Modi has again managed to create a media event early on an election day and as expected CON cribbing. But do they not realize that by cribbing they are only going to keep focus on event the whole day?

I was really afraid about Amritsar, But i will have to thank AAP for taking major chunk of the Anti SAD votes. Mr. Parveen Patil seems to be confidant that Arun Jaitly will be new MP from my constituency.

Niranji,
Is this overall tally for WB or till today?
Because Krishnanagar, Dum Dum (BJP had these 2 earlier), North Kolkata, Asansol(very probable) and Barasat (fighting chance) are yet to go to polls.

We are heading for a historical verdict.

Voting pattern and current trend of higher voting percentage indicates tectonic shift /underground upheaval that is taking place in Indian Electorate. Caste equations are blown to smithereens. Decimation of Congis is absolutely certain . The only question is the margin of defeat in each seat and number of seats that BJP would get beyond 300. NDA+ is already past the post.

MB might get more than expected drubbing in WB. Punjab isn't going well for Butchers of 1984. Doubting Thomases for Bihar and UP should rest their doubt. It is going to be Historical.

Historic verdict it shall be, then. Historical lens may be a tad premature perhaps... but we are seeing history being made in real time.

This is like the US civil war, folks who lived through it knew they were in something historic. We're also witnessing a civilized civil war (by ballot, not musket and bullet, thankfully). Our Abe lincoln too has a beard and all, rose from humble origins and all, has hunted and slain bloodsuckin' vampires (within the media and outside it) and all...

I just hope and pray he avoids going to theater plays, though... only.

EVM issue is the most confusing one, most BJP people, RSS are very skeptical of any EVM magic and reject it out of hand as a CT.

But Sh. Subramanian Swamy is an absolute believer in EVM magic, even Advani ji had supported that activist (forgot his name) against EVMs.

Why not, he is the best BJP candidate in fray both as a person and as a politician! But Bajwa is also fighting a hard battle, AAP getting a higher vote percentage can lead to uncertain outcomes. Pray to lord that they cut INC more than BJP. On personal side, got 60+ to go lotus :)

Punjab numbers are dangerous ones here. While calculating vote shares, pollsters such as 5forty3 may like to believe that vote split for the total of AAP votes will be 30:70 NDA:INC. However there is no indication available as to who is being dented more by AAP. A 9 NDA, 2 AAP, 1 INC line could easily revert to 9 INC, 2 AAP and 1 NDA. Depending upon who was split more!!!

Don't go by overall percentages as very high percentages are reported from Vadodra. We need to see seat by seat percentages. One thing Modi has to do is to stop this summer polls. The mercury touched 118 in some locations of Gujarat which is humanly unbearable.

I thought as much...there are usually two peaks for polling .....early morning and two hours before close. If the final tally goes past 60% overall, then I think it will be a positive super bonus for the BJP.

You need to show him the video of Ashwini Updhayay, founder member and ex-National Executive Council Member of AAP, who mentioned that it was common for "Wanted Naxals" from Chhattisgarh and "Kashmiri Separatists" to visit AAP office

I wonder if this EC directive to nail Modi can be used to nail the EC and more specifically the CEC instead for all the partisanship shown? That storify is very interesting indeed. EC will be crazy to pursue this matter but then nothing is beneath them.
