Ishaq Dar,A Chartered Accountant And Finance Minister Of Pakistan And A Close Relative Of Ganja Sharif Is A "Famous" Money Launderer Per Wikipedia

Wikipedia trolls strike again, this time it is Ishaq Dar’s profile
There have been numerous instances where Wikipedia’s content has been misleading and at most times, humorous. A similar situation is present with the profile of Pakistan’s Federal Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar. The introductory line of the Wikipedia article states that Ishaq Dar is “a leading money launderer expert who is, unfortunately, currently serving as Federal Finance Minister o Pakistan.”
So, if this profile is not incorrect, this "gentleman" (AND CLOSE RELATIVE !) seems to be the "brain and driving force" behind Ganja's accumulation of the Panama loot and sundry properties all over the world; no wonder, he has been accused of unofficially usurping the role of "Acting PM" in Ganja's absence; so NS has explicit trust in him ; wonder, how much does he charge for "special advice"
This is a controversial statement on its own but what it does tell us is that Wikipedia is an unreliable source of information. This is because the editing policy at Wikipedia is too flexible and anyone can change the content just for ‘fun’. Upon inspection, we found that the change was made on 18 May by an IP Address from the UAE as shown below:
Even, if it is 1% credibility, it says a lot about the "reputation" of a person, who has been appointed as a Finance Minister of a country!
This edit changed the line from “leading financial-cum-economic expert” to “money launderer expert” in the Wikipedia article.
Must have been "edited" by a RAA agent :rotfl:

Due To Financial Crunch, Social Development Programs Being Out-Sourced To USA - Part I

World Bank to support increased school participation in Pakistan
ISLAMABAD (APP) – The World Bank has approved a $300 million loan (kafir money welcome; no questions asked !) to support Punjab in improving school participation, completion, and teaching-learning practices with a particular focus on low-performing districts.
Obviously, some US Moolah will change hand; and as is the "normal practice", certain percentage of it will be skimmed off

Due To Financial Crunch, Women Development Programs Being Out-Sourced To USA -Part II

Pakistan, US sign action plan on women’s economic empowerment
NEW YORK (APP) – Pakistan and the United States on Friday signed an action plan on women’s entrepreneurship and economic empowerment (Sharia compliant ? Approval given by Mullah Brigade?) at a major business conference, which concluded on Friday.
The action plan was signed by the United States Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues, Catherine Russell, and Pakistan’s Additional Secretary of Commerce, Robina Ather, at a simple ceremony on the sidelines of the two-day U.S.-Pakistan Business Opportunities Conference, which was aimed at building linkages between US and Pakistani businesses.

Obviously, some US Moolah will change hand; and as is the "normal practice", certain percentage of it will be skimmed off

PM Nawaz likely to be discharged from hospital in two to three days

[quote]ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is making speedy recovery after an open heart surgery he underwent at a hospital in London, his daughter Marryam Nawaz said on Saturday.
In a message on Twitter, (awami updates !) she said the prime minister has been shifted to his room from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital. :D
But Maryam (the heir apparent) has to be make sure that Abbaji is put on a strict regimen of healthy (and bland !) diet which includes not accepting food parcels from his" legions of of rural (illiterate) Pakjabi admirers ! But "once in a while" it is OK to indulge in his ghee-heavy favourite "items" like paratha, nihari, haleem, pindi-chana etc etc

How to spot a militant: Pakistani army removes roofs in Waziristan By AFP
SHAKAI: House after house flicks by hundreds of feet beneath a military helicopter, many distinguished by one arresting feature: their roofs have been removed by the army to allow an "aerial view" of militants who may take refuge there.
South Waziristan was once a stronghold of the Pakistani Taliban, where the extremists operated with impunity, but the military says the region in the country's mountainous northwest has been cleared of its last militant stronghold.
F-16's are good for this job?
Now the district, part of Pakistan's Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) on the border with Afghanistan, is welcoming thousands of displaced families back to their homes, many of which no longer offer shelter.
Some were damaged by weather, said a military official who flew with media on the army-controlled helicopter trip earlier this month over the towns of Makeen, Ladha and Kaniguram. But not all.
"(The) military has removed the roofs of the houses to have a better aerial view and stop militants taking refuge in these abundant, fort-like mud houses," the official told reporters.
From the helicopter, journalists could see scores of homes with no roofs but appearing otherwise in tact, their interiors exposed to the elements, though it was unclear how many had been removed by the military and how many had been damaged by the weather and fighting.
The Rah-i-Nijat operation was launched by the military against the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and its then-leader Baitullah Mehsud in 2009, displacing more than 72,000 families.
So, earlier rumours of scorch earth policies are not untrue !
Pakistani authorities have rebuilt roads, constructed health facilities and schools and reinforced the water supply in villages in the area.
"We are trying to make all the facilities available for internally displaced persons (IDPs) before their return," Imran said.
But the lack of shelter, residents warn, will be a serious issue.
Traditionally roofs in South Waziristan are built of wood and iron sheets to hold off heavy winter snows, but from the helicopter hundreds could be seen with their wooden skeletons bared and interiors exposed.
A senior military official told AFP some $285 million is needed to tackle reconstruction in Fata, but the government has so far released only $48m, (code word for "they do not have the money !) with $12.5m of that distributed to displaced families.
Muhammad Aslam, from Kaniguram, said the security situation was "peaceful" and "under complete control of the military".
In neighbouring North Waziristan, resident Malik Muhammad Ghulam said "the majority of the houses" in the region's administrative headquarters Miramshah had been demolished.
"Authorities implement curfew from 7pm to 7am ... we cannot even go to the market. (They) tell us not to leave the compound of our house."
No efforts to win the "heart and minds" of these displaced people- as Immy is shouting from the top of his roof at Bani Galla?

Next: Pakistan army is removing the heads of pathans to look within for their hearts and minds as well. Its all ok per TSPA as it gives greater visibility.

Same way they are taking out roofs of houses to look within.

Pakistan Is "Afraid" That US Is Going To Ditch It Again !

Pakistan – US Relations: Will US ditch Pakistan once again ?
ISLAMABAD: US released the annual report for the terrorism in the world. The report emphasised the terrorism trends and the incidences in the world. Iran was termed as the state sponsoring the most terrorism incidences in the world.
An important section of the report was on Pakistan, Afghanistan and India. The section regarding Pakistan and Afghanistan is reproduced below which blamed Pakistan for sponsoring terrorism in both Afghanistan and India.
The Pakistani military and security forces undertook operations against groups that conducted attacks within Pakistan such as Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP).” However it accused Pakistan for not taking substantial action against the Afghan Taliban and Haqqani network. “Pakistan did not take substantial action against the Afghan Taliban or HQN, or substantially limit their ability to threaten US interests in Afghanistan, although Pakistan supported efforts to bring both groups into an Afghan-led peace process.”
Sacrifice "bad terrorist" ; protect "good terrorists" !
The State Department further pointed out other un-designated extremists groups saying, “Pakistan has also not taken sufficient action against other externally-focused groups such as Lashkar-e-Tayyiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), which cotinued to operate, train, organise, and fundraise in Pakistan.”
(under the patronage of ISI !)
Pakistan has been US ally for the last 15 tears in its Global War On Terrorism (GWOT). Pakistan has sacrificed more than 50,000 lives and over $118 billions loss to economy during during this GWOT. :((
Pakistan provided Logistics and administrative support to US as it’s bases were used by US in its war against Afghan Taliban and AlQaeda.
:(( And as a "rentier state", was more than adequately compensation for services rendered !
Pakistan's establishment does not seem to get it: in international relations, there are no "permanent friends", only permanent interests.
As the majority of the US Forces have exited Afghanistan and presently around 9,800 US troops are stationed in Afghanistan for operation “Resolute Support” , US probably does not require any more Pakistani support in its war against terrorism in Afghanistan
Few incidences would depict the entire scenario.
(i.e. Laundry List of Complaints :
1.US has started to accuse Pakistan for all the unrest in Afghanistan blaming it for the support to Afghan Taliban and Haqqani network.
2. US has started to consider Pakistan against the US interests in Afghanistan.
3. US has not acknowledged Pakistan sincere efforts towards peace in Afghanistan through QCG process.
4. US intentionally killed The Afghan Taliban Commander Mullah Akhtar Mansoor inside Pakistan to make sure that Pakistan is labelled as terrorism supporter inside Afghanistan.
5. US has not stopped drone strikes in Pakistan despite of repeated Pakistani requests to do so.
6. US has no interest to Pakistan’s logical and strategical interest in Afghanistan as Pakistan has repeatedly asked US Government through evidences to stop Indian anti Pakistan activities in Afghanistan.
7. US is intentionally promoting India inside Afghanistan which is creating troubles for Pakistan from its consulates in Afghanistan.
8. Afghan Intelligence Agency National Directorate of Security (NDS) is involved in sabotaging acts in Pakistan but US didnot mention anything regarding this in its annual report.
9. RAW agents are caught red handed in Baluchistan but US has not uttered anything against this in its annual report.
10. Pakistan unlike 1990s era has stopped all kind of support to Kashmiri Mujaheeden in Indian Occupied Kashmir but still Pakistan is blamed for terrorism in India.
11. The blame of Indian false flag operations(referring to Pathankot ?) has been put on Pakistan to make Indian lobby happy.
12. Pakistan is being denied just 8 F-16s while reportedly India has been given an offer of either F-16 or F-18 factory inside India.

13. Pakistan has been denied the NSG membership while India is supported by US in its NSG membership.

Last but not the least the shift in US foreign policy is the replica of the US Policy which Pakistan faced after the Soviet War where Pakistan had to face nuclear related sanctions.

The shift in US Policy is seen imminent and the National security Policy makers in Pakistan have been forced to think on the US future ambitions.
IS US DITCHING PAKISTAN ONCE AGAIN?
IS IT THE TIME FOR BREAKUP ?

Our Gwadar Is Way Superior To Your Chahbar !

Caveat Emptor :This On-Line Newspaper appears to be an ISI Rag !

Curious case of two conflicting ports
By. Ahsan Muhyuddin – Islamabad:
China and Pakistan speed up work, making the mega-port city, Gawadar, which would be operational at the end of this year. However, on the other side of the border an increased infrastructural activity can be noticed in South-Eastern part of Iranian port, Chabahar, a port city where India is rolling up sleeves in order to obtain direct access to Afghanistan and Central Asia, bypassing Pakistan, her arch enemy. The only Iranian port with direct access to Indian Ocean, Chabahar, is said to be Iran’s second most important port after Bandar e Abbas that handles 85% of Iran’s seaborne trade and is highly congested. (inside information ?)
Chabahar port lies in the city of Chabahar in South-Eastern Iranian province of Sistan-Balochistan province near Pakistan-Iran border. Its location lies in the Gulf of Oman near the strategic Strait of Hormuz, which covers more than 20% of world’s petroleum trade. Just over the border, at only a flight distance of 170 Km from Chabahar lies the port of Gwadar which happens to be world largest deep-sea port  where China has been investing extensively, perusing her dream of China-Pakistan-Economic-Corridor (CPEC), and clearing way to Chinese concept of Maritime Silk road that will save Chinese Economy billions of dollars annually by shortening the trade routes.
Tensions have been on since Iran, a Muslim and neighboring country to Pakistan handed over direct control of Chabahar port to India by signing a series of twelve Memorandum of understandings, making Chabahar a direct competitor to Gwadar  (is Pakistan being paranoid?) in the region, that too with Indian help, a country which has been exposed for destabilizing the region over course of time. (Saudi line being toed ?)
New Delhi got involved in building port as early as 90s. India also spent a sum of $100million during 2005-2009 constructing a road from Delaram in Afghanistan to Zaranj at the Iran-Afghan border.Ambitious Modi, eyeing a larger role in Afghanistan and with aims at making Chabahar a rival port to Gawadar, India recently offered financing Chabahar-Zahedan Railwayat the cost of 1.6 billion dollars.
Afghanistan is looking to reduce substantial reliance on Pakistan, (and end to Paki blackmail !) is expected to sign a tripartite transit trade agreement on using the port as an alternative route, according to them this could boost up bilateral trade to $3 billion from $700-800 million. Just like CPEC, India too is perusing actively on North-South-Transport-Corridor, a multi-billion-dollar prospect of road-links, railway connectivity and infrastructural development between major cities such as Mumbai, Moscow, Tehran, Baku, Bandar Abbas, Astrakhan, Bandar Anzali and Chabahar being its first base in South Eastern sector. For a number of reasons,Chabahar cannot compete to Gwadar, at least not in the time being.
Our Port is superior to Yours !
Gwadar is a deep-sea port, designed and built to harbor very large and heavily loaded ships. The depth of water helps massive ships to get access to port. Regular ports like Chabahar, are by and large of recreational types where the water is not more than 20 feet deep, whereas deep-water port of Gwadar is compatible with the large heavy loaded ships with up to 30 feet depth. The depth makes it the most economical port in the region. Along the 800km coastal line in Southern Baluchistan,no coastal city like Ormara ,Pasni or Jivnie can provide a hammer-head formation deep into the sea like Gwadar does, Making it ideal for deep-sea port. This trait is absent in Chabahar.
Our port is superior to yours !Typical Paki gloating :P
The port of Gwadar is near to getting full operational as the Army Chief General Raheel Sharif announced that first cargo ship will reach Gwadar by the end of this year. With only 10 berths as compared to 13 of Gwadar, Chabahar is nowhere near getting operational and development pace can’t match that of Chinese engineers working in Gwadar.
Investing body in Gwadar China Overseas Port Holding Company, a renowned and efficient working force, Beijing in past has extraordinary experience in developing and managing big ports. Beijing also funded a port in Sri Lanka and has been approached to help build a similar facility in Bangladesh.
Whereas India Ports Global Private Limited (IPGPL), which is supervising Chabahar port is not as sound as compared to Chinese, professionally nor New Delhi can afford monetarily to invest at a scale Beijing is investing In Gwadar and CPEC. Notorious Indian intelligence agencies such as RAW is believed have set up a separate cell in order to sabotage CPEC and Gwadar development, for which Pakistan Army launched a designated Special-Security-Division which will protect CPEC and port of Gwadar. Eagar to prevent Gwadar from getting successful and with a number of other terrorism activities inside Pakistan, New Delhi is leaving no stone un turned to cause chaos following Beijing’s announcement of investing 48 billion dollars on CPEC.
Pakistan’s and China’s economy is sure to boost once CPEC is completed and Gwadar is fully operational which will bring prosperity to the people of Baluchistan, Pakistan’s most backward and Indian sponsored terrorism-hit province.
Ports can’t be run without massive investment and business. China itself expected business through Gawadar port is over $500 billion dollar and on the top of that Chinese companies are planning to shift their manufacturing plants here to reduce the cost. This will boost the international business here. Analysts believe, after full operational Gawadar port would be the regional hub of international business. In such conditions it would be silliness or a political joke to compare the Gawadar with Chabahar or call it to the alternative of Gawadar port by India or Iran.

IMO, on the one hand , the Pakis are getting paranoid on Chahbar, and on the other hand there were recent reports of linking Gwadar by road to Chahbar !

A summary of my Paper on Pakistan policy has just been published in Swarajya. This is a brief summary - the paper itself
is about 50 pages - a fair bit of detail has had to be packed into each page, as it is intended for people influencing policy, with
some subject matter knowledge and little time.
I acknowledge and appreciate the feedback from Rakshaks, who were mailed a preview.

The actual paper has just been done and submitted for copyright.

Pakistan denies consular access to Indian spy citing his 'subversive activities'
( It's time we pick whole Paki Dumblomatic staff in Kathmandu for crossing Indian border )
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has turned down India's request seeking consular access to detained Indian spy Kulbushan Jadhav, who was arrested by Pakistani forces earlier this year, it has been learnt."After due consideration, it has been decided not to grant consular access to Jadhav," a top security source told DawnNews. The source said the decision was taken due to the arrested Indian Navy officer's involvement in "subversive activities" in Pakistan. The security forces had arrested Jadhav from Balochistan in March and announced that he was 'a serving officer in the Indian Navy and deputed to the Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).'The Indian External Affairs Ministry had accepted that the arrested man formerly worked for Indian Navy and said its high commission in Islamabad was seeking consular access to him.“The said individual has no link with Government since his premature retirement from Indian Navy. We have sought consular access to him,” Indian ministry’s spokesman Vikas Swarup said. The Pakistan army, however, maintains that Jadhav was directly handled by the RAW chief, the Indian National Security Adviser and the RAW joint secretary.

Good details. Our team had met the Indian Foreign Policy think tank recently and gave inputs which proposed some military presence in Afg (one div) including a airbase in Afghanistan. It is mostly long term
An Indian military presence on Pakistan’s Western border i.e. basing rights for the Indian Navy at Chabahar, an airbase (where the IAF `trains’ the Afghan air force), providing security in Nimroz province and protecting hydel projects would be a nightmare scenario for Pakistani defence planners, with the psychological impact well in excess of India’s actual military presence.

Hand in hand, Modi, Ghani inaugurate Indian-built Salma Dam
Pakjabi Fear of Pathan coming true: It must be reinforced on all Occasions
HERAT: Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi today officially inaugurated Salma Dam - the multi-million dollar hydroelectric project, in Herat. The dam was built and funded by India at a cost of $300 million USD.
Located in the Chesth-e-Sharif district, the hydroelectric project, which is on the Hari Rud River, is expected to benefit hundreds of thousands of families in four districts of the province, by providing them with electricity and irrigation water.Experts meanwhile stand firm that if government undertakes such big hydro-electric dam construction projects, they will not only benefit the country economically but will also help create jobs for the people. The dam, which is 20 km in length and three kilometers in width, has a water storage capacity of 640 million cubic meters. This will be utilized to generate 43 megawatts of electricity for 40,000 families and will irrigate 80,000 hectares of farmland, belonging to 50,000 families. In welcoming Modi to the ceremony in Herat today, Ghani voiced his "profound gratitude to you, to the compassionate people and competent government of India. He said that with India's help, a dream stretching back 40 years was realized today. He went on to thank India for completing the Salma Dam, also known as the Friendship Dam, and praised security forces for ensuring security.Directly following Ghani's speech, the two leaders together hit the button to kickstart the giant turbines at the Salma Dam. Immediately, the sluice gates opened and water started flowing.Addressing guests at the event following the start of the hydroelectric project, Modi said he was humbled by the generosity of Afghans and that this moment had been a very emotional one not only for Afghans but also for Indians.
He went on to say that Afghans have chosen the way of peace and negotiation with those who have tried to destabilize the country with the support of others. He said that his country's support will not be limited to Kabul, Kandahar & Herat in future but it will be expanded to include entire country. He did however call on Afghans to live together in peace; saying that the division among them will benefit others.Modi said Afghanistan's success is the hope of every Indian. "We want your improvement in economy, security and other sectors."He added that "we see others doubt in your future but your will is strong and you will reach your dreams".

Before I comment I have to state that the man i.e. Ahsan Muhyuddin of Islamabad speakth through
the other i.e. “lower down” orifice.

Water Depths : [1] The Water Depts in Chabahar – In Shahid Behesht up to 12.07 Metres i.e. about 39 Ft. 6 inches. In Shahid Kalantari up to 11.6 Metres i.e. 38 Feet.

[2]Gwadar – The port, currently, has the capacity to handle 50,000 DWT bulk carriers @ 12.5 meter maximum depth.

In the past Bulk Carriers have had to lighten 7,500MT to 10,000MT prior Berthing.

Chasbahar is operational since 1985.

Per my information : India Ports Global, a recently formed port project investment arm of the shipping ministry and a joint venture between the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust and the Kandla port, will invest $85 million in developing two container berths with a length of 640 metres and three multi-cargo berths.

Gwadar went on Stream in Mid 2007.

Nawaz Sharif must resign before his arrest on corruption and money laundry charges
Nawaz Sharif
By Ali Abbas Hasanie
On my trip to London, England in June 1999 to watch the games of Cricket World Cup, I suddenly encountered a BBC documentary titled ” CORRESPONDENT” that was made on the corruption and money laundry cases of Mian Nawaz Sharif, the sitting Prime Minister of Pakistan at that time. I was completely shocked and quite embarrassed at the same time with the thoughts that how I was going to explain to my non-Pakistani friends if they ask me about the corruption of Pakistan’s Prime Minister. This documentary, some parts of which can still be seen today by googling “EXCLUSIVE: BBC’S DOCUMENTARY ON NAWAZ SHARIF’S CORRUPTION” disclosed the blatant story of corruption and money laundering of Nawaz Sharif and his family as told by the eye-witnesses consisting of bureaucrats and journalists. These eye witnesses in the documentary had the first-hand information of how illegal monies were funneled from Pakistan to England and then ultimately into Nawaz Sharif’s businesses and family accounts in overseas. Finance Minister Ishaq Dar was instrumental in structuring this money laundering in London which he had confessed in the court in Pakistan and signed an affidavit in this respect. Chaudhry Nisar, Interior Minister, in his press conference lately has alluded that this confession was taken under duress, however, Ishaq Dar always maintained the validity of this affidavit.
Upon this incident, the loyal members of FIA, NAB and other Government institutions under the instructions of Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif started arresting and torturing those who cooperated with the BBC in revealing the truth of this money laundering and corruption. And one of the major victims of such arrest, abuse and humiliation was Pakistan’s known journalist Najam Sethi and his wife beside many other witnesses who had to fled the country and hide to save their lives. This documentary which is banned in Pakistan carried the truth and clearly portrayed the source of money laundering of Nawaz Sharif and family. In any country where supremacy of law and justice prevail, this documentary was enough to charge and punish the culprits but in Pakistan, even the military regime of General Pervez Musharraf was not able to prosecute Sharif brothers and their families for such a heinous crime.

The author appears to have "inside knowlege"; could be a "Deep State" sponsored article !
Mian Nawaz Sharif who is the Prime Minister of Pakistan for the third time and who earlier held the positions of the Chief Minister of Punjab and the Provincial Minister of Finance has a long history of corruption and money laundering since he came into the politics. He came into the politics initially to protest against the nationalization of his father’s small Foundry in 1973 by Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and find some political means to bring it back to the ownership of Sharif’s family. Mian Nawaz Sharif’s family who simply owned Ittifaq Foundry, an unknown and small entity founded in 1939 with a very modest revenue till the 80’s, suddenly became the owners of over two dozen companies valued at millions and billions of dollars mostly with persuaded bank loans inside and outside the country and the government grants. These loans and grants much of which has not been paid back and were simply written off under the undue influences after Nawaz come into the government in 1980. It is commonly known that as most of the monies were made through so-called illegitimate means, the Sharif family decided to transfer these monies through illegal means to overseas, a small example of which is shown in the BBC documentary “CORRESPONDENT”.

Gen Zia very much "admired" the Sharif family due to their so-called religiosity.

The ISI is also known to use these methods for their own use

The author and his sponsors, it appears , are not in favour of good relations with India

The plain and simple fact is that everyone involved in Pakistan politics is corrupt from top to bottom

The history of Nawaz Sharif, his money laundering, his misuse of power, the blatant lies, his ill economic policies, his immoral and indecent actions, and his anti-national acts, and this acts which amount to treason, are nothing new to the people of Pakistan, the Army, Judiciary and the Media. Everyone is well aware of these facts now. The time has come that the “Truth” must prevail and “Justice” is carried out with the nation and the people of Pakistan by bringing Nawaz Sharif in front of a Commission headed by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and by hiring a foreign Forensic audit firm to conduct the forensic audit by calling witnesses who can attest to his money laundering and anti-Pakistani acts such as his personal relationship with India, avoiding statements against “RAW” and building his business empire at the expense of national security and the economic well-being and the future of our country. It is believed that the Commission will have enough evidence to charge him on money laundering and other corruption charges. Therefore it is advisable for him to immediately resign as Prime Minister to save the dignity of the Office of Prime Minister. There is no doubt that the people of Pakistan would like to see Democracy prevail in the country but it is a right time and well over due that the Army demand the resignation of Nawaz Sharif and his associates and help in the formation of a neutral National Government to reform the political system before the next Elections are called in the country.

ISI approved long article putting pressure on Ganja Sharif to resign on his own accord; he is shameless therefore, it is impossible to force him out on that score; Kerry-Lugar Bill makes it not possible for army to directly step in ; army can make Ganja's health an issue and put additional pressure on him Mucchar Sharif is angling for extension; China would not mind him staying another term

Kidney patient girl gang raped in Urology Transplant Institute Karachi
HYDERABAD: A kidney patient girl Husn Bano Mallah resident of Qasimabad, Hyderabad was gang raped in Sindh Institute of Urology Transplant in Karachi after being harassed for almost 15 days. This was stated by Husn Bano d/o Eidan Mallah herself while addressing press conference here Friday. She told media that she was admitted on 27 April in SIUT Karachi, which is headed by noted professor Adeeb Rizvi for dialysis which was to be carried out on 12 May at 3 a.m after midnight. She said when she was laid to bed a Masi fed her a cup of milk after which she alleged her condition turned to worse as she can see but could not speak. She said after which she was dragged to the bathroom by 2 male staff members of the institute who strangulated her and gang raped her. She after dialysis she was handed to her sister’s son who brought her to the home where she told family happened to her.
She told that her family lodged FIR and that gang rape was proved in the medical report, but SP Shahla Raza Qureshi tortured me severely to withdraw my statement as she said that it could defame institute that is headed by respectable professor Adeeb Rizvi.
She made an appeal to Army Chief General Raheel Sharif and Chief Justice Pakistan to help impart them justice and take action against criminals working in SIUT under the guise of medical staff to bring them to book and save the honor of other girls.

Pakistan suffered loss of $188bn during war on terror, says Dar
ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Saturday said that Pakistan has lost at least US$118 billion during the ongoing war on terror.
Addressing a post-budget press conference, the minister maintained that despite constraints the "defence allocations have been increased" .
Zarb-i-Azb is entering its final round and its successful conclusion would help attract direct foreign investment.
The finance minister said the government kept prices of petroleum products unchanged for the current month to provide relief to people during Ramazan.
About the proposed Karachi-Lahore motorway, he said that it was a missing link in Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's vision, adding that the Rs300 billion project is made a part of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
How many motorways are being built in Pakiland anyway ; every other day, Ganja or his "clever" brother are cutting ribbons and making speeches, as if this is the only "economic development" that they are capable of . Someone is making a lots of money on the construction of these roads!
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said the budget reflected PML-N's vision for a prosperous Pakistan, adding that the government is working tirelessly to improve the lives of Pakistani citizens, read a statement issued by PM House.
Complimenting Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Nawaz said the minister and his team deserved the appreciation for presenting a pro-growth budget for fiscal year 2016-17.
“We have created new subsidies and public investment in agriculture to help our agro-economy and the millions of Pakistanis who depend upon its success for a living,” read the statement. :((
With each passing day, the "War On Terror Losses" keep steadily increasing and the indirect reference is that the US is to blame for all this , and therefore the US should compensate Pakistan for the loss amount of $ 118 Billion US Dollars.!

Budget 2016-17 to bring more bad news for Pakistanis
Budget 2016-17 is more likely to bring more bad news than good news for Pakistanis as prices of cosmetics, mobile phones, and electronic items will go up.
Meanwhile, Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said the decision to increase salaries of the government employees will be taken by the committee concerned. (broken promise ?) Replying to another question, the minister said all arrangements have been finalised ( for one more time, like last time !)for a fresh census.
He said it was postponed in the light of the decision of Council of Common Interests (what animal is this ?) till the completion of operation Zarb-e-Azb.

Peregrine, Thanks for digging up the Gwadar Cargo Tonnage figures. Your Gwadar Cargo Tonnage figures however have a typo. Figures for July 2013-June 2014 are reported twice and both numbers are incorrect. It should have been once and in your style of posting 0,623.1. That would give a grand total of 6,299.20 (In 000’s) or 6.299 Million Metric Tonnes of cargo handled since port inception. Over the 8.75 years of operation computed by you that works out to 719.91 (In 000’s) or 0.719 Million Metric Tonnes per anum average. By way of contrast the smallest of India’s Major Ports, Mormugao, handled in 2014-15 cargo of 14,711 (In 000’s) or 14.7 Million Metric Tonnes p.a. (See Here)

The sound of fury about Gwadar Port emanating from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is certainly nowhere near the reality of the pitifully low cargo handling levels  .

Good details. Our team had met the Indian Foreign Policy think tank recently and gave inputs which proposed some military presence in Afg (one div) including a airbase in Afghanistan. It is mostly long term
My co-author is in touch with the same think tank. Our proposal was an army presence in Nimroz - an airbase (ostensibly to train the Afghan air force) in Kandahar or in a Tajik dominated area in the North and a Army trainers / Paramilitary - ex servicemen presence around India financed Hydel projects between Kabul and the Pak border. Also, basing rights for the Navy in Chabahar (to help fight piracy and evacuate Indian nationals from the Gulf if required).
Good to know these ideas are being discussed by the right people.

Gwadar seems to be a large deep port that can accommodate tall ships, is brightly lit for night operations, and built with tight backend operations like roads and railway. Chabahar seems to be a small port, without much light so it gets dark, and seems to be for import/export of items from India like rice.

The heart of Gwadar operations seems to be larger with warmer waters. Chabahar seems to be small with cold waters.

One Gwadar port can probably handle the traffic of 8 Chabahar-like ports.

I visited Chabahar port, back in 2000, to look at investment opportunities. The reports in the Pakistan media on Chabahar vs. Gwadar, are grossly inaccurate.

Chabahar is a deep water port - unlike Bandar Abbas (Iran's only other port). A lot of cargo destined for Iran is therefore transshipped
via Dubai, hence Dubai gains at Iran's expense.
Chabahar is also the cheapest way to access markets in Central Asia (both for export of oil/gas esp. from Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, and imports). Goods from these countries cannot go to Gwadar by rail, since Afghanistan has no rail network (road is far more expensive, especially when the dangers of transit through Agh/Pak are factored in).
Chabahar is also 1 of Iran's 3 free trade zones and can be a big magnet for foreign companies to set up shop.

The premise behind Gwadar was that sanctions on Iran would remain indefinitely (hence Chabahar would not compete with
Gwadar) and a stable and Taliban controlled Afghanistan would enable lower cost transit through Afghanistan.
The current volume of Pakistan's trade can comfortably be handed by Karachi. Diverting some of this to Gwadar, actually
renders both ports less viable (in terms of handling cost per Tn).

X Posted from the “Afghanistan News & Discussion - April 2016” thread.

Let the Islamic Republic of Pakistan fulminate. India must help Afghanistan squeeze every drop of water from rivers originating in Afghanistan that flow into the Islamic Republic of Pakistan:
Afghanistan’s authorities with the help of Indian experts have completed the feasibilities and detailed engineering of 12 hydro-power projects with capacity to generate 1,177MW of electricity to be built on the river Kabul.

If the 12 projects get completed, they will store 4.7 million acre feet of water squeezing the flow in the river reaching Pakistan.

India, …………………….. is now active to squeeze the water artery coming from Afghanistan.
India out to damage Pakistan’s water interests on Kabul river

In the footsteps of Rajas: A journey through the soul of Potohar

Pakis "discover" ancient civilization which their fore-fathers helped to destroy in the name of supremacy of Malsi !
Soon I arrive in the Potohar region; the first landmark on our agenda is the temple in Malot
Malot was a walled hamlet back in the day. Raja Mal Khan — a convert prince (son of Janjua King Raja Dhrupet Dev) — was an ambitious ruler who secured neighbouring areas after his succession and made Malot his capital.
According to one popular legend, upon the demise of his beloved Sati, Lord Shiva grieved so much that his tears formed two pools; one in Katas and the other in Pushkara in Ajmer.Hence, the holy pond is revered by the followers of Shiva, believing it to have healing powers.
Temples were vandalised and frescoes scratched away and now they are far from their former glory.
On a bright day, I only find a few kids lazing around the mystical pond. The site attracts occasional visitors during regular days but overflows with pilgrims (possible in present-day Pakistan, where attacks on minorities occurs every day? ) during the Maha Shivratri festival.
But today, they are shadows of their former glory. The place was abandoned after partition; the temples were vandalised, leaving defaced empty rooms.
As so often happens in societies "conquered" by Malsi ( Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkey) nothing "pre-Islamic" is worth preserving ! History starts with Islam. The state adopts policies propagating myths. (e.g. Pakistan history starts in 1947 !). The pictures of the ruined Hindu and Sikh temples in the article probably do not tell even half the story. And how Hindu and Sikh people living for centuries here, must have fled for their lives, leaving property and everything behind, to reach safe borders! In Iran, the Zoroastrians were either wholesale converted or fled for their lives to India; in Turkey, there was a formal exchange of population between Greece and Turkey following the Ottoman Empire's defeat in World War I. Nothing remains of the Buddhist civilization of Gandhara in KP and Afghanistan!

Islam destroyed only the cultures or societies that resisted it. Not sure how true it is but it is an interesting concept to evaluate.

THE QUEST FOR = = REACHES "CONCERN" LEVEL FOR PAKISTAN POLICY PLANNERS:

(1) Indian Navigation Satellite System “NAVIC” : Security Challenges for Pakistan
On April 28, 2016 Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has launched seventh and final satellite to complete its own (Indian) Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS) which will be called NAVIC (Navigation with Indian Constellation) as announced by their Premier Narendra Modi.
Pakistan established its space program eight years earlier than the Indian space organization, but SUPARCO is now nowhere near to ISRO. It is so obvious that Pakistan governments’ priorities are off the beam in term of emphasis on space technology. Today Indian department of space has budget of round about 1 billion dollars whereas SUPARCO size in terms of monetary funds is 30.6 million dollars. India signed a framework agreement with NASA for future cooperation in 2008 and recently in 2016 inked agreements for launching satellites from UK and Singapore.
Pakistan should also explore such avenues to create a platform that SUPARCO can also deliver indigenous navigational satellite system. For instance, we developed the tactical nuclear weapons (TNWs) to successfully counter the so called proactive strategy of Indian Cold Start Doctrine (CSD). We are proud of our scientists and engineers yet the decision of its deployment and use is reserved with the National Command Authority.
"Big words" needed to preserve the so-called Enchedee; as if a "yes" from NCA will magically restore the ==

(2) Pakistan Defence Budget: Can it compete rising Indian Military Ambitions
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has increased its defence budget allocation by 11% in recently allocated budget 2016-17.
The defence allocation has been increased from Rs. 775.8 billions to Rs. 860.1 billions registering an increase of Rs. 85 billions.
Out of total defence budget allocation Pakistan Army share stands at 47% , Pakistan Navy gets around 10% while Pakistan Air Force budgetary allocation stands at 20%.
Out of the total defence budget only Rs. 216 billions are earmarked for the operational expenses while the rest of the amount goes into the employees related expenditures and the physical assets.
As reported in other places, portions of the military budget are "hidden elsewhere" so as not to alarm the Aam Abduls as well as international lenders who want to make sure that at least , interest payments can be made !
On the other hand India’s defence budget has seen a tremendous rise from $11.8 billions in 2001 to $ 52 billions in year 2016.
Pakistan spends $ 8000 on a soldier annually while India spends $17, 500 per soldier annually.
No mention that India is much bigger than Pakistan ?
India is expected to spend a whopping $70 billion in the year 2020 on Military Power Projection leaving Pakistan so far behind that it would be virtually impossible for Pakistan to even dream of matching the Indian military spending.
India is building and inducting Aircraft Carriers, Su-30MKI jets, artillery guns, stealth destroyers, stealth frigates, conventional and nuclear submarines, various offensive and defensive missile systems, military satellites, new mountain strike corps, attack helicopters and much more every year.
Actually India should develop "specific policies" which will "encourage" Pakistan to meet its "defence challenges" as in this way it can "help" expedite the artificial entity's slide towards ultimate insolvency if not bankruptcy
The rising strategic imbalance in South Asia in terms of traditional military imbalance is matter of great concern for the strategists in Pakistan.
Indian ambitions of military might and the defence allocations rise depicts the increasing threat to Pakistan National Security in times to come.
Apart from the "brilliant" idea of deploying tactical nukes, Pakistan will have to come up with some other novel idea to counter the "Indian Threat"

Pakistan, US negotiating new mechanism for CSF amount
ISLAMABAD: With expectation of receiving Rs170.7 billion from US on account of Coalition Support Fund (CSF) in the budget 2016-17, Pakistan and US are currently negotiating new mechanism for reimbursement of incurred expenditures in ongoing fight against militants continuously undertaken by Pakistan Army after expiry of existing mechanism from October this year.
Pakistan is also asking US to provide F-16 planes as promised by Washington as Islamabad is insisting upon US authorities to fulfill their commitments on this front.
All now forgotten following recent drone attack and the corresponding violation of Paki- sovirginity ; still begging for the coveted F16s
“We are negotiating new arrangements with US regarding CSF and nothing is finalised so far on this account,” Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar confirmed to couple of reporters when asked him in this regard after post budget press conference here on Saturday. However, the minister declined to offer any further comments when asked more questions on this subject.
The recent statement of the Minister saying that Paki loss on War On Terror totals $ 118 Billion Dollars , has to be understood in this context of "negotiating new mechanism for CSF amount"; so the Paki rentier army is still ready for doing the US bidding- if the price is right !
Pakistan and USA’s relations had always witnessed boom and bust cycle over last several decades but Islamabad always complained that Washington had abandoned Islamabad after collapse of USSR by 90s that ultimately resulted into surfacing of Taliban phenomena in this region. Now after becoming an ally of US led war against terrorism since 9/11,( no permanent friends in international diplomacy, only permanent interest ; the Pakis should get this into their thick head !)2001, Pakistan had suffered losses of $118 billion but in return it had received peanuts in terms of civil and military assistance.
That "118 Billion $ " figure again ! Goebbel, Hitler's propanganda minister once stated that if a statement is repeated enough, :(( it becomes the truth !
However, according to Center for Global Development, the United States began providing economic assistance along and military aid to Pakistan shortly after the country’s creation in 1947. In total, the United States obligated nearly $67 billion (in constant 2011 dollars) to Pakistan between 1951 and 2011. The levels year to year have waxed and waned for decades as US geopolitical interests in the region have shifted.
Peaks in aid have followed years of neglect. In several periods, including 1990s, US had halted aid entirely and shut the doors of the USAID offices. This pattern had rendered the United States a far cry from a reliable and unwavering partner to Pakistan over the years, it concluded.
Enchendee forgotten ; this farticle is more in the line of a Rona Dhona write -up ! Historians have now stated that Pakistan was created on the advice of Churchill to counter Anglo -American fear of so-called Soviet expansionism, following India's rejection of giving bases in the North -West; Jinnah readily granted this concession (Badebar Air Base in Peshawar ) and tied his country to Amreeka ; and the results of this is evident; still a "ghulam" of Amreeka even after 70 years of its existence.

Panama leaks was Imran Khan's drama: Rana Sanaullah
FAISALABAD: Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said during a press conference that the whole Panama leaks issue was PTI chief Imran Khan's drama.
Speaking to media personnel, Sanaullah said that when Imran Khan's offshore company came to the fore, that day the PTI chief lost the moral and political justification to raise the issue.
Rana Sanaullah said that the Panama leaks issue never had any legal angle to it.
"The Panama leaks had a political and ethical angle," he said. "Not a legal one."
This "worthy" Minister (and right hand bxxl of Shahbaz and Nawaz  ) recently landed himself in trouble, by inadvertently blurting out the truth about "non-state actors" being supported by the Deep State; he is now equating Immy's (one or two ) off-shore account with the massive loot of Ganja Sharif, with the help of his close relative and Finance Minister  Dar

What the pakistanis seem to be doing is to equip the fizzleya and baharia via foreign donations. This way they can give 10% and 20% of the budget to them and let the fauj pocket 70%

The problem with the F-16 deal falling through is that the fizzelya is going to demand more money in the budget, that is more money that the crore kammandus won't have control over.
Bahria is getting the 6-8 kilo copy subs from cheen, and the odd scrap hand-me-downs they can get their hands on. So the bahria is kept content for the next few years as far as budget support is concerned.

India's military budget is now at the level of Germany / France / UK.

Def Ministry in India must spend on equipping ground level forces such that they have everything they can possibly think of to be an offensive force. The idea should be to militarily take over POK, should new delhi decide to do so.
