We tested in 1974 no?

While one may argue that having our nuclear programme (civilian and military) up and running despite the cowardly assassination of HJB was a revenge of sorts, but I wonder if we'll ever see the day when such loud-mouthed, arrogant, murderous, racist sods will actually get the comeuppance they truly deserve and if we'll be able to do it.

Cincinnati Zoo brings in St. Louis Police to calm Gorilla

From the reporting (**NOT** "SWAT Team Rescues Baby Elmo From Man-Eating 400-lb Monster Godzilla!") UBCNews had immediately narrowed the possibilities to:
1) Boy is desi (from the superlative quality of parental control)
2) Boy is "other community" (from the calls for criminal prosecution, and probably execution of the family)
3) Boy is aa. (They are not saying anything about the family)

A glimpse of the brat's head seems to confirm (3). In fairness to the zoo, the chances of the brat having his head smashed, or being drowned, were getting close to 100%. They should have tossed Mom in to distract the gorilla, but that might have been more cruel to the animal than simply Fergusoning it. How many shots did they fire? Surely not fewer than the Ferguson standard 35? How did they avoid hitting the brat, or the animal falling on the brat?

Stay tuned for the Pain N Suffering and Negligence (they neglected to remove gravity from the 15-foot drop) lawsuits against the Zoo.

FORMER CIA OFFICER ROBERT T CROWLEY: Well, I call it as it see it.
At the time, it was our best shot. And we nailed Shastri as well.
Another cow-loving rag head
.
This is an astonishing confession. At that time in history, eliminating the US's enemies, real or perceived was par for the course. After all they even eliminated their own Pres,JFK ,in a conspiracy that involved right-wing politicos and businessmen, the CIA and the Mafia.

There is only one "Shastri" who mattered. Our redoubtable Lal Bahadur, who died in Jan '66 at Tashkent after signing the Peace treaty with Pak in the aftermath of the '65 war, ostensibly due to a heart attack. For a long time the Soviets were under suspicion as they were the hosts, but with so much interaction with the Pakis there, who knows if the ISI slipped Shastri something in his chai when he was with Ayub,at the behest of the CIA.

By this, eliminating the little giant of India who defeated Ayub and the CIA's masterplan to "liberate" J&K, a bonus was also gained in that suspicion fell on the hosts, the peacemakers, the Soviets. They had no motive for doing in Shastri as we were considered at that time to be in the Soviet camp being "non-aligned".

UBCN of course was right.. But that's not news. :P

Well.. no wonder the posts were deleted. The Tort Kings and Queens must have got into the act, to sue the Zoo. Surely they were negligent in not putting up an electrified fence with razor wire to keep out those competing for the 2016 Darwin Award.
The comment about 4-year-olds is accurate, which is why people in Ulan Bator put them on a leash when going to public places.

The gorilla clearly thought this was a little person escaping from a screaming mob, and desperately tried to get him out of range of the killers. The only intelligence in that entire space.

UCLA shooter was Mainak Sarkar.
UCLA gunman had accused slain professor of stealing his computer code, sources say.. a former doctoral student who had accused the victim of stealing his computer code and giving it to someone else, according to Los Angeles police.
Klug was an associate professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering and had been the target of Sarkar’s anger on social media for months. On March 10, Sarkar called the professor a “very sick person” who should not be trusted.

“William Klug, UCLA professor is not the kind of person when you think of a professor. He is a very sick person. I urge every new student coming to UCLA to stay away from this guy,” Sarkar wrote. “He made me really sick. Your enemy is my enemy. But your friend can do a lot more harm. Be careful about whom you trust.”
A source called the gunman’s accusations “absolutely untrue.”
“The idea that somebody took his ideas is absolutely psychotic,” the university source said.
Klug, who was described by friends as a kind and caring man, bent over backward to help Sarkar finish his dissertation and graduate even though the quality of his work was not stellar, the source added.
"Bill was extremely generous to this student, who was a subpar student,” the source said. “He helped him out and interceded for him academically."

In his doctoral dissertation, submitted in 2013, Sarkar expressed gratitude to Klug for his help and support.

A syllabus from 2010 lists Sarkar as one of two teaching assistants in a mechanical and aerospace engineering course, MAE: 101: Statics and Strength of Materials. Sarkar was listed in the 2014 doctoral commencement booklet with Klug as his advisor.

“Thank you for being my mentor,” he wrote in the acknowledgements.

Before enrolling at UCLA, Sarkar earned a master’s degree at Stanford University following an undergraduate degree in aerospace engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology in Kharagpur, according to his LinkedIn page. In the U.S., he also had a stint as a research assistant at the University of Texas and worked as a software developer.

After UCLA, Sarkar worked remotely as an engineering analyst for an Ohio-based rubber company, Endurica LLC. Will Mars, the company’s president, confirmed to The Times that Sarkar worked for Endurica until August 2014. He declined to provide more details.

On Sarkar’s LinkedIn page, however, Mars offered a more specific recommendation in a post published Aug. 1, 2014: “Mainak is a steady contributor with solid technical skills in FEA and software development. I appreciate the quality of his work, and his careful approach to new problems. He has worked for Endurica in an off-site situation requiring great trust and independence, and he has performed well under those conditions.”

Matthew Uy, who provided many “endorsements” of Sarkar on LinkedIn, said that he worked in a lab at UCLA that “collaborated” with Sarkar, then a graduate student. Uy said he had not spoken with or seen Sarkar in about five years and felt “pretty disconnected” from him in general.

Times staff writers Kate Mather and Veronica Rocha contributed to this report.
UCLA's commencement ceremonies and end-of-year events will now include mourning Klug, who was a devout Christian and a regular figure in organizing campus spiritual life. In 2012, according to the campus website, he moderated a forum  that his family and friends might find useful now. Its title: "Does God Care?: Seeking the Meaning of Life in the Midst of Suffering and Death."
The more I read about this the more eery it gets. I loved the part where UCLA professors called Sarkar a "subpar student". As in
Oh! He was one of all those subpar PhDs that we sell!

My name is Mainak Sarkar. I was this guy’s PhD student. We had personal differences. He cleverly stole all my code and gave it another student. He made me really sick.

'Your enemy is your enemy. But your friend can do a lot more harm. Be careful about whom you trust. Stay away from this sick guy.'

However, a source told the LA Times that Sarkar's claims were 'psychotic', adding that his characterization of Klug as a thief is 'absolutely untrue'.

Klug was dedicated to helping Sarkar pass the course, the source added, saying he bent over backwards to help even though the quality of Sarkar's work was often below par.

On the UCLA website Sarkar is listed as part of the Klug Research Group, a team of six postdoctoral and PhD students researching biomechanics.

The website shows Sarkar has been studying for his PhD since 2006 with no graduating date, two years longer than any of the other researchers. NORMAL TIME TO PHD AFTER MS = 8 YEARS?

Elsewhere on the UCLA website is Sarkar's dissertation, which shows it was submitted in 2013, and includes a paragraph thanking Klug for his help and support in putting it together.

Sarkar's social media profiles show he obtained his undergraduate degree in aerospace engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, in Kharagpur, in 2000.

He then worked for a time as a software developer in Bangalore before moving to America, where he worked as a research assistant at the University of Texas in Arlington.

In 2003 he went to Stanford to study for a Masters in aeronautics and astronautics, graduating two years later, and then going back to work as a software developer in Texas.

It was after that job that he began studying for his PhD in mechanical engineering at UCLA, working as a teaching assistant for a few years, and then taking a job at Endurica, a rubber testing company where he specialized in 'elastomer fatigue'.

However, an email from Endurica to the Dailymail.com revealed that Sarkar stopped working for that company back in 2014. It is not clear what, if any, employment he had in the last two years.

Sarkar, a resident of Minnesota, appears also to have killed a woman in a small town in that state, officials said. The woman’s name was found on a “kill list” in Sarkar’s residence, LAPD Chief Charlie Beck said. A second UCLA professor’s name was on that list as well, along with Klug’s name.

Something like this happened at Stanford a while back.. it was a former Math PhD candidate IIRC, and he 'took out' at least 2 profs. Then again, they had the UnaBomber on their faculty before he moved to Montana and started his mail-without-order business.
The GF {wife} was a medical Intern apparently. RIP.
How can the 'thesis submitted in 2013 but never accepted' be online I wonder. The System is seriously screwed-up when students are in the 'program' for 9-10 years. Things were clearly not as rosy and cherubic in the late prof's group, as pictured. But maybe they were less messed-up than in the overall department at UCLA. Seeing some of their profs ranting on TV leaves no room for doubt on that.
: Hasti and Sarkar married June 14, 2011, Hennepin County Communications Officer Carolyn Marinan said. It was unclear if they were still married at the time of their deaths.
Police who searched Sarkar's Minnesota home found a note with an ominous title, Los Angeles police Chief Charlie Beck told reporters. "Kill list," it said, spelling out the names of three people, according to Beck.
Now CNN says this:
It had been several years since Sarkar was a student at UCLA. He graduated in 2013 with a Ph.D. in engineering.
That explains why the thesis is available to see in public.
Investigators who rushed to the scene found a note, according to the police chief.
"The note at UCLA said to ask for the finder to check on his cat in Minnesota. So we checked in (on) his cat in Minnesota at his residence. Actually we did a search warrant at his residence," Beck told KTLA.
That's where investigators found the kill list, Beck said.

AMARILLO, Texas – Forty civil rights organizations, along with the Sikh Coalition, jointly sent a letter to law enforcement officials June 1, demanding justice for an Indian national and a Pakistani national who were accused of terrorism and arrested at gunpoint while riding a Greyhound bus in Amarillo, Texas.

On Feb. 21, Daljeet Singh from India, and his friend, Mohammed Chotri from Pakistan, were on board a Greyhound bus and speaking in Punjabi. According to the Sikh Coalition, a woman on the bus reported to police that the two men were "acting weird," speaking Arabic, and discussing a bomb.

Two other passengers detained Singh and Chotri in their seats until police came and arrested them at gunpoint. Singh and Chotri were interrogated at length, and taken to jail. Both men were released the following day, with no charges filed against them.

“Mr. Singh’s turban was removed in violation of his religious rights and not returned to him until the next evening after he was released from detention,” wrote the organizations, in a letter sent to Potter County, Texas Sheriff Brian Thomas and Potter County Attorney Scott Brumley.

“Mug shots of him without his turban were taken and widely distributed to the local media, causing him shame and grief. For a Sikh, the forced removal of a turban is akin to a strip search,” wrote the organizations. “To add insult to injury, Mr. Singh was even accused by a deputy of pretending to not know how to speak English, when in fact he is from India and recently applied for asylum in the United States.”

“Mr. Singh believes that he and Mr. Chotri were profiled because of their skin color and language abilities, and in the case of Mr. Singh, also because of his turban,” said the Sikh Coalition.

“The undersigned groups believe strongly that no one should be subject to discriminatory treatment and policing on the basis of their religion, ethnicity, or English language skills. This humiliating and offensive encounter could have been avoided if the officers were properly trained in diversity and nondiscrimination; had summoned an interpreter to the scene immediately so that the two Punjabi speakers could explain themselves; or more thoroughly investigated the basis for the terrorism allegation, including rigorously questioning the passenger who filed the false police report,” wrote the organizations in their letter to Thomas and Brumley, adding: “All of us have the right to live in America free from profiling and law enforcement abuse.”

The organizations asked to review the anti-profiling policies of the Sheriff’s Department, and requested that the county require each officer to undergo diversity training. The group also asked the county to provide translation services, and to investigate future incidents of discriminatory behavior.

“I still cannot believe that this happened to me in America,” Daljeet Singh told local press after the incident. “The only crime I committed was wearing a turban, having a beard, and speaking in a different language to another brown man on the bus.”

“What happened to these two men is unconscionable. We intend to work closely with local authorities on their training procedures and response protocols to ensure that history isn’t repeated,” said Sikh Coalition policy director Arjun Singh.

“The steady stream of xenophobic rhetoric from politicians in Texas has contributed to a climate in which innocent people are targeted for discrimination, racial profiling and police overreach,” said Rebecca L. Robertson, legal and policy director at the ACLU of Texas.

“In a state as diverse as our own, it’s unacceptable that anyone could be arrested, searched, interrogated and forced to spend the night in jail for speaking Punjabi on a Greyhound bus. And, in a state as deeply religious as Texas, we should demand that police respect all faith traditions,” she said.

"Train" Texas police? Lobotomy might help.
In fact, a Federal lawsuit nailing the asses of all the *&^%$ on that bus, Greyhound, the city and the police department would help a heck of a lot more.
What is really ironic there is that the guys were a 100% Khalistani and an ISI dost. :rotfl: For once the profiling by the idiots was accurate, though they had no clue why.

American Justice System is swift (2 convict) not slow like 3rd World
Police questioned the then-14-year-old. Sanford "confessed after several hours of police interrogation over the course of two days,..He later plead guilty in the middle of trial "once he realized his defense attorney was not going to do anything to defend him."
Two weeks after he was sentenced, a hit man confessed to the murders, according to court documents.
The assassin led police to a gun, and ballistic tests confirmed it was the weapon used in the Runyon Street killings. He also said that Sanford had nothing to do with the crime.
Still, Sanford remained incarcerated. Michigan State Police decided last year {Is that speed amazing or what?} to reinvestigate the case. They recently submitted a report to the prosecutor's office that recommended perjury charges against the Detroit officer who allegedly fabricated a version of Sanford's guilty plea and assured him that he could go home if he confessed to the crimes.
This is so tough!
A is convicted of Crime C.
B is found to have actually committed the crime, and the weapon is recovered and proven. A shown to have nothing to do with Crime C.
So.... is A innocent or not? :?: :?: :?: Must take the US Just-Is system Einsteins 8 years to figure this one out.

In the wake of the Orlando massacre, humour is terribly inadequate to heal the wounds whose pain will never be forgotten by the victim's families and friends.ISIS' must be defeated, nay exterminated at all costs by a global campaign (where nations put aside their pride and egos for the sake of humanity),both militarily and more importantly destroying its propaganda machine. The eradication of its propaganda machine is essential for reducing recruits, which the Net allows easy indoctrination ,brainwashing and mind control for such diabolic acts to be committed. The US too has its share of responsibility in the manner in which guns of all types are so easily available across the nation making such tragedies inevitable. Its political leaders must share the blame for their pandering ad nauseum to the NRA. Had assault weapons been banned, the deaths would've been far fewer.

Here's something lighter ,a feeble attempt to remind us that life has to go on with hope for the future.

The loony left is trying too hard. These tactics may work if DT is a normal candidate and HC has some good reputation for honesty. It is dog eat dog fight till November and DT are not going to fight in MSM and establishment terms. If left try too much they may end up pushing too may people towards him and worse of all Burnie voters may sit at home this time.

If normal muslims keep claiming that their religion is peaceful and all that. Then no amount of articles like this will convince non muslims.
