Why has this after election deal been pre poned before elections. Looks like TDP is stronger than in 2009.

Regarding Rahul Ghandi, I think may be willing to let him lose 2014 for PG to be head and take the INC to victory later.

The freak accident at Kolakaluru village of Guntur in district in which Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu received minor injuries has come at a right time for the party to generate the much-needed sympathy among the people.

In fact, for the last few days, Naidu has been able to attract youth to a large extent in Krishna and Guntur districts. His promise that he would develop Vijayawada and Guntur as twin cities on par with Hyderabad and Secunderabad and make it as a hub of information technology is said to have gone well into the people. Since Naidu has the track record of developing Hyderabad as a IT hub and no other party made such a promise for the people of Krishna and Guntur district, he has gained advantage to some extent.

In fact, a large number of youth gathered at Naidu’s Kolakaluru meeting and they jostled for his autograph, which resulted in a melee causing the collapse of the staircase. Naturally, the TDP leaders want to cash in on the sympathy among the people. Already they are saying that a 63-year old person is struggling to provide a better future to the youth and in the process, he is not caring even for his health. It remains to be seen how far this sympathy talk would translate into votes!

Universities Get The Hint: No Telangana?
According to sources, authorities of various universities and professional colleges got an informal order form the government to see that they complete the syllabus before March 10 and get ready for conducting the examinations any time. As per the original schedule, the universities were to complete the syllabus by April and conduct the examination process by April end or May first week. Now, they are asked to advance the process by a month.

As a result, the lecturers and professors are working overtime to complete the syllabus before March 10. They are being denied leaves even to attend marriages of their close relatives this week.

Now every on is in 2014 election mood. No one in Delhi has much time for AP agitations and they get their feed back from CM/PCC Head and ultimately from Narasimhan. We all know what they think. There is no overwhelming election advatage with division. We know what home ministry thinks. So unless something convince INC that they will have serious political advantage with Division they are not going to do it.

Even BJP with NaMo as PM may not be too keen on division of states that too AP wherein they have no presence and NaMo has Kutch to think off.

I read there is a huge turnout, nearly 90% in some places. Communists are hoping to come back to power.

93 per cent turnout in Tripura elections
Tripura has set a new record by registering the country’s highest-ever voter turnout, with 93 per cent of the electorate casting their votes in the Assembly elections held on Thursday. The polling was by and large peaceful.

Tripura had set a record of 91.22 per cent polling in the last Assembly polls in 2008 also, which was so far the highest in the country. The state has a total electorate of 23,58,493 voters.

The Left Front is hoping to return for a record fifth time to the 60-member Assembly. The main contest is between the Left alliance and the Congress. The CPM had won 46 seats and CPI got one while the Congress had bagged just 10 seats in the last Assembly polls.
Somehow this Hindu majority elected Communist parties.

Bji - how to get the naxalite movement back into hindu fold?

Seriously I have doubts on whose side the VHP is on.

Muslims offer namaz in Bhojshala amid protests
The agitators were seen venting ire against the state government and the BJP. They even ransacked the newly constructed BJP office in Dhar. The VHP leader Hukumchand Savla said, "The Hindus will show their anger against the BJP government at an opportune time," he said. Savla meant that the Hindus would vote against the BJP in next assembly elections due later this year.
Ever heard of CPI(M), IUML, PDP, SP, BSP working for a BJP victory or INC defeat in say Karnataka or Uttrakhand etc.

Possibly an effort on reap a Right Wing crop after the recent social disturbances from Bengal to NE, linked to Islamic and Missionary forces.
Politicians have their way into reading the reactive nerves of the people.

On Rajasthan, central leadership of BJP is keeping a close watch on the State pool. Efforts are on to plan and organize things well in advance so revolts and differences could be avoided.
Leaders have been assigned with specific duties of monitoring the State affairs. BJP is trying to show confidence but only time will tell.
I think there is a vote reversal in progress in Rajasthan. Contrary to the past Congress will have more votes in cities and will face severe anti incumbency in rural areas. BJP will benefit in rural areas and lose to Congress in cities.
Just my estimate.

Don't know if to believe this survey. Done by dubious magazine with open bias. Even though Modi comes favorable, the details are misleading. In Area where BJP should win big - West and central India (Guj, Raj, MH, MP etc) Rahul and Modi are neck to neck. Rest where BJP has no/little presence, Modi is miles ahead. My take, manipulated survey. If news/opinion can be balantly baised why not surveys

The VHPs anger is correct. Why should the govt facilitate Muslim prayers in a Hindu temple? What is the difference between BJP and congress then?

Read the news item, the MP administration did elaborate arrangements to allow Muslim prayers on a Hindu festival day, Vasanth Panchami.

This is the secular nonsense BJP should get away from.

any govt ruling the state has to be impartial.
It has to maintain law and order first.
negotiations can go on between communities.
VHP is stupid enough to ask for instant results. This is a old issue going on for years. why the phcuk does vhp idiots want to creat a sceme now. they know it.
govt has to rule without any preconditions for votes.
Hindus have to fight it out for the temple.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ASI is a central govt institution. It has given permission for muslims to give namaz on fridays for 2 hours. Infortunately the friday was also a Hindu religious festival basant panchami.
ASI said that muslims can give namaz for 2 hours-- local govt made arrangements for this between 12.30 to 3.30 pm for muslims. Asked VHP folks to cool off, but use the rest of the day for the basant panchami functions. However the hotheads want to scr*w everyone.
Amongst some hotheads there is a political angle also with some favoring congis who gain the most with muslims forced to side with congis. VHP idiots going against the state govt.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
win win for congis.
look out for more controversies with congis stoking communal events.
lot of deft work needed to avoid being targetted with "communal' fights for BJP.

Muslims live and fight out in streets- thugs power. every party fears them hence they get their votes.
Hindus should also come out in large numbers and vote. they cannot whine and get scr*wed in larger scheme of things.

Alas Indian elections are like caste votes. Muslim caste is the largest caste in India (politically), hence they get the maximum advantage.

Ramdev to field candidates in next Lok Sabha elections

Yoga guru Baba Ramdev is all set to foray politics by fielding candidates under the banner of his political outfit — Bharat Swabhimaan Party — in the next Lok Sabha polls. While addressing 5th foundation day function of the Gaushala in Murlana village of Sonipat, he stated that the names of the candidates would be announced at an appropriate time before the elections.
Giving slogans of "swadeshi lao, videshi bhagao" and "gau bachao, desh bachao" (save cows, save nation)", Ramdev said around 10 lakh people has been infected with cancer due to use of imported fertilizers and pesticides and another crores are being spent to import the medicines.

Krishna,

1. VHP is not stupid, it is one of the very few organizations in India that is steadfast in raising this kind of issues.

2. It is not raising this issue this year. The issue has been kept in public mind by VHP for many years. This issue pops up Everytime a Hindu festival comes on a Friday.

3. Why are Hindu murthis in meusiums?

4. ASI is a convenient organization to keep some heritage sites from praying religions. But at the same time majority of these sites are Hindu religious/cultural centers too.

5. It will be status-quo as long as congress system is alive and Indian constipation remains secular.

6. VHP vision is much more than BJP's vision as far as Hindu interests are concerned.

7. If BJP too implements the same secularism (Christianity without church) and p-secularism (Islam without mullahs) then why do we need BJP? Pls remember sooner than later other parties too can catchup on good-governance while remaining Christian/Muslim centric.

The tactic of INC is not to gain votes and public mandate. Its strategy is to split opposition votes. They will use EVMs not to add votes for them but to distribute the opposition votes in such a way that congress candidates will win even if they get hardly 30% of votes polled.

Every single survey will fail when it comes to polls. One they could be inefficient/deliberately biased and the other they all follow the footprints of the way surveys are done in US. It will work wonders in case of two parties or two persons.

The only factor that gives from these surveys is an alternative analysis. What if we project someone else instead of Modi? If we project Modi there is a chance to be relevant but if not what? All parties get is a TINA factor and nothing else.

The only way one can win or not is caste, money and opposition vote divisions at each constituency level. These things are only 50-50 surveyable.

Based on the money that is involved in scandals and also the disenchantment of a vast corporate of India with UPA, one factor that clearly tells is that India's elections and final coalition leader is no more determined by issues or poorer rural masses. It is how much of money pull and effect of corporate approval one has. Having any one only will not put you in lead. Having both only puts you in the lead. Modi is only half with respect to Rahul on the money pull but way ahead on the second. No one else in the entire political landscape is even in the race.

Jai ho Modi. :)

With AAP, Baba Ramdev, even SriSri the plan to split the anti-UPA vote is in full-swing.

Through in the disarray in the BJP, and I do not have much hope.

UPA-3 might be even worse since they will know they can get away with everything.

Nagaland's home minister detained; Rs 1.10cr cash, arms seized from his vehicle
Nagaland Home Minister Imkong L. Imchen was on Monday detained near Wokha district for allegedly carrying a cache of arms and ammunition and Rs. 1.10 crore in cash in a vehicle, official sources said.

Assam Rifles intercepted the vehicle near the Nagaland-Assam border and recovered the aforesaid items after a search.

Baba Ramdev uses most of the same infrastructure at ground level as do the Sanghis.

Between Baba ji and NM it is a no contest. NM wins.

But then why assume that BR is a Kongi Team B. The kind of troubles he is in already. There is just no way he will get out easily. Besides most of his trust is outside the control of the Kongis. And you guys could be under-estimating the ego factor with a true Saffronite.

If is a cooperative thing then its ok. But if it is a competitive thing then instead of being a Kongi B-Team he could be the VHP A-Team. Togadia is very close with BR. You can see Togadia on BRs channel every few days. And Togadia and BR use pretty much the same oration. BR is also close with BKU people. The whole of the BR's following are sangh sympathisers.

But if Togadia is going to use him as the VHP A-Team then he has choosen the worst possible time to push the issues. At this point most Anti-Kongi Hindus will easily turn away from Hindutva, if he persists. A moral fight must never be degraded by ego issues.

The season of the DCCB polls is on and already the first phase of this is completed. Some interesting results have come with TDP resurging in good numbers and TRS going down badly. But it is heard that the congress party has become quite notorious as they are using their ruling power to the fullest. Reports are coming from various areas of the DCCB poll regions that congress has resorted to many violations. This was in case of filing nominations, trying to create irregularities in the voters list. Not stopping at that, it is heard that the congress has also introduced ways to disqualify few TDP contestants on few grounds. In some areas, kidnapping of the candidates has taken place, as per sources. Due to this kind of suppressive attitude of the congress, some of the parties are backing off from the second round of polls. Their target now is to keep their control over their strong areas and also take the areas of other parties. Let’s see what happens.

Sorry Sir. Party less elections as per the most of reports. There is a demand for making them party based elections. We have to see. If Party less all the people who win the elections will be made "our" people by INC.

Let us also understand that these elections are under the state election commission and not national elections commission which is reasonabilly fair. So lot of manipulations will be there. But it will do two things. It will expose Jagan criminal gang and TRS as they do not have people and organisation in most of the places. They mainly draw their "support" through media manipulation, Psy Ops and manipulation of simpathy and emotions. It is difficult for them to have ground level workers now. With INC in power all the people who may be "Jump Jilanis" (All Telugu people knows what that word means) who might have jumped to TRS and Jagan will not see and judge if it is advantages to them or not.

In case of part based election and if TRS fails to sweep the T agitations and jumpings from INC and TDP to TRS will stop. If Jagan fails it would be very diffuclt to recover.

The TDP president Chandrababu Naidu has been going strongly forward with his Padayatra ‘Vastunna Mee Kosam’ and currently he is in the Guntur region. However, the graduates MLC election is currently on so the Election Commission had actually banned Babu from being present in that area. But it is heard that Babu had gone ahead and put in a plea to stay in the district. The update is that Election Commission has conceded to his demand but they have put in a condition. Babu is not supposed to hold any public meeting and ensure that he remains indoors from February 19-21. Currently, Babu is staying at Jampani in Vemuru constituency so it is not sure what he and his party members would decide on receiving this from EC. The good side is the TDP has been getting a favorable response during the ongoing elections but many are waiting to see what Babu will do before February 21st.

all such questions will not be answered. the insistence on maintaining special group identity in politics by a Christian potentate like Jagan/Vijayamma has the astounding effect of tongue-tying the resident "secular liberals" on BRF. I've asked the same type of questions on many occasions. but on encountering the bankruptcy of Indian Secularism, our "conscience keepers" respond with resounding silence. not even a peep.
