"Of the 12 facilities that were used for storage and production of chemical weapons, the OPCW experts (Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons - approx Tass.) Confirmed the destruction of 10 to the remaining two objects Syrian authorities do not have access, because they are on the territory controlled by the so-called opposition . For this reason, the OPCW can not confirm the destruction of chemical weapons at them, "- he said.

"Stocks of toxic chemicals were loaded onto an American ship" Cape Ray "and then disposed of in the US companies, the UK, Finland and Germany", - said Russian general.

At the same time, he noted that the international inspectors have carried out additional checks of a number of Syrian facilities that were not related to the production and storage of chemical weapons. "The facts of the production or the presence of toxic substances to them also have been identified," - he said.

As Rudskoy said militants are imported toxic substances in several areas of Syria in order to provoke new US strikes on Syria.

"According to our information, the militants are now imported in the areas of Khan Shaykhun, airfield Jira, Eastern Guta and west of the city of Aleppo toxic substances. The purpose of these actions is to create another reason for the Syrian government of allegations of use of chemical weapons and provoking new US attacks "- Rudskoy said.

"Be warned about the inadmissibility of such steps," - said the general.

Merkel has asked for it. The attempted attack on the Dort. soccer team is not coincidental to events in Syria. The message has gone out to the operatives of ISIS in Europe to up the ante to divert attention from their chem warfare tactics and let Assad make Assad the patsy.

"Knights of the Rotund Table": Episode 2/2017

The Town crier has been ringing his bell and bellowing "Oye,Oye,Oye!",bringing us latest news from the buffet field. Spearheading the charge towards the "Russian front".Sir Boris was stunned to find that his fellow Knights Rotund, except for the Connecticut Yankee in QE's court,Sir Tilly-of-no-willy,did mysteriously desert him by not stamping their seals to the scroll of fear , meant to make Czar Ras-Putin's ghoolies clink! Desirous of their uninterrupted supplies of caviar,Stoli, and belles from the Bolshoi, and the prospect of a removal of zillions of golden roubles from the counting houses of Europe by the Czar's oilgarchs ,has no doubt played an important part in their minds and their disloyal refusal to add their seals to the Scroll of fear.Sir Boris will now have to lead the raids on the caravans of Happy Is Assad all by himself.Well in truth he will be safely behind Sir Tilly, like Sancho Panza to Don Quixote, who'll have to watch out for the safety of his Willy as he leads from the front when he reaches the gates of Kremlin! Deserted by his fellow Knights Rotund ,Sir Boris now has to eat humble pie instead of Russian delights, more's the pity! How the mighty knight of the Rotund has fallen.

UK and US push for new Russia sanctions rejected by European allies at G7 meeting
Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson had spearheaded the drive for new sanctions at the G7 in Italy
Britain and America have failed to win immediate support from European allies for new sanctions on Russia following the chemical weapons attack in Syria.

Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson spearheaded the drive at the G7 for punitive measures against Moscow, but could not win the full-throated backing he wanted from Germany, Italy or the wider European Union.

Putin hardens Moscow's support of Syria regime before Tillerson visit
Russian president claims Assad’s opponents intend to carry out false-flag chemical attacks to justify more US strikes

Emma Graham-Harrison, Julian Borger in Washington and Spencer Ackerman in New York
Tuesday 11 April 2017
Vladimir Putin has deepened his support of the Syrian regime, claiming its opponents planned false-flag chemical weapon attacks to justify further US missile strikes.

The Russian president’s predictions on Tuesday of an escalation in the Syrian war involving more use of chemical weapons came as US officials provided further details of what they insist was a sarin attack by Bashar al-Assad’s forces against civilians on 4 April, and accused Moscow of a cover-up and possible complicity.

The hardening of the Kremlin’s position, and its denial of Assad’s responsibility, accelerated a tailspin in US-Russian relations, just as the US secretary of state, Rex Tillerson, arrived in Moscow for direct talks.

Analysis What's Trump's plan for Syria? Five different policies in two weeks
Until late last month, Donald Trump was fine with Bashar al-Assad remaining in power. Since then, his administration has struggled to articulate a clear plan

Tillerson had hoped to underscore the US position with a unified message from the G7, which condemned the chemical attack at a summit in Italy on Tuesday. However, G7 foreign ministers were divided over possible next steps and refused to back a British call for fresh sanctions.

Putin said western and Turkish accusations that Syria’s government dropped the nerve agent that killed dozens of civilians in Idlib earlier this month were comparable to the now-discredited claim that Saddam Hussein had stockpiled weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

“It reminds me of the events in 2003 when US envoys to the security council were demonstrating what they said were chemical weapons found in Iraq,” the president told reporters on Tuesday. “We have seen it all already.”

Putin said Russia had information that the US was planning to launch new missile strikes on Syria, and that there were plans to fake chemical attacks there.

He insisted that Assad was not behind the alleged sarin attack in Khan Sheikhun, saying Moscow had information “from different sources” that it was carried out by rebel groups intent on dragging the US into the conflict.

“We have information that a similar provocation is being prepared … in other parts of Syria, including in the southern Damascus suburbs where they are planning to again plant some substance and accuse the Syrian authorities of using [chemical weapons],” he said, without offering any proof for the assertion. Putin predicted such fake attacks would be used to justify further US missile strikes on the regime, like the attack on Shayrat air force base on Friday.

Senior White House officials said that Syrian military officers involved in the regime’s chemical weapons programme were at the Shayrat base ahead of and on the day of the Khan Sheikhun attack, which they claimed was carried out by a Syrian air force Su-22 warplane, dropping at least one munition containing sarin nerve agent.

One official said that there was “no consensus based on the information we have” of direct Russian complicity, but pointed out that the Russian and Syrian military had a long history of close cooperation and that Russian troops were at Shayrat base at the time of the attack.

In his remarks Putin said Russia would ask the UN to carry out an investigation into the attack, and accused unnamed western countries of supporting the US strikes in a bid to curry favour with Donald Trump.

Before leaving Italy for Moscow, Tillerson had said the government of Assad was “coming to an end”.

His trip to Russia was once billed as part of a reset in relations between the two nuclear powers, but is now entirely overshadowed by their growing differences over the Syrian civil war.

Those tensions looked likely to spread to other issues on the eve of Tillerson’s Kremlin meetings. As the secretary of state arrived in Russia, the Trump administration took unambiguous steps to embrace Nato, despite Trump’s derision of it as a candidate.

The White House scheduled a press conference for the Nato secretary general with Trump on Wednesday, when Tillerson will meet his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov. More substantively, Trump gave his formal approval to the Senate for Montenegro’s accession to the transatlantic alliance. It was the final American step in raising Montenegro to full membership despite Russia’s vocal opposition.

“It shows Nato remains an open door, and it’s a good time, with Tillerson going to Moscow, for reiterating that message”, said Sue Brown, a US ambassador to Montenegro during Barack Obama’s administration.

“There’s been a lot of speculation and talk about the linkage between the current administration and Russia, and this is an example of the president of the United States saying we’re going to do our own thing.”

The Trump administration, which is under formal investigation in the US over its ties to Moscow, has found itself embroiled in a tense diplomatic standoff.

During his election campaign, Trump emphasised that after taking power his only focus in Syria would be defeating Islamic State, repeatedly signalling that he had little interest in regime change. Last month his spokesman described Assad’s rule as “political reality”.

That policy was upended by the chemical attack on a rebel-held town in northern Syria, which killed nearly 90 people, about a third of them children. Images of the victims caused international outrage and apparently moved Trump to order missile strikes in retaliation.

The US has framed those attacks as a specific and contained response to the illegal use of chemical weapons, but it also increased its criticism of Assad and demands for his removal. Tillerson is among those calling for the Syrian president to step down.

Tillerson: Assad’s reign in Syria is coming to an end
*(famous last words yet again! Let's see how long Till-Willy will last!)
“It is clear to all of us that the reign of the Assad family is coming to an end,” Tillerson told journalists after the G7 summit. “But the question of how that ends and the transition itself could be very important in our view to the durability, the stability inside of a unified Syria.”

He said Russia had to choose whether to strengthen its alliance with Iran, the militant group Hezbollah and their client and ally Assad, or use its influence to limit civilian suffering.

Soon after, the Russian foreign ministry announced plans for a meeting between Syrian, Iranian and Russian ministers.

The British foreign secretary, Boris Johnson, had led the push for further sanctions on Syrian and Russian leaders. On Tuesday, he said sanctions could still follow the findings of an investigation by the independent Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.

“We hope that it may be possible, if we get evidence, that those responsible for unleashing those chemical weapons should be [subject to] sanctions,” he told the BBC, adding that there was widespread support for sanctions if the investigation confirmed Syrian or Russian responsibility.

‘Syria is not our problem’: Trump’s past comments on Assad regime
Germany and Italy have made clear they feel increasing broad economic restrictions on Russia would be counter-productive, and the Italian foreign minister, Angelino Alfano, said it would be wrong to isolate Russia or push it into a corner.

Instead the group should push for political change, after punitive US strikes offered “a window of opportunity to construct a new positive condition for the political process in Syria”, the Italian news agency ANSA reported.

Adding to tensions between the US and Russia, a senior US official said on Monday that Washington had reached a preliminary conclusion that Russia knew in advance about the chemical weapons attack, although it had no proof of Moscow’s involvement, the Associated Press reported.

Boris Johnson is largely toothless. And that’s just how Theresa May likes it
:rotfl:

Russia was the guarantor of a 2013 deal under which Syria would remove all chemical weapons. Tillerson said it was not clear if Russia had failed in that role through complicity or incompetence, but that the distinction mattered little to the dead. “We cannot let this happen again,” he said.

Washington has played down expectations that the trip will produce any shift in Russian policy, saying only that it hopes to deliver a message, and leave Russia to consider its response.

The Russian foreign ministry released a truculent statement before Tillerson arrived in Moscow, noting that Russian-American relations were going through the “most difficult period since the end of the cold war”. It said the “long list of irritants that have arisen through Washington’s fault is not decreasing”.

At the G7 summit, diplomats attended a rapidly convened sideline meeting with diplomats from Muslim-majority regional powers, including Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Turkey.

These countries, regarded as holding a key role in US hopes for ensuring stability after the defeat of Isis, would also be critical to preventing Syria from sliding into greater chaos and violence if Assad stepped down or was removed.

Additional reporting by Alec Luhn
PS:The next wave of US strikes will be carried out by its N-subs. If further missiles are launched from surface warships and Russians suffer casualties, then Russia may launch massed missile strikes against US naval forces in the Meditt. Subs are far stealthier and as was done in Libya, the perfect weapon of choice. This is resulting in increased UW activity on both sides.A US N-sub would also become a legitimate target.

Putin: Nearly Half of 20,000 Foreign Fighters in Syria Hail From CIS

https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/2017 ... -fighters/
According to various estimates, about 20,000 foreign fighters are fighting in Syria, of which almost 10,000 are from the CIS countries," Putin told the Mir broadcaster in an interview published Wednesday."These are mainly CSTO countries, by the way," Putin stressed, underscoring the need to create a broad international anti-terrorist coalition.[/b]

Russia's Faith in the US Has Waned Since Trump's Inauguration – Putin

It is possible to say that [Russia's] level of trust [in the US] at the working level, especially at the military level, hasn't become better; it has, in fact, eroded," Putin told the Channel Mir-TV.

Putin: Syrian Authorities Met All Obligations on Chemical Arms Destruction

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Wednesday.

"Everyone knows that we carried out great work on our and US initiative to destroy all chemical weapons in possession of the Syrian authorities. They carried out their work, they met all their obligations as far as we know. This was confirmed by a corresponding special organization in the United Nations. If there are any doubts, this inspection can be carried out," Putin told the Mir television channel in an interview.

Commenting on the April 4 chemical weapon attack in Syrian Idlib, blamed by the West for the authorities in Damascus, Putin said that a through investigation into this incident was necessary in order to provide any judgments.

"You know that it is not difficult to do it using modern equipment, analysis systems, analyzers. If anybody among the official authorities used [chemical weapons],… elements of powder on the machinery, territory would definitely remain. The modern equipment will definitely detect them. What could be easier than… to visit this airfield and check everything there," Putin added.

Putin said.

"Without verification, we do not consider it possible to take any steps against the official Syrian authorities," he told the broadcaster.

He offered two working theories of the events in the town of Khan Shaykhun as either an attack on a secret shop housing poisonous substances or a staged provocation.

"This is quite possible since the militants have repeatedly used [chemical weapons] and nobody argues with this," Putin stressed. "The second version is just a staging, in other words a provocation."

ArrTee quotes MIT professor
Postol was not convinced by such evidence.

“Any competent analyst would have had questions about whether the debris in the crater was staged or real,” he wrote. “No competent analyst would miss the fact that the alleged sarin canister was forcefully crushed from above, rather than exploded by a munition within it.”

Instead, “the most plausible conclusion is that the sarin was dispensed by an improvised dispersal device made from a 122mm section of rocket tube filled with sarin and capped on both sides.”

“We again have a situation where the White House has issued an obviously false, misleading and amateurish intelligence report,” he concluded, recalling the 2013 situation when the Obama administration claimed Assad had used chemical weapons against the rebels in Ghouta, near Damascus.

“What the country is now being told by the White House cannot be true,” Postol wrote, “and the fact that this information has been provided in this format raises the most serious questions about the handling of our national security.”

This is not the first time. They are well used to this. And this is exactly why, the proposal is now with G7 to garner their support, and then may be to G20 to get their support before anything goes to UN.

Massa has realized that they don't have sway over UNGA anymore and so they would only undermine it going forward. And UN is based on grants primarily from massa so they have to go along.

I doubt this very much. I think China (and India!) pay a heck of lot both in cash and in in-kind contributions (UNPKF, medical, etc etc) and have a LOT more clout than one thinks. Not using it much unlike Massa - the PR and Think Tank structure is not in place (china, some).

You see this when you see Former Indian Amby 2 US now working as a flunky in a Beltway Bandit Think Tank. No criticism - China has PLA Jarnails working likewise so it may be 2-way game. Or SubSwmy teaching at Hahvahd summers (well, not any more). Or Dalai Lama at (methodist, hate-p0rn-writing) Emory U.

In this case a vociferous UNGA demand for common sense and transparency would go a long way. Starting with a US public apology for the 2003 WMD lies (in that case, per Foggy Bottom retirees) ppl were aghast when they saw the pics being tossed around the UNSC by Powell - they recognized them as pics from pre-1991!! Of course they were under Security Clearance so their Lips and Fingers were sealed. The lies are deliberate. They need public exposure and education.

In this case, there is absolutely nothing in the US / UK claims of "proof" nor in the resolution that was vetoed today. They are saying: ask Syrian pilots whether they flew over the area, and whether they dropped bombs". Answer to both may be "YES" but that proves absolutely nothing: The MIT ex-prof's report I posted above says clearly what I had not read anywhere in MSM: The SARIN came from an artillery shell found inside a bomb crater. The shell shows that it was damaged from outside - as would happen if were either blown out of an ammo dump, or deliberately hammered in after the fact.

IOW, it does not show signs of exploding from inside. Now this is in a rebel-held area so you can't accuse Russians or Assad of planting that there. Which points the finger very clearly at the Rebels and their Masters. Why is this not being publicized and debated?

Which means that the US/UK and MSM are deliberately hiding the truth and lying. A lot of people are going to die violently, or be disabled/ traumatized because of these lies. The liars experience total impunity: no one has gone to jail for the 2003 version or the 2013 version.

This means the UN is now as useless and toxic as the League of Nations.

BTW, he was the investigator who looked at CNN bomb videos and showed most of the LGBs in the Desert Storm were ineffective as they went too far before exploding.
And also showed that Patriots did not do an effective job in intercepting the Scuds fired against Israel then.

Colin Powell's genocidal lies
Colin Powell Lying On video

http://www.historycommons.org/timeline. ... ellsSpeech
Dossiers Contain Large Amounts of White House Misinformation - Wilkerson has been given three dossiers: about 90 pages of material on Iraq’s WMD, on its sponsorship of terrorism, and on its violation of human rights. Wilkerson is not well informed about the variety of machinations surrounding the WMD issue, but it doesn’t take him long to realize there is a problem. The CIA has an array of analysts with decades of experience studying Iraq’s weapons programs, rigorous peer review procedures to prevent unreliable intelligence from making it into the final assessments, and a large budget devoted to Middle East intelligence. But the CIA had not produced Wilkerson’s dossiers. They had been prepared by Libby, Cheney’s chief of staff. Wilkerson is taken aback by such a breach of procedure, especially on such a critically important matter of state. Former NSC counterterrorism chief Richard Clarke later says, “It’s very strange for the Vice President’s senior adviser to be… saying to the Secretary of State, ‘This is what you should be saying.’” As Wilkerson goes through the material, he realizes, in Unger’s words, “just how aggressively Cheney and his men have stacked the deck.” Wilkerson first reads the 48-page WMD dossier, and is not impressed. “It was anything but an intelligence document,” he later says. “It was, as some people characterized it later, sort of a Chinese menu from which you could pick and choose.”

The Syrian General Staff said that the US-led coalition struck a Daesh depot storing chemical weapons in Deir ez-Zor on Wednesday.

The Syrian military said that this fact proves that terrorists possess chemical weapons.

"The jets of the so-called US-led coalition launched a strike at about 17:30-17:50 [local time, 14:30-14:50 GMT] on a Daesh warehouse where many foreign fighters were present. First a white cloud and then a yellow one appeared at the site of the strike, which points at the presence of a large number of poisonous substances. A fire at the site continued until 22:30 [19:30 GMT]," the Syrian army's command statement obtained by Sputnik said.

According to the Syrian General Staff, the US-led coalition's strike killed several hundred people, including civilians. Hundreds were poisoned as a result of the strike on Daesh's headquarters and depot with chemical weapons.

"This confirms that Daesh and al-Nusra terrorists possess chemical weapons and are capable of using, obtaining and transporting it," the document said.
The Syrian army yet again denied possessing chemical weapons.

The trouble with such cynical "policies" is that they usually lead to the rise of a Mahdi. Today that would be *****VERY*** bad. Look what it did starting AD780, and they didn't even have the shia-sunni jollies. Most of Europe Asia and African north of the Equator, were devastated.

But never fear. There is a brand-new Chemical Attacker Animal to subdue
Even I can't say that one can tell the Japanese "Don't worry B Happee". If their nuclear facilities are taken out, it seems logical that they will seek to take out parts of Japan and SoKo, and in Japan's case, nerve gas is a probable response given how much the Koreans love the Japanese.

St. Petersburg bombing suspect was deported from Turkey.
Alright, but why does every jihadi make the pilgrimage to Turkey?!

I can guess its a Mecca for any one who wants to go and fight in Syria , Like Higher School of Graduation before they go and fight in Syria if they come alive they are deported to host country to start terrorist activity.

Thats what Putin said that some 20000 Terorist fighting in Syria roughly half of the total strength are from CIS and eventually if they win there they would come back to CIS to start their little wars

I thought they dropped the MOAB back in 2001/2002? 21,000 lb. Wonder how much "yield" they get out of that. Explosion seemed to spread along the ground quite a bit.

A sharp criticism of the White House report on the gas attack in Syria:
http://turcopolier.typepad.com/sic_semp ... t-ttg.html
This report gives the impression that the White House has more classified evidence that can’t be exposed to protect sources and methods. That’s a reasonable impression. The IC {Intelligence Community}report on the Russian attack on the 2016 election process made the same claim and suffered widespread skepticism by doing so. This is as it should be. Given the primacy of information operations and the all consuming desire to control the narrative, it’s difficult to take anybody, especially a government, at their word. If we are serious about protecting intelligence sources and methods, we must accept this conundrum as a way of life. I only accept the premise of the IC Russia report because of my ten plus years of experience with the subject matter, not because the IC said so in a report lacking any convincing evidence. But I recognize this White House report on the Syrian chemical attack of 4 April as a steaming pile of manure for precisely the same reason.
The article then goes systematically over the White House report.

***tunnel**** I agree. If a MOAB fits in a B-2 I think it is going to be tested b4 the nuke. If they can figure the time, which takes some very brave inside source who may not survive that.

MOAB is not a very relevant weapon in the North Korean underground test structure context. The 30,000 lb GBU-57 would be a more logical choice and it is carried internally on the B-2.

How can MOAB be called "Biggest bum" if 30,000 lb GBU-57 exists, hain? :?: Is MOAB on Clearance Sale like 1970s vintage SLCMs used in Syria?

Some uninformed folks in the media may have called it the heaviest in US conventional arsenal but the correct claim would be that it was the most powerful conventional weapon used ( since the last heavy/similar weapon in the BLU-82 used was also in Afghanistan) which would be correct since the GBU-57 has not yet been used in combat.

A 30-ton bomb! Legal weight for an 18-wheeler is only 32MT. So this is like (1/3 of) an 18-wheeler-based VBIED, able to pin point into the cave/tunnel complexes. I suppose it collapses most tunnels in the vicinity from the shock wave.

What happened? SAA advances and Gen. Vodkov's activities stopped by one measly cruise mijjile attack? I hope not!

30000lb is only some 12t...divide by 2.4

For hardened targets the shape needs to be slim with hugely strong metal shell. Ones used in ods were repurposed 8" naval gun barrels
