http://zeenews.india.com/news/punjab/aa ... 54123.htmlThe message in Punjabi says: “On February 12, the AAP will observe the birth anniversary of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale. On this day, all party workers should visit the nearest Gurdwaras and pledge to walk the path shown by Sants.” It further says the poster was issued by the AAP, Punjab, and “Bhindranwale, a lion. We will fulfil your dream”.

Re: Internal Security Watch
^^^ Is this for real? The punjabi translation by Zee is perfect though.
Though I can see why AAP would do it. I have noticed AAP commands a large support base in rural punjab where such slogans might give it a slight advantage.
But it would be disastrous in urban areas. The major reason Akali Dal aligned with BJP is because both parties have a different vote bank. If the above is AAP strategy, then it is advantage congress in Punjab now.

Re: Internal Security Watch
rural Sikhs idolize Bhinderanwale. All through the 80s it was a fact. His rallies attracted the biggest crowds.
AAP is just an opportunistic political party sponsored by Ford Foundation. What they got to lose by invoking B'wale.
Khalistan is dead because the spear tip of militancy was nipped. but the base of that, the crowd support is still alive and well.
the Sikh fundamentalists who supported Khalistan came to realize that unlike mughal times, when rebels had access to mountains, forests as well as plains. Just operating in plains of Punjab could not support a militancy movement against overwhelming majority state.

Re: Internal Security Watch
it's not sympathy per se, although I'm sympathetic towards loss of lives. it's waste of good fighting people.
you do not want to see good talent go to waste in such fashion.
stupid policies directed them to fight in wrong direction. Dharmic policies should have directed them to fight towards western direction.
most importantly, it's good that you pointed this out.
there is a need to take a 'principled stand' in light of the habitual 'rebel' nature of Sikhs. You need to convey 'as a society' that this is what is acceptable. this is wrong and this is right. And wrong will attract due retribution, but that should be at individual level since we need the society to function as it does.
they have been rebelling since a long time.
now if you ever visited that part of India, you will know 'principled' is what is in dire short supply.
nothing will work given that environment.

For P Ravi & the others who still appear to doubt - check out these Zee News reports with clear video & audio:ravip wrote: I am yet to come across a video which shows him shouting Anti-India Slogans. Do you have one, please direct me to the same. Yesterday on NDTV a CPI Leader who met HM stated that, when he asked HM on what basis Kumar was arrested, the HM is said to have replied that "based on video", but I am yet to see that video. What video is he speaking of? which is yet to come to public knowledge.

What is doctored in that video, just because it exposes ABVP goons it doesn't become a fake one. Prove it wrong than to delete it.

Since you made unverifiable claims about the contents of your video link, it is up to you to prove that the video was not doctored by providing the exact date and time this was taken, and the source of the video if it was a news organization, or the person who took the video, and any other details that prove the video is what you say it is. Otherwise, one can assume that you are just using this forum to spread some party-line propaganda, which makes you a shameless liar who is entirely ignorable.ravip wrote: What is doctored in that video, just because it exposes ABVP goons it doesn't become a fake one. Given this, no one needs to prove anything to you, when you all have done so far is prove that you are a bare-faced liar who has made unsubstantiated allegations based on a video that has not been time stamped or have enough detail to support any of your claims about your video, or indeed any of the claims made in the video's voiceover.

While you convict a person for sedition based on some video which is yet to come to public knowledge and most conveniently doesn't apply the same logic of verifying the time, date, angle, altitude, longitude, gravity etc... of video.

As for Kanhaiya Kumar, he is the Leader of the student political organization that was responsible for holding the event that has been caught on tape by multiple individuals, or maybe you have not heard of the word "responsibility", as is the norm for most anarchists and communists. So here is a primer: anyone who is in charge of a student organization that hosts a rally in which seditious slogans are raised has to answer for all that went on in that event. So KK owes an explanation for how (a) he accepted these known agents of terrorist groups in his organization (b) what was the extent of his knowledge of these terrorist activity on campus (c) how these terrorist groups got to sponsor the event under the banner of the group KK was leader of.
I am sure that if he is all that innocent as you claim, he has nothing to worry about...all he has to do is just spend a few more days of paid vacation at the taxpayer's expense in Delhi's finest prisons, and then can get back to rioting or setting things on fire, or whatever it is students at JNU do these days on campus.
added later: looks like you were just a commie troll and you got your just desserts. buh-bye.

He is seen shouting Azaadi Azaadi in those videos and his accomplices in unision shouting demands of Azaadi not only for Kashmir but for Kerala,Bengal,Punjab. Is it not a case of sedition ? or do you calim to be some kind of legal expert in this holding some sort of upper hand in law and we are all to take your claims that its not sedition without a question ?
But probably i think you are deaf and dumb or more possibly just feigning it.

Re: Internal Security Watch
in the good old days of naxals in telengana, as per old traditions the police seldom if ever would come inside the rec warangal campus respecting the academic enviroment. so naxals used that as a good haven to commit mayhem outside and take shelter inside until the heat was off. in one incident a bihar student was stabbed to death right in the evening mess by a group of such people by turning the lights off after pinpointing his table. for some years thereafter no students from bihar came to fill the 15 or so seats in recw. after such incidents and one of a landmine blowing up a jeep with a anti-naxal inspector right near the college gate, a police post was established right in the ground floor of one hostel to keep an eye on things.
ramana being a super senior will remember those days well.
looks like this tried and tested strategy is being used to form a network of 'safe houses' for roving anti-national elements
there might be instances of FTII type overstaying also using contacts and dadagiri to carve out a permanent residence for a pittance of hostel fees vs renting outside.
a thorough audit needs to be conducted of all JNU hostels to weed out these elements

I can assure you this strategy is used by a few anti social/gundagardi types in many government universities in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana & Orissa to this day.

RE:
khalistanis and the destabilisation of Punjab
A friend recently sent me a link to a Youtube channel where a young(ish) Sikh preacher based in the UK gives lectures on Sikh issues. Tbh the religious content is pretty good and harmless however when it comes to politics this man and his team are clearly pro-Bhindranwale and anti-Indian government. Violence is never directly condoned however the usual BS conspiracy theories such as "non Sikhs used to dress up as Sikhs in the 80s and kill Hindus in order to make Bhindranwale types look bad", "the rest of India is stealing Punjab's resources', 'RSS types are trying to change Sikhism', 'the government are getting Sikhs hooked on drugs', 'Modi is a mass murderer' etc etc are peddled.
Anyway, 'who cares' I hear people screaming however the group are holding a 'Sikh camp' outside Delhi next week.
Here are details of the event:
http://www.basicsofsikhi.com/basics-and ... 016-promo/
Should a foreign org like this be allowed to hold such an event in India and if not can anything be done to stop it? They basically distort history and distort the current political climate in India. And they are a British charity who have no place trying to cause trouble in India.

^^^Relax. It is pretty normal. I have heard the above propaganda from teenager days.
Sikhs of Canada and UK are a gone case. Many of them with similar ideologies visit India each year. Whom all will the govt stop?
Just to give you an idea. In Canada, the propaganda ( not only against India but also other religions as well ) can be very disturbing. In my relative circle, a senior citizen once went to one of the gurudwara's controlled by radicals. Despite being very religious he decided not to ever visit a gurudwara in Canada without knowing it's ideology. Yes, different gurudwara's in Canada can have different ideologies based on political leanings. Sad but true!!!
Also this mis-use of free speech is not restricted to sikhs alone. A few years ago there was a certain Kamlesh ahir from Vancouver ( Not posting any links because all are in punjabi ). She abused everyone( Brahmin, sikh, khatri etc. ) not connected to B.R. Ambedkar or Gautam Buddha.

Re: Internal Security Watch
i myself visited a gurudwara in a certain state in US east coast where a friend was sponsoring the days langar. some 300 people were sitting there for the prayer meeting before the meal. one radical took the mike and ranted for a while about khalistan though most of the crowd for lack of better option were forced to sit there despite lack of personal support. this was around 2002.
