A migrant born in Saudi Arabia but claiming to have come from Pakistan, is accused of having murdered a 70-year-old pensioner in her home because she was an “infidel.”
Police say that the 27-year old asylum seeker wrote religious themed writing in Arabic on the walls of the murdered pensioners apartment located in the town of Bad Friedrichshall-Untergriesheim, which prosecutors say led them to believe there may be a religious motivation to the murder which took place on the 19th of May last year.
Sounds like the guy was born in Saudi to Pakistani parents who subsequently returned (deported??) to Pakistan. There is zero reason for the guy to seek asylum in Germany if he was a Saudi citizen, but lots of economic reasons to do so if he was a Pakistani. And many of these born-in-an-Arab-country-types show off this superiority complex to local abduls and refuse to acknowledge their roots (I knew of a few born-in-Gulf Indian muslims with the same attitude). This might explain the arabic writing on the wall (or could it be urdu??)

Wapda cancels Rs5.4bn contracts for Dasu project
Even before the formal launch of $4.5 billion Dasu hydropower project, the Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) has terminated two of its key contracts with a Chinese firm, citing ‘fundamental breaches’ of the agreement
ordered the contractor to vacate the project area immediately
CRFG project director Fan Lingang told Dawn: “The termination of the contract is un-contractual, illegal and fiercely unfair.”
“We are going to approach the local courts to allow us to approach an international court of arbitration to protect our rights because Wapda is not willing to resolve [the issue] amicably,” Mr Fan said, adding: “Arbitration is our right and we have to protect ourselves, not only financially but also our reputation and image.”
Wapda said, adding: “Termination will have no adverse impact on the CPEC framework or China-Pakistan relations.”

With the Indian soldier's return, a new chapter in relations with Pakistan can be opened
Mr Modi needs to show bold leadership at home and extend a hand of peace to Pakistan.
With an "almost pleading" tone , this editorial is hoping that this "cosmetic gesture", will result in India coming to the negotiating table :D

69 Pakistanis in Saudi detention on terror charges

JEDDAH: The number of Pakistanis under detention in Saudi jails on terror charges reached 69 with the arrest of a woman in Jeddah’s Al-Naseem district during a security operation on Saturday.

According to a report in Saudi newspaper Arab News, Fatima Ramadan Balochi Murad was arrested along with her Saudi husband from an apartment in Al-Naseem district by security agencies after a tip-off.

Last July, a Pakistani terrorist named Abdullah Qalzar Khan blew himself up near Solaiman Fakeih Hospital in Jeddah.

The security authorities arrested 49 Pakistani residents and put them under interrogation since the bombing in July.

A terrorism operation attempt was also foiled last October in Jeddah. It involved two Pakistanis — Solaiman Arab Deen and Farman Naqshaband Khan. They had planned to carry out blasts in Al-Jowhara Stadium.

A recent statement issued by the Interior Ministry through its Tawasul (communications) portal said that 5,085 terror suspects from 40 countries are in detention in five intelligence prisons in the Kingdom.

It is rather concerning that people with Hindu names are the ones doing the dirty work for Bakshits here. I did not expect that.

Hope the chief langoor is apprehended and strung up by his testimonials.

Nawaz Is Corrupt, But He Has An Image Of Being Less Corrupt Than Zardari !

Status quo
Every day, a new revelation. Or to hear the PTI tell it, every day a smoking gun.But the PML-N refuses to become a corpse.
Ganja Sharif, a shrewd "Dehati politician" ; wrapping Immy, the neophyte on his little finger :D
If anything, the party seems to be hitting its stride again. Nawaz confidently gabbing away with foreign leaders. The N-League’s media team aggressively swatting away the PTI’s attacks. And everywhere, a party laying down a — winning — story for 2018. The corrupt system will "re-elect him" again !
But you can sense that the PML-N has also figured out that the PTI is trapping itself inside its own politics once again.
But look at what the N-League has achieved. It has given its own base — the PML-N base — the tools to mount a political defence. Our leader went to the highest court in the land, he faced all his accusers, he faced unprecedented scrutiny — and nothing was proven.Even a slap on the wrist from the court won’t matter from here — politically, Nawaz didn’t need to prove he is clean; Nawaz just had to prove that he isn’t Asif Zardari-level dirty. With that done — with a sense that while he may not be one hundred per cent in compliance with the law, the Sharif empire is not fundamentally dirty — the N-League has been freed from being on the defensive at the next election.
. One has to feel sorry for Imran Khan; on the Federal level, he has to fight Ganja all over Pakiland ; on the provincial level in Pakjab, Ganja has his own brother, who is also creating problems for the Kaptaan

How does one apologize to a woman in bakistan? By giving her a shawl.

Nusrat Abbasi accepts minister's apology for lewd remarks
Nusrat Sahar Abbasi accepted Sindh Minister for Works and Services Imdad Pitafi's apology, after the latter draped a traditional shawl over the former's head
Nusrat accepted his apology and said that she had forgiven Pitafi only because of the sake of the shawl.
It is a tradition in Sindh
"I am also a woman like your mother Benazir Bhutto," she said. "I have been insulted and my family has been insulted. Bilawal Bhutto should guarantee that an incident like this should not be repeated in the future," she said.
How did the minister insult the motor-mama?
On Saturday, Imdad Pitafi and Nusrat Abbasi had exchanged harsh words during a session of the Sindh assembly when the latter had asked the former to read in English. Pitafi had replied to her in a sentence that had a dual meaning. He had also referred to Abbasi as a 'drama queen'.
Clutching a bottle of petrol in one hand, the PML-F leader and opposition member claimed that she would douse herself in petrol and burn herself if justice was not served in two days
Drama queen? Nooooo....!! She did what an average paki does.

Islamabad girds up for ‘tough talk’ with Kabul
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is preparing for ‘tough talk’ with Afghanistan in coming weeks when army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa will travel to Kabul at the invitation of President Ashraf Ghani.Although Gen Qamar has in principle accepted Ghani’s invitation, he is waiting for the ‘appropriate time’ to visit Afghanistan in a bid to mend fractured ties with the neighbouring country.A senior security official said the army chief would likely visit Kabul after President Donald Trump’s administration announces its policy on the Afghan situation. But whenever the army chief would travel to Kabul, he plans to deliver a ‘clear message’ to the Afghan leadership: “Stop blaming Pakistan for your own failings”.
Gen Qamar is also expected to inform the Afghan leadership in categorical terms that Pakistan is not patronising any group or providing them sanctuaries, according to the official familiar with the development. In fact, he would present ‘compelling evidence’ of how some elements within the Afghan government are supporting terrorist groups that are launching attacks in Pakistan. The official said the army chief, however, would renew Pakistan’s commitment to supporting efforts seeking a political end to chronic instability in Afghanistan. However, his efforts did not succeed as the Afghan president stuck to its earlier allegations and insisted his country now wanted ‘serious talks’ with Pakistan on the future of ties between the two countries.A Foreign Office official told The Express Tribune that Pakistan also wanted ‘serious discussions’ with Afghanistan.
At his news briefing last Thursday, Foreign Office spokesperson Nafees Zakaria said Pakistan, as the most sincere friend and well-wisher of the Afghan people, had contributed to the Afghan-owned and Afghan-led peace process, whenever requested.“Pakistan has the highest stakes in peace and stability in Afghanistan. No country gets affected more than Pakistan due to instability in Afghanistan. Pakistan’s commitment to peace and stability in Afghanistan is, therefore, beyond any doubt,” Zakaria said while rejecting the Afghan allegations. But before making the next move, Pakistan hopes the new US administration would take a more ‘realistic view’ of Afghanistan and form a policy accordingly. It is not clear yet how different Trump’s policy would be than that of his predecessor, but Pakistani policymakers feel the change in Washington would certainly offer Islamabad an opportunity to address some of the misconceptions.

BRUCE RIEDEL: HOW WILL TRUMP HANDLE A PAKISTAN SURPRISE?
By 2012, Obama and George Bush had given Pakistan $25 billion in military and economic aid since 9/11 to fight Al-Qaeda, but Obama was certain he couldn’t trust the Pakistani government. The raid will probably be one of Obama’s most enduring and best remembered legacies.Eight years ago, President Barack Obama inherited a policy toward Pakistan in tatters. America had backed a military dictatorship that protected the Taliban and attacked India until the Pakistani people overthrew the dictator Pervez Musharraf. Al-Qaeda was rampant across the country and Osama bin Laden was harbored in the front yard of the country’s military academy actively plotting against America.Just days after Obama’s election, Pakistani terrorists attacked the city of Mumbai and killed scores of Indians and a half dozen Americans. In March 2009, Obama set as his top priority to disrupt, dismantle and defeat the al Qaeda infrastructure in Pakistan which posed an imminent and significant threat to the United States and its allies. In 2011, bin Laden was tracked down by the agency and a Navy SEAL team delivered justice.Pakistan was not a partner in the war against al Qaeda for the most part and several terrorist groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), which are patronized by the Pakistani army, actively colluded with Al-Qaeda.Today, theAl-Qaeda infrastructure in Pakistan is much reduced but not destroyed. Bin Laden’s successor, Ayman al-Zawahri, is still in Pakistan and is still producing propaganda calling for attacks on Americans. Bin Laden’s son Hamza is also active in Pakistan and may be the next emir of al Qaeda. The threat is significantly reduced but must be constantly monitored.
Almost a decade after the assassination of Benazir Bhutto, whichAl-Qaeda claims credit for, a fragile and imperfect democracy is in place. For the first time in the 70 years of the country’s history, one freely elected government succeeded another.Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has embarked on a massive infrastructure development project with aid from China that will transform the country. He has distanced Pakistan from Saudi Arabia and sought to dampen Sunni-Shiite tensions at home and abroad.Washington is not responsible for the progress toward democracy in Pakistan, but unlike some past administrations, Obama has not obstructed it. Too often American presidents have been entranced by Pakistani generals. Obama understood they are the problem, not the solution. The generals have belatedly waged war against some terrorist groups that attack Pakistanis. It is a tough campaign and is far from over. At the same time, the army continues to protect and support groups like LeT, which just eight years ago, attacked Mumbai.Obama did bring to justice to the American who helped plot the Mumbai attack, David Headley, but the head of LeT, Hafeez Saed, is still the darling of the generals. He regularly appears on television and at rallies to denounce America, Israel and India. The army also provides sanctuary and safe haven to the Afghan Taliban. The Pakistanis assist with fund raising, training, and operations for the Taliban. Pakistan covered up the death of the Taliban’s founder and leader Mullah Mohammad Omar in Karachi for two years to strengthen its control on the group and has hand picked his successors.Economic and military aid to Pakistan has declined on Obama’s watch. Support for aid in Congress has declined significantly as the extent of Pakistani support for terrorist activity has become clear.
Congress no longer rubber stamps aid requests. Some on the Hill argue Pakistan should be listed on the State Department list of state sponsors of terrorism. President George H. W. Bush seriously considered that option in 1992; his three successors did not.Pakistan has the fastest growing nuclear arsenal in the world. This month, Pakistan successfully tested a submarine launched cruise missile (SLCM) for the first time. The Babur-3 SLCM has a range of 450 kilometers and provides Pakistan with a secure second strike capability. Pakistan is expanding its submarine fleet with Chinese assistance. The United States has no effective policy toward Pakistan’s nuclear program. The president never visited Pakistan in his tenure. His cabinet officials gradually cut back visits to the country. Attention to Pakistan seemed to fade in the last years of the administration. The incoming administration has to deal with a nation of almost 200 million people armed with a fully-tested nuclear arsenal which is both a victim and a patron of terrorism.Pakistan has been at the root of crisis for the last several administrations. Bill Clinton faced nuclear tests and a dangerous border war in 1999 with India; George W. Bush was surprised by 9/11 and another Indo-Pakistan crisis; and Obama dealt with Mumbai and Abbottabad. The next administration will likely be tested early.

Saudi Aviation authorities to block Pakistan airline over outstanding fees

The Saudi Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has threatened to stop all of the Pakistan International Airlines flight operations in the kingdom in a dispute over unpaid fees according to Pakistan Today news website. The Ministry of Finance has advised the authorities to draft a clear payment plan, also with a request to PIA authorities to pay Rs2.20 billion ($586.6 mln) to the Saudi CAA.Last Update: Monday, 23 January 2017 KSA 18:34 - GMT 15:34
Ganja Sharif used his clout with the Saudi Royals to make them offer a job to "Bad Sharif" ; according to "market gossip" Raheel did not agree to the terms and conditions, ( dent on his Echendee !) although he was more than happy with the financial side of the deal :D . What is stopping Nawaz to do a similar deal ( go easy on the National Carrier- concession/discount on the unpaid fees ) for PIA ; this way, he will surely be saving jobs !

This is probably the wrong thread but since AG Noorani seems to feature frequently in backpaki newspapers, and there no longer being a thread to discuss non-Indian residents I thought I'd post it here to ask a question.

Who is A Noorani really? apart from being a 'lawyer' in Mumbai'. Is he another Jawed Naqwi or vestigial Jinnah who wanted Pakistan but hoped to retire to Mumbai? Or another beast entirely? Who are his base?

Noorani 's old man had enmity with Jinnah but as per natural inherent Arabic gene nature, this little green snake in grass is Paki Kameen to the core and hoping for 72 by blowing the Deen Been as law machine. In his last column on K , he as literally crossed the line of treachery.

Noorani belongs to those class of elite traitors in India who thrive in India's obsessive cowardly "secular" environment. Another is Kancha Illiah. These are inveterate ticking time bombs (thuss pakatakis so far), but will strike at India's gut should an external enemy ever get the upper hand over India. This b@satrad's opinions are nothing short of treason, puking endlessly against India, against BJP, against RSS in TSP newspapers.

Not to be "left behind" under the concept of = = ,Paki watchers have long observed that any Govt of India initiatives are virtually copied in toto by the Paki Govt; be it anti corruption measures, economic reforms,( e.g. GST intro in Pakiland, possible demontization of Paki notes ) defense initiatives. etc etc. Indian crackdown on Foreign NGO's have aroused the "uptil now sleeping Think Tanks of Pakiland" to call for similar action

Perfect Strangers:The State and NGOs in Pakistan
Muhammad Ahsan Rana (ahsan.rana@lums.edu.pk) teaches at the Lahore University of Management Sciences, Lahore.

Pakistan has a very large non-profit sector, which operates autonomously and without any meaningful oversight by government agencies. This article is a critique of the existing legal and institutional framework for regulating non-governmental organisations in Pakistan. In most cases, registration comprises the first and last contact between an NGO and the regulator. Government agencies emerge as disinterested regulators and the emphasis clearly is on form, rather than substance. There is also disagreement on what is legitimate for the regulator to demand and for NGOs to provide. - See more at: http://www.epw.in/journal/2017/3/specia ... 8NPRl.dpuf
The author in his "research" calls for action similar to what Indian legislators have introduced ; how shameless can one get !!!!

"Gentle Reminder To RAA" from Hilal_ISPR_Official - We Also Have These

Latest Cutting-Edge Spy Gadgets :
Written By: Amir Atta
The writer is a Data Network expert. He is the founder and CEO of ProPakistani.pk
Industry Level Gadgets
These are meant to spy on commercial rivals, enemy countries, or by intelligence agencies for monitoring. Being industry exclusive, these tools cannot be found in the market. Rather, these might not even be available for years to come, all due to obvious reasons.
CELLULAR SURVEILLANCE DEVICES :Among the recently leaked information published by “The Intercept”, there were details about a Cobham (British manufacturing company) project. This project includes development of tools for wide scale public monitoring and espionage. One of the most notable devices is a cellular surveillance device. It is an interception device with the ability to pose as four base stations simultaneously. This means it can pretend to be four different mobile operators or four base stations from the same operator.
SPY ROCK
spyrock.jpgIf you thought the stone age was gone, you might be “slightly” wrong. It seems rocks are the next big thing in military espionage. And the armies won’t be throwing them at each other, instead, these will be used to snoop on the enemy.
Association of United State Army (AUSA) meeting held the secret announcement of a new surveillance technology called SPAN (Self-Powered Ad-hoc Network). It is so small and covert that this wireless sensor network can be used inside rocks. It is being said that the technology can provide maximum coverage at small costs. Initial reports say that the sensors can remain in the battlefield for years as they won’t need any maintenance. These rocks will be powered by solar technology. This technology might be sold to countries around the world (an easy way to spy maybe) since the final technology is almost ready to go. All they need is a war to try it out.
Hybrid Insects
hybridinsect.jpgHybrid Insects may seem like a cross bred species of insects, but is actually a project of Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), a part of the U.S. Department of Defence. The idea is to be able to create machine-like insects, not simply miniscule robots, but actual living organisms indistinguishable from other insects that can be remotely controlled. This is done by placing micro-mechanical systems inside the target insect during infancy (metamorphosis stage), turning them into a cyborg-like creature.

Raheel Sharif allotted 868-kanal land worth Rs1.35 bn in Lahore

The land along Bedian Road is about 90 acres of which he got 50 acres as a 4-star general and 40 acres as COAS through Border Area Committee

LAHORE: Former chief of army staff General Raheel Sharif has been allotted 868 kanals and 10 marlas of land (about 90 acres) on Bedian Road Lahore, and not just 482 kanals, through the Border Area Committee, reliable sources have disclosed.

The total value of the allotted land is estimated at around Rs1.35 billion. Sources said that Raheel Sharif has been allotted 50 acres of land under his prerogative as a four-star general, and another 40 acres as the chief of army staff. The land is situated in Mauza Rukh Bathant, located along western side of BRB Canal, adjacent to Mauza Heear.

According to the Fard Malkiat (Record of Rights), the Cantt Revenue authorities received the Mutation (Intiqal) orders from the Border Area Committee vide letter No 17408 on Dec 24, 2014 for allotment of the said lands. After entry of the mutation order, the Cantt establishment officer allowed allotment of the lands on Dec 29, 2014. Under Part (copy of government record) No 140805, Serial No 4, Khata (Holding of a Tenant) No 5/15, 43/15, and 108/15, three hundred and eighty-six (386) kanals of land was allotted. Also, under Part No 140811, Serial No 5, Khata No 15/15, 3/151 and 369/15, four hundred and eighty-two kanals and ten marlas of land was allotted. Collectively, this land measures about 90 acres of land, which has been allotted to ex-COAS General Raheel Sharif.

The process of allotment of agricultural lands, commercial plots, DHA lands and distribution of other facilities among the army officers and officials is carried out directly by the General Headquarters (GHQ) through an adjutant general, whose rank is equal to a lieutenant general. Also, a major-general ranked officer heads the Welfare Directorate at the GHQ, who acts as the director-general (DG) of the Welfare Directorate. He conveys the GHQ orders to the respective chairmen of the Border Area Committees in this regard, and ensures implementation of the orders.

All the Border Area Committees across the country have the record of all lands situated along the borders in different villages (Mauza Jaat). All decisions that how much lands would be allotted to an army officer or official are made at the GHQ, which are directly conveyed to the respective chairmen of the Border Area Committees, after approval from the Welfare Directorate.

There are different border area committees comprising various zones in the border areas. Headed by a brigadier or colonel, the committee has an assistant commissioner as its civil member. A revenue officer (tehsildar) and his staff assist the committee.

The land allotment to Gen Raheel has been executed by the Border Area Committee Lahore. Its chairman, Colonel Tabish Sajid, refused to comment when contacted for information about the land allotment policy. Civil member of the committee, Sardar Farrukh Tufail, also did not say anything.

Commenting on the land allotment policy, a senior official of the Board of Revenue said, requesting anonymity, that the provincial board of revenue does not have any authority in this regard. The revenue board allots land on the records of the provincial government to the military officials on a directive received from the GHQ in the light of a letter issued by the chairman of the border area committee concerned.

It is worth mentioning here that the lands situated along borders are part of the provincial land records, but the establishment officers have no authority over the lands situated up to five kilometers along the border. The revenue officer said that the district collector is conveyed the land allotment orders through the Board of Revenue. Then the establishment officer concerned, acting as the collector, approves the allotment of lands. The establishment officer is legally bound to implement the orders of Border Area Committee chairman, and thus he confirms the completion of the allotment process.

An estate agent working in the area said that the price of one acre land along Bedian Road in the said village was estimated at Rs10 million to Rs10.5 million.

Another agent, Haji Zahid bin Sadiq, said that the price of lands in border areas depended on location of the lands. He said people demand Rs6-7 million for one acre of land near BRB Canal. However, Imran Ahmad, another estate agent, said the price of one acre land ranges between Rs9 to 10 million.

A property dealer told The News that after development the worth of this land would be about Rs2.5 billion. Another property dealer, however, said the worth of the land after development would be over Rs4 billion.

It is clear that Noorani’s commitment to Sharia is absolute.
Over the past few centuries, civilisation has witnessed a worldwide movement to separate religion from the state and law, giving birth to secularism. In India, one man is trying to reverse this process. His name is AG Noorani. The main allegation against Noorani is that he is a constitutional expert, which is completely untrue because in his writings he does not defend the constitutional rights of Indians. The accusation is also that Noorani is a Muslim intellectual, which too is baseless because in none of his articles he defends the constitutional rights for Muslim women.
I have read his about 6,750-word article in Frontline magazine of January 6, and his earlier write-ups on triple talaq and the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), a code of rights to be secured for all citizens as directed by Article 44 of the constitution. Noorani rues that British judges discarded “centuries-old sharia” at a time India was “fortunate” to have judges like Syed Ameer Ali and Syed Mahmood, who were “erudite scholars in jurisprudence, steeped in Islamic theology.” He lauds Justice Mahmood for saying that courts “are bound to apply and decide cases according to personal laws.”
Noorani is a one-man Deoband madrassa, seeking a role for Islam in the Indian state in modern times. In his articles on Muslim women’s issues, Noorani, the so-called constitutional expert, emerges as intellectually dishonest for the following reasons.
One, his write-ups are totally silent on Article 14, which states: “The State shall not deny to any person equality before the law or the equal protection of the laws….” Article 14 is the key to the struggle against instant triple talaq.
Two, Noorani doesn’t stand for gender equality and avoids mentioning Article 15, which bars discrimination based on “religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth.”
Three, his articles don’t mention Article 21, which guarantees right to live with human dignity. Article 21 states: “No person shall be deprived of his life or personal liberty….” It presumes human dignity, such as that of Shayara Bano of Uttarakhand, who has urged the Supreme Court to secure her fundamental right to equality on triple talaq.
Four, the only constitutional provision Noorani mentions is Article 44 on the UCC, but when he does so his sole purpose is to undermine it. This is Noorani’s unadulterated intellectual deceit that Indian editors love to publish. When he talks about Article 44, he accuses Modi government of “lust” for uniformity, intentionally reducing the UCC’s quest for rights to a debate between uniformity and diversity.
India has walked far since 1950 when it adopted a constitution. Since then, the attitudes and aspirations of Indians were shaped by ideals of equality and liberty seeded by the constitution. Indians, especially 70 percent of them below 35 years of age, look up to the constitution to define the way forward for the nation. People regard courts, trust in constitutional rights, and consider the constitution as the arbiter of their daily life. More than before, India’s discourse has become constitutional. Noorani is on a mission to distort, damage and divert this constitutional discourse.
Noorani does so in the following ways: one, by digging up arguments from pre-constitution era such as from the Privy Council, which no longer governs India; two, by citing Sharia laws as discussed by British-era Muslim judges; three, by citing post-Independence Hindu judges who quoted the Quran, not the constitution, in their judgements; four, by defending religious laws even when they harm women’s rights; and five, by not speaking about Articles 14, 15 and 21. Unlike Indians, Noorani does not believe in the Indian constitution. My argument is this: laws that violate women’s rights cannot be defended in modern times.
Mughal emperor Akbar was intellectually liberating as he introduced, perhaps for the first time, religious neutrality in the state policy. But Noorani is a hidden Islamist, the unarmed version of a jihadi, out to introduce Sharia laws in the Indian republic’s way of life. He loves to quote the Quran, but shuns the constitutional articles that are of revolutionary significance to women’s empowerment. Noorani praises Ameer Ali for quoting the Quran and Justice Mahmood for criticising British judges who didn’t cite “original Arabic” Islamic texts.
Mahmood was the son of Sir Syed who established the Aligarh Muslim University from where the Pakistan Movement originated, dividing India in 1947. Noorani’s article begins with a quote, of all people, of MA Jinnah; one is left wondering, if Noorani is among those Muslims who feel left out for not having gone to Pakistan. He cites the Quran, Islamic literature and even Jamaat-e-Islami founder Maulana Maududi in order to convert the nation’s constitutional discourse into a Quranic discourse. Noorani’s commitment to Sharia is absolute.

Trump asks CIA to be ready for wars against ‘Islamic terrorism’

WASHINGTON: On his first full working day as US president, Donald Trump reiterated his pledge to eradicate “Islamic terrorism” from the face of the planet and alerted the American intelligence agencies to be ready for wars.

“Radical Islamic terrorism. And I said it yesterday — it has to be eradicated just off the face of the Earth. This is evil. This is evil,” Mr Trump told officers of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) when he visited its headquarters at Langley, Virginia, on Saturday.

In his inaugural speech on Friday, the new US president vowed to “unite the civilised world against radical Islamic terrorism” and pledged to “eradicate (it) completely from the face of the Earth”.

During the long campaign for the 2016 presidential election, Mr Trump often criticised Barack Obama for not using the terms “radical Islamic terrorism” and said that unless the enemy was openly identified, it could not be defeated.

In his speech at the CIA headquarters, the new president went a step ahead and warned his intelligence officials, and the American nation, that the war against the radical form of Islam was far from over.

Mr Trump said that when he was young, he heard from one of his instructors that “the United States has never lost a war”. But now, “it’s like we haven’t won anything. We don’t win anymore.”

Referring to America’s longest foreign war, in Afghanistan, Mr Trump said it had continued for so long because the United States did not use its full might. “We have not used the real abilities that we have. We’ve been restrained,” he said while promising CIA officials more powers than they have ever had to combat the country’s enemies.

“We have to get rid of ISIS [Islamic State militant group]. Have to get rid of ISIS. We have no choice,” he declared, earning a warm applause from the audience.

Meanwhile,

China lauds Pakistan's efforts in combating terrorism. Why?
...acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan's efforts in combating terrorism and ensuring security of Chinese people at the same time.
The National Security Advisor said: "China and Pakistan were remarkable countries and they cherished their long lasting friendship"
Now, note the shift in the narrative:
"China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would certainly be a milestone in further strengthening the bilateral relations between them. "This mega project has the potential to stream line infrastructure along the length of Pakistan and would usher a new era of economic prosperity for the whole region."
Hmmm...its no longer prosperity for bakistan. With the new infrastructure it is now prosperity for the whole region.

Nice way of skipping the land of the Pure. just go to the land of the dejjert

http://www.espncricinfo.com/pakistan-su ... 79397.html

Moeen Ali has opted out of participating in the second season of the Pakistan Super League and will instead join members of his family on a pilgrimage to Mecca.

Moeen, who is currently in India with England's limited-overs squad, was named yesterday as a replacement for Carlos Brathwaite in the Quetta Gladiators squad. He had been negotiating through his agent as to his exact availability when the clash of priorities became apparent.

Quetta were quickly informed of his change of plans, and Moeen has now been replaced by the veteran Australian, Brad Hodge, who represented Peshawar Zalmi in last season's inaugural tournament.

"Moeen Ali is a top player and a great person," read a tweet from the franchise. "We respect his decision to honour his family commitment first. Good Luck Moeen."

It is not the first time that Moeen has performed a swift U-turn when it comes to T20 league availability. Last year, he put himself forward for the IPL auction(doing and ==), only to withdraw hours later after the ECB expressed concerns about his workload.

As England's premier spin-bowling allrounder, Moeen played 41 matches for England across all three formats in 2016, including all 17 of their Test matches. He faces an even more intense workload in 2017, with England hosting the Champions Trophy in June, as well as multi-format series against South Africa and West Indies ahead of the Ashes tour in October.

Moeen, a devout Muslim, first performed umrah in November 2009, and credited the "inspirational' experience for a flying start to his county season with Worcestershire the following year.

"I think I came back nice and fresh after that," he said at the time. "It makes a person strong and it was a chance to just get away from cricket."

The second season of the PSL gets underway in the UAE on Feb 9, with the final scheduled to take place in Lahore on March 7.

Crackdown On Social Media Continues In Pakiland

PTV slaps ban on anchors for ‘defaming organisation’
The Express Tribune > Pakistan
ISLAMABAD:
The scandal about alleged harassment in the state-run Pakistan Television (PTV) has taken a new turn as the PTV management has slapped a ban on two of its female anchors for taking to social media and appearing in talk shows to ‘defame the organisation’ In this day and age of globalization and instant communication, it is futile to "police" people's true feeling :D
Prior to taking the issue to media, the female anchors — Tanzeela Mazhar and Yashfeen Jamal — had complained to the PTV management against an employee Agha Masood Shorish for the alleged sexual advances and harassment. Maryam Sharif, the so-called guardian of Paki fair sex should take "due notice"
On January 20, the PTV management issued circular stating that ‘certain’ PTV employees were using social media to comment on matters that were currently being inquired into officially.“Such comments must be removed or deleted within 24 hours of issuance of the circular, failing which strict disciplinary action will be taken,” the circular read.
On Friday, the PPP also submitted a calling attention notice with the National Assembly Secretariat urging the Federal Minister for Human Rights to take action against incidents of sexual harassment at state-run television. Female MNA's should pressure Paki Govt to take action !

Pakistani Policeman In Thailand For " Training" To Be Deported

Thailand deports three K-P prosecution department officers on sexual assault charges
The Express Tribune > Pakistan > KP & FATA
PESHAWAR:
Three officers from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa were deported from Thailand after being charged with alleged sexual assault. As many as 25 newly inducted officers of K-P Public Prosecution department were sent to Bangkok on a training funded by US, a senior official said. Copy of this report being E mailed to POTUS Trump ; US Taxpayers' dollars at work
The three officers were asked to leave the hotel after a maid and other females alleged that they were sexually assaulted by the officials in a swimming pool. They were handed over to the local police in Bangkok and were later deported to Pakistan. What they cannot get at home ( or in Dubai !) ; Bangkok has a reputation ( among Pakis ) for "easy game " and the bonus is the women are "kaffir"
Two officials of the K-P prosecution department confirmed the development but wished not to be named. They said that the three officers were deported two days earlier from their scheduled arrival.“The other members of the batch reached Saturday night but the three were deported two days earlier before their scheduled arrival,” said the official, adding that these officers’ posting orders were issued on January 10, and they were sent on the training course on management of case and their duties as public prosecutors. Immy ( Head of KP) informed of this "breach of trust and duties" by his staff - to put it mildly!
An official inquiry has been initiated against the officials.“They have not only disgraced the province but brought a bad name to the entire country” an official responsible for the oversight of the inquiry said, adding that the actions of such officials could have sabotaged the entire training programme.
Pertinent to note that these were not Aam Abduls, but officers of the Prosecution Dept!!! Someone should have mentioned their marital status - married with children !

Nawaz Sharif "Blacklisted" At Davos ?

Why PM Nawaz Sharif was not allowed to make speech in Davos WEF forum?
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif spent millions of rupees on his luxuriant visit during the visit but failed to address any important forum because he was not allowed by the management of Davos Economic Forum to address any function. The main reason for not allowing the prime minister to deliver a speech on any forum was said to be the alleged involvement of the prime minister in massive corruption in Pakistan. :D
He could only hold a meeting with the Sri Lankan prime minister and no bilateral meeting with the head of any other country took place. The entire nation was desperately frustrated over the country being made a laughing stock :rotfl: by the prime minister during his visit.
In contrast, the former army chief Gen (r) Raheel Sharif was held in great reverence in the conference and he addressed several forums and participated in many debates.( But has he not, as his predecessors made millions in kickbacks and commissions in arms purchases . And what about the Rs. 2 Billion plus worth of prime farm land that was just "alloted" to him; if this does not fall as corruption, what does ; Paki newspaper need to remove the halo around this so-called National Hero )
The meeting of the World Economic Forum is held every year in Davos in the month of January and world leaders are invited to address it.
Nawaz Sharif had gone to attend the Davos Forum without any invitation from its sponsors and spent millions of rupees on his visit out of the national kitty. But he had to face disappointment when he was not allowed to address the forum. The prime minister stayed in five-star hotels in Switzerland at the cost of the nations’ taxpayers. This is all " PTI propaganda" ; as a PM of Pakistan, Ganja Sharif has the "right" to attend Davos and other international conferences!. Case closed period.
Official sources said he spent over four days there just talking to Pakistani journalists before leaving for London in sheer despair. The PM had made special arrangements for his visit to Davos and he had a speech prepared. But he could not present his written speech in the forum. This is all " PTI propaganda" ; as a PM of Pakistan, Ganja Sharif has the "right" to attend Davos and other international conferences Case closed period .

India refuses to send Mumbai attack witnesses to Pakistan
MUMBAI: India has refused to send its 24 nationals to Pakistan to testify as witness in 2008 Mumbai attack case, diplomatic sources said Tuesday. The Mumbai attack case is pending for 10 months after the witnesses failed to appear before the court. Court moving towards Judicial Sending Indian citizens to Pakistan is a security risk, said the diplomatic sources, adding that New Delhi has advised Islamabad to send Judicial Commission to India for cross examination.
Enough of the Paki farce ! If, report is confirmed, it is a right move by the Govt of India; no sane person believes that Pakistan is going to punish the culprits !
