyko cut him short and reportedly retorted,"I don't care a damn about your personal opinions, what I am only interested in are the views of your country"! It is said that the Kissinger-Gromyko summits were legendary for the massive amount of research and preparatory work done by both sides as they respected each other immensely and did not want to be found wanting in intellectual and factual acumen and knowldge at the summits which they eagerly looked forward to.
Contrast this with the unique example of our very own legend,SMK,whose ignorance of affairs diplomatique must be setting a new Guinness record. What is most shocking is the duplicity shown by those who are supposed to represent the country, privately telling the US not to worry as "it is all posturing".What signal do these truths tell our mortal enemies Pak and China? That India is a loudly trumpeting elephant with feet of jelly and "Mahout" Mohan Singh will make the elephant perform any circus trick for the price of 30 pieces of silver?!
PS:Mahout Mubarak Singh is not a great economist but a great "Con-omist"!
