The announcement will come on 1st June or so , it does not matter. New Govt will have to make announcement. In any case the proposed name seems to be quite qualified for the post.

The Muftis may have decided to support Kejriwal, but they may not be motivated enough to go about rounding up people and taking them to the booths.

The competition in Varanasi is for 2nd and 3rd position. Mukhtar Ansari had offered his support to Ajay Rai of Congress. Now Muftis saying lets support Kejriwal. Obviously the Muslims are torn between whom to support for 2nd or 3rd position. Seeing this dilemma, which Muslim in Varanasi is really going to go and make an effort to go and vote?

How does it affect the Muslims who comes 2nd or 3rd, and whether any of them get to save their deposit? So I expect the Muslims to sit this one out.

Yes the Shias and the Ansari weavers would be going out to vote for NaMo!

Muslims voting 22% in favour of NaMo is a good sign.(Source 543). He will create record victory margin , I hope. APP member Rajesh Rishi is reportedly arrested for distributing money to Voters. (source IBN7)

If there a disappointment that needs to be searched in exit poll numbers, then it is BJP not reaching 272 on its own.

Can it be considered a campaign speech if he is not asking for people's votes or telling them to go and vote for BJP? All NaMo is doing is asking voters to go out and vote!

@IndraD, bjp tripling voteshare in WB (at a minimum) is enough proof of a pro NDA wave.

I am not sure of the assam numbers, AGP should be higher and cong bjp very close IMO.

15% is the numbers people are willing to admit that they've voted lotus in spite of TMC goondas loitering around. The numbers will be much higher, let the EC publish data.

And yes, I think the next assembly election lotus may bloom under heavy kendra sarkar bandobast.

if they claim WB BJP VS is 15%, it's definitely higher since people would hide their real sympathies.

Turnout is higher this time then it was in 2009.

VNS was 42% in 2009. On an average there is 5 to10% increase in voter turnout constituency wise and state average.

WB is higher because it is do or die for Didi. BJP is not a major player and anything gained there plus voteshare is bonus for them.
Whole of Naarth , Central and western India is saffron. I doubt PB would vote for INC. HR will slip out of congis later in Assembly election as well. HP and UK, well few bjp candidates are supposed to lose. NE would have some surprises. BJP will open its account there. To be reinforced in 2019. Asm is polarised due to riots since 2012. AGP is a spent force with nominal cadre in their early oldage.
Congis have hope from there as well as Telangana and Kar, KL. Add up and see how much they would get. Despite doomsayrs , now, TN will see BJP and its alliance giving tough fight and get few seats in triangular contests mostly. It is liquor , money and kak biryani that TN voters relish. But this time NaMo effect would be there to see, not to be counted in BJP's overall tally though, and will pose serious challenge in 2019 to dravid based parties if AShah plays Gujju trick there.

We have to see if Congis are confined to 50-70 or 70-90 or 90-110 band. I think it is second band and will pose challenge to RaGa leadership in future.
