This decrepit old bugger was feeling his oats a few days ago in a paki channel TV interview. Lashed out viciously at Modi for no reason.

Shows how the paki army sees NaMo.

Very different from MMS and his sharm el sheik deeds.

How apt. Somebody couldn't have Photoshopped it better. I wonder if this is by design but Pajamas are hanging over 'Pakistan' only. Comedy of Errors or Errors of Comedy ...

That pic is a classic. A keeper. it's no photoshop. The letters are raised off the surface of the board - possibly by pins or screws. See the garment hanging off the apex of the second "A'" in PakistAn
No, I know it is not photoshopped. I was wondering, if the pajamas hanging on 'Pakistan' was by design by the patriotic lounging Pakis or because, for a brief moment, the sun shone on 'Pakistan'

Who knows.

Are there any evidence that Nawaz Shariff was going rogue from Army's perspective on domestic or foreign policy or internal security? Dim may be a megalomaniac enough to assume PMship is within his reach but what benefit would NaPaki army get by a coup at this point? Their only fig leaf of not acting tough against bunnies or banias is the civilian govt tied their hands. Worked well in any blaming any fiasco. They can always stay Govt ordered them to stay in the barracks/corner plots and send non state actors to do the dirty work.
The choice of Tuk tuk(if there is a choice) is perplexing. Pakis have wall to wall of uglies like Hafiz Pig to rally up the masses. What good is a tuk tuk? Unless the actual fight is meant to be like this

Who benefits from this? Is the PA prodded by someone and it reluctantly goes through the motion? Or may be the whole farce has to do with mundane stuff wanting more money/land to Army and nothing to do with foreign policy/security.

On army chief's advice, govt to pursue talks with PTI, PAT again

The government on Thursday approached both Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) after Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif advised Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to give talks one more chance.

Prime minister and army chief met for the second time in three days against the backdrop of government’s lingering deadlock with PTI and PAT.
Insiders told The Express Tribune that Nawaz briefed the army chief about talks with Qadri and Imran.
According to sources, the premier told General Raheel that government had agreed to accept first two demands of PAT in return for Qadri calling off the sit-in outside the Parliament.
But an agreement could not be reached after Qadri refused to accept the government’s condition, sources said.
Sources further said the army chief advised the prime minister to give talks one more chance and after which the government decided to approach both PTI and PAT.
A senior government official claimed that the army chief conveyed a clear message to both Qadri and Imran to resolve the impasse through dialogue.
“It was agreed to take necessary measures for resumption of stalled process of negotiations for an expeditious resolution in the best national interest,” the spokesperson for the PM House added.
The crucial meeting was held hours after talks between government and Qadri broke down on Wednesday evening over the registration of First Information Report (FIR) of Model Town incident.
Following the meeting between the COAS and premier, the government agreed to accept Qadri’s demand of FIR.
The official while requesting anonymity also said the next 24 hours would be very crucial.
He also insisted that the army chief extended his support to the government :rotfl: in the face off of brewing political tensions.
However, army officials could not be reached for their reaction on the meeting between General Raheel and Nawaz Sharif.
Later, both PAT and PTI accepted army chief’s role as mediator and guarantor to end the crisis.
Nawaz Sharif and all the other political actors are just peachy bottomed mujs holding crystal cups of whiskey for the true Ghazi the chief of army staff.

Any dialog with Pakistan and peace talks and all that nonsense should recognize this reality.

Apparently "Army chief extended his support to the government" it seems. :rotfl:

Please to add "Pakistan's strong vibrant media will prevent coups" to the pakistan along with "Less than 10% vote for religious parties"

WAIT!!

This is better. COAS Raheel Sharif made 'mediator' to end political crisis
Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan announced that Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has been appointed by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as a 'mediator' and 'guarantor' for bringing the current crisis between the government and protesters to an end.
he is likely to mediate and steer all parties out of this deadlock
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain welcomed the mediation by Army Chief General Sharif, saying imminent damage to Pakistan had been averted.
PAT chief Dr Tahirul Qadri termed supporters of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and his party as first cousins. He also said that he and PTI Chairman Imran Khan were brothers.
As always, BRF's speculations were on the money.
The announcement of General Raheel Sharif's direct involvement in bringing the current political crisis to an end lends weight to widespread speculation that the military establishment had a hand to play in the events that unfolded in the capital over the last two weeks.

Nawaz Meets Army Chief
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif met with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Shareef at Prime Minister House, Islamabad, on Tuesday. The short statement released by the PM House after the meeting stated that “there was a consensus on the need to resolve the ongoing issue expeditiously in the best national interest.” We cannot be sure whether that was indeed the decision reached by the end of the meeting, but it is clear that the ongoing political crisis was in fact discussed between the two. There is a strong impression that the military has been playing a rather active role in the challenges faced by the Nawaz government in Imran Khan and Tahir-ul-Qadri. The close co-ordination between the two ‘movements’ serves to endorse the view. While the military may not be willing to directly intervene and take over as it has done repeatedly in the past, it appears to be setting the ground for a soft coup. We saw the model work, and work quite well, during the last Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) government. Behind the scenes, the military continued to call the shots on almost all issues pertaining to national security and foreign policy while the PPP government’s role had been limited to approving everything that was proposed. The ongoing political turmoil, if nothing more, is expected to achieve the same result.
The marchers were allowed to enter the Red Zone on the military’s guarantee. The buildings, including the PM House, are currently being guarded by soldiers. The statement released by the ISPR had made this much clear to the participants of the sit-ins, and had ‘advised’ all “stakeholders” to resolve the issue peacefully. Look at the broader picture, and you will find that not Nawaz, not Qadri and not even Imran, hold the ultimate power to decide the fate of these ‘movements’. . Key international players, such as the US and the UK, have also issued statements in support of democracy, which is euphemism for Nawaz Sharif in this case. That being said, is there a button which turns it all off? Will Nawaz Sharif surrender his mandate for political survival?

Pakistan Army Chief Intervenes in Political Crisis
Pakistan's powerful army chief intervened publicly in the country's political crisis late Thursday, agreeing to mediate between the government of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and protesters demanding his resignation, government and military officials said.

The move follows a backroom political deal that government officials privately said ceded important powers over defense and foreign policy from the government to the military.

Gen. Raheel Sharif will act as guarantor of a deal between the protesters and the government, protest leaders said. The military confirmed that Gen. Sharif—who is unrelated to the prime minister—met late Thursday with the two protest chiefs, sportsman-turned-politician Imran Khan and Muslim cleric Tahir ul Qadri. Several thousand of their followers have been in the streets of Islamabad since Aug. 15, calling for Mr. Sharif's ouster.

Government aides said the military had already used the pressure of the protests to force the administration in the last few days to give up control of foreign policy and security affairs, traditional domains of the armed forces in which they saw Mr. Sharif taking independent stances. Analysts described the government's ceding of control of key policy areas as a "soft coup" staged by the military.

One adviser to the military said that the armed forces eventually concluded that Mr. Sharif was a "national security risk" and had to be ousted. But in the recent standoff, security and government officials said, the military appeared to have chosen a softer option of curtailing Mr. Sharif's powers.
The "uninterrupted and uninterruptible talks" and "we should support democracy in Pakistan" brigade will never see the light.

TuQ TuQ promises 'Dama dam mast qalandar' if demands not met by today. I swear I am not making this up. New fistula today!
Dr Tahirul Qadri once again warned of 'dama dam mast qalandar' if its demands over the Model Town Fist Information Report (FIR) and resignation of Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif were not met by today.
Qadri said that no member of the Sharif family or any accused in the Model Town case would be allowed to become the prime minister after Nawaz Sharif resigned.
Earlier on Thursday night Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri and PTI Chairman Imran Khan had announced they had given the prime minister 24 hours leeway upon General Sharif’s assurances.

Muslims react with outrage at UK sex abuse report

ROTHERHAM: Members of Britain's Pakistani community reacted with outrage Wednesday amid reports that officials failed to act on sex abuse cases because of concerns about racism in the northern English town of Rotherham.

Muhbeen Hussain, founder of Rotherham Muslim Youth Group, told the Daily Mirror on Wednesday that Muslims are disgusted that justice was not done – leading to some 1,400 children being sexually exploited over a 16-year period, mostly by Pakistani men.

“Race, religion or political correctness should never provide a cloak of invisibility to such grotesque crimes.”

Report author Alexis Jay cited appalling acts of violence between 1997 and 2013 in the town of some 250,000. Charities that deal with abused children have expressed shock not just at the number of victims and by the apparent reluctance of authorities to address the question that people of Pakistani heritage were involved for fear they would be labeled racists.

Barnardo's, a charity that works with vulnerable children, unilaterally condemned the abuse that left so many to suffer for so long. “No one should ever be frightened to act decisively because of fear of being seen as racist or politically incorrect,” said Barnardo's chief executive, Javed Khan.

Britain's Labour Party called for the resignation of the police commissioner in the town, a member of its own ranks, after the report found that “collective failures,” led to inaction. But Jay said Rotherham is not the only place in Britain struggling with this issue.

She told the BBC that “demand for this kind of sexual activity with children is on the increase and that is validated across not just the UK but Europe and worldwide.”

“We can't say that Rotherham is any better or worse than other places because the information simply doesn't exist at a national level to tell us that,” she said.

Following the meeting between the COAS and premier, the government agreed to accept Qadri’s demand of FIR.
. . .He also insisted that the army chief extended his support to the government :rotfl: in the face off of brewing political tensions.
Read the above along with the NightWatch report below:
Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was named with 20 others today as a suspect in the murder of 14 protestors in Lahore in June. The Pakistan Army is staging a constitutional coup.

According to a leader of the protest movement in Islamabad, "The army chief has asked us to give him 24 hours to solve the crisis…..The army will compile and put together a package of our demands and make sure they are implemented."

Comment: The Prime Minister was named in a first information report, which is a criminal complaint. That is the earliest stage in a criminal investigation. The charges are contrived and should be dismissed as an abuse of process.

The prime minister has absolute immunity from prosecution. The Pakistani courts confirmed that immunity for senior officials when Zardari was president of Pakistan. Thus, the allegations against Nawaz Sharif are driven by political machinations, to coerce him to resign as prime minister, most likely with the backing of the Pakistan Army.

The Army continues to despise Nawaz Sharif mainly for pursuing treason charges against former army chief and former president Musharraf.

Army meddling again. The Pakistan Army leadership said it will resolve the political crisis in Islamabad where protestors have camped out and continue to insist that Nawaz Sharif resign because of voter fraud. Nawaz Sharif reportedly has agreed to surrender much of his authority over national security affairs to the Chief of the Army Staff, in order to avoid a constitutional crisis.

The Pakistani newspaper Dawn reported that the Army has dictated to the Prime Minister that he will be a ceremonial prime minister for the remainder of his term of office. The Army will run the government.

Comment: The Pakistan Army is staging a coup. It is similar in style to that conductged against Benazir Bhutto by General Jehangir Karamat. Karamat used compliant civilian institutions against then-Prime Minister Bhutto to engineer her ouster. General Sharif is doing something similar. Without Army backing, Nawaz Sharif cannot remain in office. The police will not stand for law and the constitutional order against the Army.

Pakistan is another Muslim country that is incapable of living within the rule of law in a Western-style democracy. The Pakistan Army is a law unto itself that no elected government has proven capable of controlling. Army rule, directly or behind the scenes, always has been a disaster that pillaged the economy for the Army's benefit and steadily moved the country towards stricter observance of Sharia. The number of religious schools grows exponentially whenever the Army governs, according to Pakistani studies.

The Army always intervenes when it needs or wants more money from the government or when government action threatens to limit Army money-making enterprises and industries. The public, political issues seem portentous, but always camouflage money grubbing by the Pakistan Army generals.

The impulse for converting Islamic fundamentalism into political activism often has originated in the less educated and less enlightened northwestern regions and the tribal agencies, from which the latest protest movement arose. Prior Islamist movements that opposed the elected civilian government, like the current protestors in Islamabad, always had the backing of the Pakistan Army and the intelligence service, which are more Islamist than modern. Few Western political and military leaders seem to have understood that.

The political struggle with Nawaz Sharif, however, is most immediately about his trial of Pervez Musharraf. The Army is using its leverage and political clout to not only exonerate Musharraf and enable him to leave Pakistan, but also to make a power grab on the authority of the elected government.

The Pakistan Army leadership already has achieved a constitutional coup through threats and coercion. It also has gutted the Court system again. The protestors are simply pawns and dupes of the Army, as were their predecessors when Musharraf took power in 1999. The Army is not just incompetent, it is lawless, but good at overthrowing its own government. The elected civilian government has lost the struggle for civilian control of the Army and for control of Pakistani national security affairs.

The most fundamental rule of violent political instability is that the group with the most guns always wins. This development can lead eventually to another conflict because the Pakistan Army appears to want hostile relations with India.

There is no explanation from this lady about the constant firing on the border from Pakistani side for the last two months and killing our soldiers. Was Nawaz sleeping when this was happening? And if he couldn't control it, then what use is he to India? India needs to have a strict policy of extreme disinterest towards Pakistan -- pretend as if the jokers don't exist. This is a country which survives on attention from India. If India doesn't show any interest, their ego will collapse.

That report has been typed in the barracks and sent to press just for printing. It is meant to give the image that political parties and it leaders like Sharif,ImranKhan and TuQ are squabbling outfits and the Army is required to keep the peace between them. The Army keeps the peace inside and outside of Pakistan => the Army is the stabilizing force.

Or so they think.

Nawaz Sharif denies asking the STFU-PA to mediate.Claims, that request was made by Immy and Padhri and he only agreed.

Immy & Padhri deny ever having asked the army to intervene.

What past history tells us: All Pakistani civilian leaders, mullahs and terrorist Emirs had contacted the STFU-PA at various times to take over governance and the Army usually obliged at the right time.

Marchers have greatly damaged Pakistan economy, says minister
kaunsi economy bhai? which economy?
Due to political disturbance of two sit ins in front of parliament house, there is expectation that supply of imported and exported may stop and it greatly damage Pakistan economy.
There is also expectation that billions of rupees of foreign investors may sink because the transportation of import and export stopped for the time being halted. He regretted that large quantities of imported heavy machineries are laying at Karachi Port.
I don't understand. Dharna in slumabad stopped import export via Karachi! what kind of magical domino effect is this?

While you are waiting with bated breath for the Inqilab to start, here is a comedy break before regular programming resumes...

Baki is conphused about religion of peace
Has Islam come in the way of modernisation? I venture to suggest that there is no inherent conflict between Islam and modernism. Neither science nor rationalism has ever been rejected by Islam. {Djinn energy is possible!} As a matter of fact, as modernism seeks social and economic justice it is working in the direction that Islam has always favoured. :rotfl:

There is nothing in Islam or in Muslim history to suggest that it is averse to change. {WTF? Calls for Caliphate? Shariah? Golden Era of the 7th century? Rip Van Winkle, wake up!}In fact, the ease and confidence with which Muslims adapted themselves to new conditions which they found in the countries that came under their sway shows that they do possess adaptability. {I guess he should check with his compatriot Asians in Bartannia that are adapting themselves so well with grooming and calls for shariah}
The objectives of Sir Syed were educational and social reform and he did not wish to dabble in matters of religion. In fact, conscious of clerical hostility, he offered not to have any role in religious curriculum in his college and invited leading clerics to do the needful.

But the maulvis of Deoband shot down the proposal and reportedly said they would not associate themselves with an educational institution that had Shia students on its rolls. {That is called accomodation to change!}In his biography of Sir Syed, Altaf Husain Hali wrote that 60 maulvis and alims signed a fatwa accusing Sir Syed of disbelief and apostasy.
From the comments section ...
Islam is the religion of the Space Age. {I guess Cubesat counts!} Mullahs and Hardliners have no place in Islam.{Blasphemy! Isn't that the eligibility criterion for wajb-ul-qatl?}
But the stark reality of the hour is that Muslims as a whole are miliions of light years away from Islam.{Replace 'Islam' with 'rest of humanity'}

So Chaudhry Nisar makes a statement that "Government did not invite Army to mediate, they requested to facilitate and we said why not?". The ISPR demolishes it with a single tweet.

badmash has not learned anything from 2 coups it seems. Statements like "Army took government's permission before meeting IK and TuQ" will only strengthen the hands of extremists on the other side of Isloo border. No wonder IK has announced protests in 5 more cities 4 more cities from Saturday. I'll not be surprised if this soft coup will turn into a hard coup. Most likely - this govt will be forced to resign, national govt will be put in place whatever that means and fresh elections will be held in a year.

4 cities - Kraachi, Lawhore, Multan, Faisalabad. 3 cities in Pakjab. This is so much about Pakjab and finishing Shariffs than so called "naya Pakistan".

Rotherham’s — and England’s — Shame
The Muslim men who tortured more than 1,400 girls are criminals.
So are the authorities who covered it up.
...
What happened is explained by two additional facts: The 1,400 girls were all white and of Christian background and English ethnicity while all but one of their exploiters were Muslims of Pakistani heritage. (The report describes the men delicately as “Asians,” but so far no Hindus, Sikhs, or Hong Kong Chinese are among their number.) As in other recent cases, the men targeted the girls in large part because they were white Christians, culturally speaking, and thus “worthless.” They actually told the girls that this was so.

One guess who is to blame for all the plight and sufferings of the pakis, and the crimes they commit, in Al Britainistan. The Brits

Demons of a British ghetto
Pakistan and Pakistanis live on in these British ghettos; where curries and conversations are reconstructed to be just like they were in the homeland, before a father, or a grandfather or even a great grandfather left to work in Britain.
The story of the racism Pakistanis face in Britain has been oft told and much repeated. The ensuing generations, of original British migrants, are raised in stunted, suspicious communities. Theirs is the sentence of belonging nowhere; neither to Pakistan nor to Britain, neither present nor past.
Extremist recruiters lurk in mosques
Unwanted by mainstream British culture....British Pakistani youth are the vulnerable progeny of the already marginalised
And, that's why you have:
In a report released this week, the borough of Rotherham, which has a significant Pakistani British population, detailed how several men of Pakistani British descent have been involved in nearly 1400 cases of sexual exploitation of children between the years 1997-2013.
the trend of stigmatisation and marginalisation in Britain, which encouraged their police to rather keep aloof of the criminals (and let them go about their business) than do the right thing and risk being labeled 'racists'.
So, its not us, its you (to blame)!

Nine including six Zikirs gunned down in Balochistan

More green on green?
At least nine people were killed and eight injured in two different firing incidents in Quetta and Awaran districts of Balochistan in less than 24 hours
six people of Zikri community were killed and eight injured in a firing incident in Balochistan's Awaran district
Armed militants opened an indiscriminate fire at a worship place of Zikri sect
So, who are these Zikris? Clicky hiyar for Zikri Islam.
Zikri Islam is a branch of Islam whose adherents follow Muhammad al-Mahdi. Muhammad ibn Hasan al-Mahdī is believed by his followers to be the Mahdī, an ultimate savior of humankind and the final Imām of the Twelve Imams who will emerge with Isa (Jesus Christ) in order to fulfill their mission of bringing peace and justice to the world.
That explains it. He is Zaid 'el Mahdi" Ham-eid's guru.

Really???

then why TF are so many of the fakers always in India??

Holding exhibitions, freeloading on hospital treatment and making group visits and cribbing that Indian visas are not easy to get

Average Pakistani doesn't like India: Survey

A Washington-based Pew Research Centre survey has revealed rising concern among Pakistanis about a threat to their country from India.

A survey of 1,203 Pakistani adults between April 15 and May 7, showed 51 per cent believed India was the biggest threat to their country, up from 38 per cent in 2013.

A threat perception from the Taliban and Al Qaida in Pakistan seem to have come down. One in four named the Taliban, as against one in three in 2013. Only two per cent (four per cent in 2013) regarded Al Qaida as a threat to the nation’s security.

The perceived threat posed by India differs by region, the survey says. As many as 84 per cent of those in the Punjab and 80 per cent in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (till 2010, it was known as North-West Frontier Province) think India presents a serious threat to Pakistan. While, 55 per cent of those in Sindh and 35 per cent in Baluchistan believe India is a serious concern.

In all, 71 per cent of Pakistanis surveyed expressed an unfavourable view of India. Only 13 per cent gave it a positive rating.

The change in public perception can be gauged by the fact that in the 2013 survey, people’s concerns were more evenly divided between India (38 per cent) and the Taliban (33 per cent). One in ten believe the government in Islamabad is losing the fight against extremism, while 38 per cent express no opinion.

Interestingly, Pakistan’s military establishment, always a key player in the country’s politics, continues to get a positively high rating from people.

In a question on the influence of different institutions and individuals on the nation, 87 per cent gave a thumbs–up to the role of military, an eight percentage point increase from 2013.

On the whole, while most Pakistanis remain unhappy with the country’s direction, the public mood is more positive than it has been in recent years. The percentage saying the economy is in good shape has more than doubled since last year, rising from 17 per cent to 37 per cent. And, 36 per cent expect the economy to improve in the next 12 months.

Despite resistance from opposition parties, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has maintained his popularity through his first year in office.

As many as 64 per cent said they had a favourable opinion of the prime minister. Opposition leader Imran Khan’s support from people has seen a marked decline since 2012, dropping 17 per cent in two years, from a high of 70 per cent.

In the latest survey, the ex-cricketer receives favourable reviews from around 53 per cent, while 22 per cent offer no opinion on him, up from 11 per cent in 2012.

Rising prices, electricity shortages, lack of jobs, crime, a rich-poor gap, health care and corrupt political leaders top the list of problems facing the nation, said people in the survey.

Another new development?
Islamabad is abuzz with speculation that such an unelected "national government" will now be imposed by the military, though it remains unclear how this would be compatible with the constitution.

This guy has now completely lost it. He is asking for trouble. At this point he has pi$$ed off almost everyone. 90pc MPs are tax evaders and killers, claims Imran.
He claimed that 90 percent of the parliamentarians were tax thieves, killers and robbers and wanted to save their rigging not democracy.
Imran warned his party legislators who had not resigned yet to tender their resignations by Friday evening or they would be thrown out of the party.
“I have decided to win either freedom or death, otherwise I shall not move from here
Imran vowed to bring back $200 billion from the Swiss banks.
