Mush Playing ( Long - Distance !) Games With Paki "Justice System"

Musharraf wants 'foolproof security' if he is to appear in court

Part of the strategy of this self-styled and publicity hungry Kammandu to "stay relevant" in the Paki political scene . In this day and age of social media, a few announcements at strategically timed moments ( "Raheel was instrumental in helping me flee abroad" !) plus a few media interviews will ensure that he is not "forgotten" by the Aam Abduls and his "legions of admirers" . Money is no problem for him !

Zardari to attend Trump’s inauguration
ISLAMABAD – Former president Asif Ali Zardari will attend the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump later this month, close aides said.
Trump, who won the US election against Democrat Hillary Clinton in November, will take oath on January 20th in Washington. This will mark an end to eight-year Democrat rule. Mike Pence will take charge as the vice president.
According to The Nation, a senior PPP leader told the scribe, that Zardari had been invited to Trumps inauguration and he would fly to the US to attend it. ( Is it possible that with his vast ill gotten wealth, Dus - Percenti has had some business dealings with the Donald !) Bilawal has also been invited but he may not go due to party engagement. Zardari will not be in the US for long, he said. The PPP leader, a confidante of the party co-chairman, said that Zardari would also undergo a routine medical check-up in the US. ( Is he still suffering from "depression" as some reports had suggested ?)The government has still not confirmed whether Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will attend Trumps oath-taking but the premier is likely to visit the US soon for a bilateral meeting with the new president-elect. ( Will Ganja do an = = with his corrupt political rival and invite himself to DC  )

Pak should 'neutralize' terror groups, says Donald Trump's pick for US defence secretary James Mattis

WASHINGTON: In a tough message to Pakistan, James Mattis, Donald Trump's pick for US defence secretary, has said that if confirmed, he would tell Islamabad the need to "expel or neutralize" externally-focused militant groups operating with impunity within the country.

In his written submission to the Senate Armed Services Committee ahead of his confirmation hearing on Thursday, Mattis noted that "conditioning our security assistance" to Pakistan has a mixed history, "but I will review all option."

"If confirmed, I will work with the State Department and the Congress to incentivise Pakistan's co-operation on issues critical to our national interests and the region's security, with focus on Pakistan's need to expel or neutralize externally-focused militant groups that operate within its borders," said Mattis. Trump, Matis, State Department, US Congress can INCENTIVISE CWAPISTAN all they want but just as the Skunks never stops to Stink similarly the US can incentivise Cwapistan via the US State Department and Congress all they want but the SKUNKS NEVER STOP TO STINK. After all it is well said "CWAPISTAN THY OTHER NAME IS *SL*M*C TERRORISM"

The 66-year-old Marine general, who retired in 2013 after serving as commander of US Central Command, was responding to a question if he supports conditioning US aid to Pakistan.

Nick-named as "Mad Dog" Mattis, the retired general told lawmakers that Pakistan has "learned some hard lessons" because of its dealings with the Afghan Taliban, as violence in that country reflects.

"I believe they should do more to collaborate with their neighbour. We should urge Pakistan to take further actions against the Taliban and the Haqqani network," Mattis said.

Haqqani network, which is linked to al-Qaida, has been blamed for several deadly attacks against Western and Indian interests in Afghanistan, including the 2008 bombing of the Indian mission in Kabul.

"Sanctuaries and freedom of movement for the Afghan Taliban and associated militant networks inside Pakistani territory is a key operational issue faced by the Afghan security forces. If confirmed, I will examine efforts to deny sanctuary to the extremist forces undermining the stability and security of Afghanistan," he said, responding to a query.

Arguing that countries in the region "have the responsibility to support the reconciliation process" in Afghanistan, Mattis said the countries in the region "should increase pressure on the Afghan Taliban and associated militant networks" to stop their campaigns of violence.

For years, Pakistan has battled internally-focused extremist organisations within its border and with US help, he said.
"In a sign of its commitment, its military has suffered significant casualties in this counterinsurgency effort," Mattis said, adding that the US has conducted military exercises with Pakistan in an effort to increase thrust and interoperability.

From the mouth of a paki:

‘Charas’ is a drug of saints, says Shahi Syed
Shahi Syed, Senator Awami National Party (ANP), has suggested death penalty for the Pakistani politicians who consume alcohol.
About consumption of Charas, Shahi Syed said, “it is a drug of saints.”
Does djinnah count?

Hafiz Saeed Terror Attack Boast Exposes His Ties To Paki Deep State !

Pak terror lies exposed again: Hafiz Saeed Desribes Akhnoor Attack While Sitting In POK !
Hafiz Saeed, the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) founder and the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks mastermind, has on Pakistani soil recounted how terrorists carried out an attack on a General Reserve Engineer Force (GREF) camp at Akhnoor in Jammu and Kashmir recently.
Saeed has been caught on tape boasting that four militants from Pakistan had perpetrated the terror attack and "cleaned 10 [Army camps]."
Saeed is heard saying at the gathering: "Four young men, day before yesterday in the evening, entered the camp at Akhnoor, Jammu. I am talking about something recent, it's not an old event, it happened two days ago. They entered the army camp, the young men say they cleaned up 10 camps of Indian troops and all four of them returned safe and secure, they were not harmed."Saeed termed the attack — in which three civilian labourers were killed — a "surgical strike."
He added: "[Indian Prime Minister Narendra] Modi also talked about a surgical strike, I had replied to Modi. [Pakistani Prime Minister] Nawaz Sharif doesn't reply to Modi, I reply to Modi, by the grace of God. And he only accepts my reply, not the reply of anyone else." Saeed is a "willing tool" of the Paki Deep State , but he should be careful of RAA agents in his inner circle , if he wants to avoid these kind of leaks in the future

Ganja Sharif And His Government Taken For A Ride :D

Salamat Chauhan faked as a Minister of Financial and Consumer Affairs for six whole years :!:
In a shocking turn of events which are likely to make Pakistan a global laughing stock, the FIA has arrested a ‘fake’ minister who had been duping everyone including government departments and even the PM house, for over six years. Ganja and his cronies should leave no stone unturned to ensure that this is Fake News
A person named Salamat Ali Chauhan, pretended to be a federal minister of Financial and Consumer Affairs for the last six years. He has been impersonating as a federal official even before this government took over and was never caught when the government changed and new ministers took oath. Was he also attending Cabinet Meetings and was privy to Deep State Secrets- Enquiring minds like to know
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) finally caught up with this fake federal minister and arrested him on Saturday.Salamat Chauhan has been obtaining favors from the government authorities and the public. He has been looting the public by taking bribes to comply with their requests. He has had political influence over the authorities for so long and these government departments never bothered to verify the identity of the minister. He had his own official number, granted by PTCL, and an office in Lahore with staff. He had submitted a request to get official cars and security. Social media ( like this report !) is getting a "free ride" ; it is high time ( if the media buzz is to be believed ) that the real Paki Govt i.e. Deep State should clamp down on such "unfounded fake news" :D
He boasted that he could get loans for people, and in turn, made millions. The fake minister wrote letters to relevant authorities asking for an office, staff and security. He even wrote letters to the Prime Minister House and the ministry of finance asking for cooperation which were actually received by these offices without any verification. However, the government has declined replying to or accepting any of his requests. In a brazen attempt which defies understanding, he asked the PM for a meeting to discuss unemployment in Pakistan. :rotfl:
Did Ganja oblige ?
Furthermore, FIA has informed the media that Chauhan had written to the Lahore District Coordination Officer (DCO) for personal security. The request was accepted and forwarded to the DIG Police.According to the FIA, these are only few of the instances as Chauhan has written letters to different government departments in all provinces and none made the effort to verify the letters and hence reveal his ruse. So, there is lot of scope for a Nawaz Sharif lookalike ( or a Ganja "double" ) to make millions in Pakiland !
Mr. Chauhan has been shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation according to FIA officials.
It is quite incredible how a person posed as a fake government official, let alone a federal minister, for such a long time. The most embarrassing thing is that he wasn’t lying low. He was interacting with officials, ministries and kept an office while no one caught him. Our government departments have been truly exposed by this incident.
If true, only in Pakistan !

Paki impersonating as a minister and fooling the nation for six years? Pffttt...that's nothing. What about pakiland fooling the rest of the world for 70 years by regularly lying through its teeth?

Pakistan rejects allegations of terrorist safe havens in Fata
Lie #1: Pakistan does not allow its territory to be used for attacks in any other country
Lie #2: Pakistan has lost thousands of its citizens
Lie #3: Pakistan has suffered economic losses of over $100 billion due to terrorism
Lie #4: Pakistan’s contribution in the fight against terrorism and sacrifices have been acknowledged at an international level
Lie #5: Pakistan remains committed to peace efforts in Afghanistan
About the first lie, pakis are "technically" correct. Fata, KP, GB, PoK, etc are not part of it's territory. There is no writ of paki law in those areas. Its like the lie that pakis keep repeating - there is no cross-border terrorism in cashmere. They are "technically" correct there as well. LOC is not a border.

According To This Report In The Friday Times, General Ash-Fxxck Kayani Ex ISI Chief, Ex COAS, Purchased A House For $ 2.5 Million Dollars :D

Our mole happened to be Down Under in a toney, upmarket suburb of Sydney when his guide pointed out some interesting properties to him. “That house”, he said gesturing at a luxurious, sprawling villa, “belongs to a former VVIP from Pakistan and he bought it for $ 2.5 million Australian dollars”, wink-wink, nod-nod. Our mole was most intrigued and implored his informant for the owner’s name. The informant didn’t budge and our mole had to do some digging around all on his own. Persistent as he is, he finally got to the bottom of it and unravelled the mystery. The owner of the luxury Sydney villa turned out to be none other than old Canny, once head honcho of The Boyz who lord it over us.

But unfortunately, he cannot "enjoy" the proceeds of his "hard labour". His name is on the ECL

Pakistan Made 'Counterproductive' Moves Risking Nuclear War: US
Washington: US Vice President Joe Biden has singled out Pakistan along with Russia and North Korea and others for making "counterproductive" moves that only heightened the risk that nuclear weapons could be used in a regional conflict."Not just North Korea, but Russia, Pakistan, and others have made counterproductive moves that only increase the risk that nuclear weapons could be used in a regional conflict in Europe, South Asia, or East Asia," Biden said in his remarks on nuclear security.Working with the Congress, the next administration will have to navigate these dangers and continue leading the global consensus to reduce the role of nuclear weapons in our world, Biden said a week before the end of eight years of the Obama administration."We know that terrorists have both the capacity and the goal of transforming nuclear materials into weapons to sow havoc. And we know that no nation acting alone can defeat this threat," he said.
Referring to the series of steps taken by the Obama administration in last eight years, Biden said these efforts have reduced the supply of nuclear weapons-usable material."And we've not only stepped up the physical protection of facilities where nuclear materials are stored we've greatly improved our ability to detect and seize unregulated nuclear and radiological materials being smuggled in secret," he said..

Sunni Terrorist Fragments of Unstable Pakistan- November 7, 2016

No shortcuts to deliverance
Call this the revenge of the PML-N. So soon after his stepping down they have managed to make controversial their erstwhile nemesis, Gen Raheel Sharif. Look at the defence minister’s forked tongue: first insinuating that the general’s acceptance of the phantom command – of an alliance that exists only in the imagination of its Saudi authors – was almost a done deal, and now backtracking by saying that the government knows nothing about it.

Too clever-by-half, but the damage to the general – which it would not be too far-fetched to assume was the intended purpose – has been done. Who’s to tell retired generalissimo’s what is appropriate, what looks good and what is self-defeating? Why didn’t he come up with a denial, or an explanation, once Khawaja Asif came out with his clever statement? Would it have lowered his dignity? With the general discomfited I can picture the PML-N’s smart guys rubbing their hands in glee.

A word of caution, though: no Gen Raheel Sharif, no Field Marshal Montgomery, can help resolve the many quandaries our Saudi friends have got themselves into. They are stuck in Yemen and there is no easy way out of that quagmire. Their entire stance in Syria has turned out to be wrong. They wanted Assad’s downfall and far from that happening he is emerging as the winner from Syria’s prolonged agony. The Saudis have no Syrian arrow left in their quiver. And in that other war in Iraq they are merely angry bystanders with no meaningful role to play.

Their so-called Islamic Defence Alliance against Terrorism is a futile attempt to claw back some relevance. Sadly, however, no conquering general can infuse meaning into a concept which inherently lacks meaning. So why is Gen Raheel even thinking of taking up this assignment? And if it is remuneration he’s after the less said about that the better.

One thing this incident makes amply clear: if there was a role for the general in domestic politics that door is now effectively shut. The chances are slim that people disillusioned with other possibilities would be streaming towards his door or holding him up as a messiah to solve Pakistan’s many ills and give the country a new start. That illusion is over, sooner than anyone would have thought.

Sunni Terrorist Fragments of Unstable Pakistan- November 7, 2016

X Posted on the Analyzing CPEC Thread

Senior economist raises several questions regarding CPEC

ISLAMABAD: As both countries make steady progress on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Dr Kaiser Bengali, former advisor to Balochistan chief minister, has raised the issue of socio-economic implications of the mega investment project.

Dr Bengali, who till recently was heading Balochistan chief minister’s Policy Reform Unit, raised 12 questions that, according to him, require satisfactory answers in order to protect Pakistan’s economic interests.

The questions encompass socially and politically sensitive topics like protection of jobs, industries, implications of CPEC on Pakistan’s balance of payments, budgetary positions and benefits Balochistan, Pakistan’s most underdeveloped province, would get out of the $55 billion umbrella deal.

In 2013, the Chinese president made the concept of CPEC public for the first time and subsequently both the countries signed CPEC Framework agreement – which now covers projects worth $55 billion, in addition to allied benefits like construction of industrial zones. Last month, the federal government managed to address most of the concerns of the provincial governments after it made them part of development process.

The actual benefits from CPEC will depend on how the corridor is planned and executed, said Dr Bengali. “As an advisor to former CM Balochistan, I would often get questions that did not have answers,” he added.

Was an assessment conducted?

Dr Bengali has asked whether Pakistan prepared an overall CPEC feasibility before formally signing the sovereign agreement with China. He also wants an answer to the question whether CPEC Environment Impact Assessment was carried out or not.

Dr Bengali said that according to his information Pakistan did not conduct feasibility and environment impact studies, although China has conducted its own. However, officials of the Ministry of Planning said that project specific feasibility and environment studies were done.

The issue of environment has also been raised by the Giglit-Baltistan region, the gateway of CPEC, as its environment may get affected due to transit traffic that will pass through its scenic mountainous roads.

Dr Bengali has put forward questions on the shares of Pakistan and Balochistan in Gwadar port revenues. Dr Bengali is currently member National Finance Commission on behalf of Balochistan. He said that there was no clarity whether Gwadar-Khunjerab Highway will be a toll road and if so, what will be the provincial share in revenues generated by the National Highway Authority?

The planning ministry says revenue will be shared according to the existing arrangements between the centre and the federation.

Adverse impact of CPEC on local industries

One of the most important questions the economist has raised is about the positive and adverse impacts of Pakistan becoming a transit route of China on local industries. According to the existing arrangement, China is bringing goods, machinery and labour for the construction of CPEC projects. The hope that these construction activities would generate economic activities is fading away.

However, the planning ministry said that in the 6th Joint Cooperation Committee meeting both countries agreed to include nine industrial parks in the CPEC framework, which will promote manufacturing activities.

Tax exemptions offered to CPEC-related projects

Dr Bengali also raised the question about the quantum of tax exemptions to CPEC-related imports and its impacts on state revenues and the manufacturing sector. The government has already granted an income tax holiday status to Gwadar Port. It has also exempted all types of taxes on two big infrastructure projects of CPEC.

It has waived off dividend tax on the income of the Chinese financial institutions. Recently, it has waived off all types of taxes on construction and income generated by Chinese from the four mass train transit projects being built in four provincial capitals.

Rough estimates suggest, so far Rs150 billion worth tax exemptions have been given to CPEC-related projects, according to sources in the Federal Board of Revenue. These include Rs80 billion exemptions to four mass transit projects.

Dr Bengali has also asked that what will be the medium and long-term implications of the CPEC arrangement on the country’s balance of payment position and impact of foreign exchange inflows in shape of loans, foreign direct investment and outflows out flows in shape of debt repayment, profit and outward remittances.

Share of locals

So far, CPEC-related imports have adversely affected the country’s trade balance and the federal government is trying to find a way to book these loans as FDI.

According to him, another question is; what is the budgetary burden on Pakistan for protecting Chinese roads and sea convoys. This is a very critical point, as the federal government is demanding the four provinces to give away 3% of their divisible pool for security purposes.

Dr Bengali also asked about the jobs for locals in the security units, being raised for CPEC-related protection, recruited from districts through which the Gwadar-Khunjerab Highway passes. The planning ministry has said that many projects have been initiated in Gwadar to make the locals part of the development activity.

He also wants answers to the question regarding water provision plan for Gwadar and the plan to ensure that Gwadar does not become a Baloch minority city.

Wonder why Canny's name is in ECL hain ji?
1. Is it because he is a Shia?
2. Is it because he hid OBL as ISI chief and then as Army chief?
3. Is it because he was responsible for 26/11 and other terrorist attacks?
4. Is it because he was responsible for terror strikes against NATO forces in Afghanistan as ISI chief and then as Army chief?

Would love to know.
It seems he is in the same boat as Xerox Khan, who the 3 and 4 lettered intel agencies would Luvv to extract info from. One notes that the No 2 Al Qaida is still a state guest in La La Land, and as soon as ISIS winds up, it will be time for the pak fauj to dust the good ol' Al Q guys and again try and be the frontline state in what ever...

Ex-COAS Gen Beg Pleads For Islami Rule In Pakistan

The terrible mindset
Pakistan appears to be at war with itself, as a result of a terrible mindset causing deep divisions in the social order. As early as 1958, when the Khans of Kalat protested for their political rights, it was taken as revolt and the Army was let loose on them. Such actions have been repeated five times against other tribes in Balochistan. Since 2005, the army has been used to settling political issues in Swat, Dir, Bajaur, Waziristan and FATA region. We do not realise that, unlike our people in Punjab and Sindh, who protest by blocking roads, sit-ins, dharnas and lock-ins, our tribals protests by moving into the hills with their weapons, which is construed as revolt and the army is called to crush them, thus blocking all chances of dialogue and reconciliation. That is the impasse we are now facing. As if this was not enough, we also have developed the habit of putting a ban on dissident elements, which now number over a dozen, thus denying ourselves all chances of dialogue and negotiations with them. The banned elements now are roaming all over the country, tormenting our souls. The chaotic situation thus offers an ideal ground to our enemies to create myriad security problems. So, here is one Ex COAS who did not agree with Raheel's Zarb-e- Azb policy ! Is it something to do with his Shia persuasion ?
Our present system of governance minus the ideology would collapse under pressure. Allah has given us the option to choose a system of governance, so long as its foundation was based on the principles of Quran and Sunnah. Following this dictate, the 1973 Constitution of Pakistan defines the National Purpose:“Pakistan will be governed by a democratic order, based on the principles of Quran and Sunnah.”
So, Beg is one of those,( like the late Hamid Gul) , which say that "Pakistan is not green enough"
But unfortunately democracy has been preferred over the principles of Quran and Sunnah. No government in the past or the present one, nor the conglomeration of over two dozen religious parties, ever made any serious attempt to fortify our ideological identity. We have failed to give our children their Muslim identity, because our education system is devoid of teachings of the principles of Quran and Sunnah. The National Action Plan gives the impression as if religion is the root cause of terror in Pakistan. But how can Beg be truly Islamic, if he does not "sport a beard yet" ; also have not seen him yet in "truly Islamic ( ie Saudi or Iranian ) garb !
The liberals and the seculars want to separate religion from the matters of the state, on the ground that “our human existence is not to be a God-centered human order, but the modernity preferred order, that favours individual autonomy and a marginalised God. Not God first but We First.” Bangladesh is a living example, but Pakistan is different. God forbid, if that situation is reached, Pakistan may turn into a “regional cock-pit.” Such was the situation in Indonesia in 1965-66, when Socialism/Communism was being preached, which caused violent reaction, resulting into a civil war, with more than a million and a half dead, till Suharto took control. God forbid, if we fail to check the drift, the result would be disastrous, because Pakistan is not an island. In our neighbourhood, are the revolutionary Iran and Afghanistan, who would join the foray and the marginalised religious parties would find a job, to create hell out of the chaotic situation. Not sure what he is trying to drive here ; is he predicting an "Islamic bloodbath" here, like what happened in Indonesia more than 50 years ago .
The parliament has to pass the law that the teachings of the principles of Quran and Sunnah, be made compulsory for all Muslim students from Class III to VIII in all English and Urdu Medium Schools. This is the only way to create balance between the two elements of our National Purpose – Democracy as the system of governance and the principles of Quran and Sunnah as the ideological bedrock of the system. But unfortunately the high and the mighty, such as the Presidents, Prime Ministers, Chief Justices, Governors and Ministers who take oath to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan” have failed to safeguard the sanctity of the National Purpose, as defined in the Constitution. They all have the responsibility and so have the people of Pakistan to correct the dangerous drift and the disconnect. So, he is one of those, who claim that Pakistan is not Islamic enough !
Next door in Iran, they follow the system of governance, called Wilayat-e-Faqih, based on the principles of Quran and Sunnah, which gave them the strength to fight the machinations of sanctions, embargos and invasion by Iraq, Iran emerged triumphant, riding the high tide of the Islamic Revolution. Similarly the Afghans, upholding the system of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, have defeated the mightiest of the mighty during the last three decades and stand firm in their resolve to reject the agenda of the occupation forces, because it contrasts with their value system, traditions and ideology. It was the ideology that prevailed. That also is the verdict of history for Pakistan. The religious groups are the marginalised lot, having no political space, or policy decision-making related to governance. They themselves are the terrorised people. The Mullah Brigade of Pakistan should welcome this ideological warrior with open - arms

Full marks to Pakis for having acquired 2 enemies requiring two separate allies.

The US does not want Pakistan to slip out of its grasp into China's hands and seeks "cooperation" with Al Qaeda and Taliban. Chin's help is needed against India.

India's job has been to make Pakistan fail despite these formidable alliances.

Pakistan’s former army chief General (retd) Raheel Sharif will travel to Switzerland to attend the World Economic Forum, Geo News reported on Friday.According to the TV, the retired Pakistani general, who has the vast counter-insurgency experience, will address a couple meetings on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum, discussing security issues. An English daily reported the meetings would take place in Davos in November, where Raheel Sharif would highlight Pakistan Army’s counter insurgency operations and improved securityty environment in the country besides discussing developing opportunities under China Pakistan Economic Corridor Project (CPEC)..
I hope the citizens of Baluchistan who are up in arms against CPEC invasion of their territory will manage to demonstrate against Riyal Sharif for his hyman rights abuse and also throw a shoe or ink at him.

Paki "Deep State " Flexes It's Muscles Against Social Media

With impunity
By Afrasiab Khattak - retired Senator
Enforced disappearances have remained a serious problem in terms of violation of human rights in Pakistan for a long time. But the scale and magnitude that this problem has acquired over the last one decade is frightening. The fourth military operation that started in Balochistan against Baloch nationalists in 2005 saw a growing number of Baloch political activists getting disappeared. Unfortunately, the parliament, political parties and the media didn’t focus on the Baloch disappeared persons. That’s why the problem has not only persisted but has acquired more serious dimensions. The so called war on terror after 9/11 had its own share in intensifying the problem of enforced disappearances in Pakistan. At that stage, Pakistan was seen as the epicentre of international terrorism due to the presence of top leaders of the most dangerous international terror outfits here. But since the country lived in denial of the existence of extremism/terrorism for quite some time under General Musharraf, she could not develop an effective system of anti-terror laws and procedures to prosecute terrorists. The security agencies, meanwhile, started dealing with the problem in extra-judicial ways. The problem came to national and international limelight when the Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry took up the cases of missing persons. The apex court did provide some relief to a few individuals, but it could not resolve the problem as such. Ultimately a special commission under a retired judge of the Supreme Court was created to address the issue of missing persons, but not much progress has been made as the relevant authorities have failed to cooperate with the judicial commission. Deep State "does not listen" to anyone !
About ten days ago, a new chapter in the history of enforced disappearances in Pakistan started, when some bloggers and social media activists started disappearing from Islamabad and different places in the Punjab. So far, there is confirmation of five missing persons who were active on social media. There have been widespread protests against these abductions in the Parliament and outside it by civil society activists. So far, there is no authentic/formal information about the missing bloggers. But social media accounts supposedly run by the proxies of intelligence agencies have launched a vicious campaign against some of these bloggers for allegedly posting blasphemous material on their accounts. They are even recklessly hurling similar accusations towards political leaders, parliamentarians and civil society activists who are protesting against enforced disappearances. Knowing that levelling of such accusations is invitation to extremist violence, these elements are indulging in this practice with complete impunity. Is this a fascist tactic to silence the opposition? The other important question is that if any one of these bloggers have committed any offence, why are they not being properly arrested and produced in the court of law? Obviously no one will have any problem with that. But kidnapping and unjustified confinement is illegal and it can’t be justified under any pretext. In this day and age of globalization, social activism and social media it will be difficult to re-impose censorship or pretend that "Deep State" has nothing to do with these disappearances !
The abduction of social media activists is a serious issue in itself because when those who are supposed to provide security allegedly start abductions, what recourse will be left for ordinary citizens? But it is definitely not as simple as that. These abductions are connected with the larger questions of freedom of expression on social media and state policy about extremism and terrorism. As we know, print and electronic media have already been brought “under control” of the deep state through various modes of pressure. Self-censorship has become a feature of our mainstream journalism. Now is the turn of social media, although, a quite stringent or even draconian law was passed by the Parliament some time ago for curbing cybercrime. Many had expected action against hate speech on social media or legal action against the accounts of the proscribed organisations suspected of involvement in terrorism. But so far, no such action is visible. On the contrary, accounts known for their vehement opposition to extremism, sectarianism and terrorism have been targeted. As mentioned earlier, if there is anything objectionable or any material that violates the law of the land in these accounts, the law must take its course. But impunity for the proscribed organisations creates serious questions about the role of state institutions. It’s particularly so when the honourable Interior Minister justifies his interaction with banned organisations on shaky ground, not strong enough to stand logic. The so-called "Good Taliban , Bad Taliban" argument, which no on is buying nowadays
But it is common knowledge that in practice, intelligence agencies do arrest people on regular basis and go into denial when asked by the courts. This is a ridiculous situation that can’t go on indefinitely. We have to have an honest debate about it. The Parliament in consultation with all stakeholders and the civil society must come out with a workable solution for the problem. This shouldn’t be taken by any side as a zero sum game. It is after all, a joint effort for creating a democratic and civilised state and society in Pakistan. This is presuming that a democratic process exists in Pakistan ; real power in Pakistan lies in the hands of the Pak fauj and Deep State !
To overcome this crisis, we need a human rights charter jointly prepared by all political parties and the civil society so that there is no immunity for violators. We also need a commission of truth and reconciliation so that the matter could be brought to a closure. The retired senator can shout from the roof top, as much as he wants , but it will take a "lot" to change things in Pakiland !

Pakistani journalist murdered in Baluchistan- Committee To Protect Journalists
X posted to Baluchistan Thread

New York, January 13, 2017--Pakistani authorities should credibly investigate yesterday's fatal shooting of a journalist in Baluchistan province and bring those responsible to swift justice, the Committee to Protect Journalists said today. Two unidentified men on a motorcycle fatally shot Muhammad Jan, a reporter for the Urdu-language daily newspaper Qudrat in the Qalat district in Pakistan's southwestern Baluchistan province, and fled the scene, according to news reports. Jan, 37, was also press secretary at the press freedom group the Pakistan Media Council and a teacher at a secondary school in Qalat. Baluchistan has long been the site of conflict between the state and separatist and other militant groups.
No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack. Media reports said that police had opened an investigation into the murder, but had not yet named any suspects. A police officer told Agence France-Presse that Jan had not told police about any threats he might have received, or about any personal disputes."Baluchistan, mired in a protracted conflict, is a particularly dangerous place for journalists," said Steve Butler, CPJ's Asia program coordinator. "We call on the Pakistani government to conduct a thorough investigation of Muhammad Jan's murder, and to consider his journalism as a possible motive. Pakistan must show that journalists cannot be murdered with impunity."Impunity in the attacks and murders of journalists in Pakistan runs high. With insufficient or no official investigation into the crimes, it is often hard to determine the motives for the attacks. Pakistan ranked eighth on CPJ's 2016 Impunity Index, which highlights countries where journalists are murdered and their killers go free. The Pakistan Press Foundation, an advocacy group, has reported that entrenched impunity has forced Pakistani journalists into self-censorship or leaving the profession altogether.

Senior militant's surrender boosts Pakistan-China deal

Source: Anadolu Agency (Turkey)
KARACHI, Pakistan
A senior figure in the separatist movement in Pakistan’s Balochistan region has surrendered, local media said Tuesday.
Balakh Sher Badini -- said to be a top commander in the outlawed Balochistan Liberation Army, the largest separatist group in the mineral-rich southwestern province -- handed himself in to security officials in the state capital Quetta on Monday.“I am a proud Pakistani and a brave Baloch,” he told reporters. “I was deceived by foreign-sponsored elements to carry out terrorist activities in Balochistan.” staged surrender ?
akistan has accused India of sponsoring the unrest in the province.More than 800 alleged Baloch separatists have laid down their arms in the last year, according to official statistics. Official statistics are "manufactured" in Sialkot; someone independent, ( who is outside of the Ummah world ) needs to audit these "tall" claims ; BTW foreign journos are banned from Balochistan !
n the past, Chinese workers have been attacked, killed and kidnapped in western Pakistan, including around Gwadar, by Baloch separatists and Taliban militants.“Of course, this will not just be good for the CPEC but a turning point in the context of the overall security situation in Balochistan,” Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Balochistan’s home minister, told Anadolu Agency.
Pakistan is pursuing a policy of incorporating surrendering militants back into society by providing them security and jobs.
“This is no walk in the park,” Bugti said. “Rehabilitation of these militants is a complicated and tough job.”He added: “But, as I said, we are committed to clearing Balochistan of terrorism and will leave no stone unturned to bring our misguided youths back to normalcy.”
Turkish reporter allowed to do a field tour of Balochistan on his own or just fed propagandu at the Karachi Press Club ?

Hoodbhoy Deplores "Deep State" Muzzling Tactics

Abducting social activists
HAD last week’s kidnappings of bloggers and social media activists happened in Balochistan, it would have been a non-event. But all five abductions happened in Punjab — and now the authorities are feeling some heat.
Although intelligence agencies are empowered to act where national security is jeopardised, no one has alleged that the abducted activists are dangerous people. Nevertheless, there is a strong feeling that elements within Pakistan’s deep state felt sufficiently outraged to take the law into their own hands and order the disappearances.
The army, police, and Pakistan’s security agencies have paid a terrible price in lives and material at the hands of religious fanatics. Extremist organisations and individuals have declared bloody war upon the state. Against the culture of intolerance, corruption, and militancy that is ruining Pakistan, only a few brave souls have dared to speak out. It is insane to crack down on them. Pressure by foreign agencies, governments may work in these cases !

Bloggers, Social Activists and NOW, Malaulanas Start Disappearing In Pakiland

Maulana Wasim goes missing !
ISLAMABAD: Maulana Zahid Wasim has gone missing from the office of Aalmi Majlis Tahafuz-e-Khatam-e-Nabuwat. ( big name amazing (Islami) results! ) The organisation’s secretary general has reported to the Aabpara police ( where ISI is housed !) that Maulana Wasim went out of his office on a motorcycle but did not return and his cell is also off. He demanded that the government and law enforcers act to recover the Maulana who has no dispute with anyone and “who is a soldier” ( the correct word is "mujahideen" :D )of his organisation.
What is going on these days in Pakistan; when maulaunas start disappearing? Is this Deep State's doing ? maybe, it is a "publicity stunt" by the "soldier" to draw attention to this new entrant in the long Islamic field ; surely the "Deep State" is not going after the Islamic Brigade ! Sind Govt Revises TextBook Glorifying Dictatorship Over Democracy
KARACHI: The Sindh government has revised a controversial phrase about democracy and dictatorship in a text book for matric students, after Geo News pointed to it in one of its talk shows."Dictatorship is better than democracy," was written in a book for matriculation students by the Sindh Textbook Board. Renowned anchorperson Hamid Mir, in October 2016, had pointed to it during Geo News' program 'Capital Talk'.Taking notice of it, the Sindh Education Department has revised the text, replacing it with: "Democracy is better than dictatorship."
The "renowned anchorperson" - known for self publicity - is incorrect over here ; in Pakistan, "Democracy is not better than dictatorship ; Islam is ! the Mullah Brigade should protest ! a second revision is needed.
Mir also urged Pakistan-Tehreek-e-Insaf-led government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to address the issue. After the targeted attack by the Deep State on his person, this "renowned anchorperson" has now become an ardent "supporter" of the Kaptaan and his Tehreek !

Pakis Start Massaging American Media Ahead Of The Incoming Trump Administration .

Revisit F-16 deal to strengthen Pak-US ties: Pakistan envoy to Trump administration
Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Jalil Abbas Jilani, has suggested that the incoming Donald Trump administration should seriously consider revisiting the sale of F-16 fighter jets in Pakistan and also resolve issues with regard to the Coalition Support Fund (CSF).( So they want the new administration to "reverse" the audit adjustments and pay the "fictitious" invoices that were submitted ; Trump has "vowed to drain the swamp" so that is unlikely to happpen)
“Cooperation between Pakistan and the US in the fight against terrorism will be further strengthened by revisiting the sale of F-16s and CSF issues,” Jilani told American print and electronic media correspondents at a reception for them at the Pakistan Embassy in Washington. He said Pakistan looks forward to closely working with the incoming administration of President-elect Donald Trump. In April last year, US lawmakers blocked a move by the Obama administration to subsidise Pakistan’s purchase of eight F-16 fighter jets after accusing Islamabad of ‘not doing enough’ to crack down on militants. The Express Tribune quoted Jilani, as saying Pakistan and the United States had a historic relationship which spanned over seven decades. He said the interests of both countries converged on several issues and that this would help strengthen their bilateral ties in the future.
Pakistan's special envoy , Fatemi, a few weeks ago,was unsuccessful in meeting any Trump officials in NYC. Now this "new method" is being tried by the Head Diplomat in D.C to convey a favourable impression!

China gives Pakistan two ships for security of CPEC sea route

NEW DELHI: China yesterday handed over two maritime patrol vessels to the Pakistan Navy for joint security along the sea route of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Dawn reported.

Yesterday, the Chinese vessels were received by the Commander of the Pakistan Navy Vice-Admiral Arifullah Hussaini. The ships are called PMSS Hingol and PMSS Basol after two rivers in the region.

"The ships have become part of the Pakistan Navy from today and the (Pakistan) navy would become stronger with the induction of these maritime vessels," Hussaini was quoted as saying by the Dawn. He added that the Pakistan-China friendship+ was becoming stronger and deeper than the ocean, day by day.

China is expected to provide two more ships "Dasht" and "Zhob" to the Pakistan navy. It is already working on them and they are expected to be completed soon.

Pakistan has already raised a new division of the army to ensure security along the CPEC route and in and around the Gwadar port+ . Security of Gwadar city has been handed over to the army's new division created during the tenure of former chief of army staff retired Gen Raheel Sharif.

The CPEC is an economic corridor comprising a collection of projects currently under construction at a cost of $54 billion. CPEC aims to facilitate trade along an overland route that connects Kashgar and Gwadar, through the construction of a network of highways, railways, optical fibre and pipelines.

"The economic corridor will be a game-changer for Pakistan and China, and the entire region would benefit from it," the Pak navy official said. "The CPEC will open new vistas of speedy development in Balochistan and create thousands of jobs for the local youth," he said.

In 2014, China took over management of Pakistan's Gwadar port, en route to key Hormuz Straits oil shipping lanes. The move had raised concerns in India about its fellow Asian giant's
