He did not. The center did. If he blocked it, he would be suspected of the attack.
Not sure who initiates the process for NIA to get involved. Instead of chankian masterstrokes, the state police should carry out a very thorough investigation. If there is any Congi involvement, then they need to be named, shamed and convicted publicly, so that people will remember the crime for the next 50 years.

+1001. Looks like Advani is still hoping that at least for 1 day he would sit in the PM's chair . BJP with leaders especially they have at the Delhi HQ, stands no chance of even being a good opposition. The party again is now resting all hopes on one single person, which I feel may not be a good thing to have in the long run. BJP as a party is still not able to sell its USPs and idealogy. Even the commies have done a better job in this.

Ok so Arvind Fordriwal contests against sheela and AAP fields candidates on all delhi seats, easier for ConParty to transfer BJP votes to AAP via EVM, thus splitting them and winning again. Genius! The ConParty doesn't have to steal BJP votes using EVMs just distribute between BJP and AAP to form the govt. again.

BJP rules out pre-poll tieup with any party: New Indian Express
The BJP on Sunday ruled out any pre-poll alliance with its erstwhile partner BJD or any other political party for the next elections.

As on today, the party’s stand is clear. It will fight the next general elections on its own strength.

The party’s State unit president, K V Singhdeo, has said it before and this is the stand of the party even today, spokesperson of the party Suresh Pujari told mediapersons here.

Describing Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik as a betrayer, Pujari said there is no question of any pre-poll or post-poll alliance with the BJD. Responding to a query on possible alliance with the newly floated Odisha Jana Morcha by erstwhile adviser of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Rajya Sabha member Pyarimohan Mohapatra, Pujari said there is no truth in it. During his recent visit to the State, national spokesperson of the BJP Chandan Mitra had also ruled out any electoral understanding with the BJD.

Pujari said the meeting of the party’s state office-bearers, national executive committee members and chief of frontal organisations of the party presided over by Singhdeo on Sunday discussed electoral strategies for the next general election.

“The mission is clearly defined how to face the next general election. The task is very big but the time is very short,” Pujari said.

The meeting also discussed the strength and weaknesses of the party, he said and refused to elaborate. There are large number of issues __ corruption and deteriorating law and order situation __ against the State Government, but the Opposition political parties have failed to take political mileage out of it. Though the BJP has raked up the issue of multi-crore mining scam, it failed to take the issue to its logical conclusion, Pujari admitted.

Odisha Jan Morcha hopeful of alliance with BJP ahead of the 2014 general elections: PTI
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Jan Morcha (OJM) leader Pyarimohan Mohapatra on Saturday said he has got positive signals from BJP central leaders on possible pre-poll alliance with the party ahead of the 2014 general elections. Mohapatra, a Rajya Sabha MP from the state, said "I am in touch with the BJP's central leaders. They have given positive signal on the proposal of a OJM-BJP alliance in the state."

Mohapatra said this after sharing a dais with the senior BJP leader and party's in-charge in Odisha, Chandan Mitra. "I have not spoken to Mitra anything about the possible alliance. But, I have spoken to certain central BJP leaders." Mitra and Mohapatra were attending the annual function of an Odiya daily. "So far the party has decided to fight the coming elections on its own strength in Odisha. However, if required, the central leadership will take a decision on the possible alliance with any party," Mitra said.

The state BJP president KV Singhdeo and other party leaders immediately clarified that they would have no alliance with any party in the state. "We will maintain equal distance from both the BJD and the OJM," Singhdeo said.
How does Odisha Jan Morcha and its leader Pyari Mohan Mohapatra affect the electoral prospects of BJP in Odisha? Should BJP align with it?

^^Pyaribabu Mohapatra is as trustworthy ass a paki around 'uncovered meat'.

Pyari was singularly responsible (as much as any single man can be) for breaking the old bjd-bjp alliance. Some rumors say he is as much a converted xtian as his dear comrade radhakant naik - allegedly involved in the gruesome swami laxmanand saraswati murder.

I wouldn't touch pyari babu with a barge pole. DOubt the bjp is that stopid, more likely FUD by pyari and team, as usual. Unless the central leadership he is talking about is D4. JMTPs only.

Saffron to counter Pink: Postnoon
Two champions for T-state — TRS and BJP — have begun to fight for space in T-region with operation Akarsh and Atyakarsh to draw other party leaders.

Following the success of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in attracting three senior Congress leaders, including two members of Parliament into its fold through operation Akarsh, rival T-champion BJP has decided to give a tough competition by launching a similar operation.

The party is planning to woo all rival party leaders from the ruling Congress, opposition Telugu Desam Party and TRS into its fold by citing its strong credentials in the ongoing struggle for separate Telangana state. The party’s massive public meeting, being organised at Nizam College grounds tomorrow, would be used as a platform to launch ‘Atyakarsh’ (great attraction). It has already netted a big fish, Nagam Janardhan Reddy.

The public meeting will be attended by the party’s national president Rajnath Singh, to mark the entry of senior politician and former minister in

TDP regime Nagam Janardhan Reddy into the party. Nagam would merge his Telangana Nagara Samithi (TNS) with the BJP and formally announce his entry into the BJP in the presence of Singh. Given his image as the staunch separate Telangana supporter, Nagam’s entry into the saffron party is likely to give a much needed fillip to its otherwise weak image vis-a-vis rival TRS.

The party strongly feels

that the public meeting would help in consolidating its position in the Telangana region as the only party which can actually create a separate state, the dream of millions of people, if it returned to power in the 2014 General Elections.

“The only alternative to Congress is BJP, and Telangana will become a reality only under the BJP. Being a sub-regional party, TRS can’t create a Telangana state even if it won 15 MP seats. We will tell this to the people of the region and seek their support to ensure our victory,” BJP leader and former minister of State for Home affairs Ch Vidyasagar Rao said.

BJP alone can give Telangana

On his part, Nagam Janardhan Reddy, who is joining BJP during the massive public meeting, said that being a national party, BJP alone can create a separate Telangana state. He said it was because of this reason he is joining the saffron party.

“We have seen how the ruling Congress cheated us when it came to the cherished dream of millions of Telangana people. Whereas the BJP is not only openly fighting for a separate state, but has also promised to create the state immediately after coming to power at the Centre. I can tell you that the BJP is the only party which is committed to the creation of a separate state,” he said.

Nagam also said the BJP honoured its words and respected its allies while the Congress looked down upon its allies and ill-treated them. He cited examples of the Trinamool Congress and Samajwadi Party.

The saffron party has already started negotiations with rival party leaders, who are not happy in their respective parties. It is also trying to convince fence-sitters to join its fold. Plans are afoot to get mileage from fresh political developments that shook the Congress, following the desertion of its three senior leaders.
TRS's whole plank is to fight for creating Telangana. Their strategy is to put pressure on the Central Govt. using their numbers in Loksabha and force them to help create Telangana. TRS has however had no luck with Congress. So the only Central Coalition with which TRS could press for their demand for a separate state is NDA led by BJP.

But if a central party such as the BJP themselves take up the cause and can bolster their claim of support by including Telangana Nagara Samithi (TNS), then basically the plank of TRS has been totally taken over. Why would AP voters in favor of Telangana still vote for TRS?

It is proven that there is "no cause" for Telangana other than political opportunism. By simply taking sides, they are committing Adharma.

Adharma has consequences. When BJP itself is Adharmic it is no adhramic for non-T people or AP money bags to defeat not just in AP but other places that they can influence.

Mess BJP short sightedness created costed them Karnataka. In AP they created themselves bigger enemies.

There was NO Telangana movement till late 90s. After that BJP started shouting Telangana declaration and Congress created TRS. Telangana movement of early 70s died when then T protagonist Marri Chenna Reddy became CM of AP - again it was indicative of political opportunism.

It doesn't matter how popular demand (which by the way rose only after 2009 December statement) with in T. When national party takes up and says you guys are evil so screw you to others they need to face consequence. Adharma is Adhama no matter how popular Ravana is in Lanka.

I too think there is no need to give oxygen to regional outfits to grow. If OJM is on the verge of dying let it die. At least in its death it may be able to pull down BJD.

We all saw how they played just politics in Karnataka. Pathetic losers they become.

For just politics, they don't have to take cause but they can take any "cause". For AP and for India, there are enough parties for just politics and BJP can play politics and win 4-5 states they can win and get booted out in rest of states by regional parties and Congress.

Brilliant strategy -- bump off Ajit Jogi's rivals in Congress through the Maoists and then pressurize Raman Singh to resign citing security lapses. This way, Jogi's way is clear to the top.

What was her locus standi to berate the CM and his staff in the stooge governor's residence?
At a meeting with Chief Minister, Sonia blasted government for negligence; but Sunil Kumar offered to resign owing responsibility

As the Chhattisgarh government faced a severe crisis with allegations pouring in that inadequate security resulted in the death of 24 people in the Maoist attack on the convoy of Congress leaders in Bastar on May 25, Chief Secretary Sunil Kumar saved the day for Chief Minister Raman Singh at a meeting with top Congress leaders the next day.

The meeting, convened at Governor Shekhar Dutta’s house here, was attended by senior Congress leaders and top officials of the Central and State governments, including Director-General of Police Ram Nivas. Education Minister Brijmohan Agrawal, number two in the State Cabinet, was also present.

After visiting the party office in central Raipur, Congress president Sonia Gandhi drove down to the Governor’s house to meet the Chief Minister. She was accompanied by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, party vice-president Rahul Gandhi and Minister of State for Home Affairs R.P.N. Singh.

Senior officials of both the State and the Centre told The Hindu that Ms. Gandhi blasted the government for not providing the Congress leaders with adequate security when they visited Sukma. When she enquired about the size of the police contingent assigned for security, she was told that 600-700 personnel were deployed for route sanitisation. “You are lying,” shouted Ms. Gandhi, who went to say that she was told by Congress workers that “no force was present,” charging the State government with negligence and asking it to fix responsibility. “You can tell me, as no one other than senior officials is present in this room,” she said sternly, the officials said.

Senior officials of the Union government said they had never seen the Congress president so angry. “She was fuming,” an official said.

As officials of the State government and even the politicians fell silent, Mr. Kumar said that being head of the administration, he was responsible for any failure in security. “I am the head of administration, and hence it is my responsibility. I have a few months left [to retire]; I am ready to resign,” a senior officer present at the meeting quoted him as having said.

After Mr. Kumar intervened, the heat came down, and Mr. Singh took over, explaining the steps that he planned. Dr. Singh also extended his support :rotfl: [to the measures], said an official. “CS [the Chief Secretary] was fantastic. He really stood for us, like a true leader, and we are grateful [to him],” said one of his junior colleagues.

However, Mr. Kumar is not quite happy that some of his colleagues spoke to the media. “Look, meetings with high-profile dignitaries in the background of a tragedy would not have been closed door, if participants were free to talk about it,” he told The Hindu .

An IAS officer of the 1979 batch, Mr. Kumar was chosen for the post almost a year ago. Sources say Mr. Raman Singh is fond of Mr. Kumar, despite his overt liking for the left-wing ideology. In fact, the Chief Minister bypassed several senior officers while choosing him for the top post.

Mr. Kumar is one of the most respected officers of Chhattisgarh. “He is almost equally respected by the hardcore police officers, politicians with corruption charges, his colleagues and Left liberals in the State and across central India for his integrity and professionalism,” said an IPS officer in Delhi. “Perhaps, Mr. Kumar’s reputation helped us when things were about to go haywire,” said one of colleagues in the State.
So she lead an inquisition committee and was ready for a hanging of the State CM.

What will she do once the real culprits are found?

It is offensive for us to have a White European woman running around the country, shouting on elected Indian leaders. Which other race would tolerate this?

I am currently reading an old book "The Sultanate of Delhi." It is available online.

http://archive.org/stream/sultanateofde ... 9/mode/2up

In this, the author describes one of the reasons for the defeat of Hindus of Sindh by Mohd. Bin Kasim's army as the following:
"The Hindus, long accustomed to religious tolerance, had developed a cosmopolitan attitude towards other faiths and peoples ... Ignorant cosmopolitanism, combined with lack of patriotism, had produced a frame of mind in the generality of the Hindus that made little difference between their own countrymen and foreigners, and induced the disgruntled among them to go over to the side of the enemy of their country."
The way most Hindus have no problem with Sonia Gandhi ruling their country shows how little the psyche of Hindus has changed in the last 1200 years and why they keep losing their freedoms to other races.

Pranav, I am afraid that you can only think in one direction and keep rehashing the same thing again and again. You don't even try to think. You make post after post and think that defeating enemies who has "all means" (you don't have an idea of what "all means" they have other than EVM, EJ and corruption) is a very easy thing.

You still keep thinking that "India is not banana republic". Just think that all pillars of India are elements of a machinery that is really like Columbia and other failed nations around the world that is run by drug lords who have connections with all the might of the world. In the midst of this swomp there are few hopefuls that are trying to bring the country out of the rot. They have very little chance of achievement but they are hopeful to put it on a path that can have a future of setting it right.

In your world there are capable folks in India that can defeat this enemy and the ones who are on the frontlines are all either incapable or compromised. This is the line you write stuff.

You keep clinging on to this Raman Singh should not have been given to NIA. What will he do? He will put his state's investigative agency and solve the problem when his opposition's party is wiped out? All it needs afterwards is a "cook up" allegation. Imagine the enemy here that was able to give NAC membership to a Naxal who was sentenced to life imprisonment by using the "buddies" of SC bench. Entire institutions are compromised.

In 1992 after Babri was pulled down, PVNR dismissed all BJP government in one swoop. SC endorsed his move because according to SC, the center has right to dismiss government on law and order issues. Raman Singh has to keep this in the background. He is still not out of woods.

Any truthful output to investigation for the recent killing is dead on arrival. Trying to prove something is useless. Let the creators/mentors of these killers and killers figure out whatever they want to do.

The masterstroke that he did is visible. He gave the anti-Naxal operation to central forces and he created the operations as a joint operation of Union Home Ministry and state government. The state government's responsibility is just the local topographical and human intel information from the police. He did not do out of cowardice as he know the mechanisms of congress party and the power that they wield to remove him. In the same pursuit, why should he even bother to investigate the case where 24 of congress dies. The end result is waste of time even if you have a clinching evidence of Ajit Jogi's hand. Let the congressmen eat the goose they cooked for more than a decade.

Let Naxals and congressmen fight it out in Bastar. His only concerns should be to ensure this mayhem does not go beyond bastar.

The point is worth considering, I will reserve my opinion for now.

NIA probe reveals four Congress leaders were in constant touch with Maoists

The initial report by National Investigation Agency (NIA) said that four Congress leaders were involved in the deadly attack on Congress convoy by Maoists on May 25.

Four Congress leaders were in 'constant touch' with Maoists on the fateful day, the report said. It said they have informed the Maoists about the change of route.

The NIA has got the information after anaylising the call details.

The suspicion over insiders being involved in the attack was first raised by Mahendra Karma's son Deepak, who claims that such a precision strike couldn't have been possible without insider inputs.

Earlier, Madhya Pradesh BJP president Narendra Singh Tomar said that former Chhattisgarh chief minister and Congress leader Ajit Jogi was "apparently" the part of the "conspiracy" behind the Maoist attack on Congress convoy that killed 27 people.

For heaven's sake man take a snapshot (via print screen)... it has been removed ... but it may still be cached on a CDN before you get it.
