I guess we can stop all the analysis: Congress will be back in 2014 with UPA3

Proof: The fact that Sonia Stooge Sampath has not even issued a notice to Rahul Gandhi for blatant violation of election rules (by rules, he should have been disqualified, forget a notice) and entering a booth where he is not a voter and standing next to the EVM machine is proof enough that, EC/Sonia/Sampath know that UPA3 is in order. They can only know that in 2 ways

1. IB has given then reports on the past 7 phases and said that Cong is doing well, (this option is ruled out)

2. They knew all the way that Voter rolls, EVM rigging, booth capturing and finally exchanging evm machines that have been stored for counting with fake ones will help Cong win.

The 2nd looks like a distinct probability. Look at the EC, they send notice to BJP leaders at the drop of a hat and they spared sonia for her communal appeal to voters, spared Rahul Gandhi for this blatant violation and they gave the worst excuses for the MH voter roll fiasco.

A govt agency will do all this only if they are sure that there will be no change in the ruling guard. Because if Namo comes to power, a panel can be setup and this whole EC cabal can be impeached and jailed.

I have given up, UPA3 is coming guys.

look it is very tough to fire or impeach a govt peon let alone a CEC who would be very senior.

how many bureaucrats have you seen being fired. at most I have seen being given useless postings or suspended worst case.

people who wanted to make money have made money. now they can easily go on long leave, study leave, or early retirement and join some think tank or take rest. they have nothing to fear from any govt change.

One more thing secular votte cannot cross 55%, don't be fooled by the Burkha clad women shown on TV, in some of fundamentalist areas of UP, women from minority are not allowed to vote, talk on cellphones etc.

Sampath might well end up in jail for Coalgate. If he was not involved then Sonia would have given permission for his questioning by CBI. So, for survival, it makes sense to do everything possible against the NDA, irrespective of what the outcome seems to be like. If intentional, then he was very wisely chosen, else good bit of luck for Congress.

from what I had seen of this guy from his shows and poetry etc looked like a pro NaMo guy. He took the wrong bus to enter politics. He would have gone much further if he was in NaMo's team. A late entry from AAP to BJP as rumoured will not do him any good now.

Murali ji, i wouldn't be that definitive. The institutions from which people like Sampath came up have been promoting up the ladder those that tend not to question the ruling establishment, not to ask questions and quietly do the bidding of the powers that be. A lot of brilliant doers in such a system are unable to make it to the top. That is the Institutional legacy of the Nehruvian left pseudo liberal setup. So this knee jerk attitude to a challenger albeit a Narendra Modi is to be expected of such mandarins. Look at MMS, he's not a bright dude, not a doer, not an achiever but he's made it far for his talents and abilities.
