Confederate flag flies proudly over the South Carolina Capitol
Commentators on social media are calling for the Confederate flag that remained flying outside South Carolina's state house this afternoon after nine people were shot dead at the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina, to be removed on the grounds that it is "insulting" to the victims of the shooting. Gov. Nikki Haley, who was in tears during a news conference this morning on the mass shooting at the historically black church, previously rejected the notion of removing the flag at a debate last year, saying it was a "sensitive issue" but that she didn't believe the flag presented an image problem for the state because she never had "one conversation with a single CEO about the Confederate flag.” Haley's press secretary told ABC News today, "In South Carolina, the governor does not have legal authority to alter the flag. Only the General Assembly can do that." The offices of South Carolina's General Assembly and South Carolina Lt. Gov. Henry D. McMaster did not immediately respond to ABC News' requests for comment.South Carolina, which is one of five states that still doesn't have a state hate crime law,

take the pool of gun owners in USA (huge)
take the subset who are into white militias (big)
take the subset who are into white militia + racist activity (smaller)
take the subset who are all that + willing to 'go down fighting' and turn their guns on blacks (even smaller)
take the subset who are all that + mental issues

problem is the 1st layer enjoys political patronage and clout
2nd layer is benign neglect unless they are perceived as a threat by EJs, which is when FBI/SWAT targets them mercilessly but otherwise left alone to play in the woods and hoard armouries.

so its inevitable there will be leaks into the 3rd layer (hateful and loathesome but benign) and 4th layer (really dangerous) and the 5th layer - random freakishly insane.

Roof spent about an hour at the historic AME church before the massacre, attending the prayer meeting with his eventual victims, Charleston police Chief Greg Mullen said.

Witnesses told investigators the gunman stood up and said he was there "to shoot black people," a law enforcement official said.

"You rape our women, and you're taking over our country. And you have to go," Sylvia Johnson, a cousin of the church's slain pastor, said Roof told his victims, according to CNN affiliate WIS.

The majority in South Carolina still proudly wave the flag of slavery, hate, treason, divisivity and ultimately, of being losers Baptist fundamentalists. Which is why BMW and Mercedes have established plants there. I am boycotting Mercedes and BMW products.

Unfair!! Chinese-American brothers arrested for emulating Police
The man was just trying to buy a homeless guy some dinner.
Wednesday night, Heirberto Chavez walked into New Panda Restaurant near Port Authority to pick up an order of wings and fries that he had already paid for. While walking in, a homeless man asked him for $2.75 for a meal. Chavez put a $5 bill on the counter, but was only given $1.25 as change. The incident got bad quickly, as two brothers who work at the shop attacked him: "This thing went from zero to 60 real quick. It escalated from an argument to them hitting me and then using the Taser," he told the Post. "As I’m leaving, they kept coming towards me. We were having words, but nothing physical happened until I got to the door. Then they started swinging at me."
The brothers, still in their aprons, chased Chavez down 9th Avenue, failing and then succeeding in tasing him. Chavez says at least two other staffers from the store joined in. Chavez was bruised, bleeding from the mouth and burned on the back of his neck.
Port Authority cop Katherine Acevedo witnessed the scene and apprehended the brothers Gary and Robert Zheng. Both were charged with assault and weapons possession.

The Charleston Shooting Should Bring Down the Confederate Flag in South Carolina

Chicago Police get target practice
CHICAGO (AP) — A retired judge has released dashboard camera video from a Chicago Police car that shows a white officer repeatedly firing his handgun into a car full of black youths who had been pulled over for speeding and posed no apparent threat. The judge, who handled a criminal trial of one of the teens, released the December 2013 video as the department has been offering assurances about police conduct while refusing to turn over dash-cam videos itself. Two teenagers were injured in the shooting and left lying, handcuffed and bleeding, in the street with no apparent effort to get them urgent medical treatment. Their families, who sued the city in federal court, allege officers forcibly removed them later from a hospital while they still were recovering and put them through lengthy questioning even though one was crying out in pain and the other was bleeding so profusely he had to be taken back to the hospital. The city and police department got a judge to issue a protective order to keep the video from being released by any parties to the civil case, which resulted in a $360,000 settlement. But that did not prohibit former Cook County Judge Andrew Berman from releasing the video, which had been introduced as evidence in the trial he handled of one of the teens. The boy was acquitted of possession of a stolen vehicle and misdemeanor criminal trespass to a vehicle. (must have been related to Salman Khan and Jayalalittaa??) Berman said he felt obligated to make the video public and gave it to The Chicago Reporter magazine, which first reported on it Thursday (http://bit.ly/1BldEnv ). The retired judge told The Associated Press "it just showed a reckless and callous disregard for human life by somebody who is sworn to serve and protect." "No one knows for sure, but my strong gut feeling is that these shots never would have been fired if the kids in the car were white," Berman said. The shooting, one of hundreds in a city struggling with violence, drew little attention at the time. But the release of the video has placed it among the growing number of instances of questionable police conduct against African Americans nationwide. The officer, identified in court papers as Marco Proano, arrived on the scene after another patrol car already had stopped the vehicle, and his dash-cam video shows a scene that appears to be under control. Proano then gets out of his vehicle with his handgun raised and pointed at the car, which reverses up the street and away from the officers. Proano fires multiple times — more than a dozen, according to the families' attorney — as the car skids sideways and hits a street light. The car, which officers say they spotted speeding, turned out to be stolen. Police say a weapon was recovered at the scene, though the families' attorney, Timothy Fiscella, says it was a pellet gun and was never visible or brandished at the officers. A police statement at the time also said the officer opened fire out of fear that the "occupants who had been in the vehicle were in a position to sustain great bodily harm." The civil suit brought by the teens' families says Proano fired "without provocation, cause or justification of any kind." One of the teens was struck in the shoulder. Two other bullets grazed his forehead and cheek. The other injured teen was shot in his hip and heel. Proano, who admits firing the shots but denies the suit's claims of excessive force and constitutional rights violations, was moved to desk duty during an investigation by the Independent Police Review Authority, which remains ongoing. His attorneys did not respond to requests for comment. Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy said last month that the force has taken steps to lessen tension with the community and that there's been a drop in officer-involved shootings in recent years.
(read the italics part carefully - the number is apparently so high that they can track the statistics!)

Note that the car involved above was a stolen car.

It is incredible that no one on SeeNN or any of the channels are interviewing the neighbours and people who knew the family of the killer in south carolina -- they were doing this and more in the case of the african-american kid who was the victim of the cop shooting. Suddenly, it is all about the "love and forgiveness of the gospel" as spewed by the actual victims of the shooting, and a complete blackout on the racist scumbag shooter and the racist state government that refused to fly the racist confederate flag at half mast. Land of the free and home of the brave, indeed. Thoo.

It cyaint be terrism if it is done by C2A2WBs.
..But do the thought experiment: If this attack on the church in Charleston had been conducted by a Muslim man shouting "Allahu akbar," what is already a big news story would have become even bigger, as it would appear to fit so well into the political and media narrative that Muslim militants are the major terrorist problem in the United States.

That's a false narrative, as it turns out. In fact, deadly acts of terrorism by virulent racists and anti-government extremists have been more common in the United States than deadly acts of jihadist terrorism since 9/11. There is something particularly shocking in a multiracial, multiethnic, multireligious society about murdering people simply because of who they are. That's true whether it's African-Americans in Charleston attending a Bible study group or spectators at the Boston Marathon. These attacks are acts designed to terrorize, and we should call them such.

According to a count by New America, since 9/11, 26 people have been killed in jihadist terrorist attacks in the United States, while extremist right-wing racists and anti-government militants have killed 48, if we include the nine people who were killed in the attack in Charleston, which is being investigated as a hate crime. Last year alone saw four such deadly extremist right-wing attacks that killed eight people.

• On April 13, 2014, Frazier Glenn Cross shot and killed a 14-year-old boy and his grandfather at the Jewish Community Center in Kansas City and then drove to a Jewish retirement community, where he killed a third person, authorities say. Reports say Cross shouted "Heil Hitler" after he was taken into custody. He has pleaded not guilty.
• On June 8, 2014, married couple Jerad and Amanda Miller killed two police officers in an ambush at a pizza restaurant in Las Vegas and also killed another person at a Walmart as they left the scene before committing suicide. The shooters possessed white supremacist paraphernalia and had previously spoken of targeting law enforcement officers and expressed militant views, according to their neighbors.
• On September 12, 2014, a police officer was killed in a shooting at the Blooming Grove police barracks in Pennsylvania. State Police Commissioner Frank Noonan identified Eric Frein as a suspect. Noonan said that Frein "has made statements about wanting to kill law enforcement officers and also to commit mass acts of murder" and "has expressed anti-government leanings in the past, especially toward law enforcement." Frein was taken into custody after seven weeks on the run. Prosecutors added terrorism charges against Frein, citing a letter in which he allegedly called for a revolution. He has pleaded not guilty.
• On November 22, 2014, Curtis Wade Holley ambushed and killed a police officer in Tallahassee, Florida. According to local police, Holley had planned the ambush, held anti-government political beliefs and had made previous threats against police that had put him on a watch list. Holley was killed by police officers in a shootout.
In addition, since 9/11, none of the roughly 290 people indicted or convicted in the United States of some act of jihadist terrorism has acquired or used chemical or biological weapons, while 13 people motivated by right-wing extremist ideology, one person motivated by left-wing extremist ideology, and two with idiosyncratic beliefs used or acquired such weapons or their precursors.
Although a variety of left-wing militants and environmental extremists have carried out violent attacks for political reasons against property and people since 9/11, none has been linked to a deadly attack, according to research by New America. Jihadist violence continues to dominate the news and the attention of policymakers. Some of this is quite understandable. After all, on 9/11, al Qaeda killed almost 3,000 people.

Judge remembers 'victims on the other side'
Gosnell, now the county's chief magistrate, drew the ire of many people watching Friday's initial court appearance for mass murder suspect Dylann Roof when he talked about the nine dead victims in the shooting, then added that "we also have victims on the other side." The Roof family didn't ask to become part of this tragedy, and they will need help too, Gosnell said. The next scheduled court date for the Roof case is October 23.
The difference is that in this case, the shooter will serve at least some time in jail.

Unlike Salman Khan.

And now this:
Lisa Maria Garza, DALLAS (Reuters) - A National Rifle Association executive in Texas has come under fire for suggesting that a South Carolina lawmaker and pastor slain with eight members of his congregation bears some of the blame for his opposition to permitting concealed handguns in church.

Houston-based lawyer Charles Cotton, listed as a national NRA board member on the gun lobby's website, made the comments in an online chat room he administers called texaschlforum.com, a discussion board devoted to gun rights and firearms issues.
In an online thread about Wednesday night's mass shooting at the Emanuel African Methodist Church in Charleston, Cotton said that one of the nine people slain, church pastor and Democratic state Senator Clementa Pinckney, had voted against legislation in 2011 that would have allowed concealed possession of handguns in restaurants, day-care centers and churches.
"Eight of his church members who might be alive if he had expressly allowed members to carry handguns in church are dead," Cotton wrote.
Wouldn't have happened at a Lashkar-e-Toiba Prayer and Goat-lovin' Session, surely.

The secularism in America reminds me of something. On subject of poverty, a kid was asked to write an essay wherein he wrote that that he is so poor that even his gardener is poor and his driver is poor and so on and on. The (unborn) roots and (invisible) pillars of (undefined) secularism are very strong in USA, so strong that even South America, Europe, Australia are secular; even allies Soodi is secular and even terror munna Pakistan is secular. However, in society when govt works for removing poverty then what is the point of poverty literature no? What stops America from being secular when it is the most powerful country, the only superpower, in the whole world.

Oh! This guy in Charleston is obviously not an AMERICAN - he's one of dem durned fawrners - aliens. Look at him burning Old Glory.

Thing I can't understand is where they were taking him in a posh biz-jet. To meet the POTUS? And that too, in the passenger cabin, not the cargo hold.
Face of evil!!! Look at his eyes! The 21 year old suspected of shooting dead 9 people at a South Carolina church on Wednesday night, Dylann Roof, is pictured above being escorted in prison stripes, chains, handcuffs & a bullet-proof vest onto a plane to be extradited from North Carolina to South Carolina.
So they used a plane to take this pos 150 MILES??? Wonder if it had F-35 escorts.

There are not enough gun and shootings in America and it's because of laws that demand a 48-hour waiting period for handgun purchases. And so this governor decided to repeal those laws.

Gov. Walker ends decades-old waiting period for handguns

After signing two bills that loosen Wisconsin's gun laws, Gov. Scott Walker defended the timing of his public event Wednesday, saying it had been scheduled before nine people were shot and killed last week in a South Carolina church.

With his signature, the all-but-certain Republican presidential candidate eliminated the state's 48-hour waiting period for handgun purchases and allowed off-duty, retired and out-of-state police officers to carry firearms on school grounds. Both measures passed earlier this month in the GOP-majority Legislature with bipartisan support.

Los Angeles sheriff's deputies found guilty in jail beating

Three Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies were convicted Wednesday in federal court in the beating of a bloody, handcuffed jail visitor and an attempt to cover it up.

Sgt. Eric Gonzalez and deputies Sussie Ayala and Fernando Luviano were found guilty of deprivation of civil rights and falsification of records in the 2011 beating of Gabriel Carrillo. Gonzalez and Ayala were also convicted of conspiracy to violate constitutional rights.

...

The convictions were the latest in a federal investigation of civil rights abuses and corruption at the nation's largest sheriff's department.

Nearly two-dozen members of the department, including the former second-in-command, have been charged with crimes ranging from beatings to obstruction of justice.

Connecticut man gets eight years for breaking baby daughter's limbs

A Connecticut man convicted of breaking his 4-month-old daughter's arms, legs and ribs was sentenced to eight years in prison on Wednesday, and ordered to take anger management classes and undergo a complete mental evaluation.

...

He and his wife, Stephanie Kearney, had attempted to explain their daughter's multiple injuries by saying they were the results of various accidents, like rolling over while asleep, and genetic fragility.

Kearney, 25, was found not guilty of any crimes.

Before he was sentenced, Wilkerson pleaded with the judge for leniency, saying "I love my family and I would never do anything to hurt them."

Bobby Jindal presidential bid sparks Twitter mockery
Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal's announcement that he is entering the Republican presidential race has become the subject of online mockery.
Mr Jindal launched his campaign with a call for a uniform US identity, saying he disliked Americans being identified by origin, ethnicity or wealth.
The hashtag #BobbyJindalisSoWhite began trending on Twitter after the launch.
The tweets poked fun at Mr Jindal's speech and alleged attempts to distance himself from his Indian heritage.....
Gautam
PS Some of the good ones: #BobbyJindalisSoWhite 1.that he mispronounces his own name 2. that he couldn't win a spelling bee if he tried. 3.he writes ''Ghandi' instead of Gandhi. 4. Piyush Becomes Bobby, Hindu Became Catholic, Indian Became American, Chameleon Became Presidential Candidate, 5. that when he's asked if he's Indian, he says "Yes, I'm 1/16th Cherokee." 6. that Nikki Haley calls him a "sell-out."

Recent editorials from Alabama newspapers:

June 24

Anniston (Alabama) Star on Confederate flag battle:

The Confederate battle flag is rapidly exiting state property across the South this week for much the same reason it was raised in those locales between 50 and 60 years ago. That reason, political symbolism.

Many Southern politicians have decided the flag is a “distraction,” which is how a spokeswoman for Gov. Robert Bentley put it Wednesday in explaining why the governor removed four Confederate flags from the grounds of the Alabama State Capitol.

It wasn’t always this way.

Starting in the mid-1950s, sweeping changes deeply unsettled much of the white South. Legalized segregation was falling apart. Rules that kept African-Americans as second-class (or worse) citizens across the South were ending. The federal government, the enforcer of these changes, was seen as the enemy.

Raising a rebel flag in state capitals like Montgomery, Jackson, Miss., Columbia, S.C., and elsewhere as politicians did in the 1950s and 1960s was a useful symbol. It was a fist raised in anger toward a despised enemy - Washington, D.C. It was a Southern politician’s shorthand, an appeal to the emotions of their white constituents who were rattled by a falling away of an old order. Never mind that many of those constituents also had a deeper, more emotional attachment to the flag. It was a valued reminder of a family member who, like soldiers in centuries’ past, had no great stake in the war. Those common fighting men merely did their best to go where their commanders told them to go, fight who their commanders told them to fight and to do so while showing tremendous bravery.

Southern politicians of the 1950s and 1960s are the biggest culprits here. They played on emotions and toyed with symbols to score cheap political points. It’s an old game, but one Southern politicians play so well.

Alas, the Confederate flag symbol only carried them so far. Those fighting for civil rights for black Southerners eventually won the day. Many of the politicians who raised those flags quietly began to change their tune by the 1970s, yet the symbol stayed atop many flagpoles on state property.

Times have changed. Now the Confederate battle flag is seen as a political symbol in the opposite direction, something that could damage a state’s reputation. In the wake of a racially motivated killing of nine African-American worshippers in a Charleston, S.C., church last week, South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley called for the Confederate battle flag to come down from its prominent spot near the state Capitol. Other Southern states, including Mississippi, Tennessee and Alabama, have followed suit.

Count it as progress that these Southern states have opted to put this symbol in its proper context within historical museums. It’s an acknowledgement that the Confederate battle flag placed on state property divides far more people than it brings together.

Don’t imagine that our Southern politicians have dropped their use of symbolism, however.

It’s not always a flag, either. Every Southern state except for Arkansas has refused to take part in the Affordable Care Act. In the process, millions of working Southerners are denied the opportunity to purchase affordable health insurance. In Alabama, the figure is 177,000, according to the Obama administration. These anti-Obamacare Southern governors prefer defying D.C. rather than looking after the health of their own people. This, too, is a fist raised against the federal government.

Isn't that the core ideology of fascism and other totalitarian ideas? The Anglo's do not like diversity, they think it dangerous as they want their culture, values and religion to be the national (universal) standard. However, it's tricky for whites to advocate this openly as it reveals their racism, so here comes BJ to their rescue. A 'brown' man champions Anglo identity.

Jindal is saying that preemptively for his own political benefit so that he can call himself a 100% american rather than Indian-American, which is how most of his racist republican constituency is going to view him, especially those outside Louisiana where they do not know anything about it.

"#BobbyJindalIsSoWhite teacher used to use him as a chalk on board," said one Twitter user named aindrila. Another user, Yusuf B, said: "#BobbyJindalIsSoWhite that we only see the outline of his body when he stands in front of a white wall."

OTOH, u have to give Gov. Nikki Haley credit. She managed to do what has not been done since 1870: Got the demikats and the publicans in SC to stand on either side of her as she called for the Traitorous Racists' flag to be trashed. That took guts, smarts, and courage: she will not be re-elected with that on her record in SC.

OT- Temporary sanity break: As I have said b4, all this is desi Lobster Mentality. The British-Americans don't call themselves British-American, the German-Americans no, the French-Americans no, the Australian-Americans no, nor the Belgian-Americans, the Dutch-Americans. Only the non-white citizens must wear the Yellow Badge like the Jewish-Europeans were forced to wear by the Nazis and the Fascists, for easy identification and hauling off to the gas chambers. And the dhimmis "back home" get their langotis in a knot if anyone says, hey, I am what I am. I live here, I fart here, I poo here, I pay taxes here, I vote here, I am as much Americans as yo momma. Which is all that Gov. J. is saying.

This does not make him ANY LESS Indian-American, but that is for resident non-Indians to recognize if they get their heads out of their dhimmified musharrafs long enough to breathe oxygen.

The Nazis most certainly did ***NOT** want lack of diversity. They wanted the blond blue-eyed pink-assed Haryans to be Uber Alles. What the Fascists wanted I have no idea, they still rule New Jersey where they just whipsawed a poor Indian-American kid out of his hard-earned (4.3GPA) right to give the valedictorian address by inventing all sorts of slander against him, and suspending him for 5 days which just happened to include the graduation day.

Some of us sent strong letters to the Board Superintendent, a Mafia twerp. I asked ppl here to help, but they were too busily occupied with (never mind, everyone has a right to have their heads up wherever they choose). There is a reason why the Mafia gets away with that in New Jersey, where Indians are some of the richest families - the Indians won't lift a finger to help their own. Their CHILDREN spoke up boldly and called the Mafia School Board the liars that they were, but the parents were strictly in head-up-musharraf mode, instead of suing the knickers off the Mafia school "officials".
Whaat 2 dooo? V are like that onlee! Nothing can be done onlee! :(( :((
Remember the case of the freshman in Rutgers who blew the whistle on the fact that the freshman dorm at Rutgers U, NJ was a sodomy whorehouse? He was sent to jail while the 30-year-old bugger (literal description) got off scot-free. A lot of dhimmified Politically Correct brain-white-washed desi idiots STILL describe the poor kid as the "horrible monster" etc. (I mean as of 3 days ago). If desis want to know why Indians are not respected, all they need to know is hold up a mirror.

Meanwhile, Long Hot Summer continues
(CNN)Who deliberately set a blaze that devoured a predominantly black Baptist church in Charlotte, North Carolina? And was it a hate crime? investigators are trying to find out Thursday, a day after a fire at Briar Creek Baptist Church. After combing the scene of the fire, they've determined it was arson and are searching for suspects, the Charlotte Fire Department said.

#Jindian:
1. Son of Indian immigrants who is anti-immigrant
2. Indian-American who feel ashamed when called Indian-American

BRadmins should add this word to BRF dictionary.
