"I feel that there has to be some strong response which will once and for all or at least reduce this blatant attempts. It's an open secret that they [militants] came from Pakistan,” he said, adding, “you will see the developments in the next six months.” “I am not talking of a full scale war. Full-scale war is totally different. But if there are places where you get the terrorists across, there are people who do it. I think those people will have to be brought under pressure,” the PTI quoted the Minister as saying."

Looks like the defense min, let the cat out of the bag.... I am surprised no one's talking about what he said, the pakis to their credit picked up on it.

Some hints:
1. there has to be some strong response: it will be military
2. that they [militants] came from Pakistan, response directed towards pakis
3. you will see the developments in the next six months,time-line
4. I am not talking of a full scale war, OK, so small scale war
5.But if there are places where you get the terrorists across, there are people who do it. I think those people will have to be brought under pressure, they will lob some stuff on to the paki breeding grounds, and huts,

Could it be anymore clearer than that....

No point worrying about it now. If you let some pigs in your house, it would obviously make a mess. You can't fault the pigs. Its in their nature. Chase the pigs out, use some bottles of phenyl to clean the place. And never let them in again. That's all.

The taller than the tallest and deeper than the deepest syphilis syndrome

I really thought this was a satire but i was wrong. Like i said after the sharrif brothers singing "higher than Himalayas and deeper than deepest seas" in a conference with the Chinese, we must lose no time in merging the BENIS with regular paki dhaga. Here's a delusional paki who confirms they have lost any semblance of sanity by suggesting it will be a "paki century" because the chinese are doing well ! :-?
Writing in Vanity Fair magazine recently, Nobel Prize-winning economist and one of the world’s top intellectuals Joseph E. Stiglitz highlighted a fact that marks the end of an era in world history and holds immense promise and benefits for Pakistan and its citizens.

According to Stiglitz, at the turn of new year, China will become the world’s largest and most powerful economy — overtaking the US and thus launching an era which he says “will last for a very long time, if not forever”.

How this has been established and why it has escaped the attention of the world’s news media is not the subject here and is best explained by the Nobel Prize-winning professor and the fourth most influential economist by academic citation himself.

What is important for Pakistan is that this rise in its ‘greatest friend’s’ stature could be the most fortunate event in what has so far been a rather forgettable new millennium for Islamabad. From the fallout of the 9/11 attacks to the growth of internal insurgencies and an increasingly beleaguered economy, the country has been dragging itself along with predictions of doom and disaster hanging over its head.

But China’s ascendancy — coinciding with the end of the Afghan conflict — means a new dawn could be approaching. It’s not all conjecture: between them, Pakistan’s past two governments have managed to inveigle a $43.5 billion investment deal from Beijing. What is needed now is the proper management and planning of the resulting schemes.

“Pakistan must be more transactional in its relationship with China,” said Dr Akbar Zaidi, a senior economist. “Over the years a lot of MoUs have been signed but rarely have these been translated into actual projects.”

Dr Zaidi cited the example of the Thar Coal project, launched with much fanfare in 2011 but which has since run into financial trouble. While the government insists that it’s still on, he says that past history suggests that it is highly unlikely to be completed on time, and may never actually get operational.

“China has seen enough of Pakistan’s troubled governance to know that what is set in stone today may well all have melted away tomorrow,” he said.

“They may put in amounts as seed money which may seem enormous, but which is peanuts for them — and then wait and see what sort of response comes from the national government in question. They have done this in Africa and Latin America, and have walked away when things got stuck in a rut.”

Dr Zaidi’s hypothesis certainly remains true for most bilateral civilian projects. But it appears to lose weight when tested on defence cooperation between the two sides. Technology transfer for initial weapons development from China for the M-11 / HATF 3, or the co-production of weapons systems such as the F-7P jet have resulted in a Pakistani weapons production industry that now looks set to prosper.

According to the ministry of defence production, military exports have doubled in the past year. This was clear at the recent IDEAS arms fair with greater interest shown in Pakistani defence goods than in those being displayed by renowned international firms.

One reason for the weapons industry’s success in comparison to the civilian sector is the predominance of the Pakistan military in relations with any foreign power. However, if that was actually the case here, it would still not account for the number of MoUs signed or the fewer number of agreements reached in spheres that are purely civilian and where the grants given cannot be re-allocated to defence needs.

Debate on investment

The biggest current example is of course the Pakistan-China trade corridor, seen as a game changer for the country. It also remains a top priority for the current government, something emphasised by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif himself. Yet the project, which envisages the construction of a vast transport and communications infrastructure to connect Chinese Kashgar to the Gwadar port, is already in dispute.

“Our problem is that our priorities remain narrowly confined to political and provincial domains,” said Daud Khan Achakzai, head of the Pakistan senate subcommittee on communications and transport. “This project will be developed over a period of at least 15 years and it needs long-term vision and planning, whereas each new government has been trying to amend it to best benefit its constituency.”

In such a move recently, the PML-N led government has diverted the original route through Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, to include Punjab and parts of Sindh. This has resulted in an uproar from the benches, especially from KP and Balochistan MNAs.

Achakzai, who is from Zhob, says that while he agrees that Punjab and Sindh should also derive benefits from the project, this should not be at the cost of an already greatly discriminated Balochistan.

“Each province should get its just share; as should Pakistan,” he contends.

“We must have a greater debate over the investment from China, as they stand to gain over 10 days in transport time for goods and energy. Currently, it takes them 12 days to ship goods and fuel from the Middle East, whereas the corridor would cut this down to 24 to 36 hours.”

This is particularly important, as Stiglitz points out. He says that while China may have moved into the number one economy slot, that does not mean its pace of growth is going to slow down anytime soon. In particular, experts agree, this means a growth in its demand for fuel and oil will increase, the largest proven deposits of which lie around the Persian Gulf.

As such, almost all indicators suggest that Beijing’s best years lie ahead. That’s something that its adversaries are well aware of and want to control as much as they can. None perhaps as much as the US, as is evident with current American President Barack Obama’s pivot to Asia policy which experts like Stiglitz maintain is nothing less than the encirclement and containment of the Chinese Dragon, preying on the fears of its smaller neighbours over territorial disputes.

The only exception to this appears to be Pakistan. In a recent conversation with this reporter at a defence seminar, Chinese officials described the relationship between the two countries by clasping their hands together and calling the two nations “brothers”. While some of this may be rhetoric, there is also a strong element of truth in it. As such it puts Pakistan in an enviable position to propel itself through the 21st century. The only obstacles in the way appear to be self constructed; their timely removal could help propel Pakistan into a new league of economic success.

Amber Ji :

The comparison of the so called "Corridor" is wrong as China needs the Oil and Natural Gas in its Eastern Parts. Xinjiang supplies Oodles of Millions of Barrels of Oil and Noodles of Billions of Cubic Feet of Natural Gas to the Eastern part of China. China’s Natural Gas and Oil Imports from the Persian Gulf are supposed by the Crapistani Intelligentsia to be transported via Gwadar to China's Eastern Parts.

China’s Oil Imports are mainly via the East China Seaboard and to bye-pass the Straits of Malacca China has built the Port of Kyaukpyu in Myanmar – about 75 Miles south-west of Sitwe (Akyab). The Natural Gas Pipeline from Kyaukpyu to Kunming(?) seems to be in use. However the Oil Pipeline also seems to be in place but the following Article explains the problem of Water Depths in Kyakpyu :
Draught problem delays opening of Kyaukpyu Deep Sea Port

Yangon - The construction of Kyaukpyu Deep Sea Port, Rakhine State, has been completed, but its depth will not currently accommodate an oil tanker scheduled to arrive in November when the port is opened, said a member of the Kyaukpyu Deep Sea Port Watchdog Committee on October 10.

U Saw Moe Kyaw told Mizzima that the port that can accommodate a 62 feet (18.8 metre) deep draught, the vertical distance between the waterline and the bottom of the hull, is not deep enough for 300,000-ton liners, which is causing a delay of commissioning the port into service.

He said that the port authority is currently working with experts from China making an attempt to accept the arrival of an oil tanker with a 70 foot (21.3 metres) draught in November but that the vessel would not find it easy to dock at the port.
The Deepening of the VLCC Berths in Kyaukpyu might take an Year or so - at the most – and finally the Chinese will confirm that Gwadar will mainly be a Naval Base for the Chinese Navy.

Gwadar maybe used for the Imports & Edports of Xinjiang and other Central Asian Republics but the Chinese “Traffic” envisaged by the Crapistanis will be a mere trickle compared to Mundra, Kandla and Jamnagar's Essar and Reliance Oil Terminals.

After large swathes of the country were in the dark for six hours following a massive breakdown at the national power grid on December 12, the ministry of water and power on Sunday submitted a report of the breakdown to the premier leading to the suspension of three members of Guddu power plant.

As per the investigation report of the ministry of water and power, the power outage was due to the negligence and lack of coordination on the part of Guddu power plant management. “The 220 to 500 KV step-up grid station at Guddu was overloaded and resulted in the tripping of the Northern transmission system,” the report stated.

The report resulted in action against Guddu Genco CEO Rukhsar Qureshi, Resident Engineer Maula Buksh and senior shift engineer Mohammad Momin who have been suspended from their posts. The breakdown resulted in power outages in districts of Peshawar, Mardan, Sawabi, Azad Jammu Kashmir, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Jehlum, Attock, Chakwal, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Lahore and Multan.

Response to protests: Govt's 'Plan D' is for development not destruction, says Nawaz
CHAKWAL: Prime Minister Nawaz Shraif on Monday said the government’s plan D for the country is that of development in contrast to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s plan D of destruction.
It is the first time a road like this has been constructed in South Asia, and it is receiving praise not only from within Pakistan but also from abroad,” the prime minister said, referring to renovations at the Islamabad-Lahore Motorway.
He said the motorway had been constructed with Pakistan’s own funds without the government requesting for any foreign assistance.

This is the game that is being played (see below) -- in brief, borrow enough foreign currency that foreign exchange reserves look good to the IMF and they give Pakistan money that in turn unlocks World Bank money.
Final decision will also be taken in the board meeting for disbursement of tranche of 1.10 billion dollars loan. A senior officer of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) said the finance ministry was fully convinced that the IMF would release 4th and 5th tranche of loan which come to 1.10 billion dollars to Pakistan during the board’s meeting.

Pakistan foreign exchange reserves will swell beyond 15 billion dollars with the release of this tranche in the last week of this month. These reserves will suffice to enable the country to meet its imports targets for three months. As a consequence country will be capable to meet the criterion set out by World Bank for its cheap loans scheme DA-16. The interest rate on these loans has been fixed 2 percent and its repayment period ranges between 20 to 30 years.

These loans will help government to start work on major and mega projects including Diamar Bhasha dam and Wasoo dam. As soon as the decision comes in favour of Pakistan, several companies will get ready to make investment in privatization program of the country boosting our national economy.

According to the order of General AAK Niazi, Pakistan troops start surrendering weapons at 5:00am. Around 8:00am, General Niazi requests Indian army chief to extend surrendering period for another six hours.

An hour later, two officers of India and Bangladesh, in a vehicle, hoisting a white flag, go to Niazi’s HQ with a letter from divisional commander of the allied force, General Nagra. The message reads: “Dear Abdullah, I’m here. You will now surrender to me. This is an order.”

Unbelievable! Unless you're deranged how can you even contemplate killing children, let alone actually doing it.

Is hurting India using these terrorists more important than protecting your own children? If not, why breed them hoping to only kill Indians, Afghans and Americans.

As the gunbattle remains on between the security forces and the terrorists, reports say that the number of injured children may shoot up.
The responsibility for the attack has been claimed by Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. According to an AFP report, the terrorists have been ordered to shoot older students at the Army-run school.
Some 35 children are said to be injured and they are being rushed to the nearby hospitals.
Pakistani security forces have cordoned off the school and gunfire can be heard.
An Army school in Peshawar's cantonment area has been attacked by six terrorists on Tuesday morning. According to a Reuters report, the terrorists are holding some 500 students and children hostage.
This was not a spur of the moment opportunity target. It was chosen much in advance, it was identified, evaluated, reconnoitered, and saved for a good enough reason.

much like they choose targets in cashmere and always catch the authorities by "surprise".
