Statewide and National runup to 2014 General elections

Kejriwal's "toothache" will be permanent if he loses his deposit!
Re: Statewide and National runup to 2014 General elections
I had a look at Times Now late in the night thinking halla gulla by Arnab would have died down a bit. Hell no, the guy was discussing if this victory means BJP is confined to hindi belt as its primary support base. He he.
Re: Statewide and National runup to 2014 General elections
I lost all respect for that loud motormouth during the course of these elections. He thinks too much of himself & is a sell out, albeit wrapped in "patriotic colors" because his peers are 10x worse. Thats about the only thing preventing him from being exposed.

MSM provides a VERY IMPORTANT role. Listen carefully to what they are saying, and do exactly 180* opposite. No fresh thinking is needed from PIF end at all. They do all your thinking for you, in reverse.

For information of Members Election results and trends will be available on ECI website on 16th
http://eciresults.nic.in
This will give you first hand info and realtime result dissemination will happen from Gnensys software which collects data from all counting centres and displays the results to this website. Of course there would be lot more info on genesys but that is not open to public.

Seems like the plan is to sell it as an anti-incumbency vote instead of a Modi wave. Already read 2-3 articles in the western journos where they had some random Indian "expert" claiming it as such.
Re: Statewide and National runup to 2014 General elections
Who the f.. cares? I and many others care two hoots for the western experts and their predilections. Speaking of which there is one particularly odious idiot called Richard Thane on twitter, busy attacking Modi and supporting AAP. These idiots never understand India, are not Indians or from its native culture, but seek to declare to us what we should be doing.

Government drags feet on one-rank-one-pension, war veterans upset - http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/home ... 040462.cms …
CHANDIGARH: The eight lakh-odd ex-servicemen of Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh have gone from joyous celebration to angry resentment in just two-and-a-half months, thanks to the UPA government not keeping its word on the one-rank-one-pension (OROP) scheme.
The government had promised to get OROP off the ground on April 1, just before elections were announced with an initial allocation of Rs 500 crore to meet the needs till July. More than a month later, there is no sign of it in the bank accounts of ex-servicemen, which has led them to question the government's intentions.

Yes this has been my strategy since long to come up with preliminary inferences on most issues .
Just track what usual suspects(Sekhar Dupatta,NRam,Varadarajan,Smita Gupta,Vinod Mehta,Dreze...etc etc) in Al-Chindu,TOIlet,nonIndianexpress,Outlook etc are peddling and begin with preliminary inferences on opposite lines.
However , initial background idea and subsequent (internet)research is still required.

no issues with the man, but at 81 I hope his health holds up.
finally a RM who would not see IR as a place to create jobs in his pet constituency and skim off contracts.
if at all Namo is serious about the long haul freight corridors and the new HSR systems...we need someone like him.
and why not bring back Khandury as the minister for roads to revive the sluggish NHDP projects and put in place some proper long haul expways like the proposed BLR-MAS via Kolar and other high density corridors. 1% GDP growth locked up there.
every area needs a strong can-do person, UPA2 sat on its behind for 10 yrs with the sickular circus monkeys.
likewise industry and environment ministry should be merged so that all clearances come from inhouse and roadblocks can be cleared. a big can-do guy is needed there to unblock the numerous mega projects the combo of jayanathi maam and rameshji held up with NAC blessings. thats 1% annual GDP growth blocked like that.
these will drive demand for labour, cement, steel, commercial transport, mines....

Re: Statewide and National runup to 2014 General elections
Delhi Assembly should be dissolved and new polls around. Each and Every AAPTurd must be comprehensively defeated. No need to take support for some of the AAPturds to form govt.
In this euphoria, BJP can easily sweep Delhi and form govt by BJP MLA's. Let AAP and its masters suffer the wrath of Aam Aadmi in whose name they have created chaos.
People liek Somnath Bharti and Prashant Bhushan should be made to spend rest of their lives outside Tis Hazari court fighting their cases.

This will be repeat of state elections, but a lot more terribly devastating for congie

I think first split the AAP and BJP forms the govt. Once AAP has been made a spent force, call snap election!VikasRaina wrote:Delhi Assembly should be dissolved and new polls around. Re: Statewide and National runup to 2014 General elections
^^^ Now we know why all exit polls are going haywire since 2004 elections when EVMs were introduced , and why BJP keeps getting "shock defeats" that defy expectations of people as well as psephologists. From Navin Chawla to Sampat, all CEC are Cong stooges. Subverting the electoral mandate through fraud is high treason, and quick trials and suitable punishment must follow for whoever is involved.
Re: Statewide and National runup to 2014 General elections
first admin order if regime change happens is to do away with EVM and move back to paper ballots imo. its hard to stuff or forge ballots on a mass scale vs electrically hacking EVMs which a commercial scale op can do tens of machines per hour like the CD/DVD copiers use PCs with 5 disk drives to do in parallel.

New Delhi: A standing ovation and emotional farewells greeted Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on his last day at work after 10 years in office. Later today, he will chair the last meeting of his cabinet's economic panel as he prepares to demit office on Saturday, a day after the national election verdict.
To his staff at South Block, his office of 10 years, Dr Singh said, "You served the nation well. God bless you."
Among his final acts in office, he is expected to sign off on the new Army Chief, likely to be announced today despite objections from the BJP.
Dr Singh, 81, had announced earlier this year that he would not seek a third term even if the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance won this time.
Most exit polls after the national election show that the BJP and its allies, led by Narendra Modi, are set for a parliamentary majority. (read: Modi, BJP on Course for Election Victory, Exit Polls Show)
The prime minister, sources say, has been preparing for his exit for weeks. "His predecessor, Atal Behari Vajpayee, never got the time for long farewells as the BJP had not expected to lose in 2004," said an aide.
Dr Singh will host a farewell for his officers at his residence, 7, Race Course Road, a sprawling bungalow complex that he will vacate on Thursday, a day before the results.
Tomorrow, Congress president Sonia Gandhi will host a farewell dinner for him, where, sources say, he will be gifted a memento signed by all members of the Congress Working Committee, the party's top decision-making body, and union ministers.
The PM will chair his last Cabinet meeting on Saturday after which he will go and meet President Pranab Mukherjee. He is also likely to address the nation.
In a blog today, BJP leader Arun Jaitley described Dr Singh as a man whose personal integrity was always above board, but whose, "inability to speak up within his own party may compel historians to take a different view."

Re: Statewide and National runup to 2014 General elections
I think this area needs some innovation. Even paper ballot is not fool proof. We have people printing currency for crying out loud!Singha wrote:first admin order if regime change happens is to do away with EVM and move back to paper ballots imo. its hard to stuff or forge ballots on a mass scale vs electrically hacking EVMs which a commercial scale op can do tens of machines per hour like the CD/DVD copiers use PCs with 5 disk drives to do in parallel.
I think the product requirement needs to be captured for innovating a fool proof solution.
It has to be
Single use
tamper proof
cheap to be able to deploy almost a billion
easy to transport
Unique receipt
easy to count
etc..
