Chinese expansionism: steps taken to nullify Chinese threat, preparation over decades to defend IOR, free access to cheap Chinese goods leading to FDI imbalance in Chinese favour, nullifying and clarifying indirect threats that Chinese pose by international economic policies & pakis etc.

Got to expose lack of resolve in dealing with strategic issues and individuals who let strategic gaps continue.
Jihad 3.0 will be the final push to take the subcontinent, Mughalistan is the plan, includes Battle of Khorasan, Cashmere and GV. B'desh has already started the enabling moves from the delta westwards, they are coordinating well while rank confusion prevails amongst their infidel opponents!

Dhesh may also lose the Northeast to PRC for a while, events are surely picking up pace.

Very interested in knowing how cash transactions will be brought into the fold. Cash or Gold hoarders will increase and we'll likely see another wave of money distribution reducing.
How will they implement welfare schemes and eliminate middle-man corruption? That is more of my current concern. Just how will corruption be punished in this country? Elaborate on that, and half the troubles of this nation will be handled effectively.
It has been Subramanian Swamy's deep seated pet theme. He has been fighting for it since the late 70s and 80s. Check Pages 363 & 364 : http://books.google.com/books?id=UlI3AA ... my&f=false

Some of the conversations are quite witty. Venki and Subbu go against each other like any two tambrahms would go against each other. Swamy has this deep hatred for black money as well.

Another interesting personality is S.Gurumurthy of the Swadeshi Jagran Manch who has his own ideologies, just like Kejriwal. I think Kejriwal's book 'Swaraj' has been in circulation among some intellectuals/leaders of TN who are impressed by it.

Modi will continue to attract good and bad people who will want to use Modi to get their agenda. That is the nature of politics.

An hour back spoke with a spokesperson for BJP in Gujrat. Echoed pretty much the BR sentiment not to dhoti shiver about AAP, but acknoledge it does have an impact though. More telling was that he kept repeating wait for another ten days everything will cool down. I was not sure if it was a general statement or if he meant anything specific.

He did say that Modi is very cool strategist and he plans his moves carefully.

If this happens, AAP would not know what hit them! They will start attacking Kiran Bedi and others and completely lose the sympathy of the voters.

There is an online registration going on for NaMo's rally in WB.

Except for Delhi, I think everywhere outside the Hindi belt, NaMo has had an online registration and sometimes entry donation as well.

Happy to report that I came to know about a young couple, based in maasa, who are already disillusioned with Kejriwal. They are pro-Modi, Modi-4-PM but impressed with Kejriwal as he was "aam admi" ityadi and thought he would be really different and had high expectations of him. AAP's stance on Shiela's corruption + Congress support + the economics of water + two 5-bedroom duplexes + Toyota Inova Car as perks ityadi killed their excitement.

http://www.ndtv.com/article/india/aam-a ... d_also_see

The young lady was never interested in politics, but AAP excited her and made her follow politics, now it took only three days. She was so disillusioned that she decided to vent to me and talk politics with me :-) I acknowledged Kejriwal is a bright chap, and probably good at heart (she is questioning even that now).....but pointed out some of the regressive policies and how they are not practical and big promises ityadi.

There is hope.....

ONE MAN STANDING
Between India and anarchy stands Narendra Modi, and the Congress party, its political partners, Western powers, China and Pakistan are determined to remove him from the way. In pursuit of his own ambitions, Arvind Kejriwal of the Aam Admi Party is prepared to play their game. There are some in the Bharatiya Janata Party who would also gladly see the Gujarat chief minister quit the prime minister’s race. It would conceivably be the best thing for India if he becomes the prime minister in 2014 and the worst if his detractors and enemies triumph. Under him, the nation will resolutely rise, and in his absence, it will plunge into the abyss. This is as clear as day is not night.
Reconciled to losing the 2014 election badly, the dynasty appears keen to buttress Arvind Kejriwal to neutralize Modi. One giveaway to his scheme is the sudden animation of Ahmed Patel, Sonia Gandhi’s all-powerful political secretary, who, according to the press, managed to get the Aam Admi Party on board. When Shiela Dixit tried to scupper the deal, Patel came into the limelight for the first time in decades to say all was well with the arrangement with the Aam Admi Party. Patel, if anyone needs reminding, comes from Gujarat, and is the party’s point man to target Narendra Modi in the state and elsewhere.
If there is any deal in which Ahmed Patel is involved, you would be seriously hard-pressed to call it chaste. Since he has now become the face of the Congress for ties with the Aam Admi Party, it sends its own message. The Congress attempt, perhaps, is to manage a Delhi-type election result all over the country where a clear majority eludes Modi, and then to back a complete non-entity for the post of prime minister, and Kejriwal and his group could come handy for such a denouement. Kejriwal may be a clean man, but most men, if not all, have a price.
The history of the Congress party is to use and discard allies and friends. It backed Nitish Kumar in Bihar after he broke with the Bharatiya Janata Party, and he is, today, a nowhere man, deeply embittered, with his prime-ministerial dreams shattered. Arvind Kejriwal will suffer the same fate. The Congress will tolerate his public abuses even while silently undercutting him, and by the time he is addicted to power, it will press its demands on him. Almost certainly, the Congress party will use the Aam Admi Party to absorb the people’s anger against it, and employ Kejriwal’s newfound celebrity to upset Narendra Modi’s applecart in North India where it most fears his march. Whether or not it succeeds is another matter, because such underhand dealings cannot entirely be concealed from voters, but its aim would be to kill two birds with one stone. The Congress party is desperate not so much for itself as for the fate of the dynasty if Narendra Modi comes to power, and desperate organizations can do dangerous things. In doing the Congress’s bidding, Arvind Kejriwal will surely cover his tracks with pious declamations and platitudes, and there may even be anti-Congress rhetoric for public consumption, but don’t be fooled.
Which is where the Western powers come in together with China and Pakistan with contributory roles. A weak, politically divided, economically crippled India suits their interests best. With Modi’s arrival, and the country’s unstoppable rise under his leadership a given, their entire devilry is frustrated. This may cast up as a surprise but Narendra Modi faces the direst threat to his life abroad. Intelligence officers go so far to suggest that Modi should undertake no foreign trips for the full duration of his first term as prime minister. It is not known if such inputs have been conveyed to him. The United States is in the forefront of Western powers that would loathe Modi’s ascension to power at the Centre. It withdrew his visa no sooner than the Congress formed the Central government, and it tried to play the Centre against Modi in the Devyani Khobragade case by objecting to his Bombay rally citing a non-existent threat to its Bandra East consulate. Against Modi, however, the campaign would exceed all this. The anti-Modi hit squads within India have suspected Western links, and the danger to his life multiplies abroad. In all such activities, the Pakistani connection is never far away, and looming in the background is China, Pakistan’s all-weather friend, and India’s implacable foe, which has much to fear from Modi’s rise. On the campaign trail, every hour that he survives is a small miracle.

AOA! Hope this happens. Best way to use VK Singh is to mobilize ex-servicemen, most of whom despise congress and all anti nationals. There are lots in the NE now too, all of whom would welcome the Gen for a large meeting or two. Dunno about Akhil Gogoi but that doesn't mean he is not an asset for BJP who might inject some pro-development sense in him. IMO ex-sevicemen are a large, natural pro-BJP, nationalist group that must be capitalised on. Their voice would carry a lot of weight, influence and respect.

I visited Patna yesterday. Saw some election posters of AAP leaders. It is fairly likely that some less-informed BJP voters might be seduced by what AAP has been doing. It is not clear to everyone that AAP is old wine in a new bottle.

Regarding development of Bihar: I see that some road construction has taken place is last one year. However, the progress is not spectacular. I would say that NiKu has shown only average progress as far as infrastructure development is concerned.

This, in a nutshell, encapsulates all that is wrong with Crazy-wal and the culture of costs that his party has introduced.

Who cares whether he lives in a 3-bedroom flat or in a 10-bedroom villa ??? I for one, do not. This whole day in -day out focus on costs is precisely what Kejriwal has introduced into Indian politics and he is being hoisted on his own petard ! A Kejriwal government will be accompanied by this meaningless, babu-type media circus of cost-control that will only gladden the hearts of the country's many bureaucrats.

I want a focus on REVENUE. What is the revenue that this moron plans to bring into Delhi ???? Can somebody ask the aam idiot of Delhi this question ?

Modi focuses in everyone of his speeches on national revenues and growing the pie for the country - and this idiot has managed to change the whole focus of political debate back to redistribution of income and cost-control.

I for one see much hope and promise in some of Kejri's methods.

His participatory democrazy thing for one.... I'd rather NM as PM call for a participatory democratic vote by local area people livinga round projects/monuments/resources named after Jawahar/Indira/Rajiv Gandhi on what they want the project name to be.

See, then it'll be the people's decision. And we can safely rename many of our national monuments and institutions etc.

Went to Srisailam recently. Did you know that the srisailam forest reserve is named the 'rajiv gandhi forest reserve'? I mean WTF... I'd rather it be named after PVNR, Potti Sriramulu or NTR or even freakin' chiranjeevi than these crooks... onlee.

The Indics or Dharmics are consolidating, closing ranks and reclaiming lost ground. Quitely. But Surely.

BTW, Raj'n is an ideal test ground for launching part of NM's future schemes and ideas. Full speed ahead.

Participatory democracy, though sounds idealistic, may lead to rule by majority. Sometimes the elected representative have to look at the greater good and enact laws that may be resented by lot of people. That's why we need to elect proper people who can overlook the momentary populism and think about long term issues. If we let every or any major decision for referendum we may not get anything done.
What if tomorrow the mohalla in my area decide to fill in the local lake and make plots for apartments? Or make the property tax less? Or ban any alcohol in the locality? Especially when most of the people want to portray sanctimoniousness in public? Every locality will become like Anna Hazare's model town.
I would rather have visionary leaders think by themselves rather than let the public do it for them. We have Kejriwal who outsourced thinking to public sms polling. Now he can't even decide on his house and jumps like a cat on hot tin roof. If the method can't even decide a house, forget FDI, nuclear plant etc.
I think the participatory democracy also lead to the Maoist type of government. That's how it typically starts and finally leads to dictatorship by the proletariat.
This is one of the major reason I don't trust or support Kejriwal and his cronies.

This "remove income tax" nonsense is getting more and more serious.

If income tax , excise etc etc is removed, where will the tax come from?

In year ending mar-2013,

GDP = Rs 100,00,00,000 crore = 100 lakh crore
Personal Income Tax + Corporate taxes = Rs 564,337 crore
Customs = Rs 186,694 crore
Excise = Rs 193,729 crore
Service tax = Rs 124,000 crore
Total Central Govt tax = Rs 10,77,611 crore = say 11 lakh crore
Non tax recipets = Rs 120,000
State Govt taxes = say another Rs 700,000 crore
Total state + central taxes = Rs 17 lakh crore about 17% of GDP
Total state + central non tax revenue = Rs 3 lakh crore = about 3% of GDP
And yet we have deficit of about Rs 300,000 crore = 3% of GDP

All numbers are approx.

So now if NaMo wants to get rid of all taxes, where will Govt get money to pay all Govt expenses of about Rs 20,00,000 crores ? Transaction tax? How many % ? Anyone got DRAFT of TT-law? And what will stop people from gold, silver or just hundi i.e. promise pay to evade hefty transaction tax of 2% ? How will short term lending survive with such transaction tax?

So can anyone give me DETAILED answer before I give a newspaper-advt that this transaction tax proposal is fake , fraud, phony etc etc? I am anti-AK and I will remain anti-AK. I have publicly given advt against AK because he is foreign agent and was peddling lies that "Lokpal with no RTR-Lokpal" good. I never gave any advt against NaMo because NaMo never peddled lies. But if NaMo makes "no income tax" type statement without FULL details, then it amounts to lie of worst proportions. And I will be left with no option but to give a newspaper advt to expose this lie. Not that my advt will do any damage --- it would be a gold fish against a whale. But whatever it is worth.

====

The whole election is getting a game of giving more and more irresponsible promises. We have AAP giving free water and 50% cheap electricity. We have Congress giving free food. And now we have BJP offering zero income tax !!! :(

Rahul Mehta ji, aap to dil par le rahen hein isko. Taxability as it is has little relevance to rationality. There are elaborate doctrines but you would be crazy to give social science the same relevance as is given to sciences. People have taxed beards and windows. On top of that this seems to be a proposal to be treated like long term ideas - UCC/Art 370/Tridevalaya. Seems like the people who are proposing this are themselves asking for 10+ years of study and refinement. Coupled with the small denomination currency this looks like an idea to get all payment mechanisms to the electronic mode. So this is not going to happen like the day after NaMo becomes PM. Lets presume NaMo is PM, then in that case this will happen when NaMo has been seen out of the office after two terms and 5-10 years are past.

See even otherwise the tax departments (direct as well as indirect) are now dependent on Self-Assessments. The real work has been handed over to the private sector. The reconciliations, ledger maintenance, documentation and really speaking almost none of the returns are studied seriously by the departments. If fact the situation is such that the most corrupt officers are the ones assessing who study the returns only to extract money.

Your RTR, even though it carries far less emotional and intellectual traction with even the educated classes probably carries more relevance than the present IT code which in turn carries more relevance than the present Indirect taxes laws.

So trying to analyse is futile because there is nothing to analyse yet.

NaMo has garnered promises/MoUs of billions of dollors. Industry and NaMo are not idiots. They would not ok this if this is going to become uncontrollable.

As they say ek baar to chance dena chahiye! :)

Not and dim view saar, in fact I am expecting resurgence in Magadha and its spillover in bengal and Panchaal in next decade. All I am saying about GV is it requires a kick in musharraf to awaken. This is inspired from Tagore's wish for India's awakening - a resounding kick from Him.

Panchala was the strongest power center in GV next to Jarasandha's Magadh. Drying of saraswati and attempt of kurus to migrate to GV is at the backdrop of all this. Drupad was the strongest power left in GV post bhima's killing of Jarasandha. They supported Pandavas with all their resources in their rise and fall and rise again. Pandavas in turn protected them from hastinapur and eliminated jarasandha paving for Panchal expansion eastwards. Anyway we digress. By the time of great war, drupad was de facto controlling almost entire GV.

Congress chalks out anyone but Modi strategy: Sunday Guardian
A secretive "Congress Strategy Group" has been set up by Rahul Gandhi to ensure that the next government will either be Congress-led or Congress-supported, thereby excluding a Bharatiya Janata Party-led coalition with Narendra Modi as Prime Minister.

This group is "mining its contacts within the investigative agencies, friendly BJP sources and others, to secure information on corruption indulged in by BJP office-bearers", according to an associate of the group. The source added that the Delhi result showed that "the BJP is as vulnerable as Congress on the issue of corruption". In such a context, he saw "much merit" in the Aam Aadmi Party's contention that there was no difference between BJP and Congress on the corruption issue. He revealed that in Delhi "a whispering campaign was set loose (with information supplied by a BJP faction) reminding voters that (BJP chief ministerial nominee till the month before polling) Vijay Goel had been removed from the Vajpayee Council of Ministers (allegedly) because of doubts over his conduct". He added that "we have evidence that the facts relating to Goel were well known to Rajnath Singh" but that the BJP president as well as his predecessor Nitin Gadkari "were backing Goel 100%". A month before the polls, BJP Prime Ministerial nominee Narendra Modi intervened to replace Goel with Harsh Vardhan, but this was "too late as voter preferences had hardened".

A "number cruncher" for the secret Strategy Group claimed that "as many as 16 BJP tickets were given on the basis of extraneous considerations, including family ties to senior leaders as well as the giving of consideration for securing a ticket". "All but one of such candidates lost, thereby keeping the BJP from getting the four-state sweep that Narendra Modi was aiming at," he said.

These sources claimed that "in the case of several poor choices for candidates in Delhi, the local cadre was less than enthusiastic about ensuring their victory, so that nearly two dozen seats were lost by small margins".

BJP office-bearers have denied that any ticket was given on "extraneous considerations", and claimed that efforts were made to ensure "a balanced and principled list of candidates".

"We lost a tactical battle, in Delhi, but have paved the way for a strategic victory in 2014 (by keeping the BJP out of government at the Centre)," the Congress strategist claimed. He added that "the BJP is vulnerable on the issue of corruption in several states, and we will ensure that these facts become known to the voter."

He pointed to both Nitin Gadkari as well as Rajnath Singh as leaders who were "approachable" and, therefore, vulnerable. "Remember how the honest Babulal Marandi was replaced on a flimsy charge by the BJP leadership as Jharkhand Chief Minister by Arjun Munda after less than two years," the associate pointed out, adding that the latter "obliged several top BJP leaders by giving concessions to their nominees". "In Himachal Pradesh, a vigilance inquiry is ongoing about transactions which took place under P.K. Dhumal, and the facts about this will soon be made public." He claimed that HP CM Virbhadra Singh was being "hounded" by the BJP "because he refused to call off the (Dhumal) probe. However, Virbhadra is no match for certain BJP leaders when it comes to managing media perceptions."

The number cruncher added that "facts are being collated on B.S. Yeddyurappa as well as on two current BJP Chief Ministers" that will "soon become public".

Aware of the anti-Congress sentiment building up across the country, the Strategy Group is working on a plan "to ensure that the BJP tally falls below 175" and to "create a negativism about Narendra Modi so that he will need to cross 220 seats to come as PM. If the BJP tally falls below 220 but above 175, the party will have to offer a PM choice other than Modi."

The source did not respond when asked whether Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's jibe at the Gujarat CM was part of this strategy of seeking to de-legitimise Modi. "The best case scenario is a repeat of 2004, where we (the Congress) can head a government supported by the Left and regional parties wary of the BJP", while the "default position is a Third Front government backed by the Congress Party from outside", and which may include the Left parties.

"The intention is to keep Modi out of 7 Race Course Road" and the path to this, according to these sources, is "to bring out more and more facts about corruption by BJP office-bearers, so that the huge anti-corruption vote in the cities moves away from Modi".

The strategist added that "soon after Rahul Gandhi is announced as Prime Ministerial candidate, the guns will start blazing", in that charge after charge against BJP leaders will get levelled "not only by the Congress party but by activist groups and others to whom information is being supplied".
I wonder whether "Lokpals" would be used for targeting.

All this talk of one or two regions having a bigger say over the political matters, based on historic reasons, is very odd considering India has a democratic setup now. All the regions and there by states ought to be treated equally. The parliamentary seats is influenced by the population. I have heard people remarking how only UP and Bihar constitute the core India....and the rest are all periphery and were very dismissive about the other regions. I hope BRF does lean towards such sentiments.

UP is politically important because of the number of seats, not because of its history or its people. We should not build aura on any one region and construe messianic/divine/destined/historical reasons for the ascendancy of any one region.

The best way for the ISI to thwart Modi would be to physically eliminate him. But given the security detail and the implications, it may not be a wise thing. Yet a way to block Modi will be very high and AAP is a valid tool. Already a lot of money would have been channeled to get minority votes to AAP and it will only increase. And with AAP it does not matter who becomes PM. It could be Prashant Bhushan or Yogendra Yadav or the obnoxious Kumar Vishwas. The damage to Indian strategic security would not be lessened. Kashmir would have it's best chance in 70 years to leave the union. So what can ISI really do to make sure AAP gets up there in 2014? IMO looking at the way AK is fooling around with security, it would be easiest to get rid of him than get rid of Modi. And what better way to use 'Hindutva' assets. His security must be beefed up whatever he says. Bungalows must be allotted that provide good security. This natak of his may be very dangerous for India. Arvind Kejriwal may be in the cross hairs for assassination for the ISI to create that sympathy wave for the AAP. He would be the easiest target. Our security establishment should take note. Meanwhile the Hindutva type organizations should also keep an eye on plants or those that can be bought off for money. RAW/ IB should start monitoring anti-Dawood gangs that have large number of Hindu's for money flows and curtail their operations. Our strategic security may be in jeopardy with the removal of some top AAP members.

Got this in email from Namo India team

Chai Par Charcha

Hi,

You will be mostly aware about our own initiative ‘Chai Par Charcha’. Upon a lot of requests, we have decided to shift the event to 23rd January, the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
(If you are not able to participate in this event, inform us via mail. If you have already filled this form, ignore this mail)

Just to brief you about the event, it will be live interactive session of Mr. Modi with grassroots people, organised at a local tea stall in your city, where Mr. Modi will address the gathering on the tea-stall via a webcast. The event will also see the launch of your city level facebook page, which shall further act as a platform for a two-way communication with Mr. Modi and for bringing out local issues and solutions, some of them will then go towards the Manifesto for 2014. This shall happen across 500+ locations in India, simultaneously. It's a unique concept and it's sure to make a substantial impact on elections.
Here are the few tasks you have to do -
1.Find out at least 3 Tea stalls who agree to host the event. It won’t be a lot of problem, as it’s a informal event and the Tea Vendor will also be happy to do it.
2.Fill this form : http://withnamoforindia.in/chaiparcharcha/ by 5th Jan, 11:00 PM and please do this on top priority
3.We would need a Projector, Projector Screen, a laptop, 3G Dongle/Datacard, small speakers to organise the event. While we expect our volunteers to arrange for laptop and dongle by their own, you also need to find the rent of Projector and speakers and we will circulate a form later, where you can enter the expected budget needed for the event and we will provide you that.
4.The most important part is getting more volunteers for this initiative. We want to hold this session at more than 2-3 locations in each city/town. So, more the volunteers, the better the event.
This is what you need to talk to the tea-stall vendor:
"Shri Narendra Modi wants to organize an event, where he will address a gathering via internet and he wants to do it at your tea-stall. We shall make all the arrangements.
His benefits:
a) There will be 50-200 people gathered there during the event, we shall buy tea for all of them from him, so he will get sales.
b) His stall will get massive publicity, the local media will cover the event, his stall will be the talk of the town for years to come and he can officially brand the stall as "NaMo India tea stall" if he wishes.
c) Mr. Modi will thank him for his support during the address

Outcomes out of your conversation with each tea stall:
1) See if they are willing to organize, if they are, get their complete address (with nearby Landmark - nearby popular place of the city)
2) Get their name and phone number
3) If you have a camera phone, take their photo with it
Send their photograph to the email id: chaiparcharcha@gmail.com with the subject of City_Your Name_Photo e.g. Allahabad_Rajesh_Photo

This task it very critical and highly essential for the success of the event and we are looking forward to your full support in doing this. If it becomes a success we will be doing this every 15 days and will help us extend our reach to the grassroots level, where Mr. Modi wants to go but it’s difficult for him, due to security reasons.
Let us gear up for 2014 elections!!

Ballot ground Uttar Pradesh: Modi, the chaiwala, the Hindutva poster boy, the agent of progress - the author traces the many faces of the BJP's prime ministerial aspirant as he woos Uttar Pradesh
A rectangular field a few acres wide is chock-a-block with people. It is the fifth rally of Narendra Modi, chief minister of Gujarat and the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) prime-ministerial candidate, in Uttar Pradesh (UP). All roads to the venue are gridlocked. People have come out on rooftops to see the spectacle. Not a soul more can be accommodated in the maidan
These are men of modest means: landless and poor. Their white kurtas and pajamas are frayed and dirty. Their leather sandals are worn out and their heads are uncovered. The men belong to the Kol tribe and have sacrificed a day's earnings to travel 90 kilometres from their village to come here. All their lives they have voted for the Congress. And now they are bitter. "What did the Congress give us?" asks Mema Lal, 45, who laments the lack of jobs. Ganesh, 40, has heard of "development" in Gujarat from his villagers who went there. "If he (Modi) wins, I would want him to just ensure that water is available in our village for farming." These men have been won over by BJP as a part of the strategy to get tribes on its side. The party's recent wins in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan - states with large tribal populations - suggest the strategy may have begun to work. The image of Modi in their mind is of one who can create jobs and facilitate development.
By projecting himself this way, Modi is trying to reach out to a cross-section of voters, the majority of whom say they will vote Modi and not BJP. In UP, the man is bigger than his party.
The conversation in the train turns to Modi. "Has any government ever brought down prices?" asks the most vocal of four middle-aged men with red cards that say North Central Railway Men's Union stuck on their shirts. "Even Modi cannot bring prices down." The other passengers agree but add that Modi will stop prices from rising any further.
He will vote for Modi in the general elections and BSP in the state elections. "If instead of Modi, (Lal Krishna) Advani was BJP's candidate, I would have voted for the Aam Aadmi Party."
Disaffection amongst Hindus also runs high against SP, thanks to its Hamari Beti Uska Kal scheme to give Rs 30,000 to all girls of the economically backward sections of the minority community who pass Class X. Modi, they feel, will stop such appeasement.

On the face of it, this artha kranthi idea seems flawed. Too much power into the hands of banks and Govt. I think ideas that strengthen the aam aadhmi should be followed. Ideas that take away power from the aam aadhmi and put it in the hands of few people is not good in the long run.

Also, if there is a tax levied on every transaction, I think it will be more than what people are paying for taxes right now. So, for people, it will be a net loss. It also encourages hoarding.

I confess that I haven't gone into full details about Artha Kranthi. Also the idea of inheritance tax(Mehta saar seems to be suggesting this) seems another attempt to fleece the people by sarkaar. Frankly, I think all sarkaar has no business levying all these indirect taxes on every service. One direct tax should be enough. Levying taxes on every issue is simply fleecing the people. Utlimately, Govt is there for people, people are not there for Govt. Govt's job is to make people's lives better.

I can't understand why a simple 1/6th of earnings cannot be used as direct tax and eliminate all indirect taxes like property tax(which essentially questions the ownership), VAT, sales tax, ...etc. The only other tax that can be used is import tax. And this import tax should be used to strengthen the local products and industries.

The need of the hour is to use technology to keep real time monitoring on various points. For example, if there is a real time monitoring in all godowns in Bhaarath, then there won't be food wastage and it can be directed easily to where there is a need. Similarly, real time technological monitoring on check posts can eliminate illegal transportation and decrease corruption(thereby increase revenue). Technology should be used to monitor in real time which would allow reduction in wastage, leakage, inefficiency and corruption. This will increase the revenues.

And people should be allowed to pay their taxes not only in currency but in other goods/services as well. For example, a potter could give certain pots to the Govt. or a farmer could give certain amount of crops to the Govt. This will also help the people. Even in tax collection, leakages, wastages, inefficiency and corruption has to be removed. This will enhance revenues. Too many tax exemptions are given to filthy rich, which should be curbed. Tax exemptions should be given to new entrepreneurs from humble backgrounds and also to research and development areas. Education sector and agriculture sector needs lot of reforms. It should be made easier for people to invest in education sector. A few schools/colleges fleecing people with exorbitant fees or forced 'donations' should be ended. Some kind of university for teachers needs to be setup. Agriculture is the backbone of any society. Mixing technology with age old tried and tested techniques will give rich yields for farmers. Organic agriculture with less use of chemical pesticides will be good for health(which in turn means less expenses on medicines) of citizens. For this, farmers need to be educated. If godowns, roads, ports, railways, experts, technology, ancient bhaarathiya knowledge is linked to the farmer, it will give great benefits to the country. And of course, the country has to invest in manufacture. Any country that keeps importing cannot be independent in real terms. Foreign countries should be encouraged to setup with local partnership and also foreign experts should be encouraged to come and impart their technical knowhow to bhaarathiyas. Many NRIs, PIOs, ...etc will also gladly take such kind of jobs if bhaarath sarkaar has favourable policy. All the bhaarathiyas abroad(whether first gen or second gen or any gen) are friends and need to be made into partners in development of bhaarath.

All this will help the economy and create jobs and revenue.

Atri saar,
Malladi Chandrashekara Shasthri, a certain scholar who was once appointed as official scholar of Shrungeri, is of the view that Paanchaala refers to Punjab area. 'cha' can become 'ja' in vyanjan sandhi according to Sanskruth grammar/vyakarna. Link

If you want, we can discuss this in Epics thread. :)
