Somehow the feeling is not the same watching the Hawk-Suryakiran as compared to the 9 "Kiran" aircraft "Suryakiran" display team..

Same with #11, LGB dropped on the left. Did 2 LGBs missed?

either the camera work is the WORST I have ever seen even by past DD iaf shows or there are misses....the R73 did not seem to explode anywhere near the slowly floating parachute flare or passed close by but did not explode.

Yes, camerawork is really really too much.. he didn't even show the LCA LGB drop, and only smoke was shown so you'd know it actually LGBed a target

Yep, with R73 I thought it was a miss, but guess what, even the Igla missile was not shown anywhere near the flare. Either they both missed (I don't think so) or this is the WORST camera work EVER.

Actually LCA's LGB's FLIR screen showcase was a great idea...would be better if the explosion could be seen as well. Probably missed...Wasn't LCA supposed to fire Derby BVR as well? Why can't DD invest a higher res better quality camera? Also train them? I am sure these exercises will be rehearsed a few days before the d-day. DD could have deputed the cameraman and working with IAF, could have known when & where to point the camera.

OSA-SK missile fire was a success...so Igla & R-73 probably missed the flares. Ouch!

DD really got a bad coverage , didnt follow up with AAM/SAM ended up showing Mantriji and people on podium . Weather too is not good.

Not sure what DD Camera man think if they are covering press conference , plus bad camera

Wondering why they are not firing 2 Missile at the target

They are cutting off just before the hit, thats what is happening. Because I see the audience clapping for each hit. They are screwing us guys watching the webcast/DD.

My Impression is the Camera ( not the camera man which is another story ) is good for closer towards podium event like Aerobatic or Helicopter Flying but covering other stuff like SAM or Missile Firing at longer distance or height the camera cannot follow it up with clarity.

In any case its satisfying to know in all cases the Rockets and Dumbs bomb works well , if not the missile or LGB :D

Either the cameraman is not showing the missile hits or their camera is so bad that a close and quick flyby by the missile is not visible. I think it is the latter. If the warhead is not exploding, how can we see the missile passing by with such poor resolution broadcast.

Wanted to Tweet IAF and request them to seat someone with the camera coordinator and hit the man on the head every time he shows PM/President when he should be showing the target. Same shit went on at IFR. Pathetic. Doordarshan camera persons have been doing a lousy job of Republic day parade flypasts for decades and have not learned a thing

Oh OK. Great for OSA then :)

I think IAF should employ Salt of the Earth and/or similar defense enthusiasts for media coverage of these events instead of stupid DD.
