One good thing this election cycle is there was no demonizing the African Americans which was a regular feature of US Presidential Elections.

In the dark heart of California not one soul wants to discuss the victory of Trump. There were hushed discussions and deep sighs.
Just hope no one noted my satisfied grin the next morning.

Most Japanese folks at the workplace are delighted. The others are just aghast. But that is probably because they're in the Socialist Republicistan of Califoxico.
Just wanted to also highlight that a large number of folks who struggle to keep themselves floating on dole are talking about the mental ability of a chap who has made, lost, and then made billions. Yes, that's the one with 9 zeroes! So what gives?

Re: Understanding the United States of America (USA) - III
A lot of people voted Trump as an FU to the establishment, especially the smug self-righteous Democrats who are increasingly controlled by the cultural marxists of the left just like in India with the Congoons. The left once stood for fighting for the common people's well-being, but now is obsessed with cult-marxist BS about the white-brahmanical-cis-gender-antiislamic-patriarchy and transgendered bathrooms.
Trump asked some right questions about manufacturing job losses (though no answers), the PC climate that demonizes most of white america summed up in the "basket of deplorables" quote, endless wars abroad, confronting Russia, the need for NATO, confronting Islamism, hordes of illegals and refugees changing demographics etc.
The demos, instead of answering and engaging these questions, chose to try the character assassination trick. Didn't work, didn't stick. Everyone knows that if they were hot-mic'd, they wouldn't be saints either. Besides, on that bus, Trump was like any insecure horny dude bragging and boasting. As soon as he got down and was face to face with the PYT, couldn't even initiate or ask for a hug. The other guy had to prod the PYT.
If the left had any sense, they would study industrial engineering and try to figure out how to mass employ people in the age of robotized manufacturing. Instead they study intersectional-gender-sub-altern crapola, shout in the streets, burn flags, and throw hissy fits.
Trump has no answers, but seems to be the only one asking the relevant questions of the 20 people that ran. That's better than not even getting the questions right.

Very large protests in NYC. If things don't die down by tomorrow it could go bad.
This is Third World level rejection of election results.
This crisis has been brought by the Democratic leadership being decimated with triple losses: President, Senate and Congress and the troops are leaderless and like ronin.

The margin of victory in the three rust belt states which Hillary needed to win was so razor thin (Michigan: ~12,000 , Wisconsin: ~27,000, Pennsylvania: ~68,000) that I would not specifically blame Obamacare premium alone, definitely a factor but not the single most important factor. (For comparison Obama won these states by over ~200,000 to ~500,000 votes (2012))krisna wrote:Dipanker wrote:Given the closeness of the result in the rust belt battleground states I will credit this Republican victory to Comey. In the October 31st to Nov 5 period Hillary went down from a very comfortable 7+% lead to a precarious 2.7% and could bounce back only to about 3.9% in the remaining 2 days because there was not enough time. This drop cost her the close races in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, (and Michigan), supposedly her "fireball" states she was so sure to win that did not pay enough attention and reacted too late.
Turns out the national polls were not too off the mark, by the time all votes are counted Hillary should still win the popular vote by over a million or so, a repeat of 2000 when Gore won the popular vote, but election was stolen by SC Rehnquist and the gang, Comey is the culprit this time.
The real culrpit which killary supporters inlcuding media are hiding is the obama care.
The next year stuff came to many americans on nov 1 onwards .
There has been upto 25% increase in premiums.
many americans are grumbling --> it hits right into the pockets of every american. This is very basic health issue.
Americnas dont care about comey or his antics if their stomach is hit badly.
No wonder trumpazee was onto obamacare which resonated across many states in middle america.
---------
comey antics are so so . no ned to give too much importance. it is only to unbalance killary campaign.
Before the Comey's bombshell 538 forecast had 93% chances for Hillary and 7% for Trump, in one week period Hillary chances went down from 93% to 64%, quite a precipitous drop. Recovery after the second announcement was a relatively lacklustre 71%.
Of course a whole host of factors (Racism, Misogyny etc.) can be listed for Hillary's loss, but given the margin above, you have to put this in Comey's account.

2) shift president house to trump tower-why live in govt accomodation.
3) appoint all ladies team to overcome his negative image
4) Keep mouth shut for few days. he has talked for several days in elelction.
5) sleep till jan 2017.

Right now Elizabeth Warren or KellyAnn Conway - or maybe Huma Abedin, given the directions of the Donkey Party - seem like good bets to become first wimmen President. My cousin who is engineer once told me an incident. It was around 2003 - 04 that he was working in a company where lot of other people from different nations were working too.
He said when Bush attacked Iraq, a canadian used to condemn Bush and used to give big ideas about globalisation and international-brotherhood. There was an older guy who was australian, he told my cousin that this canadian guy "...is a hypocrite, whenever only two of us are there he says that Bush is right, they hit us (9/11), now we should hit the ******** 10 times more..."
This older australian guy was a hippie mostly in 60s and 70s. A julian assange type.
But canadian thought of him as a fellow englishman, so used to confide in him his real feelings.
My cousin said this australian told him that, "....most of us english are like that, very very progressive modern outlook publicly while nurturing racism privately..."
Hope it happens more, I hope all NRIs take Shri Raja Bose as an ideal, who is ready to bear the reich for the good of Bharat Mata!

It is fun tamasha from outside but frogs die in earnest. It is naive to claim all is economic and there was no support for nascent racism, or no support for divisiveness. One also doesnt know what policies will be implemented and whether strategically they will benefit India. They might or might not. Exactly the kind of hope the economically hurt rural america has - hope that the president will shake the system and do something that fixes for them. But one doesnt know yet.

Trump and "Republican"s will NOT work.
Cannot work.
Trump now belongs ot a hybrid demoRepub party that does not exist. Most f those who voted for him are people who voted against "establishment".
Well, Trump cannot exist without an establishment - Republican party.
Trump won based on a platform that is not Republican. What does Paul Ryan do, he ingests a Repubican agenda and asks Trump to follow it.
Trump will make a lot of noise, but will not get too far from the tree.

United States of discontent - PB Mehta
1. The civilizational narratives rooted in race, faith, ethnicities, geography remain ever strong defeating the western universalism narratives
2. The case against globalization - championed by some early left wingers is coming to roost
What does it mean for the future?
Two powerful forces are combining. We can now claim to retrospectively understand the causes of this extraordinary victory. They were hidden in plain sight. What prevented us from seeing them were our pre-judgments. Or perhaps, as Trump would diagnose, the bias of the supposed liberal establishment is now so deep that it has warped its cognitive ability to understand the world. But the broad narrative was always clear. The revolt against globalisation was deep and pervasive. The fantasy of a post-racial politics, of a politics not premised on ethnicity, was just that: A fantasy. The demographic fantasy of a “coloured” coalition standing alongside gender solidarity underestimated the counter resistance the very idea would generate: It unleashed a significant white counter mobilisation. Anti-globalisation and racial nativism powered each other; the former gave the latter a respectable intellectual basis while nativism gave globalisation its emotional edge....

The problem is NOT globalization. It is the profits of such globalization not being shared with everyone in the society. Share the profits with everyone and it will work. One cannot see a CEO of Yahoo (as an example) get $200 million and then she lays off people - that is unacceptable. The case against globalization - championed by some early left wingers is coming to roost
