One hopes Hindus keep out of these infra-Sikh issues. They do seem rather bizarre. But that is the culture of panjab. West or east.

From the slogans one can judge that these doing demonstration were trying to disturb Dushehra celebration using delaying tactics. Phagwara was the only area communal tension was almost non existent when whole Punjab was burning. These demos are well planned , intentional and financed by their no good patrons.

^To uncover US backing of Khalistan we need to understand the the path taken by US based Khalistanis like Ganga Singh Dhillon and Gurmeet Singh Aulakh. Dhillon has dropped out of sight for some years.

To Khushwant Singh's credit, he had confronted Dhillon one time and forcibly warned him to desist from fanning the separatist agitation as it would impact Sikh lives all over India.

Two articles on the discontent in Punjab:
http://www.dailyo.in/politics/guru-gran ... /6953.html
"How Badal can avoid another Khalistan in Punjab
Repressing free speech will fester fear and issues that can easily be resolved with an open dialogue."

http://www.dailyo.in/politics/punjab-cr ... /6956.html
"Punjab unrest: Protests will thin, bruised sentiments won’t
The unfolding tragedy has truly eclipsed the Shiromani Akali Dal's chances in the state polls."

From one of them:
It is an internal conflict that has little to do with Khalistan and everything to do with people's dissatisfaction with their leaders who are a poor representation of their aspirations as well as their faith, says, writer Amandeep Sandhu who has been working on a book on the state. The Sikh community has been organised in a layered power structure for three centuries. There are five takhts in the community; the high priests of these takhts have been oracles for the Sikhs on matters of religion, conflict, community building and society.

There are also the Panj Pyaras, the five chosen Khalsas that are the absolute supreme and are usually elected by the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabhandak Committee (SGPC), which is the central managing committee of Gurudwaras. These structures were laid down in place with the aim of community representation and placing power in the hands of people, just like the modern day democracy, rather in the hands of a chosen few high priests.

Over the last few decades, the SGPC has come under fire for increasing religious intolerance, high levels of corruption and aiding politicians especially the Akali Dal. The anger that we saw in Punjab over the last couple of days has been simmering for a long time coming.
As Gurudwaras become more jingoistic in their doctrine of religious philosophy, they are slowly losing their appeal to a number of people living in Punjab, especially the minorities and the Dalits, who prefer to go to various Deras instead as they offer them a more secular indoctrination and are ironically more accepting of them.

These Dera chiefs also play out an important role in politics as they have the power to influence voters. For example, when the Akal Takht issued directives to all Sikhs to cut tie with Ram Rahim and his followers in 2007, and filed a police case against him, he retaliated by urging all his followers to vote Congress in the upcoming assembly polls. The result of which was a majority of Congress seats in south Punjab, where most of his followers reside.
Majority of the Sikh anger is directed at the inability of the state to comprehend its issues and the low level of tolerance that it shows for dissent. In a healthy society, there will be debate and dialogue. People should be allowed to protest, the more the state tries to repress dialogue, the more issues will fester.

Series of tweets from Saurav Jha
RAND believes that Trinamool will have a say in India's Myanmar policies and AIADMK in Malaysia policies in future coalition govts. The Americans have been very active in Chennai and Kolkata by the way and they are using academic Tamil and Bengali expats to find their way.

I will encourage all "I wannabe like a red republican' to closely read this RAND report. https://t.co/wWLdIuMvZm

America is licking its lips at the prospect of a return to coalition governments. It's outreach to caste and regional parties has increased. Not that it is really complaining even at the moment, since it has been receiving steady CBMs on the import front.

And do note, the US DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency) seemed to have a very good idea of a growing 'Maoist insurgency' in Kerala even two years ago. CIA has interlocutors down to the level of even small organizations in India now. Their NGO network really came in handy.

India should not ignore the sikh Khalistan rising, especially at these times. Pakistan will try its best to re-ignite the sentiment again. India needs to get together with the govts of US, Britain and Canada and not let their countries act as bases for these khalistan sikh organizations. Seems they have a sizable presence than i expected. How can they still be fooled by Pakis after all they witnessed and whats going around in the world wrt Pak?

these so called dying embers are enough to embarrass Modi during his UK trip, such disgruntled elements along with kashmeris and EJ xtians and jehadi paki muslims can easily be coordinated and orchestrated by someone like the ISI to bring a bad press to Modi and India.

there are enough congi Indians waiting to rejoice at any discomfiture to Modi and the EJs will see it as a golden opportunity

the khalistanis are slowly regrouping and while they may not achieve their former momentum, it may still be enough to generate a bad press.

This happened in a north/central district of Karnataka yesterday. As usual after the march thru the city by a thousand rss volunteer (in full attire) Santosh ji (RSS man in BJP IN Karnataka) delivered the key note lecture (it was good).
Later, he spent time (with about 30 people only) taking questions from the local RSS leaders and updating them about the government policies. I was present as well as an invitee.

Some points that I remember

Five years to understand the system and filter the bad babu and moles
Next five years to build the country
Next five years to implement indic ideas into the system
Every village will be electrified in next 1-2 yr
No power shortage in 1-2 years (However States may have black out if they don’t want to pay for power, but it is available if willing to pay).

Roads pace will pick up.

Some volunteers were concerned and raised the point that peaceful are utilizing the benefits of the BJP Govt: like Jan dhan yojan, Mudra Bank loans

Foreign Policy: Even a tiny country with a few lakhs population has same voting rights in the UN as a country with a billion population. The recent meet in India of all pacific island nations recently should be seen in this light.
This year all gifts to foreign diplomats will be based on bhagavaTgeetha, next year ayUrveda, the next year on Upanishads, etc

All embassies have been given strict protocol instruction on how to conduct event…

Security: India has some 1500 island of which only 50 are inhabited. The southernmost tip of A & N islands is just 40 kms away from Malacca straits. Govt planning a naval base there due to its strategic importance.

Many IAS officers retiring because they have to work honestly.
He repeated that there is zero corruption in the top government political circles.
Asked the Karyakartas to identify honest officers in govt as they will have a special place in government appointments.
To me it felt like ti was a BR meet. The issues dicussed and the opinions expressed were very similar. I was tried to impress on the seniors there to make BR site popular among the younger RSS folks so they have easy access to indic thoughts online as well.

The 6 guys who desecrated guru granth sahib in Punjab had all received calls from Australia at the same time/day.

Wonderful interview of KPS Gill. Mostly in English, with some smattering of Punjabi.

".. Once we had visitors, senators from the US, visiting us to conduct an investigation. We took them to the DAV Police school, which had mainly orphans of policemen killed by the terrorists. They asked, who are these children? We told them these are the children of the policemen killed by terrorists. The inquiries stopped. Because Western civilization does not accept this thing. We think killing of a police officer is normal. Our society does not understand how it runs.."

Anti-cow slaughter activist murder; 1 more arrested
http://www.deccanherald.com/content/508 ... urder.html
Mangaluru, Oct 24, 2015, (PTI)

Another accused in the murder of a Bajrang Dal activist Prashanth Poojary involved in busting illegal slaughter houses was arrested today before he was to fly to Dubai from Mumbai airport.

Acting on a look-out circular set by Mangaluru Police to all airports across the country, 40-year-old Mohammad Imtiaz Gantalkatte was picked up by immigration officials at Mumbai airport, Additional Director General of Police Alok Mohan told reporters here.

A team has been sent to Mumbai to bring the accused back to Mangaluru for investigation, he said.

With this, nine persons have so far been arrested for the murder of Prashant Poojary, a 29-year old flower vendor who was brutally hacked to death by six bike-borne men at nearby Moodbidri on October nine.

Mangaluru Police Commissioner S Murugan had earlier said the accused were upset over Poojary's activities against illegal trafficking of cattle.

The brutal attack had happened 12 days after 50-year-old Mohammad Akhlaq was lynched by a mob at Dadri in Uttar Pradesh over beef eating rumours, that led to a nation-wide outrage.

A witness to the murder, Vaman Poojary, had allegedly committed suicide a week after Prashant Poojary's killing, with Bajrang Dal saying he was facing threats to his life.

Accusing Congress government in Karnataka of showing negligence in unearthing the "conspiracy" behind the murder, BJP has demanded handing over the case to CBI for probe.

I may be paranoid but I like to be prepared for the worst. The following has happened in the last 1 yr, not necessarily in chron. order
1. Media fanning Hindu Muslim Hatred
2. Hardik patel-reservation agitation
3. congis-AAP and deep state raising intolerance bogey
4. riots engineered in Varanasi, Kanpur, MP and Punjab
5. Awards being returned by darbari "intellectuals" claiming it is worse than emergency
6. Kejri as a trojan horse introduced as a Modi baiting leader
7. cow slaughter/ beef a hot button issue for Hindus brought to center stage
I think a stage is being set for large scale riots in several parts of the country with a major attack on Hindus happening in a way that Hindus are forced to react and blame is passed on to Modi forcing him to resign.
We need to game other possibilities as to how congress eco system will achieve this unrest in different parts of the country

And the US senators should have conducted an internal investigation back in Washington as to who authorized the training of the Khalistani terrorists in American facilities in collaboration with the ISI.

Kidnapped IB officer’s body found after a month - The Hindu
Bodies of Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer Bikash Singh and a trader, who were kidnapped by insurgents in Meghalaya’s South Garo Hills district a month ago, were found buried in a jungle.

“We have recovered body of the IB officer and that of the trader on Saturday from a shallow grave in a forested area in Bolchugre,” South Garo Hills SP Lakador Syiem said.

They were killed a day after their abduction on September 24 and the bodies were moderately decomposed, he said.

Family members of the victims have identified the bodies as those of Singh and cloth merchant Kamal Saha, Mr. Syiem said.

The two were kidnapped at gunpoint by members of the A’chik Songna An’pachakgipa Kotok (ASAK) militant outfit on September 24 from a place between Ampangre and Panda reserve forest in the district.

Mr. Syiem said the breakthrough came after police arrested and interrogated Sengran Shira, the brother of ASAK commander Sengbat Shira, who led them to the site where the duo were killed.

The bodies were handed over to the respective families after post-mortem.
The Nation salutes the brave IB officer who was martyred in the cause of service to our nation. Heartfelt sympathies to the families of the IB officer as well as the trader,

Cops never told Muslim youth to go to Pakistan: Eyewitnesses
The hospital has written over three letters to the police saying that Asif is not leaving the hospital even after he has completely recovered. Further, political leaders have been creating a nuisance in the hospital by gathering around Asif.

The allegation made by Asif that the police officials asked him to leave for Pakistan has also been proved false. Two Muslim men, who were present in the police station at the time of the incident, have testified against the boy.

Yes, in a democratic Western country, this would be huge news, overtaking anything else, barring a massive terrorist attack. In India, the response will be muted at least officially, and definitely in the media and among intellectuals. If there's commentary about their deaths, even one-tenth of the amount spent on Dadri etc, it would be a shocker. Imagine an Indian columnist or academic displaying empathy for these two people and their families.

Chhota Rajan surrender op was planned by NSA Ajit Doval who’s been trying to get evidence on Dawood from his most bitter rival
Chhota Rajan’s ‘surrender’ in Indonesia was facilitated by Indian agencies last Wednesday.
Rajendra Sadashiv Nikalje aka Chhota Rajan was travelling as Kumar Mohan from Sydney when he was ‘officially’ arrested at Bali airport on Sunday.
Chhota Rajan in a file photo. IbnliveChhota Rajan in a file photo. Ibnlive
Coinciding with his surrender (officially detained last Wednesday), the crime branch of Mumbai raided all residential and commercial properties of Khushi developers (Chhota Rajan’s construction company) and his politician brother Deepak Nikhalje’s flats in Mumbai.
Ajit Kumar Doval, the 70 year old National Security Advisor, is believed to be the brain behind the mission. Just a few days before Rajan’s arrest Doval is reported to have spoken to a few people claiming to be in Indonesia.
With the surrender/arrest of Chhota Rajan, who is unwell and struggling to escape from his rival gangs, the current regime is hoping to get crucial evidence of global terrorist Dawood and his activities.
Agencies are working overtime to throw concrete evidence of the presence of Dawood in Pakistan under the ISI protection.

· Ajit Kumar Doval, the former head of the Indian Intelligence Bureau (IB) has been trailing Chhota Rajan and his henchmen to get leaks on D gang’s activities for years.
· A media story brought him into limelight in 2008 when the IB reportedly planned to target Dawood Ibrahim at his daughter’s wedding with Javed Miandad’s son in Hyatt hotel, Dubai.
· Media reports had pointed out then that Doval worked out a plan for the IB to send Vicky Malhotra, a sharp shooter from Rajan gang, to target Dawood in Dubai.

There seems to be much more than what meets the eye here. Off course I agree that the NSA has played some crucial role here, especially since the fact that his past deeds as a spy/secret agent has been quite excellent. He was never a bureaucrat who oversees the work, but a real hands-on kind of a person.
1. I do get a feeling that the "arrest" may have been part of a deal between Chotta Rajan and our agencies. One thing age etc. may be catching up with him, and he has already survived a few murder attempts. What better move than to cooperate with the Indian agencies, and perhaps move to a secret location. Only thing Chotta Rajan may demand is that he is not handed over to Mumbai police, or housed in any prisons in Maharashtra. Off-course there could be raids and confiscation of a few properties, but still he (and his brother and relatives) can survive.
2. It is also a well known fact that Rajan's help has been taken by our own intelligence agencies. Was'nt Doval himself suspected to be present at a New Delhi safe house working a plan to finish of Dawood? And Mumbai Police played the spoil sport? May be the plan is to keep Chotta Rajan safe, but use his network to work against Dawood. For all you know a "second in command" may have already been put in place for Chotta Rajan's gang.
3. After reading the books by S. Hussain Zaidi (Dongri to Dubai & Byculla to Bangkok), the message I got was that even with "encounter specialists" etc. in full swing, Dawood's gang was pretty much left alone. Even the respective state governments of the 1990s to early 2000s was more interested in finishing of non-Dawood gangs in the underworld. Even the re-known sharp-shooters like Pradeep Sharma, Vijay Salaskar & Daya Nayak all seems to have actually focused on killing gang members from Dawood's rival gangs.
4. Dawood himself may have become a "spent bullet" by now, so perhaps GoI and NSA is working on finishing of his second rung leadership and his networks in India.

Sigh, only a pro-Paki news entity is putting very much efforts to decipher what is going on with Rajan's arrest, so I am forced to post articles on this issue from NDTV website. Indeed the first article is very informative.

Did Chhota Rajan Surrender to Protect Himself From Dawood?
The two countries do not have an extradition treaty, so it is likely that the Tilak Nagar don will be deported. Sources claimed that a lot of planning had gone into the arrest, with several Indian ministers flying to Indonesia over the past month or so to hammer out the terms on which Rajan's custody would be transferred to Indian authorities.

per TOI chart most of his close associates are either in jail (vicky malhotra) or have split and started their own gangs in south africa, kenya, malaysia etc. so he does not have much of a gang left and is vulnerable.

he could be useful as a mole to identify the D-company assets inside mumbai police and indsutrialist/political circles.

he should be flown straight to delhi under IB/RAW custody and never handed over to mumbai police.

Mean while at Mangalore...
Police make 10th arrest in Bajrang Dal activist murder case
The police gave his name as Bhadruddin Gantalkatte, who is the brother of another accused, Mohammed Imtiyaz Gantalkatte who was arrested at Mumbai airport on Saturday.
....
According to the police, Bhadruddin Gantalkatte, Mohammed Imtiyaz Gantalkatte and their five brothers are involved in beef trade in Moodbidri. There have been a few cases of illegal transport of cattle against them. A few years ago, one of their relatives was shot dead after he attacked a policeman with a sharp weapon that severed a part of the policeman’s hand

The Police firing incident seems to have been discussed in this thread earlier. The Anti-Naxal Force constable who fired, nearly lost his job and was even charged for murder. The state was pretty much in support of the cattle smuggler. And today we see that the entire family are into cattle smuggling.

Durga Puja not allowed in Bengal Village.

It will be hard to imagine but it's a fact that there's a village in West Bengal where Hindus are not allowed to organise Durga Puja festivities!

As per reports, Hindus in Nalhati village of Birbhum district have not been able to celebrate Durga Puja since 2012. It is not that the Hindus there do not want to celebrate the festival; they are in fact denied permission by the administration to hold Durga Puja.

As per reports in Navbharat Times and News X, the Muslim community in the village has pressurised the administration not to grant permission to the Hindu community to organise Durga Puja. And the administration, unofficially, argues that giving permission for Durga Puja could lead to communal tensions in the village.

This is because the administration had earlier denied permission to Muslims to carry out cow slaughter.

And in a tit for tat, the Muslim community demanded that the administration should not grant permission to Hindus as well to organise Durga Puja.

State Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who has expressed her opinion on growing instances of intolerance in the society, has so far maintained silence on the issue.

This is kind of becoming a test case for witness protection.

First witness in Chandrabose murder case turns hostile

Kerala's own version of Dilli-BMW/Salman's case. The two cases above is about inebriated drivers accidentally driving over the people. But not so in this case, the oiseule Mohammed Nisham is a Grade A psychopath, who as per the testimony of Anoop in front of a DM, methodically hunted down the poor watchman and rammed him with his Hummer, after beating him up with a nightstick. Chandrabose was in serious condition for three weeks, before passing away.

Oiseule is the same one who has videos of his 9 year old kid driving his Ferrari and had cases filed against him for that. Public sentiments are deeply against him and all his political backers seem to be treading carefully. The sentiments are such that I strongly feel his family will need protection, if this witness testimony thing lingers.

From what I read in the paper's today, witness Anoop's goof up in the court (deliberate or accidental) may weaken the prosecution case. One thing, his credibility as a witness can now be questioned. The court may not consider all his statements to be really true. Mohammed Nisham's life seems to be totally shady, as no one knowns how he made so much money. Some say, he has some kind of deal with cigarette manufacturers in the form of steady royalty payments. Chap I don't think works or runs any business directly.

There was an incident in which K.P had to haul his a$$ off from a hotel in Bangalore. This was after his girl friend filed a case for harrassment. Chap had asked the K.P's ASI and PCs their ranks before getting arrested. The ASI showed some vintage police behaviour right there at the hotel and got him into their unmarked vehicle. Few shots given in the vehicle, Nisham was fully cooperative.

To the credit of Kerala's people and media; it should be said that they have not kind of ignored the case (the same did not happen for Soumya though :( ). Nisham has been inside under the KAAPA act for quite some time now. My gut feeling is that he may at least get a life sentence, which may further get reduced with appeals etc.

If this chap walks, Shree Chennithala can kiss goodbye to his CM aspirations. I suspect he is benami for some leaders and old families of that belt. Could be completely wrong.

 I remember some serious pressure generated via MSM and social media, to get capital punishment for Govindachamy. Finally the capital punishment got handed out and hence the heat dissipated. Maybe that is why you felt so?

Govindachamy is now in Central Prison, Kannur - and the chap has become put on weight as well. The death sentence has been perhaps given by the Sessions Court. The state has not done any thing to execute the death sentence. Don't know if Chamy has filed an appeal (or I guess it happens automatically when death penalty is given). The government should have just followed through, ensured that appeals get heard and the sentence upheld.

Security agencies eye Israel spy balloons - Peerzada Abrar, The Hindu
Indian security agencies such as the National Security Guard, the Border Security Force and the Karnataka police have shown interest in acquiring balloon-based aerial surveillance systems from Israel’s RT, according to the Israeli company’s Bengaluru-based partner Mistral Solutions.

The aerostat system, widely used by the Israel Defence Forces and recently purchased by the U.S. army, includes a helium balloon that is tethered to a mobile ground platform and provides surveillance images from its airborne perch.

“Mistral’s forte in homeland security solutions has encouraged us to venture into the Indian market and we have so far received some positive signals from the various security and surveillance departments in India,” said Rami Shmueli, chief executive at RT.

India is expected to emerge as one of the largest players in homeland security systems by 2020, according to a report by Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India and KPMG.

The report projects that India, along with Britain, Germany and France, will outgrow the United States, which enjoys about 35 percent of global procurement in this field. The helium-inflatable device is equipped with imaging equipment having long-range day and night-time thermal capabilities.

December 16 gangrape: Juvenile convict to get quiet release
The juvenile convicted in the brutal December 16 gang rape may walk free a week before his three-year sentence ends next month as the Delhi government is keen to keep him away from public and media attention and the boy too fears he may be “lynched” the moment he leaves the “safety” of the reform home.

“He is scheduled to be released on December 15 but we know there will be a lot of attention on him that day. For his safety, we plan to release him a week in advance,” said a senior government official. An early release, however, is subject to permission from the Juvenile Justice Board, sources said.

They added the juvenile, now a young man of 20, will be handed over to his mother – native of a village in Uttar Pradesh – in a videographed event outside the Majnu Ka Tila shelter home. The family will be given Rs 20,000 and escorted to an undisclosed location.

The Intelligence Bureau, which had raised suspicions of the boy being radicalised after he was shifted with a juvenile apprehended for the Delhi high court blasts, will also be kept in the loop. In a report to the Centre on Friday, the Delhi government said the boys were lodged together on the orders of the Juvenile Justice Board.

HT had on July 11 quoted the shelter home staff as saying that the boy feared for his safety and did not want to leave the home. Counsellors said he had turned religious, grew a beard and offered namaz five times a day.

HT had also reported that he was lodged with a boy who was apprehended for the HC blasts. Based on the report, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi following which the IB conducted an inquiry. The two juveniles spent more than a year together before IB intervention. The staff of the home too had requested for them to be separated.

In its report, the Delhi government has said that the Juvenile Justice Board wanted the boy to be shifted to a better room with a television set. It named officers under whose guidance the juvenile was shifted and also named seven superintendents, four welfare officers and counsellors and one nurse who were posted there in the last three years. “It is evident that officials of the home are aware of the crisis situation and have brought it to the notice of the Juvenile Justice Board regularly for appropriate directions for keeping them separate,” the report said.

The juvenile was sent to the shelter home after being convicted in the rape and murder of a 23-year-old woman in a moving bus on the night of December 16, 2012 — a case that triggered nation-wide protests and led to tougher laws for crime against woman. Five other adults convicted for the crime were sentenced to death of whom one was found dead in his Tihar Jail cell in a suspected suicide.
