^^ 400% secular thing to do..

The only people who were being fired upon were poor innocent folk who were out there to buy vegetables or just were dragged into that spot by communal policemen from inside their houses. Incedentally, they also happened to belong to a certain community.

Thank god that a constable didnt try to fire at the Azad Maidan rioter desecrating the Amar jawan memorial else his clip would have been shown and secular would have hounded him till he was hanged.

Meanwhile, the slow creep ofShariah all over seems unabated with complete silence from the usual suspects:
Rushdie banned from Kolkata: Preemptive strike most foul
Rushdie was not scheduled to have an event. He was not on the agenda of the Kolkata Literary Meet opening today in the city. The Midnight’s Children team of Deepa Mehta and Rahul Bose were.

But according to The Telegraph , police officials and “a senior minister” called the Kolkata Book Fair to ask if Rushdie was holding any programmes at the fair. And then the lit meet organizers were asked asked to give a written assurance that Rushdie would not show up at the literary meet. All this happened even without any particular group protesting his visit to Kolkata.

In short, it was a preemptive strike most foul.

Kamal Hassan wants to leave the country? Ha Ha Ha. Rushdie could not come to India because of security concerns. Ashsis Nandy was crucified. The PSEc crowd is getting kicked out of the country by other PSec crows.

WOW! Imagine this! The sickular and PRESSTITUTES cheer anti-national, Paki, ISI, LeT, JuD, NAC, CON MAFIA crowds blaming yindoos and RSS for 26/11 and every terrorist incidence. The sickular crowd is getting picked one by one. They don't even know that they will be eaten alive by the same PAKI crowd and CON MAFIA one by one.

BlackSwan scenario of what happened to native Lebanese in their own country ....

The Patriots need to get ready to fight. The sad truth is the Dhimmified Indians don't even know who their enemy is. The 24x7 campaign of Upper caste vs OBC vs SC, Hindu vs Muslim by sickular and PRESSTITUTES to aid the ITALIAN MAFIA made Indians brain dead. Will they wake up in time?

Earlier in the day, Kamal Haasan said he is ready to cut a few scenes from his movie 'Vishwaroopam'.

"My Muslim family has reached out to me. They came and told me which portions they want removed, they told me the scenes they wanted cut and the words of Quran they wanted removed. They told me which are the scenes that would offend and could be removed," said the actor, who was flanked by Congress leader J M Haroon, lyricist Vairamuthu, and several film personalities.
An emotional Kamal Haasan said that he is thinking of leaving Tamil Nadu for some other secular state in India as the problems over his movie Vishwaroopam's release continued.

"I will look at all the states from Kashmir to Kerala excluding Tamil Nadu. If I don't find one which is secular, I will leave for another country. M F Hussain had to leave, now Haasan will have to," said the actor, whose movie's release was stopped by TN state government authorities last week after a few Muslim groups protested. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
He still does not get it.

Very interesting. One way to weaken Nehruvian Secularism is not by getting mad at Secularism term and disown it, thereby losing support of millions of ignorant but well-meaning 'liberal' Indians, but by coopting the concept of secularism itself. I had started a blog earlier on "Secularism under attack" with posts on excesses by Leftists, Muslims and missionaries. Instead of despising secularism, we need to own this concept. Secularism is under threat whenever a temple is touched, Baba Ramdev is jailed, Minority schools don't let in Hindus, ruling political leadership does not proportionate Muslim-Hindu-Christian representation or jehadis riot. We should make the current seculars hate to be called seculars!

I had said "Secularism is Christianity without the Church"

Psecularism is "Islam without the Mullahs"

How so you ask?

In the psec world the one more psec(the media chatteratti and the communal ones) will get to beatup the less psec(Kamal hasan) just as in Islam the more green will poach on the less green and both will poach on the saffron.

Incidentally what does the Chindu have to say on this abuse of fundamental rights of Kamalhasan?

It is painfully funny (ironically) that there is a "purification" drive among the psec crowd now to see who is a purer psec than the other. Its like a bunch of retards with guns shooting at each other to prove whose aim is good. At the end no one is left unhurt or alive.

Petrol bombs thrown at theatres meant to screen Vishwaroopam
Reported by J Sam Daniel Stalin, Edited by Surabhi Malik | Updated: January 30, 2013 17:34 IST

Chennai: Petrol bombs were hurled this afternoon at two cinemas in Tamil Nadu which were scheduled to screen Vishwaroopam, the controversial film starring Kamal Haasan. Nobody was hurt; glass windows were shattered at the theatres located in the Ramanathapuram district, 600 kms from the state capital of Chennai.

A two-week ban on the 95-crore movie ordered by the government was lifted last night by a judge of the Madras High Court who had watched the movie. The government has appealed against his verdict and the High Court is scheduled to hear the case today.

At a press conference today, Kamal Haasan, who is 58, refuted allegations that in Vishwaroopam, Muslim characters play into negative stereotypes, the reason cited by the government for blocking the film. The superstar threatened to move away from India, declaring that if it does not prove itself as a secular state, he will have to find a home outside the country. However, he reassured his fans, "I will always remain a Tamil and an Indian" and said he would never stop writing or making Tamil films.

The thoughts of psec crowd is muddled as they appear on TV. J Akhtar and others (Raj Babbar etc) counted the movies which had to face resistance (like Bombay) and they were getting drifted away to Hindu terror etc not realising that the current turmoil is due to mullah terror in TN. Lies are blurred and p sec people are confused, where does NDTV and Co stand in the whole drama?

Also why H Saeed is not offering immunity to Kamal Hassa like SRK, after all Islam doesn't differentiate between big and lesser big super star.

once again the fierce apologists of JLN who promise "deadly violence" if anyone questions their pet theologies (i.e. ideologies), are nowhere to be found. total, deafening silence.

Does this ban stop the DTH (Direct to Home) option as well? Because Kamal Hassan had earlier planned to have a parallel DTH release as well. At that time it was theatre owners who were upset. I was just wondering if Direct to Home option can be tried out. The Jehadi elements would then have a much bigger target to threaten. They cant go and bomb every home (and TV).

This Vishwaroopam episode has thrown up many interesting things, some peculiar to Tamil Nadu and some to our country as a whole.

What is clearly disturbing is that there is a growing militant Islam taking deep root in TN. This has been so for nearly two decades now. Myself and others have posted on this thread about the rise of this monster. An innocuous sounding TMMK (Tamilnadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam or Tamilnadu Muslim Development Party), calling itself a social organization for Muslims, is the biggest threat to TN and most of its leadership is from SIMI and this organization is the major force behind the opposition to this movie. Its political wing is the Manithaneya Makkal Katchi (or People's Party for Humanity) which is in alliance with the ruling AIADMK. Traditionally, the Muslim votes have gone to the DMK which has always described Ms. JJ as a Brahmin fanatic who has unfortunately hijacked a Dravidian party and a BJP-supporter against Muslim interests. Therefore AIADMK is more than lending an ear to its Muslim alliance partner for it does not want to offend it especially when it wants to contest all Parliament seats alone in the 2014 elections and win all of them. This is the fatal weakness of all politicians in India (and possibly all over the world). They somehow feel that pandering to such forces can get them tactical benefits and they can later keep them under control. The surest thing is that they would quickly go out of control as history has countless times shown.

Muthuvel 'Kalaignar' (or 'Artiste') Karunanidhi, as also all other politicians, are actually caught in a nutcracker here. They cannot openly 'condemn' the Muslims for holding everyone else to ransom here because they fear losing their support. Muthuvel Karunanidhi, especially so, because he has always claimed that he used to hold in one of his hands the green flag and support Jinnah when he was young, He, a rationalist, attends without failure all Muslim festivals and partakes porridge. At the same time, he has to now support Vishwaroopam because the stoppage of its screening is by his mortal enemy, Puratchi Thalaivi (Revolutionary Leader) Ms. J. Jayalalitha (or Ammaiyar as he always refers to her). He along with all politicians (opposed to AIADMK) are cleverly depicting this as a shadow boxing by Ms. JJ with Ulaga Nayagan (Universal Hero) Kamal Hasan. In TN, these prefixes are extremely important and hilarious too to neutral observers. There could be some truth in that too. I have no idea; but, clearly the violent Muslim organizations oppose the picture tooth and nail. Let there be no doubt about that.

Kamal Hassan claims himself to be a rationalist and a sympathizer of Periyar and Dravidar Kazhgam (The Union of Dravidians) which normally spew venom against only the Hindus and keeps quiet about other religions. KH has also behaved in the past in exactly the same manner. When Hindu organizations objected on similar occasions, they were nipped in the bud by the state machinery and KH himself never bothered to 'hold talks', as he does now repeatedly with Islamist organizations, with them. Now, he has gone to the extent of even removing certain scenes and dialogues from Vishwaroopam. So much for his secularism. His threat to leave TN and seek a secular State in India or a secular country outside like MF Hussain is utterly childish and immature. Did MF Hussain find a secular Qatar and Dubai ?

Congress leaders, naturally opposed to Ms. JJ, have argued for 'freedom of expression by artistes'. But, the very same INC has banned so many films and books on countless occasions earlier. They have absolutely no shame in preaching today. The Communists are keeping quiet.

The phrase, 'freedom of expression for artistes' is again being bandied about as though the Constitution has given them an exception from the laws that apply to all other citizens. Why should 'artistes' alone have this right is a question that nobody asks or answers. Are they exempt from other provisions of law as well ?

TN is one peculiar state where politics and cinema are indistinguishably mixed up. There is a significant mix up of these in the Vishwaroopam issue.

CT alert -- this is a deliberate move by JJ to kill two birds with one stone,
1) Out the Jihadi's in TN
2) Cut into the Kamal Hasan p-sec variety.

IMVHO she did this, very successfully with the Kundakulam agitation as well. Led the followers of religion of love up a garden path and then turned around. Now church is considered anti tech, anti nuke, anti progress and of course anti - Modernity (to great discomfort of self appointed mullahs of modernity)

Hopefully this has the polarizing influence in her favor along with the social engineering that she hopes for.

There were a few minor galattas but it petered out. In some areas the police did the honours, and then across the state of Kerala there are only a few pockets where the faithfool can try real terrorism. But in major cities and towns these folks just dont have the means to start a large scale procession (and then riot). The supporters of these folks also would find it tough to convince that all these rioting are purely "secular".

I must also add that the DYFI folks have said they would "protect" (why and how??) Vishwaroopam.

^ you are trying to reason somebody out of a position that they did not reason themselves in.

There is really no grounds for any opposition in this...and it would have been treated as such if there was no implicit threat of violence - borne out by the violent incidents in a few theaters yesterday.

One reason could be that if the Jehadi elements start rioting their "secular facade" would just get pulled off. The perception that Jehadis are gaining foothold in Kerala is slowly increasing. With the case of Mallu Jehadis meeting their 72 in Kashmir, the chopping of a professor's hands and numerous cases of "moral policing" people have started to think about all this a bit more openly. As it is the regular "secular brigade" is finding it tough to answer many questions. And so no political party can be seen overtly supporting the ridiculous demands of the religious fanatics. The commies too are caught in the same dilemma. If they go and support the faithfool, they are also losing a chance to play an "equal-equal" game later. So perhaps the whole idea of these religious hate mongers would be to lie low. If I am not mistaken this movie is in Tamil, so naturally protests would be more in TN.

it seems to me - the thing that sticks into the TMMK types is the plot that goes like Mullah Omar or somebody visiting Coimbatore and Madurai??

And there were jihadi attacks in coimbatore that killed dozens. one guy was saying that this is the plot link that denigrates them. apparently the attack itself is ok..just the depiction is denigrating.

Yesterday on CNN-IBN, the TMMK guy was arguing that the only contention they had was the scene where a terrorist shouts AoA and then throws a bomb!! :-?

Secular stalwart, Javed Akhtar, for once was in "non-secular" mode and started tearing into the TMMK guy asking if sch a thing never happened all over the world these days and why TMMK didn't raise their voice when such things happened!

That is true. My super sekooolar dad was pretty shaken up by what the faithfools have been doing in Kerala. A lot of areas that traditionally belonged to yindoos are being encroached by benami faithfool buyers using a fake yindoo name. They then convert it into a business (or worse a cramped apartment) and start creating trouble for the neighbors after showing their "Sathya"roopam. This is a repeating theme. Infact I had never seen my dad open to a suggestion that Islam is dangerous. This time he lend me an ear. I dont know if it was because he was afraid to speak up or whether reality was sinking in. I believe it was more of the latter, plus he has absolutely no clue about Islam and its principles which is another dangerous thing that I am slowly trying to cure.

My friend who is a die hard kamal haasan fan went all the way to Bangalore to watch the movie. Rahul bose (Character name Omar) who plays the villain role says he has visited Coimbatore and Madurai in the film, nothing more about coimbatore or madurai. Additionally, there is nothing in the film which denigrates koran or islam.

He says the reason could be, they are indirectly mentioning "Osama Bin Laden" as "tall sheikh " and showing a character who resembles Osama. And subsequent dialogue which he says is something like "A muslim is blessed and fortunate to meet sheikh"

If you recollect there were funeral prayers and special prayers conducted for Osama in Tamil Nadu on May 2011. Put two and two together you would get a better picture.

People were speculating North Kerala, West Bengal, Hyderabad, UP are places where radicalization is rampant. But, stealth radicalization is happening in Tamil Nadu without anybody noticing it.

Warning: For Aakar Patel fans only.

The theme of the article is

1) How certain community cannot attack India, its vulgarity, its culture?

2) How certain community cannot love a peaceful neighboring country?

I waded half way through the puke. Aakar sahib has written some sensible articles once in a while. He seems to be a useful idiot for the Bakis.

He furthers the victimization narrative that Islam was born out of (Muhammed himself was victimized by the Quraysh until Allah came to his rescue).

What Aakar says might be true for a moderate patriotic muslim, but while Yindoos have a lot of "Sheep-Skin" Yindoos who go hammer and tongs against Hindooo terrorism, show me an instance where a lot of moderate Islamics in India who have done the same . There maybe a few moderate Islamics here and there in India, but not as many as the Hindus and even if there are some, they are not vocal. Hence the want by the majority observers to make them go the extra mile to control their own, just like us Yindoos. But secularism (according to Sashi Tharoor and co) means not to offend the faithfools, and hence one cannot speak of all this things without getting branded communal.

The lack of a large, visible moderate voice in Indian Islam makes it harder for everyone to believe ANY moderate Indian Islamic, and they would naturally feel victimized and the need to have to prove they are Indian (coz there are not many out there who make that noise). Aakar patel is now calling it victimization, and he is feeding right into the narrative of the Islamic extremist. Now they will do Jihad against anyone who wishes that moderate Islamics come out in support of real secularism.

Five years later, still no case!

http://www.niticentral.com/2013/02/five ... -case.html
Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, in jail for the past five years without any case of ‘Hindu terrorism’ being madeout against her, has refused to take medical treatment for cancer unless released on bail.
In a letter to the Registrar (Judicial), Mumbai High Court, on January 17, 2013, through the Superintendent Central Jail, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, where she is currently lodged in connection with another case, she said she has decided to live with all her diseases and would perform ‘Yoga and Pranayam’ for remainder of her life and not take any treatment while in jail custody. Denying that this was a voluntary decision, she said it was the consequence of all the restrictions placed upon her and their adverse effects on her health.
Pointing out that she is a hermit who has lived a selfless and disciplined life, she said her confinement in jail ‘without any reason’ has denied her the freedom necessary to live her kind of life, and has disrupted her daily schedule, characteristics and values of life. It is simply not possible to live a life of hermit in jail. She said only if released she would “undergo treatment without any restrictions and may achieve good health and shall lead a life of hermit”.
She urged the court to consider her life and the life of a hermit in the context of Indian culture, and see if there is any provision in law, or judicial discretion, by which she can be granted bail as she is only a suspect in a case (Malegaon bomb blast of 2008). Pledging innocence ofany crime, the Sadhvi said she had always lived the life of a nationalist and abided by the Constitution; she has no past criminal record and was wrongfully accused by the Anti-Terrorism Squad.
The Sadhvi claimed she was writing this appeal after some people visitedher in jail on January 16, 2013, and showed her a copy of the order passed by the Mumbai High Court offering to grant her ‘choice of place for getting treatment in relation to ill health’. Expressing gratitude for the judge’s sensitivity and concern for her health, she urged the court tounderstand her mental condition and feeling of helplessness.
Recalling the case, she said that on October 7, 2008, she received a call from E Sawant of the ATS, who asked if she could please come downto Surat to give information regarding a bike (motorcycle). Accordingly, she went to Surat on October 10, and informed E Sawant that she had arrived.
At midnight the same day (October 10, 2008), E Sawant and some of his colleagues took her to the ATS office at Kala Chowki, Mumbai, on the pretext of presenting her before senior officers. She was kept in illegal detention for 13 days and subjected to horrific mental, physicaland vulgar torture. In spite of being a woman, she was encircled by senior police officers and beaten with belts, thrown on the floor, abused in un-parliamentary language and made to hear a vulgar CD. The ATS continued this torture day and night.
Sadhvi Pragya said that on October 15, the ATS officers took her to Rajdoot Hotel and tortured her, so much so that the membranes of her lung and stomach were ruptured. As she fell unconscious and was unable to breathe, she was admitted to a private hospital, Shushrusha. The report of the hospital mentions the rupture of membranes. Sadhvi Pragya said she could show the court the place when directed. After two days at Shushrusha, she was shifted to a large hospital and kept on ventilator for five days.
After this brief respite, she was taken back to the office of E Sawant at Kala Chowki and tortured. Then she was taken to Nashik at night and her arrest officially recorded after 13 days. By then she had not eaten for many days and had developed an “unstable state of mind” due to the torture. In this state of unconsciousness, her saffronclothes were removed and a salwar suit put on.
Sadhvi Pragya complained that she was illegally subjected to narco analysis, and polygraph and brain-mapping tests without court permission. These tests were again conducted after showing her arrest on record. As a result of the “inhuman torture”, she developed serious backbone and other problems and is unable to walk, sit and stand on her own. She is mentally disturbed and her power totolerate (pain) is fading.
In her fifth year in jail, she was giveneggs as her food to destroy her ‘satvikta’ (purity). As a result of overall negative environment she succumbed to other serious ailmentsas well. Regarding the cancer, she is unable to take the diet prescribed bythe doctors.
Due to her multiple problems, the court ordered medical treatment and she was taken to JJ Hospital and an Ayurvedic hospital where only papers were prepared but no treatment was offered. In 2009, she had a breast operation, but again developed pain in 2010. She was in Central Jail, Nashik, when the MCOCA case against her was dropped. Thereafter she was sent to the district hospital under court orders where a special team was constituted which advised an operation; but she was brought backto Mumbai on charges under MCOCA.
As her condition became critical, the court ordered medical treatment and she was admitted to JJ Hospital, Mumbai, and Ayurvedic Hospital, Mumbai. But again only formalities were completed and no treatment given. Throughout her hospitalisation, the police security guards used to trouble her and she even reported this to the learned judge on several

Wasn't Karkare in charge of the ATS at this time?
