With the United States and Pakistan engaged in a war of words, China on Friday sprung to the defence of its 'all weather ally', asking Washington to respect Islamabad's sovereignty and territorial integrity while fighting its war on terror.
a spokesperson of the Chinese foreign ministry defended Pakistan, saying it has been "in the forefront of international efforts against terrorism".
Pakistan has made important sacrifices in global fight against terrorism. We hope relevant country will respect other countries sovereignty and territorial integrity," he said. He, however, said he was not aware of specific allegations of the US :rotfl: .
All ij well sovirginity is intact. Nothing to be seen here. Unkil has not touched anything. Got to give it to the chinese for their humor.

All this talk about business as usual after a few loud farts by retiring Admirals is probably coming to an end.

http://security.blogs.cnn.com/2011/09/2 ... ?hpt=hp_t2

1. The CIA drew up the plans last year when Petraeus was ISAF Commander
2. Panetta: " I don't think they would be surprised by what actions we might take or might not take". Note that it was under his leadership at the CIA that OBL was taken out in a risky raid, and now he Secy Defence.
3. All military options remain on the table in dealing with this threat
4. On another report, Petreaus (Now CIA Head) said that in the past Retired senior military personell were acting as go between the haqqanis and the ISI. The latest Kabul Embassy attack had the "Active Senior ISI Officers" involved and the US has learned through undisclosed means.
5. China starts yapping about Paki sovirginity

I think it will take just one more attack within a 2 week window and it might go beyond the use of drones. The video above says the drones have not been successful in slowing down the haqqanis, and all other options are on the table.

maili kucheli aurats causing dengue
Wrath of God
Sir,

Tens of people have been killed by the Dengue fever and several thousand are suffering. At a time when the sane among us are thinking of ways to ensure it does not become an epidemic, our TV channels are not interested in talking to experts on ways to counter the onslaught of this dangerous disease. Instead, they have been giving air time to clerics who insist that Dengue is the wrath of God that has come on us because we do not follow Islam and instead copy the west. The clerics specifically refer to female pop stars, dance parties, and saying hello or hi instead of Salaam. :rotfl:

My first reaction was, if the claims made by these clerics are true, then why is there no Dengue in the West?

Also, there have been a number of news reports about how religious minorities are being discriminated against during the distribution of aid among the victims of floods and rains in Sindh. If these natural disasters are the wrath of God, then our treatment of the minorities is definitely going to bring us more of this.

Nadeem Afzal,

Karachi.

purelanders making pureland more pure by killing kufrs
Faisalabad failure
Sir,

After a hate campaign against the Ahmadiyya Community in Faisalabad that included threatening letters, pamphlets inciting violence, and incidents of harassment, an Ahmadi was killed by unidentified gunmen earlier this month.

He was sleeping in his house when four men broke in, shot him dead, and fled.

There had been reports in more than one major newspapers that terrorists were planning to target the Ahmadiyya Community. Terrorists had even published and distributed lists of prominent Ahmadi traders who they had said should be killed. Those who wrote and published such materials had their names and contact information printed on them. But no measures were taken. Earlier, a large number of female Ahmadi students of Faisalabad's National Textile University dropped out because of discrimination and victimisation.

In more recent reports, locals have claimed Naeem Ahmad's killers were now asking around for the whereabouts of his brother.

The targeting of a peaceful minority community and incitement of religious and sectarian violence when Pakistan is already facing so many problems should not be tolerated. Stern measures should be taken to ensure this problem is resolved before it gets too late.

Lahore.

Murder of uncircumcised saint
Reported in Jang after a pretending saint (jaali pir) in Qasur was murdered by a female follower of his, it was discovered that far from being a holy man, he was not even circumcised which was taken to mean that he was not a Muslim. After the community protested, the fake saint was not buried in the Muslim graveyard.

Quaid-e-Azam killed by America!
Close friend of Imran Khan, Yusuf Salahuddin told Jinnah that whoever in Pakistan opposed America was caused by America to be killed by the establishment. The Quaid-e-Azam himself was assassinated. He said the big anti-American lobby was focused on Imran Khan. He said all the prostitutes of Heera Mandi had relocated to Defence Society. He said Pakistan should follow Mithaq-e-Madina.

Funeral leader of Taseer runs away
Reported in Jinnah the cleric who led the funeral prayer of Governor Punjab Salmaan Taseer was receiving threat calls for allegedly leading the prayer for a blaspheming person. The cleric Afzal Chishti had run away to the UK and sought political asylum there on the basis of an FIR registered in Lahore. The Governor was killed by his own security detail a case against whom is proceeding at a very slow pace while the lawyers' movement favours the killer.

Hina Rabbani Khar on CBS. Is that some minor US TV network in some tier 3 city? Khar is some random Paki bimbo. Surely she can't get prime airtime on any serious channel in the US that has much more important things to do than publicise the rambling of some Paki bimbo as something noteworthy? I mean I admit she looks OK, but is this some alternate "Playboy" like channel, this "CBS" to take this woman so seriously? The interviewer talks as if what she says is gravely important.

It's universal acceptance that someone in a higher post like Mr. Khar is good at his job , maybe the american govt officials know that he is just a front. But the media is welcome to make any assumptions it wants to with respect to Mr. Khar. The american govt definitely knows what sort of treatment to be given out to Mr. Khar as was shown by Hilary a week back.

IMO Pakistanis are the most pious in the world. They will never send a Pakistani woman to go and shake hands of all those foreign men. Who knows what they have been doing with their hands? Hain ji?

So it is more than clear, that the Pakistanis have sent a drag queen to win the hearts of the world! They always use transvestites for women roles!

Mr. Khar won the competition fair and square (actually all Pakistanis are fair). So deserves to be Pakistan's Foreign Minister. At least Pakistan is not losing its H&D by sending a woman! Tauba, Tauba!

Seems the atmosphere of the piss process has become a little overarching. These worms will have their umrah and jannat and here is a sample offering--

Source Dawn.com September 24 the 2011
weblink--http://www.dawn.com/2011/09/24/of-stole ... ories.html
Nazim 29 was tortured and killed in the State Police’s Special Operations Group (SOG) camp in Sopore.
Few weeks back, on an unusually humid day in the month of Ramazan, I was returning from Sopore after meeting the bereaved family of Nazim Rashid. Nazim, 28, was tortured and killed in the State Police’s Special Operations Group (SOG) camp in Sopore.

In between tears, his father had spoken of the hopes he had from his only son. Nazim never meant any harm for anyone, his father told me in his room, and he always wore a smile, always lending a helping hand to anyone in need. In Nazim, he said, they have lost everything. Everything, he repeated.

The politicians, the policemen, and the government officials, who later tried to ‘sympathise’ with the family, were sent back by the people of their neighborhood. People came out protesting in large numbers to welcome them with stones and anti-India and pro-freedom slogans till they ran away. While talking of the NC, PDP leaders and police and army officials, Nazmi’s father always addressed them, beginning with two words: yeam Hoen… (These dogs…)

One of Nazim’s cousin said a pro-India politician was somehow able to reach their home. He had cleverly visited their house at a time when everyone was praying inside the neighborhood mosque. To save himself from the public ire, the politician immediately went in prostrate position inside their garden. He pretended to pray, hoping it will earn him some respect among mourners assembled in the house. When the boys from the locality got a whiff of his presence, he had to run for his life half way through his prayers. Some boys from the locality later told the family that the said politician had in fact started praying without ablution.

We were heading back to Srinagar in a speeding tata sumo vehicle. On the Srinagar Baramulla highway, I and a photographer who was accompanying me sat in silence inside the vehicle. Our silence was filled with sadness. As the vehicle drove away, it was difficult not to think of Nazm’s old father left behind in immense grief. “aze taen kemes dutukh insaaf., mae kya den…(which family has got justice till now, what can I expect from them..),” Nazim’s father had lamented.

The driver made an abrupt halt near an army camp. An army convoy was about to drive out of the camp and become a long, uninterrupted line of convoy on the highway. After a few army trucks drove out of the camp, without waiting for the rest of the army vehicles to come out, our young and adventurous driver suddenly accelerated ahead of them. He broke an unwritten rule of army convoy: they drive uninterrupted, first, and ahead of all other civilian vehicles on the road. When the driver went past the convoy, a passenger kept aside an Urdu newspaper he was reading till then, and said: “peate heakhekh che yeathe peath neereth broanth namtes manz (You couldn’t even think of driving past the army convoy like this in the 90s).”

“Meaklae tem doh… (those days are over),” the driver shot back with a smile, and drove on.

After driving a few more kilometers, he had to again apply brakes. This time a few army trucks, and one army gypsy, had made a halt near a picturesque stretch of apple orchards on the either side of the highway. Some of the troops were pissing near the apple trees. Some troops stepped out of the army trucks, and gleefully jumped over the fencing, and freely walked into one of the apple orchard. The apples had ripened. The orchard was in full bloom. Bunches of red apples, like red dots on the trees, could be spotted from the highway.

An Indian paramilitary soldier patrols during a strike in Srinagar, India, Saturday, April 9, 2011. – AP Photo
Few troops positioned themselves outside the wire fencing of the orchard; some went in to pluck ripe fruits from the trees as if the orchard belonged to them. They didn’t ask for permission from anyone. As the troops entered the orchard, other troops gave them cover, positioning their guns on the highway. Some kept a vigil from the top of their army trucks. Their officer, without saying a word, remained seated inside his gypsy. He watched his soldiers pluck away fresh apples.

The entire exercise was carried out like a military operation. Some troops were trying to pocket some apples stolen by their fellow soldiers inside the orchard. As they grabbed apples, trying to pluck as many as they could lay their hands on, some apples fell off from the trees. They didn’t pick them up. Someone inside the orchard – may be the orchard caretaker – stood frozen at the sight of the troops stealing the apples. He had a look on his face as if he expected them to seek his permission. The fact that his presence inside the orchard was not even acknowledged by the invading troops made him look offended. Nearby a cow chewed on a heap of apples put in front of her.

The troops inside the orchard gleefully tossed apples to other troops on guard. Some apples fell out of their hands. The troops, who had positioned themselves outside the fencing, struggled to contain all the stolen apples in their hands and pockets. Apples kept falling out of their pockets; they kept plucking and pocketing more apples.

Everyone on the road watched the scene with suppressed anger, bitterness and disgust. People in civilian vehicles could only watch the troops take away the apples. Had the troops been without guns, and few in number, the smothering anger of people would have erupted into fistfights.

Some troops were also tossing apples to other troops waiting for their share in the army trucks. It was then a young boy, unable to contain himself for long, shouted out in Kashmiri from a halted public bus: “alai, chioet chuer..!(Hey, apple stealers!), he mocked at the troops. The troops, unable to comprehend his shout, ignored it. They went on to bite a few more apples. They took away the rest and stored them in their vehicles.

It was a terrible sight. It hurt to see them raid the orchard and steal apples and not be able to do anything about it. The smile on their faces as they stole apples, and the helplessness of the people watching it all, was unforgettable.

You remember these things forever. You carry these memories everywhere you go. They remain embedded in your consciousness. And you don’t ever forget. Like, for example, you don’t forget the first time you were slapped and shocked out of your childhood innocence by an Indian trooper who asked for your identity card on the roadside; or the first time you were abused by an Indian trooper during a search operation when you didn’t properly answer all his questions; or the first time you were dragged out of home during a predawn crackdown and made to sit in biting cold in an open field. All these memories stay with you. They cumulate over years, often returning on odd, even happy occasions.

I remember in my childhood days how the troops would jump out of army trucks on a roadside, spread out near the apple trees, and then piss beneath the trees. Something about this act was unforgettable. It kept playing on mind, like an image that refuses to fade.

Body wounds heal with time, the wounds inflicted on memories don’t. They fester. You can not reconcile with the humiliating existence under occupation. It is a source of great unhappiness, this occupation of our lives, like a permanent loss of something vital. You’re aware of it, always. And it hangs heavy on your mind.

To forget these memories, and turn your back on them, means to forget who you are and the place you belong to. Remembrance then, in the face of such memories, is resistance. It’s painful, but necessary.

The troops drove away in their trucks after stealing apples, unquestioned, like on many other occasions in the past, like in many greater excesses involving human lives in Kashmir. The troops atop the army vehicles could be seen relishing the stolen apples. As the trucks drove away and disappeared into the distance, they blew threatening whistles to keep away the civilian vehicles from their path. The orchard caretaker, like many other people that day, could only watch them leave. Afterwards, he slowly stepped forward to assess the damage.

The photographer who was travelling with me forgot his fast in anger. That day, like never before, he abused (in Kashmiri) the Indian troops and their generals and all those who represent Indian occupation in Kashmir.

One day these stolen apples will haunt them, he said aloud.

I had never heard an abusive word from him. He was always polite, and calm. That day he lost his cool. He couldn’t take their pictures. Choicest abuses poured out of his mouth like a sincere prayer. Other passengers in the vehicle joined in to send out their respective curses. It went on till we reached Srinagar.

As ulema have said let Hina never be accused of Zina
http://www.islamqa.com/en/ref/76052
What is the ruling on one who is intimate with women but does not commit zina, i.e. kissing etc?.

Praise be to Allaah.

Zina (adultery, fornication) does not refer only to penetration, rather there is the zina of the hand, which is touching that which is forbidden, and the zina of the eyes, which is looking at that which is forbidden, even though zina that is committed with the private parts, is the zina which is punishable with the hadd punishment.

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah has decreed for every son of Adam his share of zina, which he will inevitably commit. The zina of the eyes is looking, the zina of the tongue is speaking, one may wish and desire, and the private parts confirm that or deny it.”

Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5889; Muslim, 2657.
This was aptly summed up in a Kafir movie that said it just right..

The US is propping up Kiyani with this tamasha:- Make a lot of noise, let Kiyani "stand up" to it and regain some credibility lost with the OBL raid (and continue supplying arms - see below).
They said General Kayani, who was under great pressure from his troops after the humiliation of the Bin Laden raid, had recovered some ground and recouped some prestige.

Simple Piskology.

Towards US, TSP TFTA ruling elite have an intense awe and respect and want to be treated as peers as Lords of the region. When US does not reciprocate, it turns to bitter disappointment, profuse jealousy, and intense anger.

Towards India, it is utter disdain and contempt and rabid hatred and sense of supreme TFTA superiority complex over SDREs in every walk of life from size of manhood to religious faith. And when they see TFTA dream not realized and getting shattered by the day before their eyes, but India an impending "super power", that disdain of India morphs from hatred into a genocidal desire to obliterate India even if it means suicide for them.

With US, they are capable of at most brinkmanship, with India, they are capable of "winning".

Impotent editorial from NYT. But for some humor, here is a comment by some Paki

The biggest enemy in war in Afghanistan isn't the Taliban but Pakistani and U.S. media. These two great nations, if combined can rule over the whole world, however if separated, they both are more than capable of bringing each other to their knees.

You are probably right, but surely there is a better way than TSP brinkmanship and US accusations. You mean US allowed Kiyani to atack their embassy, kill the Navy seals who took at OBL etc, all to restore Kiyani's H&D post OBL? You make US look so impotent that even DocJi's narative stands out as an invincible super power.

Why did the Senate Committee vote to give Pakistan $1 billion in arms **after** Mullen's testimony? It makes the Prime Minister MMS seem like a jingoistic frothing-at-the-mouth nationalist in comparison. At least MMS gives a few months between an attack by Pakistan, and the statements about trying to normalize ties with Pakistan. The US Senate gave it a day or two. And the US Senate is doing something substantial, while with MMS it is only words. (A billion dollars is very substantial when the US Congress is stuck over and threatening a government shutdown over how to provide a like sum to the Federal Emergency Management Agency, after a summer of natural disasters.)

If the US could take meaningful tough action, it would. If that makes it seem impotent to you, and makes it seem as weak as or weaker than India, that is a perception problem; reality is what it is and is staring at us in the face.

I know how this works - because it is unacceptable that the US seem impotent, this all will be interpreted as the US strategic necessity to keep India down as far more important than Pakistan trying to kill the US Ambassador and sundry soldiers, and so the "strong" US continues to prop up Pakistan - the white man's and TFTA's conspiracy against SDREs.

The problem with accepting that Pakistan is a very difficult problem, even beyond the SuperPower is that a lot of the writings on BRF about Pakistan stand revealed as so much hot air. Much nicer to keep fulminating about the pusillanimous political leadership in India. Therefore it won't be accepted. People need some method for time-pass.

Apples and oranges. With India it is fury that a 'subject' people are not staying in its place. With US it is the rage of a spoiled son who thinks his father is being strict after a lifetime of pampering.

I couldnt have put it so succintly even if I tried. So the numerous +1s! Thank you, Mr. Gupta.

(I am not well versed in applying the "quote" button better. Therefore the +1s within the quote.)

The Khan has invaded countries, sanctioned countries or 'regime changed' countries for much less. With such "conclusive evidence", if they are still forced to send more money ( Iam sure the tax-payer's billions can be put to better use in a broke economy!) to the Pakis and not bomb them out of existence, the Pakis surely must have something that has the Khan by his short and curlies.

We have delusions of grandeur if we think that they are taking all these hits only to keep India down!

The "Khan" is a toothless tiger. Period. Khan has been a Lungri always..the "bad ass" mask just fell off. And the Tabaqui (Pakis = Ta'Paki') is running circles around him!
[Refer to "Jungle Book" for the context]

You sound like Amitabh Bachhan in Lakshay, very authoriatively, making it sound bold and courageous: "LOC nahi cross kar naa hai" (pardon my Hindi), sacrifice your own troops and get a pat on the back by "interntional community". Some victory that, and TSP smarting after "loosing" ratcheted up pigLeT attacks.

Stalemate. Although I agree its advantage India because TSP is desparate to get India off the strategic heights. And also to salvage some H&D.

Indeed a victory for India.

Coming from an IIT topper like you, this is pitiful analysis. For a quick 101 tutorial on (TSP & US) Vs (TSP & India), please read my previous post.

Indeed, TSP poses a difficult problem. But the difficuty it poses for US is different from the difficulty it poses for For India. For US, it is TSP brinkmanship demanding that US deliver India in return for TSP cooperation. For US, this is not a bad value proposition instead of having to assemble a costly war machine to take on TSP directly, and as a collateral side effect, disturb the geo-strategic India TSP balance that has served it well for so long. And yes, US does not need smarty SDREs like you challenging their authroity in Asia and beyond. Hence the ambivalence in forging an alliance with India and solving the TSP problem once for all. But make nomistake about, TSP is not about to pick a fight with US beyond a certail level of brinkmanship. Thats the difficulty US faces

In contrast, India faces an existential threat from TSP, and hence MMS & his dhotiwallahs shivering at the thought of taking on Kiyani & Co. Better to take on Baba Ramdev & Co at Lal Maidan, victory is assured. Easier still to take on "saffron terror" which MMSJi and PCJi have done to perfection.

Finally, just speculating, but reading between the lines of Kiyani's "its unfortunate and not based on facts" and Hina baby's "don't humiliate TSP publicly" remarks post Mullen tough talk, I speculate that TSP did a desparate gubo and begged forgiveness from US in private. Hence the climb down from US side.

After the kandahar Hijacking and subsequent response I ackthood the then NDA govt for lack of testicles. I have been ackthooing UPA since day one.
But Senate commitee deserves the biggest ackthoo i can give.

when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth

It may be possible that after many numerous computer simulations and research by Pentagon or some unheard off agency in US, to determine which country would be economically and politically more powerful enough to supersede US in the next century, India would have been the answer.
India did survive for more than 5 centuries, It may well survive for another 5.
Only in that scenario can I explain current US actions.
