The lies of Shinde nailed.

True lies of Sushil Kumar Shinde

By S Gurumurthy

24th January 2013 07:04 AM

“The RSS and the BJP were behind the Samjhauta Express, Mecca Masjid and Malegaon blasts,” declared Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde on January 20, 2012, adding that the training camps run by the RSS and BJP were promoting ‘Hindu terrorism’. A day after Shinde’s declaration, Hafiz Saeed, leader of the LeT, the Pakistan-based Islamist terrorist outfit, called for a ban on the RSS. So Shinde is the witness for the LeT to accuse the RSS of terror. Now look at the evidence, first the blast onboard the Samjhauta Express from Pakistan in which 68 persons were killed.

LeT Culprit, say UN, US

“Qasmani Arif...chief coordinator of the relations of the [LeT] with other organisations...has worked with Lashkar-e-Tayyiba to facilitate terrorist attacks including...the bombing of February 2007 in the Samjhauta Express in Panipat (India).” This is what resolution [No 1267] of the Committee on Sanctions of the United Nations Security Council [UNSC] dated 29.6.2009 declares. Adding that Qasmani was funded by Dawood Ibrahim and he did the fundraising for the LeT and the al-Qaida, the UNSC said, “In exchange for their support, al-Qaida provided support staff for the February 2007 bombing of the Samjhauta Express in Panipat.” This resolution is available on the UN site. Two days later, on July 1, 2009, the United States Treasury Department said in its press release: “Arif Qasmani has worked with the LeT to facilitate terrorist attacks, including...Samjota Express bombing.” The US named four Pakistanis, including Arif Qasmani as terrorists, under Executive Order No 13224. This press release is still on the US Treasury site. The United Nations Security Council and the US Treasury Department thus named the LeT, Qasmani and Dawood Ibrahim as accused in Samjhauta terror. This is just the beginning of the torrent of evidence pointing to the LeT and Pakistan.

Pakistan Minister’s Confession

Six months after the UN and US announced sanctions against the LeT and Qasmani, Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Mallik himself admitted that Pakistani terrorists were involved in the Samjhauta blast, but with a rider that “some Pakistan-based Islamists had been hired by Lt Col Purohit to carry out the Samjhauta Express attack.” [India Today Online 24.1.2010]

Headley Involved in Samjhauta -- US Probe

Not just the UN. Or the US Treasury. Or just the admission of Pakistan’s Interior Minister. Independent investigation in the US revealed more. Some 10 months later, Sebastian Rotella, a US journalist, wrote in his investigative report titled ‘U.S. agencies were forewarned about suspect in 2008 Mumbai bombings’, that Faiza Outalha, the third wife of David Coleman Headley had confessed [in 2008, which was made public in 2010] that Headley was involved in the Samjhauta blast. Rotella added that Faiza felt that “she had been innocently used” in the Samjhauta terror. [The Washington Post 5.11.2010] A while later, in a follow up investigation, Sebastian Rotella disclosed in April 2008 that Faiza returned to the embassy in Islamabad with the tip about the 2008 Mumbai blast when she again linked him to the Samjhauta blast.

Rotella commented that though India and the US blamed the attack on Lashkar, the US authorities had not implicated Headley in that still-unsolved attack, however.[The Washington Post 14.11.2010] So, independent, neutral probe in the US also pointed to Pakistan and the LeT in Samjhauta blast.

Narco Test Pointed to SIMI Role

Even at the start of the Samjhauta investigation in 2007, the evidence clearly pointed to the role of the Students Islamic Movement of India [SIMI] and the LeT. India Today [19.9.2008] in its report titled ‘Pak hand in Mumbai train blasts, Samjhauta Express blasts, says Nagori’ gave meticulous account of the involvement of the LeT and Pakistan in the Samjhauta terror. The report was based on narco test testimonies of SIMI leaders. India Today said that the narcotic tests were carried out on general secretary of SIMI, Safdar Nagori; his brother Kamruddin Nagori and Amil Parvez in Bangalore in April 2007, three months after the Samjhauta blast; the results of the narco test of the SIMI leaders were available with the magazine; it revealed that SIMI activists had executed the Samjhauta blast, with the help of the Pakistani nationals from across the border; while Nagori was not directly involved, two members of SIMI, Ehtesham Siddiqui and Nasir, were directly involved; SIMI members, including Nagori’s brother Kamaruddin, were involved in the Samjhatua blast; for executing the Samjhauta blast, the Pakistanis had purchased the suitcase cover from Kataria Market in Indore and one of the members from SIMI had helped the Pakistanis to get the suitcase cover stitched. Investigation had established that in the Samjhauta blast, five bombs packed in suitcases and activated by timer switches were used.

Conspiracy by Maharashtra Police?

Why were these clinching pieces of evidence not pursued? How the blame shifted from the Islamists to the Hindus? Some elements in the Maharashtra Police appears to have colluded in linking the 2008 Malegaon blast to the Samjhauta blast. When leads were thus pointing to Pakistan and SIMI as partners in the Samjhauta blast in November 2008, as an anti-climax, the Maharashtra Anti-Terror Squad [ATS] shockingly told the Special Court through the public prosecutor that Col Purohit allegedly involved in the Malegaon blast in which RDX was used, had supplied RDX for the Samjhauta blast though one ‘Bhagwan’. [The Indian Express 15.11.2008] Within the next 48 hours, [17.11.2009] India Today online refuted the ATS claim saying that Samjhauta investigators had told India Today that a study of the blast by the National Security Guard(NSG) said that no RDX, but Potassium Chlorate and Sulphur, had been used as explosives. The magazine also recalled that immediately after the blasts, then Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil told the media that not RDX, but, a ‘new type of explosive’ had been used to bomb the Samjhauta Express. On that very day [17.11.2009] the ATS counsel retracted the statement he had made earlier involving Col Purohit in the Samjhauta blast. [The Hindu dt19.11.2008]. But the damage was done in the 48 hours. Immediately, Pakistan said that it would raise the issue of Purohit’s involvement in Samjhauta at the Secretary-level meeting on November 25, 2008. Finally on January 20, 2009, the Maharashtra ATS officially denied that Col Purohit had supplied RDX for Samjhauta. This was how the Samjhauta focus -- later the blame -- shifted from the LeT and the SIMI to Purohit and via Purohit on to Saffron. The Maharashtra ATS’ attempt to link Malegaon 2008 to Samjhauta, which shifted the focus away from the LeT on to Purohit, needs to be probed particularly given Dawood Ibrahim’s deep influence on Maharashtra Police.

If Shinde is telling the truth, then the United Nations Security Council and the US Treasury Department are fabricating charges against Qasmani, Dawood and the LeT; Faiza Outallah and The Washington Post are telling lies to fix the LeT and Pakistan; the SIMI officials’ narco evidence is fabricated; and Rehman Mallik’s confession about Pakistani involvement is false. Can it be more ridiculous? It is clearly the lies of Shinde, the vote bank politician versus all neutral evidence. If this was how the Samjhauta probe was perverted, in the Malegaon 2006 blast the Maharashtra ATS has filed a chargesheet where the SIMI cadre had confessed to their role in the blast. But the CBI is procuring confessions to exonerate them and implicate others, Hindus in the case. So Malegaon 2006, is becoming a case of confession vs confession! In Malegaon 2008 blasts, Col Purohit and his associates have been charged and the evidence submitted in the Court shows that the accused in the Malegaon 2008 case were planning to assassinate RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and Indresh Kumar for taking money from the ISI! [Outlook 19.7.2010] How could the RSS which is the target of the conspirator itself be the conspirator? Does Shinde know what he is talking?

QED: Shinde now has a good companion in his mission against the RSS in Hafeez Saeed, boss of the global terror outfit LeT. Can a Home Minister tell more deadly lies against his own country’s interests, all for just a few million votes?

Now we know why the RAW mission to bring Faiza Outalha from Morocco, was aborted by highest authority. It was because she would have put the saffron terror canard to rest.

That is absolute BS, he has no personal Angst. He has taken official INC line, nothing to to with his Quote" CASTE" Unquote.

Mani Shankar Aiyar, Diggi Raja, Sanjay Nirupam, Salman Khurshid and other INC big wigs have all supported him.

It is to protect Pakis, pure and simple. Lets not go barking up the wrong tree.

Defamation Case Filed against HM
A defamation case has been filed against Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde in a Delhi Court for his remarks linking BJP and RSS to Hindu terrorism.

The petition, filed by a Delhi resident V P Kumar through his counsel Monika Arora, said that the Home Minister had "wilfully" made the "derogatory" remarks to cause ill will and hatred among communities.

"The complaint has been filed before the Metropolitan Magistrate Amitabh Rawat, who has fixed the matter for further consideration on January 28," Arora said.

Kumar in his petition alleged that Shinde's remarks weer aimes at polarising minority votes for the 2014 general elections.
"The impugned statement is not only defamatory in its natural meaning but also contains the imputation and insinuation that Hindu religion is involved in anti-national and terrorist activities," the petition said adding the minister "has used the words saffron as synonyms of terrorism, which is totally absurd, wrong, mischievous and defamatory".

Addressing the AICC meeting at Jaipur on Sunday, Shinde had said, "...We have got an investigation report that be it RSS or BJP, their training camps are promoting Hindu terrorism. We are keeping a strict vigil on all this".

So what is emerging from the various evidence,Headley's wife's confession, etc.,is that there is a deliberate attempt to suppress the truth. The aim is obvious-to tar the "saffron" parties as being India's equivalent to the LET,HUJ,whatever ungodly species of terrorists active in Pak who are i=engaged in cross-border terrorism.

This conspiracy therefore has to involve all parties to the game. The two players, the respective govts. of India and Pak,and the referee,Uncle Sam! The like-minded capitalist cronies in India and Pak want to loot and scoot their national treasuries and sell-off the family silver to the western robber barons. To allow this to happen, they must be "preserved in power"."Small" irritants like terrorism must be swept under the carpet or an "equivalent" found,to equalize such anti-social behaviour. Each side will get its prizes, for both on-stage and backstage actors, who enjoy being used as "track-2" agents who will be wined and dined and caressed into toeing the line.Hence the shindig after Shinde's myopic and asinine utterances, supported by an evergrowing cast of Congress flops and flunkeys

Philip, A tubelight moment.
The whole Hindu terror drama is maya to impresss the TSP establishemnt that its better to settle with the UPA dispensation otherwise the foaming mad Hindoos will takover and can forget any hope of a deal?

Also note that its in MMS interest to be seen as a fool, moron, and a soldout junior in INC. Each actor in this drama is playing to a script and says his/her lines.

Also about the Daoud Gilani etc., what does Abu Jundal say?
Afterall he is supposed to be #3 in LeT.

Shonu ji,

Never in 65 years, when INC ruled, it has come to this. There was corruption, there were over-sights, but not to this extent. This is new low, something very different, never was there a collusion like behaviour of any gov with TSP/US/GoI not caring about Indian interests. This not couple of notches that we can forget it brushing under the carpet. I think assuming that it is just couple of notches is the problem that we become thick skinned and tolerate this drama. It looks like the rot is systemic to the ruling party which is even spreading to other organs like media. This is not something we should think is couple of notches.

Before there were couple of bad ministers, now, all ministers are thick as thieves, covering each others a$$. Each parroting the same lie so it might stick. Never in the past majority have been blamed for terrorism, now we are equal to what TSP does. Did it happen before? now this tag is going to stick because the GoI has acknowledged that we have Hindu terrorists, taken right out their musharaffs.

venug ji, agree with you a 100%. I am at a loss as to how we can deal with it though, voting seems to be the only solution but i have this fear that come 2014 the subsidies will kick in, there'll be booze on the house, free stuff.. and we have UPA-3. I hope people don't forget this time. India's survival depends on it. Otherwise we will be nothing more than another "terrorist" country, whats worse, its self proclaimed.

...and Shinde's rantings and wild accusations against the "saffron" crowd are deliberate, meant to polarise the nation pre-elections and scare the sh*t out of the Muslim votebank, esp. in the northern states. This is something that the BJP should be seized of and allay the fears of the minorities. It should concentrate upon focussing the issues at hand, rampant corruption,an insecure nation, both within and without, desecration of women and appeasement of Pakistan.A drive should be made to rope in as many veterans of the armed forces to the cause,as millions of fauji families exist with their valuable votes.

The IT poll showing that the UPA/Cong is heading for defeat, also acknowledged by N.Ram on telly, shows that the Cong. and dynasty is desperate, and is using melodrama-Bollywood style,"power is poison,my mother wept tears"...,(I wonder who the scriptwriter was?),thrusting forward the clown prince as the great Congress hope. The photo of the digs on the dias at the crowning of the prince, with a sullen glum-faced "snake-oil" Singh staring straight ahead not looking at the prince, probably realising that his innings is about to close. It shows that he has been dumped post 2014 by the party,as his snake-oil sales have dramatically dropped, borne out by the polls.Stupid man.He should've grasped the president's topi when it was available. Now Pranabda will laugh at him when he is thrown into the garbage bin!

Running upto the 2014 elections, I wouldnt rule out any of the following from the CDTD - Congress Dirty Tricks Department:

a) Joint ISI-Congress organized terror attacks. It could be low grade. It can be used to artificially implicate Hindus, thereby lending credence to Shinde's remark. These joint ISI-Congress projects could take the form of actively working together on planning/execution (or) one party providing men/material and the other just looks away (or) deliberately overlooking IB terror warnings etc.

b) Some "landmark evidence" against Col. Purohit, Sadhvi Pragya etc will suddenly surface

c) Communal attacks to polarize the votes further. This could either be the usual, easily excitable Islamists initiating the violence, which is the norm. It could also be Congress sleeper cells within BJP, MNS etc "turning active" and instigating or retaliating

Shinde has revealed the cards. Congress believes that the demographics and Hindu disunity are in its favor to such a great extent that they believe "more polarization, the better". They will go to any extent, including sleeping with the enemy, to retain power. All the masks are falling away now & we can see the beast for what it really is.

On a different note, why is Census 2010-2011 results not yet released? It was due to be released in 2012

Looks like its back to square one as someone commented
http://www.hindustantimes.com/News-Feed ... 02385.aspx
The signs of business along the Line of Control (LoC) between the two sides of Jammu and Kashmir have started re-appearing, and the cross-border trade and travel would likely be resumed from Monday, said an official source on Sunday.

According to an civil administration official, the tensions have eased and the routine trade and travel between the two sides - India and Pakistan - would likely be resumed from Monday.

This dramatic turnaround came after the Indian and Pakistani armies exchanged sweets along the LoC on Saturday as a mark of goodwill gesture on the occasion of India's 64th Republic Day.

The cross-LoC trade and travel, which was described as one of the biggest confidence building measures, was suspended (by paki pigs)after the January 8 brutal killing of two Indian soldiers by the Pakistani troops.

Another pressure point could be that with John Kerry becoming Secretary of State and US in a rush to get out with some of its image intact, he could put pressure on Indians to give concessions, and Deputy Viceroy Manmohan Singh, Local Manager of Phoren Sarkars, who is more than willing to throw anything and everything to the Pakis, that they ask for, before he leaves the stage, makes the next one year very dangerous.

So, if it is true, is it then fair to assume that the quid-pro-quo that Zardari requested was that the Indian Foreign Minister must be pinned down in a prime time interview ? Karan Thapar seems to have proeeded to do so. In that entire interview, there were only on two occasions that Karan Thapar felt it was a despicable act by the Pakistanis but otherwise went hammer and tongs at India. Those who saw the interview on CNN-IBN would know.

Sure, India never reacted. That is well known. Yet, India needed a face-saving exit and that was probably arranged through Karan Thapar. Ms. Birkin Babe, who was on the rampage on this issue in Washington with the personification of arrogance, toned down her rhetoric. It was announced that the DGMOs have agreed to cool down etc. The Indian PM announced with all the authority at his command, after 10 days of turmoil, that it was 'not business as usual'. TSP which was demanding UNMOGIP investigation fell silent on that and announced it was willing for a dialogue. Then, our MEA, Kurshid saheb announced with a flourish that there was no need for a dialogue. All was well, the Indian shame, yet again, was buried and 'business was as usual' once again.

Karan Thapar was perhaps needed to orchestrate this drama between the two sides. Eunuchs (with due apologies to them).

I think it was DC who told Babe and her friends to STFU, but certainly Thapar could have been the one to re-iterate the message to say 'GoI wants to call it a day' on the incidents in the LoC.

In a hopefully future retort, SRK to Saeed: "Come to India if you feel secure".

Wouldn't their telephone call be monitored?

Anyone done a wiki on Karan Thapar? Karan Thapar is the youngest child of Late General Pran Nath Thapar and Mrs. Bimla Thapar. General Pran Nath Thapar (May 23, 1906 – June 23, 1975) was the fifth Chief of Army Staff of the Indian army.

Well, He might not have been responsible but...
He was head of Indian army during the Sino-Indian War, and resigned in disgrace from India's loss.
