Two pieces on Christine Fair.

The sad story of the rise and fall of C Christine Fair

She initially wrote stuff and did some plain talking abt Pakis to endear herself to Indians. And India and INdians having seen or read only those who were Paki-pasand for a long long time, all flocked to her like moths. But there was always something about this woman which I found slimy. The Urdu, the Youtube video of a Paki being humiliated with her response about Kashmir. That and also my personal nature of not trusting Amreekis in the social/political/media sphere who carry the white man#s burden in Ind-Pak conflict.
I think mediacrooks came up with the term monkey-balancing.C.Fair played the game well but then eventually did reveal the monkey(balancer)in her.

The second one:‘F**K YOU. GO TO HELL’: Georgetown Prof Loses It On Muslim Trump Voter

There seems to be more to Fair's bizarre tirade. my guess is that she was in line for some plump role under democrats but Trump victory put paid to all that.

Not really, it is a Chinese show for Agony. They now know that thier original gameplan has been smashed and don't how to react. This is only publicity stunt.

Boss I meant the same thing. Note that the Pakis were very quiet about the Babur for a long time. And now suddenly Babur 3 appears out of the blue. Wouldn't be surprised if it's actually a Chinese sub which did the firing, if at all there was one.

Probably it was shipped out to Bakis a while ago and Agni Agony was used as a justification to fire off one of the imported stock.

In my opinion, The Global Times article was not a pointer of things to come, but an admission of what had already transpired- Cheen is likely to have shipped in quite a few units of assorted missiles to Pakistan. With all the noises about Gwadar being a PLA/PLAN base, why not have a few missiles placed under their command as well, "for tactical reasons"?

China has probably built up a decent stockpile in Pakistan and they are also likely to retain full control over most of this. From time to time, Pakis will be allowed to fire one randomly picked up from the production stock- Pakis will get to gloat about their pindigenous missile technology for echh and dee purposes and the Chinese will be able to test their field stock in the background.

This would also preclude any ambitious and too-cunning-for-his-own-good jarnail from "accidentally" launching one into the Han hinterland.

Hat tip to the Chinese for having pushed on with what they feel is their supreme national interest and ensuring that we will keep getting bogged down by a lightweight like TSP.

Now, need to see how we are able to counter all those or would we be in catch-up mode w.r.t whatever the Chinese are inflicting on us ( via proxies)

Last thing India needs is for Pakistan to become a bridge between Shias and Sunnis! So it's a great development! Now how about 100K Paki jawan on loans in the killing fields of Yemen and Syria!

Pakistan’s ex-army chief Raheel Sharif to lead Sunni Nato against Shia Muslim World

About Babur-3, we have to understand something. Babur-2 itself was inducted into service after just one test. It is clearly a Chinese LACM, CH-10 or C-602. The Chinese claimed to have developed a Submarine-launched cruise missile to be deployed on their Shang-class Type 093 subs last year. Characteristically, the new missile had a range of 290 Km which is a dead give-away that it is meant for transfer or sale. The Type-093 recently surfaced in Arabian Sea, tailed by Indian subs all the way from Indonesia. This sub fired the missile into Pakistan's coastal Balochistan, IMO. This is claimed by Pakistan as its own missile, perhaps because the eight subs of the Yuan-classthat Pakistan is getting from China could be equipped with these SLCMs and also thereby offering plausible deniability to Chinese missile transfers. China must be wary of missile transfers henceforth because India is into that club now and all decisions are based on consensus, just like NSG. This is a Chinese demo firing to convince the customer.

"Good News"From Pakistan :

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has miracleously escaped the list of the world’s worst Airlines.
SLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has miracleously escaped the list of the world’s worst Airlines.
However Air India has been categorised as the world’s 3rd most worst airline in the world. ( so, no = = here !)
The 10 worst airlines of 2016:
10. Hainan Airlines – 30.3 per cent
9. Korean Air – 31.74 per cent
8. Air China – 32.73 per cent
7. Hong Kong Airlines – 33.42 per cent
6. China Eastern Airlines – 35.8 per cent
5. Asiana Airlines – 37.46 per cent
4. Philippine Airlines – 38.33 per cent
3. Air India – 38.71 per cent
2. Icelandair – 41.05 per cent
1. El Al – 56 per cent

So, Pakistanis can derive some "satisfaction" from this list ; however, deliberately or by accident, no original source cited for this rating , so "digest it" at your own risk ! One or two of the above ( Hainan, Korean ) advertise quite a bit in Massaland . Also not sure on what criteria the list was prepared (safety, service, airline history, type and age of planes, customer survey ).

SSridhar, it is clear and understood that the Chinese have passed on the missiles to Pakistanis. Regarding the "thuggery" related to the tests, the discussion and message is totally different and focussed on the fake video. You understand that there is nothing honest about Pakistan. This is another example, out in public domain.

If they had (or have) a Chinese missile they should have tested and shown that video. Maybe they did test the Chinese missile but do not have the video. Then, they could have just issued a statement. There was no need to publish a fake video. The lie here is the video itself as of now.

Further lies may be corroborated with NAVAREA warnings or NOTAMS for airspace etc.

A point of interests - @rajfortyseven handle on twitter has some good tweets. He has also been tracking Chinese submarines.

If you pause the video at exactly when the "missile" hits the red flag, you will note the color of the missile is white/whitish, and not red.

Civilian Govt Of Pakistan Feigning Ignorance Over Abducted Activists

Pakistan pressed over 'abducted’ activists- BBC
Human rights groups are holding protests across Pakistan to demand the authorities trace four activists who have gone missing in the past week.
No group has said it is holding them. All four aired views critical of the military or militancy on social media.Pakistan's parliament expressed grave concern over their fate on Monday. The government says it is investigating the case of one of the four, Salman Haider, who has campaigned against enforced disappearances in Balochistan.Supporters of the men accuse the security services of having secretly arrested them.
The parliament ( in name only !) should approach the "real govt " and "beg" the security services to release them for the sake of "Pakistan's image abroad"
The disappearances have alarmed liberals involved in social activism in Pakistan, where the military has long promoted a hardline Islamist narrative as a bulwark to protect its financial ( CPEC moolah !) and security interests. Many believe the civilian government is feigning ignorance about the men's whereabouts, and see that as all the more reason to believe that military intelligence operatives are involved.
Many watchers of Paki political scene would say that "they have seen such a movie before also :D
Mr Haider, a well-known poet and university professor, was last seen in Islamabad on Friday, two days after bloggers Waqas Goraya and his cousin Asim Saeed went missing in Lahore.Another blogger, Ahmed Raza Naseer, who has polio, disappeared from his shop in Skeikhupura near Lahore on Saturday. The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan said it was "greatly alarmed" by their disappearance.
Leading English-language daily Dawn said that the authorities could not hide an ugly truth
"A dark new chapter in the state's murky, illegal war against civil society appears to have been opened," it said in an editorial.
This leading English daily, Dawn of Pakistan should know a thing or two about the methods employed by the Deep State to "punish reporters or media not toying Govt line" ; one of their leading reporters, recently had to take shelter in USA after the "real Govt" did not like an article he had published about the civil-military tussle that happened in a high -level meeting

Islamic Alliance against terror starts to take shape

Appointment of retired Pakistani general ( Raheel Sharif ) allows the Alliance to develop its military strategies

This "Gulf News" farticle does not make a single reference to the Sunni-Shia tussle going on in Yemen or the Saudi - Iran rivalry for the "hearts and minds of the Muslim Ummah ". So much so for balanced reporting.

PS: Many non-partial observers believe that Raheel is being hired, so he can do "something" for the Saudis in Yemen !

Raheel's Appointment Drama Continues

Raheel Sharif ‘sets three conditions’ to become head of Islamic military alliance
KARACHI: Former Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has put forth three conditions to assume the command of a 39-nation Islamic military alliance, a retired army officer claimed.Former Pakistan army officer Lt-Gen (retd) Amjad Shoaib told Samaa that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had given approval after Saudi authorities expressed their desire to appoint General (retd) Raheel as the chief of the military alliance.
The prime minister, Lt-Gen Amjad said, told Saudi government that it would be an honour for the country. The former military officer revealed that General (retd) Raheel set three conditions for taking up the new job that are as followed:
- To include Iran in the military alliance so that the organization doesn’t look sectarian in nature. ( fat chance as Saudis are paying his "salary" )
- He'll not work under anyone’s command.
( the Enchendee factor which the Saudis may like to forget !)
- He'll have the mandate to act as an arbitrator if there is a need to promote harmony among Muslim countries. ( He still wants the Field Marshalship very badly  )

It seems that every Abdul, Ali, and Asif ( see the "interview" by the Retd Lt Gen ) is putting is own two bits on this 'important' post that is being offered to the "Bad Sharif"; confirmation of his appointment is being "confirmed" by everyone else.( as the so-called prestige of Pakiland is at stake !). One important piece of the puzzle is missing. Why is Raheel quiet. The whole of Pakistan is eagerly awaiting the news from the general's horseass's mouth !

Sunni Terrorist Fragments of Unstable Pakistan- November 7, 2016

Spectacular dive of the ghazi general - Ayaz Amir

Our outgoing general on the basis of his record was considered a better commander than most in our water-logged history, taking decisions and risks that others were too afraid or nervous to take.

As a result he rose in popular estimation, hailed as a hero by ordinary people, truck-drivers and the like who put his portrait on the back of their vehicles. Armchair Stalinists such as myself who are good at nursing dreams of change and even revolution from the comfort of their sofas, played with the notion that after the defeat of terrorism the national stables could also somehow be cleaned.

The liberati kept its own counsel. Its votaries didn’t like the way military performance was outshining civilian fumbling. But as Fata was freed from the grip of the Taliban, and Karachi liberated from the clutches of the MQM, there was not much the liberati could do except for its champions to grit their teeth in silence. With the chief’s exit they started finding their voice and took to denigrating what the armed forces had achieved.

But nothing that the denigrators could do comes close to what the chief, expected to perform the labours of Hercules, has managed to do to himself. The word, now more than a rumour, that he is about to take service under the Saudi crown has at a stroke demolished the image built up over the last three years.

The Islamic Military Alliance he is supposed to head is a phantom organisation, certainly non-existent on the ground but, more alarmingly, existing not even on paper. Before Saudi Arabia’s all-powerful chequebook diplomacy needy Muslim nations defer, and as rich experience tells us none is more permanently in need than the Islamic world’s sole nuclear power, proud possessor of missiles with reaches near and far, known also in more heady moments as the Fortress of Islam. But deference is one thing, actual commitment something else.

Even those most ready to incline their heads before the Defenders of the Two Holy Mosques6, the Harmain Sharifain, will demur, and start coughing with fingers on their mouths, when it comes to actually putting troops under Saudi command, even if the troops are headed by Reichsmarschall Raheel Sharif, Nishan-e-Imtiaz, etc.

There are any number of Muslim countries that would not like to let down the Saudis verbally. But no one is rushing in with troops and equipment. So what Afrika Korps, what desert army, will Gen Raheel be commanding?

More to the point, are we so dumb in Pakistan that we don’t understand what’s happening in the Middle East and the nature of the wars raging there? The Saudis say that their phantom defence alliance – comprising 34 nations, which is another surprise – is to fight terrorism. One wishes it were that simple.

Terrorism lies in the eyes of the beholder. It means one thing to the Saudis, the Qataris and the Emiraatis; quite a different thing to Iran, Syria, Hezbollah and Russia. Along the battle-lines drawn today in a region that is burning, where societies stand destroyed and millions of refugees have been put on the march, one nation’s terrorists are another nation’s friends.

The Houthis in Yemen are terrorists in Saudi eyes. For Iran they are beleaguered allies deserving of help. In Syria, Saudi Arabia and Qatar are on the side of the anti-Assad forces. Iran and Hezbollah are Assad’s principal backers. Without their help he would not have survived. In Iraq, meanwhile, Iran and the government in Baghdad consider their enemy to be Daesh. For Saudi Arabia the main concern in Iraq is not the presence of Daesh but the dominance of the Shia element and the pro-Iranian tilt of the Baghdad government.

From all of which it becomes clear that far from there being a united Islamic front against terrorism, the Muslim world, as always, is divided from end to end. There are two coalitions in the Middle East today: one led by Saudi Arabia, the other by Iran, and never the twain shall meet.

So let not the Reichsmarscall, the ghazi general, kid himself or fool the Pakistani nation. If he goes on the no doubt extremely profitable but at bottom fool’s errand of commanding a force that does not exist, he will be going not as an emblem of unity, enhancing the honour of Pakistan, but as a partisan in a partisan setting, ending up doing Saudi bidding and serving Saudi interests…and reinforcing the unfortunate impression existing about Pakistan that for the right amount of recompense – let us avoid recourse to such crude terms as dollars – this country’s leading lights, its high and mighty, can be counted upon to do anything.

Still, the general is best judge of his own interest. If he thinks the move to the holy sands serves him best so be it. One more illusion shattered, that is all. And a hard lesson to armchair Stalinists: change doesn’t come just like that, and it certainly doesn’t come through any shortcuts. The way for it is long and we in Pakistan are not prepared to take it. We don’t have the stamina, we don’t have the will. We have just the talk and the empty yearning.

One other thing comes out from the ghazi’s expected move to the Holy Land. Whatever the sacrifices of officers and men in uniform, and their sacrifices have been great or reactionary militancy in Fata – threatening the foundations of Pakistan – would never have been pushed back, the Pakistan army remains a deeply conservative institution, almost genetically programmed to throw in its lot, when the chips are down, with the most reactionary tendencies in the wider world of Islam. From the Afghan ‘jihad’ to the choices made post-9/11 this defining proclivity has been fully on display.

Thank God we didn’t go into Yemen
, as our brothers, warriors of the magical chequebooks, wanted us to. The general now seems to be making up for that lost opportunity.

The Tolstoyan question recurs: how much land does a man require? A three-star general, admiral or air marshal in the normal course of things here acquires – and legitimately enough, it’s all legal – so many plots to his name that should he so wish he could start a housing society of his own. Yet we see senior retired officers restless, itching for more profitable employment.

I’ve said it before but it bears repeating, the army should raise a monument to the Taliban. We sought not this war; the TTP forced it upon us. If the army is battle-hardened it is not out of choice but necessity. The higher echelons, however, have given up none of their old ways. You can see this from their housing colonies, the living style to which they have become accustomed. Do they invite comparisons with the high commands of legend: Prussian, Vietnamese, or even the Turkish under Mustafa Kemal?

Ah, the litmus test: would Mustafa Kemal have taken service under any crown?

Is there something wrong with the soil and water of Pakistan?

Cheers Image

Paki Parliamentarians Railroad FATA Merger Plan

Parliamentary parties give consent to Fata merger plan
ISLAMABAD: All hurdles in the way of the proposed merger of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been removed as all parliamentary parties have given their consent to the plan. The process of bringing Fata under the administrative control of the KP government will begin after approval of the plan by the federal cabinet which is likely to meet next week.Earlier, the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F) and Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) expressed their reservations over the merger, but the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government managed to persuade the two parties for the plan. The PML-N, Pakistan Peoples Party, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and Jamaat-i-Islami have demanded immediate merger of Fata with KP.
“We have addressed the concern of JUI-F and PkMAP,” Mr Baloch said but did not elaborate. He said the Fata reforms report would be presented before the cabinet again for approval.
Was the consent of the general populace living in FATA taken ( the region is currently being "cleansed of terrorists" by the Paki Fauj !). Was a referendum held ( like in the British days !)
Earlier, Maulana Fazl alleged that the committee had violated its mandate as it was tasked with proposing reforms for political mainstreaming of Fata, and not to suggest its merger with the province. Will Malauna Diesel's clout decrease after the merger

Very important decision taken in a very casual way - at least IMO !

Falijee and Peregrine,

Riyal Sharif turned out Badmash Sharif for Pakistan.

He has disappointed his faithfools in Pakistan. They feel let down
Showed that kabila guards are only after moolah and not about iman.

This is as big as Vienna was for Ottomans.

Prem, Can you design a jilebi shaped in a crescent and we can call it Riyalbi to commemorate this?

This is all good, whichever way Riyal Sharif crumbles. A Sunni Pakistani general leading a Sunni Saudi coalition obviously pointed directly against Shia Iran can only mean good things for the staggering record of Shia Sunni harmony in Pakistan.

All sectarian groups like AWSJ have welcomed Raheel's appointment. LeJ will feel very vindicated. We have so far not heard of Iran's reaction. Should be interesting when it comes.

Raheel's condition on inclusion of Iran is a hogwash. Does he think Raheel Sharif will end a 1400 year old , extremely bloodied feud?

Ok, personally, Raheel will make a fortune. Is there something beyond that for Pakistani Army? Raheel, though retired, cannot be seen in isolation with the new COAS or the corps commanders et al.

Except for Egypt, I doubt if any other fighting force of this coalition is worth its salt. I doubt if Egypt will commit anything significantly. Will Raheel conscript ex-PA soldiers/officers & pro-PA terrorists in?

I wouldn't be surprised when they bill the Saudis for Coalition Support Funds for the Sunni PA soldiers, Thundar Bandars, Babur missiles, Al Khalid tanks etc.

Only that traffic will mostly be one way traffic of mostly goods carriers ... mostly from China to Bakistan ... and perhaps beyond via Gwadar.

So no major reverse flow, a few essential lacking in western China perhaps, carried back by returning Chinese trucks .... but certainly not of piglets.

Raheel's conditions (or what is fed as such to gullible Paki media) is for local consumption and for consumption of Iran. There is no way in hell Saudis are going to agree to condition #1 and condition #3. Regarding condition #2, for operational matters, bad Sharif may not be under someone else's military command but would be under the command of the Saudi and other sunni royals.

Pakis as usual are itching to run with the hare and hunt with the hound. Irnanians and Pakistani Shias are smarter than that.

Ian Chappell blasts Pakistan (ironic choice of word)
Former Australian skipper Ian Chappell has called on his country’s cricket board not to invite Pakistan for Test series Down Under in future unless the struggling Asian side improve their performance and provide some sort of challenge to the home side.
Criticising Pakistan’s inability to play competitive cricket in the tournament, Chappell warned the Misbah-ul-Haq’s side to either stop playing poor cricket or just stay at home
somebody’s got to give them a kick up the bum
The proverbial Hobson's Choice dilemma for the bakis. Since they can't play cricket at home....

Fatwa-worthty?

Day not far when Pakistan will be considered a 'minorities-friendly' country: PM
We have promoted the vision with our actions that 'to each his own faith, as humanity is our common asset
He said followers of all religions have equal rights in Pakistan
What's next? A Hindu prime minister? Where's a good, bankable fatwa when you need one? Surely the faithful founders of that islamic nation are turning in their graves by now?

Here's a messed up paki which typifies the inbreds in bakiland.
Dear Professor,

I am a 24-year-old guy. My issue is that my older brother had nikah with my paternal aunt’s daughter and then he went to study abroad. It was done after my parents had taken his opinion about my cousin and no one forced him to say yes. Originally, the girl’s parents wanted just a ‘baat pakki’ ceremony, which means a proper proposal is taken with mithai, but it is not an engagement. But then God knows why they changed their mind and insisted on a nikah ceremony. After the nikah, my brother went abroad and after almost six months, he sent written divorce to my cousin and married a native girl to obtain that country’s citizenship. Now my parents want me to marry my cousin to maintain peace in the family. When I refused, they became very angry and since then they have been trying to pressurise me into marrying my former sister-in-law. I want to marry my classmate, S, and had said nothing to my family in this regard because I wanted to establish myself first. I had this idea that marrying S would not be easy because in my family marriages outside the community are not acceptable. So, I thought I should be able to support my wife in case my parents threaten to cut me off financially. S’s parents want her to be married within a year, and she has two very good proposals, and S says she won’t go against her parents. I, on the other hand, need at least two years to establish myself. I am not earning enough to rent a house and support her. And my parents say that my brother has already embarrassed them, and if I don’t marry my cousin, my sisters will remain spinsters, as no one in the community will marry them. I do feel for my parents and I love my sisters also. I realise that marrying off my sisters would be a very difficult thing because my community is extremely strict and they will break ties with my family if we don’t make amends, but what about my happiness? No one is concerned about what I desire. What should I do?

X Posted from the "Pakistani Role In Global Terrorism" thread.

The Mohammadden Terrorist Fomenting Islamic Republic of Pakistan again suffers the blow back of the policy of fomenting Mohammadden Terrorism in an attempt to intimidate neighbouring countries, including India

Federation of International Cricketers’ Associations (FICA) has released a statement that the plan of the Pakistan Cricket Boards (PCB) plan to play the final of the Pakistan Super League in Lahore is not sound as the risk level in Pakistan remains “at an extremely elevated state” and that “an acceptable level of participant security and safety cannot be expected or guaranteed”.

Needless to add the Mohammadden Terrorist Fomenting Islamic Republic of Pakistan is quite agitated at this blow to Honour and Dignity aka H&D:

Pakistan and the Nuclear Suppliers Group
Pakistan cannot meet its energy requirements until it receives a Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) waiver like India obtained in 2008. The NSG was created against the background of the Indian nuclear explosions in 1974 to regulate the transfer of nuclear technologies. However, India was offered the NSG waiver thereby obtaining the same benefits as the nuclear non-proliferation treaty (NPT) states in the form of the Indo-US nuclear deal in 2008. India is now bidding for the NSG membership which requires a state to sign the NPT before formally entering this exclusive club. India formally submitted its membership application on 12 May 2016 followed by Pakistan on 19 May in the same year.
India is keen to join the cartel to achieve global support for its civil nuclear deals. It aims at achieving a recognized nuclear state status. India also wants to ease the pathway to secure a permanent seat in the UNSC. This is why, India is busy implementing a sustained military build-up involving the use of modern state of the art weapons systems, ballistic missiles, nuclear powered submarines capable of launching ICBMs, large aircraft carriers capable of operating fixed-wing combat aircrafts, substantial surface warfare and submarine fleet and sophisticated air platforms.
Considering its domestic power starvation and deficiency that plagues its development and endangers human security, Pakistan needs to secure membership in the NSG, but guided by a new formula that defines nuclear cooperation based on new realities of the 21st century. Pakistan has to plan to build more nuclear power plants to add electricity to its national grid to ensure energy security and accelerate the pace of economic development. It is confident that it can accomplish this task by further promoting nuclear security norms and implementing its national energy plans, under the IAEA’s safeguards.

Felled Marshal,Raheel (to heel boy!)of the Sherrifs of Cameltown,Supreme Commander of the ghost army of the Sunnis of the sand dunes, will now have to face off with his Shiite counterpart, the legendary Persian general,Supreme Commander of all Shiite forces in the Levant, victor of Aleppo,etc.,etc.,one Q.Suleimani.This future duel in the desert will be keenly anticipated by military buffs worldwide should the ghost army actually gets its hands on enough weaponry to undertake "expeditionary warfare" in the region.

Having been shafted by the US and the west, the Soothis are desperate for a miltary man to hold the fort of Sunni Wahaabism.None better than a Paki general, from a nation and army that has never won a war!But then "b*ggers can't be choosers" what?!

The blast killed a total of at least 11 people and wounded 16 others, mostly top Afghan government officials. Provincial governor Homayun Azizi and UAE ambassador to Kabul, Juma Mohammed Abdullah al-Kaabi, were among those wounded.
Link to the Mohammadden Terrorism Fomenting Islamic Republic of Pakistan and in particular to the notorious intelligence arm of the Uniformed Jihadi’s of the Punjabi Dominated Military, the Inter Services Intelligence Directorate aka ISI aka ISID, emerges in the Kandahar bombing in which 5 diplomats of the UAE were killed.

Afghanistan’s Khaama Press reports “The provincial police chief of the southern Kandahar province General Abdul Raziq has said notorious Haqqani terrorist network with the support of Pakistan’s Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) were behind the deadly attack on governor’s compound.” :
