one very interesting snippet from WB results.

BJP got a lead from bhowanipore A/C, which comes under kolkata south.
the remarkable bit is this, the sitting MLA from the place, which also contains her ancestral home is one Mamata Banerjee.

I was reading about the details of Babul Supriyo's victory in Asansol seat. The local Bong daily has given a very interesting account.
(1) the original idea of fielding of Babul came from Baba Ramdev about a year ago.....He gave the suggestion to a central BJP leader.
(2) The above said leader immediately got in touc with WB State leadership which agreed immediately.
(3) Then the matter was handed over to RSS for smooth sailing. It pulled ALL strings. RSS karyakartas from Jharkhand and Odisha were summoned in along with WB karyakartas to make sure that all gaps are plugged.
(4) keeping in mind babul's tremendous appeal to young people, and his charisma as a singer, RSS-BJP inducted 150 young wholetimers for the campaign. That included 12 minority young Karyakartas whose job was to go from mohalla to mohalla and build the base at the grass-root level......
(5) Finally, Babu's keen sense of politics, observation power to see the weak points of the opposition (TMC) left his election managers stunned.
....
It was a smooth seamless campaign which worked wonder. This has been a great team work. Hope BJP continues this for the next 2 years also till the state election takes place.

I am also getting info that Babul Supriyo got bahubalis from JH to help him and hence he survived the rigging. Anyway, next AE will be held under the watch of the Modi govt.

A closer look at the results reveal that the BJP has performed quite poorly (in terms of winning seats) in most areas they were considered to be relatively weak like WB, Odisha, TN etc. The reason they won so many seats is because of the block buster performance in their strongholds like the UP, MP, Gujarat etc. But this sort of sweep will be hard to replicate in 2019. So they better get started on their weaker states if they hope to get a majority next time too.

Looking at the results particularly in UP, Amit Shah gives all the sham reasons to the media on how he won UP. Put simply he played BSP-AAP-INC-SP to cutting the Muslim votes in every constituency while consolidating the Hindu vote through massive Modi rallies, soft Hindutva, and planks of good governance, development etc. So while BJP polled around 15-17% Muslim votes in various places, the seculars cut their vote amongst themselves. This will not happen next time on. They will fight on a consolidated platform.

A good analysis of the election results in WB is in order.

1. The fact that BJP has gotten 17% vote has surpassed all expectations. In contrast,
INC got only 8% vote, but heavily concentrated in central WB. That's why they retailed 4 seats
(compared to BJP's 2). However, BJP came very close second in another 3 seats which could have been in BJP's kitty with some little extra polling and/or no TMC rigging.

2. LF's vote share has come down to 23% from 38% (approx.). A good chunk went to BJP.
LF will keep losing blood in near future. Come the assembly election in 2016, many predict
that it'll be BJP vs. TMC fight (barring the central WB where it'll be mainly triangular contest).

3. The LF bleeding will continue because it can't deliver goods, services, opportunities to its
followers. Except 7-8% hardcore cadres the remaining will leave. Where to go? Some will join
TMC, and some who hate Mamata most will join BJP.

4. To keep her hold on power, Mamata will hold on to her 'pissful' minority voteshare, and as a result more disenchanted hindu voters will join BJP. A clear case of 'hindu vote consolidation'.

5. If Modi stays in power, creates jobs, does some other emotional favor to WB,... AND in the
next assembly election BJP manages to get a critical mass of 25 to 30% of the seats then the destruction of TMC will begin. The more bipolar situation develops the more TMC and INC will come closer,... and perhaps with an eye to minority vote-share they will merge. As such Mamata doesn't have much aversion with INC and she has maintained a very close master-slave condition with Sonia Maino. it was rumored that Mamata's sharp personal tirade against NaMo toward the last stage of election was instigated by Madam Maino.

6. To help state BJP, naMo will give a free hand to CBI to hunt and implicate all top TMC leadership which is now the worst nightmare for Mamata.

....Interesting time ahead in WB

Congratulations to Modi, the BJP and all supporters. It is a decisive mandate for him - hope and pray that he upholds the faith and trust people have put in him, more than anybody else in the last many years. Also hope that there are meaningful reforms in various spheres of governance. That is the desperate need of the hour and has the potential to put India on a good trajectory for the next couple of decades.

Few things need to be done...

1. Unleash CBI.
2. Build BJP cadre.
3. Ask RSS to expand in countryside.
4. Ask RSS to coordinate with Hindu Samhati.
5. Contest the municipal polls at all places.

These are only the overt measure, cause everything is fair in war.

Good observations. I think the scenario is highly possible. They need a CM face.
Mamata is basically a Congressi. So to survive she is more likely to align with INC. INC won in the Muslim belt (central WB).

All the pseudos and 'believers' of the world do not mind what the photo clearly demonstrates ie praying on ruins of Hindu temples is not haraam only - instead secularists seem to present it as secular example only.

Harbans ji,

The muslim vote did not split at all. The real mover is the dalit vote. Muslims did not vote for one party across the state, that does not imply that their vote split. They voted enmasse at a seat level for the party best suited to beat BJP. enmasse in indian election is never 100%, it is like 65-70%. So yes some muslim vote did split in seats like rampur, but as i said never ever will u see any community voting for a party at 100% hit rate, there will always be some split. So if 70% of rampur muslims voted for SP, i will call that en masse voting

Murali ji, several constituencies like Rampur for instance i observe BJP wins by about 30K votes, INC-SP-BSP poll in lakhs with AAP in few tens of thousands. If one of SP or INC was not fighting BJP would be down by a dozen or more seats. The IM vote has split. Also yes i do agree the Dalit vote has consolidated for BJP.

Harbans ji, ur point is well taken. I have updated my post. In fact just updated it with rampur before i saw ur post, what a coincidence.

Anyway I will put up a table of UP and Bihar soon to conclusively prove that muslims did not vote for BJP even one bit. About muslims vote splitting, more analysis is needed.
