Wrong analogy. . Here is the right analogy. Read the following story related to Krishna.
When SriKrishna was living in Dwarka he used to utter the name of Radha while in sleep. This will make Rukmini and Satyabhama etc jealous of Radha. When one such incident happened again then Rukmini complained to SriKrishna that isn't our devotion, love and dedication enough that even after so many years you would utter the name of Radha. What's so special about Radha's devotion to you?. It so happened that Sage Narada was present there when Rukmini was making this complain. After hearing to Rukmini SriKrishna looked at Narada and smiled and complained about severe headache. All the Vaidyas of Dwarka were called to cure Him but none were successful. Seeing nothing working someone suggested why not ask Sage Narada given that he has the knowledge of three phases of time and all of universe.

When asked, Sage replied, headache can be cured if someone, who loves SriKirshna, can offer the dust of his/her feet to be used a paste and applied to His forehead. Everybody in Dwarka, including Vasudev and Devki, refused saying we don't want to be condemned to hell forever for the sin of applying feet dust to the forehead of SriKrishna, The Lord Himself. News reached to Indraprastha and there too everybody refused for the fear of commiting the great sin. Finally Narada suggested why not try in Braja as well with Radha. When this became known to dwellers of Braja that their Krishna was in pain and can only be cured with dust of their feet. Every Gopi and Gope was ready to offer dust of their feet and live in hell for eternity but can't see their SriKrishna in pain even for a moment.

When dust arrived in Dwarka Rukmini and others were in shock and curious to know offered this dust. When they heard the argument of Brajwasis, they realized that greatness of selfless love of Gopi/Gopes towards Krishnas. And Krishna gotup smiling saying his pain is cured,
So, if present day BJP(powerful party in position to capture power) is Sri Kirshna living in Dwarka, people like me are Gopi/Gopes of Braja (faraway from Krishna of Dwarka surrounded by Rukminis and Satyabhamas like you), who were with Krishna (BJP) when He was in his childhood and if required anytime ready to live in hell even now but can't see their Krishna in Pain.

using the motto of "unlimited power without accountability" is the crutch on which dynasty rests now from after RG days. atleast upto RG they were willing to stand up and lead as PM , facing whatever limited brickbats of the day (much less awareness, no internet). after that its shifted into this dark mode of being shielded from all responsibility but wielding absolute power.

since the Yuvaraj's capabilities (or lack of it) are well know to inner circle, I think they will project AKA or PC as the PM candidate as both are senior, younger and in relatively good health vs MMS...while Yuvaraj becomes party president , gen secy , and continues to rule by royal decree , with the topic of "rebuilding the youth congress" continueing for another decade when he would be 51 yrs old (!)

that way they hedge the bets if Namo commands a strong challenge, the dynast will claim they didnt lose because they didnt accept battle in the first place.

Modi not eligible to be national leader: Congress
Reacting to the remarks of Modi, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Rajiv Shukla said, “The kind of language that Modi used does not behove any leader of national stature. I think he is yet not capable of attaining the stature of a national leader."
So terming the BJP a "terrorist organization" and Modi 'Maut ka saudagar" is acceptable, genteel language - but Modi calling the Dynasty termites is unacceptable !! When will India ever be free from the clutches of this set of demented, low-IQ bunch of morons ?

Are yaar why are you showing such great khujli?

If you think people will be happy to vote in 2014 without explicit clarity on PM candidate then say so.

that is true. Sonia jji Rahul jji and and all those great leaders have given the Indian public a lot of clarity. Modi is yet to be clear. he has to come clean shaven and do a naked dance on Red fort. Otherwise people will not be happy.

Fine so just say that the BJP should not declare its PM candidate before election, rather than shouting about Namo taking off his underwear and dancing.

The psecs survive on western funding and loot of desi treasury (for now). No reason why the right thinking people and orgs should put up with their tantrums.

Adani group better watch out for IT/ED/CBI raids + blackmail + usual INC dirty tricks in the coming weeks. ..

My feeling is that Dynasty will never declare their PM candidate just like they did in previous elections. I mean there is no way they can declare Buddhu a PM candidate. Neither the night watchman is an option. PC is unpopular in middle class. There is no one.

Con has always banked on their ability of buying votes, dirty politics and coalition. But this time it is going to be very hard. The UPA elements will bargain hard this time and con will have to bend backwards before them. Chances are UPA will break up before the election time and we will be in for early polls. Think this from mulayam's and mayavati's POV. Why would they want to go into polls while supporting the most corrupt gov in the history? And that too under RG/MMS's flag of PMship? That's more the reason that congis will not declare their PM candidate.

Toorjo Ghosh, Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania,

Ania Loomba, the Catherine Bryson Professor of English and Suvir Kaul, the A M Rosenthal Professor of English"

These were the three worthies who organised the campaign against NM at Wharton.

FYI - Mr. Ghosh was jailed during the Occupy Philadelphia campaign, Loomba is working on a history of leftist women, as per her bio on the UPenn website.

Narendra Modi effect: Wharton to lose main sponsor?

New Delhi, March 4: Ahead of its crucial and one of the biggest event, it seems that Wharton India Economic Forum may lose its main sponsor with the ouster of Gujarat-based billionaire entrepreneur Gautam Adani.
As a mark of protest against Wharton organisers' decision of snubbing Narendra Modi as one of the guest speakers, Mr Adani on Monday, March 4 cancelled his scheduled visit to the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Gautam Adani-led Adani Group is the main sponsor of the mega-event which is scheduled to be held on March 22 and 23.

Earlier Shiv Sena leader Suresh Prabhu also had called off his engagement with the even claiming that Wharton insulted India after dropping Modi's name from the speakers' list.
The Gujarat Chief Minister was supposed to address the crowd at at Wharton India Economic Forum on March 23. Earlier it was reported that Modi would address the prestigious forum at Philadelphia in the USA through video conferencing.
It is learnt that the authorities took the decision under "pressure from multiple stakeholders". "We do not endorse any political views and do not support any specific ideology. Our goal as a team is only to stimulate valuable dialogue on India's growth story," the forum said in a statement on Sunday.
It added, "As it stands currently, Mr Modi's keynote address at Wharton India Economic Forum has been cancelled." The forum is an annual student-run India-centric conference hosted by the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
A group of professors and students at Wharton had written a strong letter saying they are outraged to learn that the forum had invited Modi as a keynote speaker.
"This is the same politician who was refused a diplomatic visa by the United States State Department on March 18, 2005 on the ground that he, as Chief Minister, did nothing to prevent a series of orchestrated riots that targeted Muslims in Gujarat," the latter said.
Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia is also expected address the Forum on March 23. The forum said the student body was extremely impressed with Modi's credentials, governance ideologies, and leadership, which was the primary reason for his invitation.
Other invited guest speakers from India are - Union Minister of State for IT and Communications Milind Deora, Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia, actress Shabana Azmi and poet and scriptwriter Javed Akhtar.

PC is not popular in his own state. There are allegation that his winning from sivaganga last time was rigged. Either way, Cong plus dmk won't get into double digits in MP elections this time. dmk has its own succession issues and not united or organized. I doubt PC would be accepted by other cong leaders or maybe he would because he is not a mass leader who can takeover leadership.....i give up trying to understand cong politics..

^^^If wishes were horses, speeches and record alone would win the LS polls. Sure Indira did it once, no? Maybe it can be done again...

INC does have enormous amounts of public money to buy voters with, lest we forget. At this point, the best we can hope for, realistically, is stalemate with a third-front nightwatchman in for a year or two before we go to mid-term polls in 2016 thereabouts. And thats when the real war can be fought with the BJP and INC on a more even footing, resources wise.

Following Advani's speech, the fightback against Modi within BJP has begun in earnest -

Modi is a good campaigner but BJP cannot risk projecting one individual as 'PM' candidate: Sheshadri Chari - http://ibnlive.in.com/news/modi-is-a-go ... 32-37.html

Basically there is no problem if Modi campaigns and gets votes but PM must be decided after the polls by senior leaders in closed door meetings with important allies like Nitish Kumar.

Wharton episode can be played very well to an advantage. Modi should be invited by a desi b-school where he mesmerizes them. And the unfairness of his opponents will be automatically seen. The more Modi is victimized, the better for him. That is if BJP can be united. Wharton cancellation is a varaprasadam

Modi should not hesitate to break away from BJP.

Modi is a powerful shadow force in the BJP now. He is now pulling more strings behind the scenes. If another candidate like Jaitley is put up he will exert a lot of influence on him by proxy. All this hype doesn't mean much. After magnificent speeches, media hype, industry backing, RSS and BJP cadre support, and booming popularity all across the web and country, he will not just fade into the background and stay confined to Gujarat.

The key thing to observe is if Modi is given 100% authority to choose BJP candidates for 2014.

If not, it will be quite possible for him to be pushed aside after polls. Why should Pramod Mahajan type MPs axe their own feet.

Generally in other parties, be it Congress or SP or BSP or DMK or AIADMK, it is very clear who is calling the shots. In BJP the strings of power are not with Modi.

Wharton MODIfied...!

No army can stop an idea whose time has come. Alas! However a group on Facebook feels that it has been successful in running a campaign to Ban Narendra Modi From Speaking At Wharton. Though they have been successful but there’s more than meets the eye.

The moment you access this “closed” group community page, you are greeted with a line which urges all its (handpicked/strictly by invitation) members to see Ania Loomba’s post written in ALL CAPS. There’s an English saying: Your friends are your introduction. So I headed straight to Ms. Ania’s Facebook profile to checkout her friends list. I have the following observations to make:

# One of her friends happens to be Siddharth Vardarajan (Editor, The Hindu).

# Another of her friends is Ms. Sania Hashmi. I went to her profile & checked out the people she is “following”. There were only two. One of them happens to be Ms. Teesta Setalvad.

# One more friends of hers, Amba Sanyal has added Amartya Sen in her “likes”.

# One of her friends & also a signatory to the petition is Ms. Kavita Krishnan (Secretary, AIPWA). AIPWA is a women’s association of the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Liberation.

After this, I went through the text of their petition & was mighty disappointed. Modi critics are getting so predictable. That same old 2002 riot mumbo-jumbo & the US visa rhetoric formed the basis of this petition.

There is no such thing as 100% authority. There is always influence behind influence. Like I said, he can't be ignored and has huge backing among support base. He will undoubtedly exert at least some power over PM candidate if it comes to that. People are inspired by him and actually listen to what he has to say.

The problem is these people had to lick a** to get to where they are. The discourse on India was limited in the past and was even more tightly controlled by sec-left clique so overtime they became brainwashed. Now they have to return the favor in order to keep teaching the same nonsense so that they can pay the mortgage.

As far as the alumni base is concerned, majority of the signatories are not even from the Wharton School or UPenn. Only a minority fraction of them belong to it. So which alumni base is Wharton referring to? They must come clean on it.

Some of the prominent members of its alumni which ought to be mentioned here are as follows:
