Major terror attacks on schools in Pakistan
http://ibnlive.in.com/news/major-terror ... 80-56.html

October 2014: A girls' school in Pakistan has been blown up by terrorists. The unidentified terrorists attacked the government girls' primary school with explosives in Hakim Khan Keley village in the Bara area of Khyber district.

http://www.aljazeera.com/indepth/featur ... 15708.html
Between 2007 and 2011, the Tehreek-e-Taliban Swat, led by Maulana Fazlullah, destroyed more than 400 schools, many of them providing education for girls, the local administration says.
September 2014: Suspected terrorists blew up a government girls' primary school in the border area in Nawagai tehsil.

January 2014: A suicide bomber has blown himself up outside a government school in northwest Pakistan, killing a teenage boy and another person.

September 2013: Bomb attack At Pakistani Girls School. A bomb has exploded outside a girls school in the northwestern town of Bannu, wounding 14 people.

June 2013: At least 14 people were killed and 28 injured in an attack on a Shiite religious school in northwestern Pakistan.

October 2012: Malala Yousafzai was shot at by Taliban militants while she was boarding her school bus in northwest Pakistani district of Swat.

September 2011: Pakistan school bus attack kills teacher and three children. Islamist gunmen target bus near city of Peshawar.

December 2010: Suspected militants targeted a school bus with a roadside bomb in northwestern Pakistani city , killing its driver and injuring two students.

April 2009: 12 children were killed when a bomb hidden in a football, left near the compound wall of a girls' school in Dir, west of Swat Valley, exploded.

March 2009: The Government Girls' Higher Secondary School in Hathian village, Mardan, was bombed. On 23 March, a rocket hit the courtyard of FG Girls' High School in Peshawar; it was launched from nearby hills.

March 2009: A suicide bomber attacked a girls' school in Baluchistan, eastern Pakistan.

February 2009: A girls' schools in Mardan District, north-east of Peshawar, were attacked.

January 2009: A government-run girls' middle school was blown up in Qambar, a suburb of Mingora, Swat.

August 2002: Six killed at Pakistan missionary school. Six Pakistanis were killed and at least three people wounded today when masked gunmen burst into the compound of a school for children of foreign missionaries near the town of Murree.

Terrorist attack and hostage situation in Pakistan

July 2012: Dozens of militants coming from Afghanistan took scores of villagers hostage in Kitkot village near Pakistan's Bajaur tribal area, sparking fighting that killed at least 10 people

August 2010: The militants overpowered guards at the army detention centre located within Peshawar cantonment and took two sentries hostage. The militants, who were being investigated by a law enforcement agency, also took control of the building located a short distance from the US Consulate and an office of the Intelligence Bureau.

October 2009: Militants wearing military uniform attacked the Pakistani army's headquarters, killing six soldiers and taking hostages after a 40-minute gun battle.

The shooting of Malala Yousafzai, a 14-year-old activist who championed the cause of girls’ education in the valley, by Taliban gunmen last week was a stark reminder of the extremist group’s stance on the issue of education.

There are large number of attacks on schools, especially that teaches girls.

I wish I could say i was sorry to see kids killed in this attack. But I am not. When that nation thinks that it can send terrorists to kill my children. It serves them right to have terrorists kill theirs.

^^^ completely agree. While it is sad to see this spectacle, one must remember that once upon a time, Mushy was an innocent school child, so were many of the adult Pakjabis of today who are itching to go to war with India now. These guys wont blink an eyelid if the same happens to India or if they themselves have to nuke/bomb an Indian school. They all studied in such army-schools.

Those killed today were the future uniformed Jihadis. They could have changed course and become "good" Bakistanis, but given the environment in Bakistan the only "good" bakistani is a dead Bakistani. This maybe in bad taste, but that is the only taste I have as far as Bakistanis are concerned.

But I've waited 43 years this day for someone in Pak to be punished for war-crimes.

This looks like the snake coming back to bite Bakistan's Mush. No Sheriff would do this. This event is completely unscripted by the usual suspects :) hence it is bad tellybunnies

108 killed of which 104 are children, one terrorist may have escaped
Security sources say that some of the terrorists have managed to escape from the site after cutting barbed wires around the school premises  . Four gunmen are dead, one escaped, one is believed to be still holed up in the school.

A felicitation ceremony planned in Lahore for the hockey team which won a silver medal in the Champions trophy in India has been postponed. Pakistan Hockey Federation said that the ceremony would be held at a future suitable time.

Strange are the ways of Allah. Two days before they showed their bare chest to the crowd and the punishment came. :((

Militants entered through a graveyard next to school : Mushtaq Ghani, provincial information minister, said the militants entered through a graveyard which is adjacent to the school, called Army Public School. The school is close to Saint Mary High School located at the start of Warsak Road which was also under threat for last couple of days. A heavy contingent of police and security forces have blocked the roads leading to the school, taking control of the entire area.

TTP spokesman Muhammad Khorasani told there were six attackers.

"They include target killers and suicide attackers. They have been ordered to shoot the older students but not the children," he said.
TTP knows its book. No need to worry.

Peregrine Sir, just a suggestion. You may want to remove your "cheers" signature when reporting gruesome incidents such as these. Even at the time of the attack on Indian Army soldier's, this comes across in bad taste.

That said, this is a new low for these terrorists. Heart goes to all the kids and their family. It will be a lifelong trauma for the surviving kids.

When it's time to fight demons, the work is done by the likes Kali, Narsimha kind of warriors. Goody two shoes gods like Brahma, Lakshmi are not demon slayers. To fight the Paki demons, we need Kali, not Saraswati and get rid of this holier than thou attitude. I find killing of children despicable, but Pakis had it coming. May there be 16 such attacks every 12 days. The fact that a majority of these kids belong to the same army personnel which did it in Kaluchak and almost did it again in India last year, gives a feeling of bitter schadenfreude, nothing else.

The society which celebrates sex with a 9 year old should have little trouble categorising these schoolkids as valid targets.

I can understand your sentiment, but isn't it possible that Pakistan is now seeing a mirror image of itself. A mirror image of what they have loved, nurtured and cherished?

Everyone at BR would have been upset had this been in any other state but Pakistan.
We should return 93000 POWs while they cut limb by limb to death of 6 Indian soldiers they capture.
Pakistanis are getting only what the rascals deserve.
Stay civilized and enjoy getting f@ked.

I intend to have some beer while I can before alcohol consumption starts hurting the sensibilities of Pak pasand.

It is the same when we don't become as good as Aussies AUTOMATICALLY while talking about hostage situation in Australia, just a day ago. We have our own identity while observing jihadis.

Seems 'non-state actors' of pure lands are targeting now kids within pure lands. Will jihadis not demand a dossier from other jihadis - a habit the official jihadis developed while hiding jihadis from Indians?

In any case, it takes really long time in lands of pure to punish jihadis even when likes of miya half-pigz sayeed go on with rallies.

Any rallies against 'non-state' actors and all will be well in land of pure.

An absolutely tragic event that has been expertly timed and orchestrated to grab the attention of the POTUS who is scheduled to visit India in January. Obama will either have to come up with more money, weapons and Kashmir to sate the appetite of TSP. Failing that, he may have to visit Lahore during the same trip to Delhi, if only to maintain the semblance of identity. This event however gruesome is a dialogue between Gotus and the remnants of Pakistan

Pakistan should get its janam kundli circa 16th Dec 1971 recast by dissolving itself into just Punjab. Horrifying, but so like their forefathers under the prophet.

Now, this is bad news for the SSG itself. Remember Lal Masjid, 2007, the Zarar Company's involvement and the subsequent Tarbela SSG mess bombing killing 19 officers?

I don't believe all this, I think this is all fake drama/dramatised to show that Pakistan is victim of terror to get baksheesh from America. Why would Taliban attack Pakistan army school when Pakistan army themselves trained it and fund it. This is just Pakistani propaganda don't fall for it.
