thanks to Russian military personnel who came to help the alawis, druze, shii, assyrians from cusp of genocide.
No thanks to Russian govt for letting headchoppers from aleppo free to leave to Idlib. You have snatched defeat and ignominy from jaws of victory. Well done, you kept up your pathetic record of not being able to seal victory.

Those who gone are gone those who are killed in combat are killed , you cant really kill 100 % of those people really , Did not happen even in Raqqa specially when they are so inverwoven with civilians , to kill 10 of those you would end up murdering 500 civilians along with them.habal wrote:No thanks to Russian govt for letting headchoppers from aleppo free to leave to Idlib. ^^^ I believe sections of the syrian army in aleppo have put their foot down against the order to let all these jihadis go scot free and that too to their choice of destination toward azaz or idlib carrying the small arms undefeated. one bus with wounded jihadis had gone out but then sent back from ramouseh. 5 buses were supposed to leave today but none have left so far.
estimated 5000 people - jihadis + family members are in the queue. ...so it will need 100+ buses to move them all with 1 bag each.
there is a chance of mutiny in the ranks if the politicians insist on this . every syrian unit there has lost friends and family in the bitter fighting and the orders to let 100s of the rats go with no surrender even must be really biting.
its upto the syrian army top brass to decide what they want to do - follow orders from politicians safe behind palaces in damascus or side with the boys.
the west might get their wish - assad could be overthrown by a more hawkish faction of the elites

Re: Levant crisis - III
I believe resentment is building up within the saa-iranian-hezbollah complex on russi-amrika combine playing their own games at the cost of people who fight in the trenches and families who lose their sons.
- soft amnesty deal to the hardcore jihadis now trapped in aleppo. this was totally uncalled for as they had systematically cleared area after area and saved 50k civilians already.
- using palmyra as a euphrateshield bone to draw 4k hounds away from raqqa , and giving a tip off to their contractors to decamp quietly leaving the saa unaware of all this.
- repeatedly denying air support to the iranian and hezbollah on the grounds of who gets to boss people around
- going off and striking a amnesty deal with turkey, probably keeping the syrian army out of loop
tiger forces must be especially pissed
- first they took kuweires, then cut across the jihadis to relieve nubl and zahraa, then fought over castello road and closed the trap
- helped take palmyra
- beat back the 1st invasion of ramouseh
- beat back the 2nd invasion of daryat al assad
- freed some 20 neighbourhoods in collab with liwa al quds
and now without any rest or a 'thank you' they are being dumped into T4 while the damascus elites dance in their palaces.
I am doubtful how much the russis are willing to do in Idlib. perhaps erdogan has promised he will employ them more in the east and keep a leash on them.

Re: Levant crisis - III
my other spider feel is that there really was a small massacre of rebels and their camp followers last night when the UN Secy gen spoke out. 82 was supposed to be the kill count. a couple of platoons may have started the mutiny and gone berserk with rage before "senior officials" rushed to the scene and calmed them down, and moved them away.
it has happened before in all wars, including stalingrad...you see a lot of friends die and are looking to cause as much damage as possible. soviets ravaged eastern half of germany enroute to berlin....as payback for ukraine, belarus and russia. reportedly anything that could be carried off was done including ceramic toilets. plenty of rapes too. the 1st echelon shock troops kept moving forward but the 2nd echelon formations used to mop up and patrol these newly captured areas were mostly in on it, with the general staff turning a blind eye to all but really bad atrocities.

2nd attack fended off:
BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:25 A.M.) - The so-called "Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham" (ISIS) launched a vicious assault at the T-4 Military Airport on Tuesday night, striking this installation in eastern Homs from two different flanks.
ISIS began the assault by storming the Syrian Arab Army's defenses at a number sites around the airbase; this resulted in a fierce battle that lasted several hours last night.
With help from the Russian Air Force, the Syrian Arab Army was able to repel the major ISIS assault, killing and wounding several enemy combatants, while also destroying a number of enemy vehicles.
The Islamic State militants are expected to launch their third assault in the coming hours, as they look to expel the remaining Syrian Army presence near the ancient city of Palmyra.

Looks like the terrorists are in no mood to give up on their 72.
Or they have already fled under cover of burqa using the truce as tool for diversion
and only those few who are hell bent to get the 72 are remaining.

After the breach of the cease fire deal by the militants, and attacking #SAA's position, militants tried to contact #SAA
#SAA insisted on complying with all the items of the deal that was reached between the militants & Syrian authorities.
The main items of the deal:
1. Allowing humanitarian aid to enter the besieged towns of Kafarya & Foua in N #Idlib
2. To handover the dead bodies of #SAA's martyrs
3. To evacuate the wounded #SAA soldiers who are taken as captives by the militants
4. To free the civilians and soldiers who were kidnapped by the militants.

Opposition activists in Syria say bombing resumed Wednesday in the remaining rebel-held part of eastern Aleppo, breaking a cease-fire deal that was agreed hours earlier, according to media reports.
Rebels reached an agreement to evacuate in an effective surrender on Tuesday, as Russia declared all military action had stopped and the Syrian government had assumed control of the former rebel enclave, the Associated Press reported.
Rebels and civilians were expected to pull out from the last rebel stronghold.
Hours later, activists said rebel-held neighborhoods were shelled, CNN reported.
The Russian Defense Ministry said rebels broke the agreement and “resumed the hostilities” at dawn. It said rebels fired at a convoy of rebels who agreed to be evacuated to the northwestern city of Idlib that was due to leave early Wednesday. Russia is an ally of the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad.
Aby Zayd, a legal adviser to Syrian opposition groups, told the AP Wednesday that Iranian militias and the Shiite Islamist group Hezbollah were shelling four opposition-held neighborhoods. He said it was “clear that the Russians can’t get Iran to abide by the deal," and that new Iranian demands include recovering the remains of Iranian fighters killed in Aleppo and for Iranian hostages held in Idlib to be released.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a monitoring group based in the United Kingdom, said that buses due to evacuate 150 civilians lay idle more than two hours after the evacuation was due to begin. The buses later returned to their depots with no passengers, according to media reports.
On Tuesday, Rupert Colville, a spokesman for the U.N. human rights office, told reporters in Geneva that the office received reports that pro-government forces entering former rebel enclaves in eastern Aleppo killed at least 82 civilians, including 11 women and 13 children.
"We're filled with the deepest foreboding for those who remain in this last hellish corner," Colville said.
Staffan de Mistura, the U.N. envoy for Syria, told reporters after an emergency Security Council meeting Tuesday that armed groups were still estimated to control about 2 square miles in eastern Aleppo. He said the U.N.’s main concern is the up to 50,000 civilians still believed to be in that part of the city, the AP reported.

quite confusing messages form Aleppo .
A true reached to let rebels go? To where Palmyra/Idlib?
Why was a truce agreed upon?
Is Assad privy to this deal, or they are in dark.

If Ru is in loop to let Palmyra go what is all this bombardment about in T4 by Ru?
Any gyan gurus?

yes lots of contradictory signals for all sides - except isis - who as usual do what they do best - kill as easy as they breathe
maybe the covenant was to let palmyra go, but not T4 which is 40k west....as usual isis/illuminati may have done a double crossing play and just carried on toward Quraytyn and putin is scrambling to save his h&d and credibility in damascus
one more thing - palmyr was a inactive front for months and russia as we know has very limited manpower over there incl contractors. there are so many other active fronts to put this limited manpower . what were they doing there sitting in this camp? how many were there ...the dining hall and overall camp looked quite smallish

yet on stuff like the v-22 osprey they will spend scads of money......

nothing can compare to equipment levels of a US Army heavy infantry or armored division. Nothing..... the Marine Corps has can compare. No way, no how.
it should be noted that when the US Army invaded Iraq, they laid a 12" fuel pipeline right behind them for hundreds of miles as they went into Iraq with periodic pumping stations every 10 to 20 miles.
It made the Marines look like a bunch of broke hill billies in comparison with their lorry trucks toodling along behind them.

the army tries to get all of its soldiers some hot chow once a day. the Marines....... r u kidding me?
in the Marines you can go at least 90 days or longer before you get your first plate of hot chow or clean uniform.....easily...

Re: Levant crisis - III
In an interview with RT, Assad says that western powers are trying to stop the Syrian army offensive against ISIS terrorist groups by ordering Russia to put pressure on Damascus.
* * *
RT will be airing an exclusive interview with Syrian President Assad, one day after the Syrian government liberated Aleppo from the clutches of ISIS terrorists…much to the displeasure of western powers.
Here are a few key excerpts before the video that airs later today.
RT: Western countries have been repeatedly asking Russia and Iran to put pressure on you to, as they put it, stop the violence. Just recently, six western nations asked Russia and Iran again to put pressure on you, asking for a ceasefire in Aleppo. At the time when your army was progressing, they were asking for a ceasefire.
President Assad: “It is always important in politics to read between the lines, not to be electoral, does not matter what they ask. The translation of their statement is for Russia – ‘Please stop the advancement of the Syrian army against the terrorists.’ That is the meaning of that statement, forget of all the rest. You went too far in defeating the terrorists that should not happened. You should tell the Syrians to stop this, we have to kill the terrorists and save them.”

Re: Levant crisis - III
Over 350 terrorists decided to surrender to the SAA last night instead to being shipped to Idlib, they are saying there is huge dispute among the terrorists left in Aleppo, the die hards that do not want to leave and the others that prefers to live another day. The die hards believe that if they leave Aleppo they will be cursed by their fellow die hards as traitors. There is no simple solution with these people, it seems the deal is over for sometime, fight will resume and more area will have to be liberated, but meantime expect more terrorists to surrender and the few civilians to be evacuated, there are not many civilians left, maybe terrorists’ families etc..
The real bulk are terrorists, all sort of them, expect also infighting among them, this thread of relief due to hope, cold shower, hope again, cold shower will kill any partnership among the terrorists, it will be a mess in the tiny little place they hold now in Aleppo.
The bad news is that the terrorists are shelling the western districts and killing civilians as always, the good news is that eastern and northeastern sides of the pockets are poor in defenses and wide open, the SAA and allies may use of artillery, missiles and air attacks to soften the terrain to the large concentration of the terrorists.
