It is actually ok if he gets BRD goes to the big house. His going to jail will assuage any ill will that he generated and will also get the matter to a close, NDA/BJP has to just stay quiet. However even better would be the backlash generated amongst his followers regarding the arrest especially for the upcoming 9 seats of HP and UK. His Patanjali Peeth has good numbers of boots on the ground in these states. Regarding the battleground of UP and Bihar tough phases for NDA are more or less over, so worry less work more. A strong field level mobilization and tactical micro management of seats is needed. Thankfully no high falutin diktats from Delhi a la Punjab are there.

Will have an effect. Ramdev should have been more circumspect in his speech. Even the Gita advises this. In an election where every vote counts this was something that was not needed. On the contrary actually filing the case assuages some of the anger and some of the damage can be controlled. BTW the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act is draconian in the sense that there is no concept of anticipatory bail. BR will have to be arrested and will then have to apply for regular bail.

Does anyone feel that BR comment will be taken as an insult by Dalits? Or is the worry that the message will be distorted to make Dalits feel victimized?

Exactly! He should go the big house and NOT APPLY for bail till 8-9th May, he gets to be a victim of INC :(( and also at the same time becomes a non-issue once inside :P .

The answer to this cannot be attempted in a short paragraph but I will give it a try. BRD's comment can be used to exploit the traditional Yadav-Jatav chasm that exists in the battleground of UP. However for that to happen there are a number of factors at play that need to be neutralized by the opponents of the NDA. First, the field force of BRD is already working on explaining their guru to the masses. Secondly, UP-Bihar are propping the BJP boat on the base of a massive OBC-MBC-EBC break in their favor owing in part to Modi's OBC status, a polarisation of SC Vs OBC may become zero sum game for UPA/UPA stooges if attempted in earnest as an increasing number of OBCs may counter polarize, since Mulayam MY belt is more of less over in the upcoming phases.

As a very old worker said to me "during election time, if you are unsure of something, just keep campaigning like crazy and reach out like raita fallen from a cup".

With the retards pushing in the CVB, Islamization of India will happen with rapidity. We will positively have Sharia by 2040 if NM loses this time. So a massive effort is required from all those who want NM. This is the fight for our destiny, even 47 wasn't so much as this one is. Brits even if they stayed a decade more would have been better than Nehru. They'd have fought off Chinese aggression in Tibet for sure is my take. Tibet would have been a protectorate under India is more likely. This coconut (brown outside and white inside) rule last 65 years is worse.

No matter how many MPs Modi gets, he should form the Govt. Use the 18 months for rapid governance and economic reforms, some quick fixes on development front, especially road building, cleansing the system of Congis as much as possible, especially the ECI, and then go for new elections!

In the mean time he can expand his presence in Tamil Nadu, Odisha, West Bengal, Karnataka and Telangana.

One can really pity the mental blindness of Hindus who vote for SP even after this. This is worse than Mughal rule but if Yadavas are OK with getting their women teased and raped by Muslims as long as "one of our caste" is ruling UP, I would say, they deserve what they are getting.

Til ka taad hai aur kuch nahin. NaMo campaign has been so successful that nobody is left with nothing to do. Hence everybody wants to 'feel' this or that about this or that.

This is what Udit Raj said about BR's comment -
"The meaning of the word and the intention behind its usage should be viewed in the right context. Ramdev is not of those kind that he would use such words in a bad context. His intention towards Dalits is not wrong," he said.

He said by merely eating or sleeping in the houses of Dalits does not change their lives as projected by Gandhi.

"Why does Rahul Gandhi not invite Dalits to his own house," he said, questioning why Congress has not been able to uplift Dalits despite being in power for so long in India.

On the FIR against Ramdev, Udit Raj, who is BJP candidate from North West Delhi, claimed Congress is unnerved at the fact that Dalits were supporting BJP.

when the time for the downfall of the Yadava clan came, they became arrogant and pleasure seeking. Krishna and Balarama kept quiet because they knew what was fated.

one day a group of rishis came in for a meal and they played a bad joke on the rishis. dressing up a man as a pregnant woman they asked the rishis to predict if the child would be boy or girl. seeing through this the rishis cursed the man would give birth to something that would lead to their downfall and not human.

the very next the man after acute labour pain delivered a metal mace!

they panicked and threw it into the sea where it dissolved into grains and washed ashore on a beach, where they grew into tufts of grass.

one day after a beach party the yadava leaders started argueing and fighting among themselves...satyaki and kritavarma who had fought on opposite sides each made fun of the deeds of the other that broke the rules of war. a brawl soon started and people picked up rocks and sticks. those who picked up the grass tufts saw it turn magically into maces and used that to hammer their foes.

krishna too sensing the end was near picked up a mace and started hammering.

Balarama saw this and sat down in penance, dissolving into a beam of bright light that melted into the sea.

after all were dead, krishna wandered alone into the forest and waited for the fated end and thats when the hunter shot an arrow into his foot.

RamaY wrote:I wonder if Modi going aggressive against JJ and MB is an indication of reaching near 272 or a desperate act to get as many as possible above 200...

I think it is the former because Modi has no incentive to strengthen DMK/Congress or CPI/Congress alliance by splitting anti termite votes.
Moi thoughts too, only May 16th can tell for certain. It is tough to read from the rhetoric. If you watch the Congress and MSM aggression one would think similarly for Congress. Is Congress trying to get past 100, or does it see a chance to get to 140. Modi's team have to decided to move their King straight to the center of the board. Is it a trap or is it suicidal?

What is clear is that, Modi's team realizes they have enough troops on their side. Their siege of the fort is over, their scouting and attacks on the fort walls are over. It is time to barge into the fort and head straight to the palace. That is what is happening, and by doing so they are going to invite the elite troopers of the opposition. And Modi is riding the lead horse, with million soldiers. Unfortunately , baring Amit and a few blossoming young leaders, there are no other generals on his side. They are either too old, lack confidence & motivation, incompetent, clueless or sold out.

On May 16th, he ALONE will enter the King's chambers. Who will come out?

Uttarakhand in 2012 Assembly elections had somewhat favoured Congress in Hill areas and BJP was stronger in the plains of Uttarakhand.

This time it seems the Hill regions would go for the BJP. Now which part is this input of voter list deletion coming from.

Just get one rally with Khanduri to say that he will open up teacher's vacancies at primary & secondary level and put special focus on betterment of little kids left behind in this money order economy. Also declare some scheme for cement roads for villages in the hills from the nearest tarmacked road. Seed this information through some nukkad sabhas etc. in the East Delhi & Govt. colonies in Delhi and Lucknow region where Pahadis have good numbers. They will surely call on folks back home to vote for BJP.

Uttarakhand will vote on May 7, so still some time left.

I have factored that in. But to be fair, congress plays these games in states where it rules and BJP does the same in states ruled by them. Let us have president's rule in Chhattisgarh for 1 year and then have elections, let me see if BJP can win after that, i very much doubt.

Final results of 2009: UPA 262, NDA 159, 3rd Front 79. Could be because NDA allies were well known and UPA allies accumulated as the election in 2009 went on.

Yes sir, so overall while most exit polls got UPA close to 200, they overestimated NDA and CSDS was the only one to get NDA right. But exit polls are easier than prepolls. I had posted csds prepolls in 2009 also, they did well on that too.

What the devil! ED: Saradha's Sudipto Sen bought Mamata's paintings for Rs 3cr in wife Piyali's a/c http://www.mumbaimirror.com/news/india/ ... 068458.cms
The Calcutta High Court on Monday ordered the West Bengal government to repay investors affected by the Saradha chit fund scam.

In addition, the enforcement directorate (ED) has started investigating the role of TMC ministers in the multi-crore scam.

Sources in the ED said that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who is also an artist, sold two of her paintings to Saradha CEO Sudipta Sen for Rs 3 crore.

"The transactions were made from the account of Sen's wife Piyali," the source added.

Piyali Sen and her son Subhajit were arrested last week for their alleged role in a money laundering case.
