Also, that Aparna seems to some kind of lifafa fraud so coy to take India's position given all her BS about India unwilling to discuss Kashmir and such. Finally, if I were in audience, I would have confronted that Bum dork and Lisa on whether there is another example where a state sponsor or terror like TSP is treated with such kid gloves, and instead of talking about uprooting the terror evil from TSP in no uncertain terms we are gving it respectability by convincing it move away, using a democratic country like India as a "leverage", why being nice to TSP etc. I mean why not have the same with Al Queda, hold a dialogue with them on why their objectives are not being achieved by terrorizing Americans.
Answer is Saudi Arabia. Saudis are the spiritual as well as financial fountainhead of Islamic terrorism in the world.

And AnujanJi gave the example of US double-speak (and in the case of US, it is chutzpah, not chootzpah :-)) closer to home in the manner in which it funds Paki terrorists, and would come down hammer and tongs on India should it do the same as he suggested.

Of course, NK and TSP also indulging in double speak is chootzpah, so I don't see any flawed logic.
CRamS ji apparently you are afflicted with an ability to recognise sarcasm, especially directed at the Supahpaawah.

Hakeemji's post one above mine should have explained the context much clearly.

Stuck in 1947 — Pakistan's 68 years of solitude/ Stupidity: Pakistan Abhi Owrr Pure Islam Mangata Hai
ime has not passed since then. Pakistan is only recreating itself in its own image over and over again. The blood of the children perished in Peshawar is not different from the blood of those millions of unfortunate souls slaughtered during the tragic events of Partition. It is just the continuation. The baggage of blood is still pulling the strings of the present. The country has failed to get over its painful past. Ideology has come to be so overbearing, so suffocating that it has become impossible for the children to breathe. They are dying. ( More Islam, More Islam, More Islam Mow Pakistan)You know, the generals did not really invent the doctrine of 'strategic depth'. They merely discovered it. It was already there, brewing in the very foundations of Pakistan, waiting to be found out. It was a very simple yet unresolved question: the country got separated from its eastern neighbours because of a distinct religion, but then what about the western neighbours? If religion were to be the basis of nationhood, then why were the western neighbours a different nation despite having belonged to the same religion? The generals solved the equation towards the end of the Cold War. They called it 'strategic depth'.The ideology is not new nor is it old. Having roots in nationalistic movement of undivided India, it has taken countless forms from the so-called two-nation theory to national interest, territorial sovereignty, citadel of Islam, strategic depth, and still counting. They are different shades of the same colour. The ideology will continue to resurface and recreate itself in one form or another.
Actually, there is no such thing in the world as a true ideology – ideologies are seen and analysed in the context of how they operate and influence the present scenarios. The question as to whether or not Jinnah wanted a secular Pakistan is not relevant anymore. This debate is dead and buried under the accumulated debris of 68 long years. The more pertinent question is how the ideology, in any of its forms, has shaped today’s Pakistan and how it has been used as a paradigm to take decisions on national level. The only yardstick to have been employed in shaping the country's national narrative since its inception is the ambiguous ideology of Pakistan. Starting from the Bhabhra massacre in Charsadda district of KP in 1949, when around 400 unarmed workers of Khudai Khidmatgar movement were killed by the then provincial government, to the brutal killings of children in Peshawar in 2014 by the Taliban; there is a pattern and method in this madness. Right from the very first day, the country has assumed the role of a security state hell-bent on enforcing and protecting an equivocal cause at the cost of its citizens. The ludicrous One Unit Scheme was introduced in 1954 on the same pretext of national unity which ultimately led to the separation of East Pakistan and the genocide of hundreds of thousands of Bengalis. The malady afflicting the Koh-i-chiltan in Balochistan is of the same nature that haunted Bangla people in the forests of Sundarbans. The same hegemonic mindset is responsible for the killings of Baloch people that tormented the much larger Bangla population.
The spectre of national security swallowing the people irrespective of ethnicity or creed wears the same green and white cloak with the shades of crimson frozen in time.Over all these years, this self-destructive and highly exclusivist aspect of the ideology, together with its tinge of religion, has been getting exposed more and more every day.The notions of a true Pakistani and a true Muslim have been made to appear quite interchangeable in Pakistan. In the name of national interest, people were expelled from of the circle of 'true Pakistanis'. The practice started right after the inception and reached its climax in 1974, when the state assumed the task of excommunicating people out of the 'circle of Islam'.The Takfiri ideology has made inroads in the society under the auspices of the state. Fuelled by dubious ideology, the obsession of making the countrymen more Pakistani and more Muslim led to delegating powers of excommunication to non-state actors. The policy has proven catastrophic to large segments of society.Such is the grief, such is the magnitude of each tragedy that it stumps the imagination, before reality rears its ugly head again to reveal something even worse. The recurring cycle of atrocities seldom leaves much space to see outside of it. We are prisoners of a past that keeps coming back again and again in guise of the present. The present is Taliban and we are completely mistaken if we think that this is the worst that things can get. The past is still alive. The ideology is still breathing. In Macondo, the most extraordinary events happened in the most mundane, most ordinary manner, during those one hundred years. During our own 68 years of national solitude dictated by the most ambiguous ideology, the extraordinary has come to be the most ordinary in much the same way.

Were they following SOP ? why weren't anybody from the local thaana present along with district magistrate? Did they stick a revenue stamp in the paper authorizing the operation ? Why 40-50 heavily armed men to catch one guy ?
Not only that, they never requisitioned halal biriyani from the local Pakistani store to try to break the deadlock.

I am sure that after feeding the abdul different flavours of biriyani for one week the whole matter could have been resolved amicably - and then the hostages, the abdul and the police could have merrily trip danced to yonder rainbows

ISI chief meets Ghani in Kabul
http://www.dawn.com/news/1156457/isi-ch ... i-in-kabul
According to a handout issued from the Presidential Palace in Kabul in Pashto and Darri languages, the Afghan president and the ISI chief discussed the modalities “to strengthen the joint efforts of the two sides in the fight against terrorism and extremism” in both countries. This was the second visit of the ISI chief to Afghanistan after the Taliban attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar on Dec 16 in which over 140 people, mostly students, had died.He had earlier accompanied Chief of Army Staff Gen Raheel Sharif during an unscheduled visit to the Afghan capital on the day after the Peshawar attack to share vital elements of intelligence information with President Ghani and the commander of the coalition forces in Afghanistan, Gen John Campbell, about the involvement in it of the militant groups present on Afghan soil. The army chief had got assurances from the Afghan government and the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan for action against a Kunar-based Taliban splinter group believed to be behind the school massacre. An operation was carried out in Kunar on the basis of the intelligence shared by Pakistan.During the visit, Mr Ghani had reportedly assured Gen Sharif that the use of Afghan soil would not be allowed for terrorists’ activities against Pakistan and any signature found in this regard would be immediately eliminated.

Pakistan to Kerry: We are worried about India
Also, if India strikes Pakistan, on the above listed premise of failed diplomacy, or even a much war-gamed Mumbai-like terrorist attack, what happens? Given Pakistan’s infamous civil-military divide, it’s not entirely clear to Pakistan’s civilian administrators what Pakistan’s official and military responses would be. “Escalation? The nuclear option? Tit for tat responses? India is playing with fire with an increasingly tied down Pakistani military,” said the senior diplomat.

While the whining to unkil Kerry of Kerry-Langoor fame is obvious, here is a part of that article that highlights why some of our media personalities must be rewarded with Bharath Ratna :

http://www.thenews.com.pk/Todays-News-1 ... bout-India
Kerry’s visit also comes at the heels of the recent ‘Terror Boat’ episode in which the Indian Coast Guard claimed to have apprehended a Pakistani boat near the coast of Indian State of Gujarat. The Indian media initially speculated that the boat was on its way to conduct another Mumbai-like terror attack. Even after conflicting reports on the nature of the dramatic incident – the boat either caught fire or exploded – as it appeared in the Indian media, the Indian Defence Minister, Manohar Parrikar has continued to insist that people on the boat were terrorists and not smugglers.

A Pakistani Foreign Ministry official drew parallels between the strange ‘Terror Boat’ incident and the Chattisinghpura, Kashmir massacre of 2000 in which 34 Sikhs were killed. The massacre occurred on the same day when the then US President Bill Clinton was visiting India. The Indian government blamed Pakistan for the butchery but an official investigation by the [Indian] Punjab Human Rights Organization and the [Indian] Movement Against State Repression later indicated that “Pakistan had nothing to gain by ordering militants/mercenaries to massacre Sikhs in the Kashmir Valley”.
If anyone from the MSM is reading this, we from BRF thank you from all our hearts. You have truly achieved the heights of journalism.

The above article Pakistan to Kerry: We are worried about India, posted by Amber G, captures the sinister planning under way in Pakistan. It gives away some important pointers.
Islamabad is forced to move from its policy of a “strategic pause” with India to a more productive effort to balance its eastern neighbour.
IMO, this points to the imminent acquisition of either a Han-class SSN or a Xia-class SSBN from China. The ground is being prepared to soft release the news. It hardly matters whether the Han or the Xia class boats are noisy etc. They certainly increase our threat perceptions.
For once, Pakistan’s soldiers and diplomats seem to be on the same page about the India issue: Modi’s RSS-centric right-wing posturing, the declaredly hawkish policies of his tough National Security Adviser, the former Intelligence Bureau director Ajeet Doval . . .
The escalation in firing and the recent boat incident are pointers of PA's strategy to up the ante eliciting a robust response and then blaming India for being aggressive while putting on a face of injured innocence.
One idea that has been discussed informally with Washington has been about some kind of a non-aggression pact with India, underwritten by the US, which lets Pakistan focus on the anti-terror campaign in the frontier regions and, increasingly, in its urban areas.Otherwise, a senior MoD official assessed, given India’s conventional military advantage and posturing on the Working Boundary, less the Line of Control, as well as the Pakistani military’s increasing commitments out west, “we fight India the only way we know how…by hook or by crook.”
This is truly revealing, IMO. The peak periods of terrorism are clearly behind in Pakistan but during that peak time Pakistan resisted all exhortations by the US to act. Pakistan is exploiting the Peshawar Army School attack to the hilt to get at India. India and Pakistan have discussed the 'non-aggression' and 'no-war' pacts since Ayub Khan's days and even an INC-led Indian government would be quite wary of any such proposal, leave alone the current dispensation. Pakistan knows that and yet it sends such a trial balloon to the US because of its very treacherous plan, IMO. Normally we will interpret this as a move to put India on the defensive. We will assume that its calculation is that if it could sell such an outrageous proposal to the US, that would put India on the mat because either rejection or acceptance by India would be to its advantage. No. Its far more sinister than that. I have believed that AQIS is being appropriated by the PA. This admission of 'hook or by crook' is the shape of AQIS and LeT terrors waiting to be unleashed soon. The US had in the past argued that they understood the Pakistani paranoia and its security paradigm vis-a-vis a conventionally much superior India. In fact, Anne Patterson, the US Ambassador to Pakistan, was revealed by WikiLeaks to put forth the same arguments strongly with the State Deptt. The US has always laboured under such (mis)impressions. First, it used to say that reducing the conventional gap with India would stop Pakistan from pursuing the nuclear weapon programme. Now, it is saying that the same would stop Pakistan from using its asymmetric assets. It is either that the US wants some excuse to prop-up Pakistan or Pakistan is exploiting the US naivety (or even its strategic decision to rein-in India) or both. In any case, the contours of terror for 2015 are becoming clear for India. We are going to face one of the bloodiest years ever.
The presence of the UN Secretary General during the Vibrant Gujarat investor conference this last weekend in Ahmadabad didn’t help restore the Pakistani confidence, even though the official claimed that “if the Americans don’t, China, and maybe even Russia, see the light when it comes to curbing India at the UN.”
This is a classic psyops against both the US and us. This is a signal to the US about getting help from the newly revived anti-US group. It was the same technique that Liaquat Ali Khan and Bhutto used against the US by feigning an invitation from the Soviets and trying to force the Americans to accede to the Pakistani plans. But, past history shows that this 'hunting with the hounds and running with the hares' was very successful for Pakistan and it feels emboldened to pursue the same tactic. This is also a psyop against India by so casually and confidently dropping the name of Russia.
A Pakistani Foreign Ministry official drew parallels between the strange ‘Terror Boat’ incident and the Chattisinghpura, Kashmir massacre of 2000 in which 34 Sikhs were killed.
The result of same side goals by Indians on both occasions.

highly unlikely. Just because of the reason that it will then be the first time atleast theoritically that jihadis can have access to atlantic waters and launch cruise missiles into USA.

USA should be more worried than India.

I think the worry in Bakistan is that for the 1st time in the last 65 years India has/is working on a coherent strategy based on realpolitik and not on *hope* or *Aman ka Tamasha* and if executed properly it is going to cause a lot of *takleef* inside Bakistan. The Bakis are crying because the current NSA believes in offensive-defense rather than just defense. I mean which Indian NSA has gotten so much airtime on BakTV?

The fart is an admission that the previous strategies that had worked so well with folks like MMS/MSI/IKG are not going to work at all. I am not sure about the counter to Han/Xia transfer but the rest of it can be tackled by a vigilant GOI.

From the link above:
Soft Martial Law is being imposed in Pakistan
The government stamped through the National Assembly and the Senate to approve the Pakistan Army (Amendment) Bill 2015 as well as the 21st Constitutional Amendment. It took less than 24 hours for both the houses to approve the controversial legislation and the Constitutional Amendment. At one time during the National Assembly vote a member of parliament complained that the bill submitted for approval was different than the draft bill circulated to the MPs.

Members of National Assembly belonging to the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F (JUI-F) abstained from voting. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf of Imran Khan did not participate in the vote because it is boycotting the house proceedings ..
..
Major political parties were pushed to support the amendments ..
..
While no definition of terrorism was given, the JUI-F leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman, in a speech in the house objected to some passages of the bill citing groups "using religion and a sect" in describing terrorists to be punished by the proposed military courts, seeing the wording discriminatory against religious groups and madrasahs.
..
the present apex judiciary will view them as an encroachment on its constitutional rights and institutional space
..
A pro-west think tank of Pakistan has issued a detailed paper in support of the military courts. Interestingly, the paper signatories include three retired army generals, one retired Air Vice Marshal and Police officer Dr. Shuaib Suddle, notorious for his brutal operation in Karachi in 1996.
..
The military operations in Pakistan's tribal territory along the border with Afghanistan continue, at the behest of the United States, behind a smoke screen. It is a no go area for newsmen or independent observers. The only source of casualties is Pakistan army's information bureau known as the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Pakistan is paid by the US for its military operations from the Coalition Support Fund.
..
It displaced three million people from North Waziristan Agency (NWA) after the launch of Operation Zarb-e-Azb on June 15, 2014.
..
Point is how come USA listen to == arguments after all this within Pakistan? How can track 2 or other so-called leftists in India do any == with Pakistan now. That pakis got submarines while fighting Taliban clearly shows how hollow the cover of anti-terror fight is. Also notice how pakis have managed to jumble up words like religion, sects, bla bla like bhelpuri in this act.

I know it is old, but this has not been posted here IMO. Even if it has been posted already, it is good for all of us to remind ourselves what the Pakistanis are capable of. It is a human interest story, and one that evokes the question of compassion and mutual respect to both living and dead. Is Malsi the reason? No one can be sure, and the protagonist does not claim this deed in the name of Malsi.

But it is a good reflection of their social values.

Shocking human interest story in Pakistan

Not sure how much of it is sending a message vs bluff. Since that failing state has only one purpose, which is destruction of India, any devious plot they can think of they will execute when they get a chance. So there is nothing for us to do to pacify their paranoia and hatred. I say, it is time to call their bluff.

India can play important role in Afghanistan: UN chief Ban Ki-moon
UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon today favored a greater role by India in Afghanistan, saying it can help ensure peace, prosperity and stability in the war- ravaged country which has been facing security challenges after NATO ended its 13-year combat mission.

In an address at the Indian Council of World Affairs here, he also said that India can play a "huge role" in enhancing security in entire South Asia while identifying terrorism and radicalisation as major challenge being faced by the region.

"Continuing instability in Afghanistan and Pakistan is not only the responsibility of these two nations. These challenges should be addressed through greater bilateral parleys," Ban said.
While the last para provides some solace to Bakis the first two would cause a lot of khujli.

That much is obvious. SSridhar sir is pointing to the exact contours of paki behaviour based on their rhetoric. The paki army will hide behind AQ/IS groups that suddenly declare their existence to commit terrorism on India -- if TTP raises the stakes with Paki army and does a few more peshawars, they would be too busy to do any of this nonsense. The pakis are already blaming India for TTP even when it is all the handiwork of the Paki army that the blowback from TTP is hitting them now, so that broken record will keep playing from now on. Of course, the more pakis take that line, the more plausible deniability they provide to anyone claiming to be TTP to hurt them.

US offers help to implement National Action Plan
Uncle Will Keep The Finger In MushPie
ISLAMABAD – The United States on Monday offered to help Pakistan implement the National Action Plan devised recently to counter terrorism.
The group discussed various US-Pakistan areas of cooperation, including counterterrorism, rule of law, counter-narcotics, and border management. Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Dan Feldman, National Security Council Senior Director Jeff Eggers, Ambassador Richard Olson and other senior US officials also participated in the working group. The US and Pakistani delegations explored ways to intensify the fight against terrorism and violent extremism and Pakistani officials outlined for the US delegation the provisions of the recently created National Action Plan on terrorism.
Ambassador Kaidanow highlighted areas in which US assistance can be used to support Pakistan’s effective implementation of the plan. The group also discussed collaborative means to combat terrorist financing and disrupt the illicit networks that supply components for the creation of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in Pakistan and the region. He emphasised that, “the United States stands with Pakistan against the violence and criminality of groups that attack innocent school children, target civilians and law enforcement personnel, and undermine the stability and prosperity of Pakistan. We hope to share our mutual experience in ensuring the safety and security of our citizens, strengthening and protecting our borders, and building a secure future for our people.”The working group is an important part of the US-Pakistan strategic dialogue. This is the fourth time the group has met since its inception in March 2010. He and Interior Secretary Shahid concluded by agreeing to further intensive discussions on law enforcement and counterterrorism throughout 2015. The US affirmed continued US support and assistance to strengthen the capacity of civilian agencies involved in counterterrorism efforts in Pakistan. The meeting was held hours before the arrival of US Secretary of State John Kerry here on a two-day visit to Pakistan primarily to participate in strategic dialogues between the two countries.

Of course, the more pakis take that line, the more plausible deniability they provide to anyone claiming to be TTP to hurt them.

i get what SSji pointed out. If Pakis were very confident of it, they would have just done it. No need to use such veiled threats as negotiation strategy. It only indicates that they are little unsure and scared of the response of Modi-Doval combo to any misadventure. Thats why I say let us call their bluff. That said, Pukis are predictable. One could predict PA bringing AQ South Asia into their fold the day QA South Asia was formed. The strings played by PA were obvious in the very statement given by AQ. SSN / SSBN was also in the new a while ago. Cheen will give it to Pukis to poke at desh - especially after losing their unrivelled influence in SL to India.

Economics was the basis of Pakistan’s creation

...Pakistan was created not because its founding fathers thought that ‘Islam was in danger’ but for entirely economic reasons. The present rise of extremism is also owing to economic and political reasons.

They are just creating grounds for plausible deniability now --- the ramping up of the violence and terrorism is slated for the remainder of 2015. Being paki cretins, they will follow through predictably after believing that they have created plausible deniability for their actions with their dossiers about "proof of Indian involvement in terrorism in Pakistan" which they have handed over to Kerrey, who will no doubt find all of it very plausible in the finest tradition of the US state dept. mofos.

"omar_qureishi: Imran Khan 'broke bread' with students of Mufti Saeed's madrassa the day after his nikah - but couldn't make it to welcome back APS students"

Civilian or military govt. in pakistan makes no difference to India -- all of them openly fund and support Pakistani terrorist groups to operate in India. Old story and all for this forum anyway.

Of course, the "welcome back of the APS students" mentioned in the tweet was this donkey and pony show by the Pak Army with Raheel Sharief "welcoming the students back", and the goat herders who call themselves political activists in Pakistan, like Ejaz Haider, Mosharraf Zaidi, Marvi Sirmed and this Omar Qureishi and their ilk are ecstatic about how Raheel Sharief has done such an "exceptional thing". Right.

Economic disparity and threat existed ever since first MBQ converted first Indian to Islam. Beside Economic, intellectual deficit was another huge factor in making/mocking Pakistan.

I had heard of this shocking statistic earlier, but was stunned again when this was discussed on a radio show on my drive to work this morning.

Which is that on average, 22 US servicemen veterans are committing suicide every day. That is almost one every hour.

Some, perhaps many, of these veterans are from the Paki-Afghan theater where they were there in the first place only because of the wicked schemes cooked up by rabid Paki jernails in the last three decades.

That these same Paki jernails continue to be feted and funded and kept immune from repercussions by the Foggy Musharraf State Dept. idiots is beyond shameful.

BTW, I recall Dr. Christine Fair mentioning that her brother works as a military recruiter. For those in the know, a US military recruiter is considered to be one of the most stressful postings in the military, more so when you have to explain to the recruits this shocking statistic about ongoing suicides.

Funny Pak military rant about Umrikan Congressmen misusing freedom of expression to malign Pak Army

http://www.thenews.com.pk/Todays-News-1 ... ign-policy
Islamabad takes paradigm shift in foreign policy
According to the sources, the American Congressmen have been taking undue advantage :rotfl: of the universal rights for freedom of expression in a bid to censure Pakistan and have been urging the successive US presidents to turn their back on Pakistan because it (Pakistan) has potential to collapse, and instead build meaningful relations with India, which, in their judgement, has all the prospects to become the strategic centre of gravity for the region. Similar unreasonable use—or misuse—of freedom of expression has also been continuously relied upon by many other significant officials of the US to include US Congressional Panel Chairman (Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Asia and the Pacific in 2013), Steve Chabot, a Republican from Ohio and the US State Office official Robert Blake, who have been propagating about the so-called basic divergences of the US government on vital issues with Pakistan. :(( :((

I am not sure military recruiting is any more stressful than facing artillery fire, but I guess the context is desk jobs in the military.

I have heard the difficult nature of that job comes from having to meet aggressive recruitment quotas.

We believe the United States can play a greater role in encouraging the Pakistani government to address this alarming situation through legal reform and better law enforcement. A Pakistan that respects the fundamental freedoms of all its citizens will be more stable and prosperous, a better guarantor of the rights of its citizens, and a stronger partner for the United States.
ROFL, and these pompous academic aholes are saying all this with a straight face -- is this some excuse to start funding pakistan again? What kind of influence do these morons think the US has on the pakis? Let them first see if Qadri goes to trial for assassinating the punjab governor -- perhaps the US can part with 10 Billion$ and make Pakistan an enlightened and moderate place like it was under Musharraf's musharraf.

If these academics had figured all this out in 1970, they would have actually made a difference -- and I am glad these fellows were clueless back then as they are now. The more you see the cretins in the US academia, the more you realize why college degrees are pretty worthless these days.

This "strong and stable pakistan" line was the one being trotted out by the worthless clerk MMS and his minions when he was warming the seat for Rahul Gandhi.

Paaaaki Islami Mahaaa Haarami Linkami; Massa Controleth All Salwar & Pajamis

Pakistan’s political history in the words of Abida Hussain
Narrating more incidents from the book, Abida Hussain quipped that even though changes are occurring in Pakistan, Washington’s information on these changes is two steps ahead of the rest of the world and four steps ahead of Pakistan. “They know when a government will be sent packing and which one will come next,” she said. She said in 1993, President Ishaq Khan dismissed Nawaz Sharif’s government but the Supreme Court restored it.“I went to the United States and had a meeting with a security adviser of the US government. I said to him that it was the remarkable achievement that the judiciary has restored the government. The US adviser suggested that Nawaz Sharif should hold fresh elections and after a month we had to go for new elections,” she said.
The representative of Islamabad Green, a non-governmental organisation, Dushka Syed asked Abida Hussain about the meeting between of the then chief of army staff General Asif Nawaz Janjua, and US defense secretary Dick Cheney in 1992.Abida Hussain said that she was Pakistan’s ambassador to the US at the time. General Janjua came to Washington during a time when there was a lot of pressure to rollback the nuclear programme. She said in the meeting, Cheney asked his staff to leave the room and she was hoping the General Janjua would not ask her to leave as well. “The general said I should leave because it would be discourteous. After the meeting, I said to General Asif let me guess, Cheney offered his support to help you come to power. The general was shocked. He asked me if Cheney told me,” she said.

Why is Sharif crying..?

कभी आता था, उनके रोने पर प्यार।
अब उनके प्यार पर रोना आता है।

The above story and photo is from the following alqt كيري يزور باكستان لبحث التعاون ضد الإرهاب

Few things I noticed ..
- First - In the title and the story.. I read and LoL'ed to read "Bakistan".. (The realized that unlike urdu script it is arabic script .. and Pakistan is "Bakistan" :D
(The Title says "Kerry to visit Bakistan to discuss (cooperation against) terrorism)

- second - I didn't realize I can understand more Arabic than I thought,,,
- Third - Story talks about terrorism and not much else..(LeT is mentioned by name, for example).. Fairly harsh with no effort to save any H&D for pak  no == with India at all... (I think Kerry's quote about Modi (that he is a "visionary") really bugging Paki's ..)

Some quotes in the article.. for example " after the attack by Taliban .. (No mention of India) December 16, which killed 150 people, including 134 students. ... In war agianst "terror" "double game" in the by supporting some elements of the Taliban ..."Pakistan must fight ALL terrorist which threaten Pakistan, Afghanistan, INDIAN and US ..equally.. (LET is named)..Kerry is supposed to have told them..."

Only H&D saving part I can find .. in another news item from Pak.. Kerry seem to have added ("India and Pakistan must a diplomatic solution for Cashmere..." ) (Now this can be just Kerry being Kerry which reporters may like to add to do == )

India helping terrorists in Pakistan: Khawaja Asif
Building on recent accusatory statements by government representatives, Federal Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Monday claimed that India was helping terrorist groups in Pakistan to carry out "heinous acts".
In an interview on DawnNews’s programme News Eye, the minister alleged that India "has designs on Pakistan".
“The Taliban have links with India. Also, India’s involvement in the insurgency in Balochistan cannot be ignored,” he said.
When asked to provide evidence for his claim, the minister dodged the question and proceeded to claim that a low intensity war was underway.
He stated that his allegations were based as much on conviction as on experience.......
