Of those arrested for smashing the Amar jawan memorials there were two and their pictures are known. So which are the people who were arrested?

Can imagine why we have such "secular" journalism when we have journos like this. I actually used to read most of this $%#^@ articles since he was a higher education beat reporter. Guess he got his higher education from our western neighbour:

Accused operated from a small house
They were allegedly given instructions by journalist Muthi-Ur Rahman Siddiqui to spread jihad in the region, the neighbours said.
Siddiqui, it is said, was the secretary of the Students’ Islamic Organisation four years ago.
Subsequently, he shifted to Bangalore where he allegedly came in contact with the banned Bangladesh-based HUJI and recruited operatives for the terrorist outfit.

Sources said Siddiqui allegedly met other terror suspects in the City regularly and conspired to kill political leaders. They were in Bangalore on August 5 and had used a certain Imran’s computer to send hate SMSes and posted inciting video clippings online to spread rumours that North-Eastern people would be attacked.
Dont know about the great optimism about how the particular minority group will turn the corner etc in BRF bt as things are panning out, we seem to be headed for a deep, deep abyss given that it is pretty clear that one particular community( going by the huge number of educated folks from that community turning up in terror and spying acts) is only heading in the reverse direction instead of integrating further with the nation and this can only spell trouble.

Is there any example in any country of the world where this particular minority community has integrated peacefully with the nation and reconciled itself to being ruled by the majority community? The problem is with the ideology itself, not with the people -- turn the same people into Buddhists and the problem will be solved.

Suspects lived close to Jagadish Shettar’s house
Zafar Shoolapur, a terror accused arrested by the Bangalore police in Hubli lived just a stone’s throwaway from Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar’s residence at Badami Nagar in the City all these years.

Zafar, a doctor, and son of a senior officer with the Forest department in Udupi district, had been staying with his parents at house number 27/A, the fourth house from chief minister’s residence for years. Sources in the Police department said Zafar has two brothers - one, a software engineer and another, a doctor in Bangalore. He has a sister, who is also a doctor. According to a neighbour who wished to be unnamed, the family maintained a distance from people.

Even after the news of arrest of Zafar spread like wild fire and mediapersons started gathering, there was hardly any police personnel in the area till afternoon.
“We do not know much about the arrest. We came to know about it only through the newspapers,” said a police constable.

Shocked by the arrest of four terror accused in their backyard, the residents were wondering about the failure of Intelligence people to identify a major security threat near the house of the chief minister.

People of Hubli-Dharwad feel that the twin cities are not safe any more. It may be mentioned here the Anti-Terrorist Cell sleuths from Bangalore had arrested 10 persons- Asadulla Abubakkar, Hafeez Husain, Mohammed Sami Bagevadi, Mohd Yasin, Mohammed Asif, Nadeem Sayeed, Dr Asadulla H A, Nashir Ahmed, Shakeel Ahammed and Dr Mirza Ahamed Baig-- from Hubli and Davangere in 2008 on charges of involving in anti-national activities.

Imran alias Ubedulla, arrested on charges of anti-national activities on Wednesday from Vasanthnagar in Hubli studied Diploma in Tool and Dye Making at NTTF in Dharwad from 2004-05. After completing his course, Ubedulla got a job in Bangalore and later he moved to Dubai, his classmates said.

“He is a good orator and used to say a lot about himself. He used to bunk classes and pick fights with friends occasionally,” they said.

Another arrested, Vaheed Hussain Kanakannavar, is an MBA graduate. Ubedulla Bahadduri is an electrical engineer, Sadiq Lashkari worked as demolisher and Mehaboob Saifuddin, as a mason.

There is an eerie silence in the residences of the terror accused in the City. The parents of the youth were at a loss of words when the mediapersons visited their houses on Thursday.

“A six-member team came to our house on Wednesday and took Vaheed into their custody saying that they have to inquire him,” said Vaheed’s father, Abdul Munaf, a retired railway employee.

Munaf said Vaheed had availed a loan of Rs 2.9 lakh to pursue his MBA degree and was a bit depressed as the bank had issued notice for recovery of the money. “We had promised him that we would repay the loan by selling our house in Gadag,” he said.

They all are next to BD but do not have the illegal BD problem
Nagaland has an illegal BD problem and so does Mizoram to a much lesser extent. Meghalaya, the police are strict.

But now the various Naga tribes are going to do something about it .

Interestingly, Nagas don't have any real problem with Biharis, Bengalis ( from WB) and Marwaris anymore.

The politics of the NE has changed. Most of these guys ( i.e the indigenous ones) now have links with the rest of India.

See how it unfolds.

on the Assam-Nagaland state border, the ZUF is becoming the most prominent group.

I don't think there is a legal provision which allows indefinite detention in India, especially without a trial. If I get it right chances for bail if the police/investigation agency does not submit a charge sheet within 90 days is really high.

The only case which I found interesting in this regard is that of Shri Abdul Nasser Mahdani. Shri Madani native of Karunagapalli, Kerala was charged of taking part in the Coimbatore blasts in the 1990s. He was arrested and spent 9 years as a under-trial prisoner in Coimbatore Central prison. Bail pleas of his was repeatedly thrown out, and new charges were also added up time after time (after the police/investigatio finds new evidence). After 9 years he was let off.

Nearly two years back he was once again arrested by the Karnataka Police for being part of conspiracy in the Bangalore blasts. The drama put up by Shri Madani and the ruling commie government of Kerala was shown live on the TV. Shri Madani is now formally charge sheeted and is now put as an under-trial in Central Prison, Parappana Agrahara, Bengaluru. The case is now moving on, and I guess the courts have framed a formal charge sheet. Bail pleas have been rejected in this case as well.

Hmm.. now let us wait for the new spin on alienation & victimisation. Yes there are all educated, but they now feel they are alienated and victimised . Now that can be a reason for further rioting, and terrorist acts. At some point of time the common man would really ask, "When would all this stop? What is the actual demands of these folks?. In fact in social media like facebook many folks have started asking such questions.

next 30 years can be burried in paper work delay. At most the judge can pass strictures on the police administration thats about it. The police can say BIC ( Balls I care)

Sachin Saar,

What will be interesting is this. When a brother is with the horde, he is a aggressive animal waiting to pounce on anything that represents GoI - police vehicles, attacking constables etc.
But after being caught, when is alone in the police station, how do you think he will behave, especially now in Mumbai. Does he get "good treatment" or is he handled properly?

The problem with the brother is that he is stupif/ has no education. Runs with the mob and does some stupid thing in the name of his religion. Then lands in jail and will shit in his pants not knowing what to do. The Muslim leaders from the local mosques to which he was affiliated to - do you think those folks will take the pains to bail him out. How many will the instigating lot bail out? 2? 10? 20?. Me thinks none. That is left to his family. They would have to run to the courts to get things sorted. As it is, having 5+ kids will leave them with nothing. To top it, angry brother fighting for injustice to his religion will add an additional burden to his family. Courts, cases, bail etc - all that costs money. When he eventualy comes out of all this, he has no skills , can do nothing. What does he do? Blames GoI for not doing enough for minorities. And who leads them to get more for free from GoI? The same local leader who instigated them! They deserve the cycle of destitution and poverty .

news from Mumbai - Don turned Politician Arun Gawli awarded life term for the murder of a Shiv Sena Corporator by a special MCOCA court.
Special MCOCA court judge Prithviraj Chavan also imposed a fine of Rs. 17 lakh on Gawli, failing which he will have to undergo an additional three-year imprisonment.

Ten others were also awarded life imprisonment in the case while accused Sunil Ghate was convicted only under Arms Act and has been sent to three years’ rigorous imprisonment.

The court also sent Gawli to ten-year imprisonment each for being a member of the organised crime syndicate and extortion.

“After 2007 BMC elections, when Shiv Sena was not in majority it was our Akhil Bharatiya Sena, who gave them support of four corporators (to attain majority). At that time each of our corporators commanded very high monetary value (for providing support) and there was no reason for me to kill Jamsandekar for Rs. 30 lakh,” Gawli argued.

Blore arrests- How a new assasination module was developing?
Posted on August 31, 2012

The plotting station? (Pic-daiji world.com)

The arrest of the 11 youth from Karnataka is just a tip of the ice berg of something big that was in store. Although the police have been associating the name of the Harkat-ul-Jihadi Islami with these youth, the investigations so far would go on to show that this was an independent group which had a single point agenda and that was to protect Islam and eliminate all those who appeared to be a threat to the religion.

While the news regarding the Journalist and the Scientist made it to all the headlines, the more important person in this network was a person by the name Akram who goes by the alias Yusuf. If one looks at the background of this man, the HuJI link does surface since he was said to be a close associate of Shahid Bilal, the HuJI commander from Hyderabad who was killed a year after the Hyderabad twin blasts.

Akram whose information was passed on by the Andhra Pradesh intelligence wing is considered to be the leader of this gang and his job according to investigators was to marshal the youth who believed strongly that the religion was under threat. Akram had links with Shahid Bilal since the year 2004 and they had met a couple of times in Saudi Arabia.

While the Bangalore police claimed that the plot was to eliminate journalists and politicians in Karnataka, the bigger news is that there have been several calls found on Akram’s phone which gives the indication that it was a nation wide operation. During the investigation it was revealed that he was upset with the manner in which some persons were depicting the religion. He wanted to target those persons who had shown Prophet Mohammad in poor light and there was also an incident which upset him a great deal and that was the wrong depiction of the Kaba stone.

Akram according to the intelligence received funding from the underworld and he had decided to set up forces in every state and target those tarnishing their religion. They worked in a closed network while identifying like minded persons who felt strongly about such issues. Even the hard disks that have been seized by the police have a lot of material regarding atrocities against Muslims and some of the youth who have been arrested spoke very often to colleagues about how the community and religion were always under threat.

While Akram sought to carry out the executions with the help of the underworld, some of the youth who were working in high profile positions were tasked with the job of providing data. While the data regarding some politicians and journalists were provided, the final plan of assassination was not drawn up as yet. They were zeroing down on the targets and were to decide as to who had to be eliminated.

Akram will now be quizzed by the central agencies in order to find out whether he has set up similar groups in other states as well. We have managed to bust the Karnataka module, but his call records are indicative that there were more such operations that were being planned in other parts of the country as well.

Sources say that this groups cannot be directly linked to any terrorist group and were working individually. They had a handler in Saudi Arabia with whom they used to liaison with and also seek funds as and when it was required. The police say that they have been getting funds especially from the underworld apart from arms and ammunition to carry out their operation. While looking at the pistols that were seized they were of very high quality and was not picked up from a local market. However the only ammunition that has been found on them so far are the pistols thus giving a clear indication they were only about assassinations.

This group had it not been nipped so early could have grown stronger. They were in the process of setting up more such groups and identifying targets. They worked independent of terrorist groups since they felt that there would be no heat on them. Moreover many of them especially Akram believed that some wrong which was happening to the religion in the aftermath of the investigations into the terror cases were the handiwork of some politicians and also journalists. They felt that by carrying out a series of assassinations in various parts of the country, they could create a fear which in turn would prompt many to be more careful while speaking about their religion.

However this group was careful to chose their targets and have not included any police official in their list. They have only picked a handful of journalists who they believe were anti Islam and also a couple of politicians who have been speaking their mind off against their community.

This is just the beginning of the investigation and there is more to find out. We believe that similar persons have been identified in the Northern states as well. We are keeping a close watch of the kind of information that is being leaked out to such persons and are also ascertaining the content that many have stored in their computers and also the exact reasons behind it, sources in the investigating agency also pointed out.

Considering the strong links that Akram had with Bilal and the fact that they are from Hyderabad it has also increased the interest of the Andhra Pradesh police to find out if a similar group was functioning in their state as well. It is a relatively tough operation says an officer since there are many unassuming persons who are part of this plot. Investigations are on and we are scrutinising those who could be part of it, an AP police official informed.

Meanwhile, usual suspects start crawling out of the dark corners:

Families shocked over allegations
he Association for People’s Civil Rights(APCR), a City-based organisation, on Thursday said it was contemplating legal action on what it alleged was illegal detention of the five suspects. “Since Tuesday morning, there was no response from the police on the whereabouts of the five. We knocked on the doors of the local police station, the Commissioner’s office and the CCB.

None of them admitted to have arrested them. But 36 hours later, they convene a press briefing to declare they have taken custody of the accused,” said Irshad Ahmed Desai associated with the APCR.
And How in $%#^@ name do we have a "Sonia Gandhi Nagar" in Hubli?? Seems poetic that the terror scum seem to resided in that area.

It's really interesting to hear about the DRDO research scientist being recruited by an Islamic hit squad. The supposedly "nationalistic" and "educated" Muslim cannot insulate himself from the true Islam. I wonder how Mrs. Ghose will justify the assassination of her journalistic "comrades" at the hands of other cells. Perhaps highlighting how "right wing" journalism alienates Muslims and destroys the secular fabric of the country. So while unfortunate...it's justified...woops I mean not surprising.

Multiple arrested punks have pointed to local clerics/imams/mullahs who have incited and brainwashed them all over the country, starting from Badaruddin Ajmal, MP, in Assam to the a'holes in Mumbai. That these people are not being arrested should be highlighted to underline the pampering that the peaceful receive in India. At what point do these instigators become arrestable? They are more guilty than the perpetrators.

Meanwhile, we have pseudoseculars shouting that Islam is in danger because Hindoos do not allow them to eliminate kaffirs by Sharia which is the birthright of every Muslim.

What choice a law abiding IM has? I posted in these lines as back as 2009.

Imagine a scenario where an agent approaches the educated and law abiding IM for recruitment
- If the IM citizen approaches the police/intelligence agencies he will not be taken seriously. Even if he is taken seriously then he will be harassed for proofs etc., The process may go on for decades without any immediate action on the ground.
- In the meantime the IM is tagged as a m-traitor and will be treated accordingly in his community
- After all said and done, he too believes in the glory of his faith. So what if his agent was right and they win? Who is to stop the glory of his faith?
- At the bottom of his faith he is obligated to propagate his faith fruits in his afterlife and piety in this life.
- What will he say to Allah when he faces him after death? That he thought propagation of his faith, by whichever means necessary, and supporting ummah was wrong and he stood for right vs wrong? Isn't it blasphemous?

Same applies to our Christian educated liberal secular constitutionalists who thought it was against their faith to sing Vande Mataram and thought their foreign controlled colonizer church is anointed to guide them.

In the late 90's a Ghazi classmate of mine after some drinks late night in a loose talk mentioned to me that his local imam/mullah were asking young Ghazis to go for Yindoo Wimmens and/or have atleast 7 kids to overrun the Kaffirs. At that point of time we laughed at it...

The Ghazi did went on to marry a Yindoo Wimmen have a little Ghazi and then the wimmens mysteriously dies ...The Ghazi then goes on to marry another Ayesha within 6 months...

Many Yindoos really are underestimating the brainwashing that goes on Fridays

^^^^ These people really have a fetish for having 7 children. In my company, one Ghazi I know of has exactly seven kids. There are others I know of. They don't stop till they have 7 from a single woman. I don't know how they arrived at this formula, but they believe that is the magic number that allows them to outbreed the kaffirs. Also, they are actively trying to have affairs with Hindu women or are lusting after them. This also I see in my office.

That is how we can avoid Direct Action Day 2.0. The last Direct Action Day was with an Islamic population ~40%. The effects of 15% Muslims can be seen already. Include the birathers in the neighboring countries willing to cross border and you will see that number go up.

The lower populated regions of NE are already facing this problem. Population does keep things in control especially when the Muslims are not in majority. It is no surprise that the world's 3 largest economies are also the world's most populated.

Defence, nuclear units were on Karnataka terror radar
NEW DELHI: Vital Army, Navy and nuclear installations in south India were on the terror radar of the suspects arrested in Bangalore and Hubli for allegedly plotting to target MPs, MLAs and journalists in Karnataka. During interrogation, they apparently said Saudi Arabia-based handlers of these terrorists are Pakistanis and Indians.

"Most politicians who were in the hit list of these suspected terrorists belong to BJP, one of them a party Rajya Sabha MP," said an official.

Karnataka Police recovered photographs and sketches of South Indian defence installations from the suspects. DRDO claimed "no sensitive or classified information was compromised" after the busted terror plot revealed involvement of one of its scientists Aijaz Ahmed Mirza.

Police suspect there must be some connection between these recovered photographs and sketches and Mirza, who might have been in touch with others in defence establishments over the months.

Though the police did not find any details relating to nuclear establishments during the raids in Bangalore and Hubli, three of the 11 terrorists - linked to Pakistan-based outfits Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Harkat-ul-Jihad-Al-Islami (HuJI) - admitted during interrogation that they were also asked to do surveillance of these installations by their handlers in Saudi Arabia. Central agency sources said two of the arrested suspects had also visited Tehran before going to Pakistan.

It is learnt that the inputs about these two modules, operating out of Hubli and Bangalore, had come from Andhra Pradesh during technical surveillance on some of the 'remnant' groups of the slain HuJI terrorist Shahid Bilal.

Although Bilal, who had set up network in Hyderabad and other cities in Andhra Pradesh before fleeing to Pakistan, was reportedly shot dead in Karachi, some people belong to the modules created by him are active in many southern states. "Arrest of some more persons of these modules cannot be ruled out at this juncture", said the official.

These details emerged even as DRDO on Friday said that Mirza had been placed as Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for the past few months at the Centre for Air Borne Systems (CABS), a DRDO laboratory, after a thorough background check. "Verification of his antecedents including by police was conducted in the process of Mirza's placement on the temporary position of JRF," the DRDO said in a statement.
