And the most ridiculous thing, apart from the Rohingyas being in Jammu with AAdhar etc, is the fact that they have been there since c. 2008 ! What the heck?

Dhaka Tribune:
‘If we can feed 160m, we can also feed 700,000 Rohingya refugees’
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday said Bangladesh can feed 700,000 Rohingya refugees.
“We have the ability to feed 160 million people of Bangladesh and we have enough food security to feed the 700,000 refugees,” the prime minister at a programme after visiting the The Kutupalong Refugee Camp in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar.
If they can feed 160.7 million people, they can also feed 40000 more?

Malaysia warns Rohingya crisis could lead to Isil attacks in Myanmar
Malaysian militants had already been recruiting Rohingyas affected by the last mass exodus of the minority in October, and dispatching them to the Philippines for training.

Southeast Asia could “pay the price” of Islamic State supporters seeking to exploit the persecution of the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar’s Rakhine state, Malaysia’s defence minister has warned.

Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin cautioned that Isil (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant), which has been seeking to establish a bigger foothold in the region, could use the current crisis to recruit members of the Rohingya community who were left vulnerable and without a choice.
Islamists' typical bargaining technique.

What Intel Experts Warned On Rohingyas In Meet At Prime Minister's Office
Amid widening international condemnation of India's plans to deport Rohingya Muslims who have escaped the violence against them in Western Myanmar, top officials of the government met in the Prime Minister's Office to review their strategy. The meeting last evening was called by Nripendra Misra, the top aide to Prime Minister Narendra Modi; the attendees included National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and the heads of intelligence agencies including the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW). They focused on increasing alerts about links between Rohingya militant commanders in Myanmar and terror groups in Pakistan including Hafiz Saeed's Lashkar-e-Taiba. An intel report reviewed by them concludes "In our assessment, penetration of Pakistan-based terrorist outfits among Rohingya Muslims community is a serious emerging threat, as the same would ultimately be used for targeting India."

The intelligence note reviewed last evening highlights that Rohingya insurgents in Myanmar have established links to Hafiz Saeed and his Lashkar-e- Taiba, which is based in Pakistan and is responsible for the 26/11 siege on Mumbai among other deadly terror attacks in India.

The Lashkar funds and arms Rohingya militants, Indian intelligence agencies believe. The note attaches photographs that show Hafiz Saeed addressing a Rohingya militant outfit in Karachi in July 2012. The chief of HuJi, a major terror network in Pakistan and Bangladesh, is a Pakistani national of Rohingya origin. Top Pakistani terror group commanders visited a conference organized in 2012 in Bangladesh by Rohingya militants.

There are other red flags for India: a Pakistani Al Qaeda operative called Maulana Ustad Wazeer visited Thailand last month to train Rohingya militants. Intelligence officials are also trying to determine if a Rohingya in Kashmir was the guide for terrorists who crossed the border last month for a major attack on a police compound in Pulwama in which eight security personnel were killed 25 km from Srinagar.

About 7,000 Rohingya living in 23 settlements across Jammu have moved the Supreme Court, saying there is not a single terrorist amidst them and they deserve to be treated with dignity by the government. {How and why did they end up in Jammu of all places?}
How can SC listen to a petition filed in an Indian court by illegal foreigners? Can anyone on this globe come to our SC & file cases & our lawdships will listen to them? These SC lawds need to be choke-slammed real hard. Their antics are getting out of hand now.

India sends relief materials for Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh - PTI
India today sent 53 tonnes of relief materials to Bangladesh for Rohingya Muslim refugees from Myanmar, who poured into this country following the ethnic violence in the neighbouring Buddhist-majority nation.

The first consignment of India's assistance comes days after Dhaka briefed New Delhi about the problems faced by it due to the influx of these refugees.

Bangladesh High Commissioner in New Delhi Syed Muazzem Ali had met Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar last week and discussed the issue of Rohingyas in detail.

"In response to the humanitarian crisis being faced on account of the large influx of refugees into Bangladesh, Government of India has decided to extend assistance to Bangladesh," External Affairs Ministry in New Delhi said in a statement.

The relief material consists of items required urgently by the affected people, namely rice, pulses, sugar, salt, cooking oil, tea, ready to eat noodles, biscuits, mosquito nets etc, it said.

"Operation Insaniyat: High Commission handed over 1st consignment humanitarian assistance by India to Bangladesh," the mission tweeted.

"1st consignment of #Indian humanitarian assistance of 53 MT for #Bangladeshi arrives under Operation #Insaniyat @SushmaSwaraj," it said.

India will provide 7,000 tonnes of relief materials to Bangladesh.

Bangladesh s Road Transport Minister Obaidul Quader received the materials from Indian High Commissioner Harsh Vardhan Shringla after an Indian aircraft carrying the assistance landed at southeastern port city of Chittagong.

The mission said Quader likened the aid to India's assistance to Bangladesh during the 1971 Liberation War.

Bangladesh, which is facing a big influx of Rohingyas from Myanmar, has called on the international community to intervene and put pressure on Myanmar to address the exodus.

Other than to send them to your house "force" them to go into Bangladesh. There are no soft measures to deal with RMs and illegal BDs. India has to use some amount of strength and force if it wishes to solves this grave security and demographic threat.

China endorses military crackdown in Rakhine: Myanmar's state media - Straits Times
Myanmar's state media said on Thursday (Sept 14) that China has endorsed its offensive against Rohingya Muslim insurgents, though the United Nations secretary-general said the operation was best described as "ethnic cleansing".

"The stance of China regarding the terrorist attacks in Rakhine is clear, it is just an internal affair," the state-run Global New Light of Myanmar newspaper quoted China's Ambassador Hong Liang as telling top government officials.

"The counter-attacks of Myanmar security forces against extremist terrorists and the government's undertakings to provide assistance to the people are strongly welcomed."

Here is an interesting point. Suu Kyi links the attacks on the Buddhists & the Hindus to western aid organisations. Looks like the colour revolution fomenting scum are playing their part in Burma too.

http://www.smh.com.au/world/myanmars-au ... y5jue.html

And in other news, Kiren Rijiju says India has no definite plans to deport the Rohingyas yet. Seems like it is still an open question what the centre wants to do with them.

Rohingya (or maybe Rohingya pasand) terrorists planned to attack the Mahabodhi temple to protest against Burmese atrocities on the Rohingya.

http://www.thehindu.com/news/national/o ... 681959.ece

The interesting thing is - the guy was involved in Ahmedabad bomb blast case, was living in Bangladesh (isn't it our ally against terrorism?) & was visiting India through the porous Maldah border (wasn't this tightened up after Maldah riots?) & planning to attack the Mahabodhi temple in Bodh Gaya. Global Ummah connect & porous borders .....

There you go - the Rohingya based terrorism has already started in India. Wait for the shrill chorus from the Liberals & their western allies about how the poor disoriented Rohingyas should not be deported or they will do big time terrorism in India because they have no choice.

that the Rohingya's were responsible for the killings.

Desi newspapers are reporting that the Burmese Army is responsible.

Brilliant idea.

Rohingyas in Arakan Burma increase from 5 % to 29% due to jihad => we need to create a makeshift Gaza on the Indo-Burmese border for these persecuted sods.

Hindus in Bangladesh decrease from 33% to 8% => which is good, since we're moving to a post-Hindu India anyway.

Gazas are model incubators for budding Shariah Bolsheviks, whose liberal ideas pollinate the minds of the soft-headed university students across the world, who are subsequently dubbed "intellectual".

Involving the UN is a proven great idea, as Chacha Nehru's example teaches us.

India must free itself of its Hindu identity and enter a "post-Hindu" phase of genial socialism that does not worship the 'Golden Calf' but rather waits for manna from heaven.

Agnimitra, you are right.

The only viable solution is: Rohingyas can stay in India if and only if they do ghar-wapsi and embrace Sanatan Dharm.

Accrual of rights and benefits to be incremental and strictly contingent on periodic verification of the fact that they are actually practicing Sanatan Dharm (any branch of their choice), in all aspects of communal celebration and individual/household devotion... not merely as a cosmetic lifafa covering up a poisonous crypto-Islamic core identity.

If they do this they will be welcomed, assisted, settled, and also assured of their security against Muslim fanatics who want to punish them for apostasy.

If they don't, they can go home and take their chances with the Myanmarese army. Or to any Muslim country that will take them.

It will never happen, but it's the only thing not involving mass violence that can work. As always, for civilization to win, Islam has to lose.

Genuine tears or just a ruse to extract aid or goodwill from the west in the name of rohingyas?

Far From Myanmar Violence, Rohingya in Pakistan Are Seething
Outside Myanmar, and perhaps now Bangladesh, Pakistan is home to the highest concentration of Rohingya in the world, from a previous exodus of Rohingya in the 1970s and ’80s. A vast majority live in neighborhoods that are distressingly impoverished even by Karachi’s standards.
Now they are angry that Pakistan is not doing more to stop the killing in Myanmar, let alone improve the condition of the estimated 500,000 Rohingya who live in this country.
But even as politicians and civil society in Pakistan are up in arms over how members of the Buddhist majority in Myanmar are abusing the Muslim Rohingyas there, hundreds of thousands of Rohingya migrants here continue to live in desperation.
Malnutrition and diarrhea are common among children who have little access to schools and spend their days playing in rivers of garbage.
There are no hospitals in the slums, and at least six women spoke of having a relative die giving birth because she had been denied admission to government hospitals.
Still, what people complained of the most in interviews last week was routine harassment by the police. Many spoke grimly of a “Burma Cell,” a special police division responsible for cracking down on Rohingya migrants
“Without cards, we are blocked out of jobs, our children can’t apply for admission in high schools and we can’t access government hospitals,” said Mr. Arkani, of the Rohingya Solidarity Organization.
Residents described arrests of people without cards who were then held either on impossible bail or until they paid a bribe directly to officers.
“We act against these people because they are a group of thieves,” noting that crimes like pick-pocketing and robbery in the surrounding area were mostly committed by the Rohingya.

Rohingya Hindus too fleeing to Bangladesh

KUTUPALANG, UKHIA (BANGLADESH): Akhira Dhar sits in stony silence in one corner of the makeshift camp for Rohingya refugees. Her glazed eyes have a blank stare that seems oblivious of the bustle in the camp as a fresh wave of refugees arrive, carrying with them scars and hopes. It takes a long time for Akhira to return to the present. But the horrors of the recent past have simply overwhelmed her.

In the past week, Akhira has seen her husband and in-laws being hacked to death. Masked men armed with guns and machetes beheaded them after they looted everything the villagers had. That they were Hindus, minorities among the Rohingyas, didn't matter. In the Rakhine state, violence and persecution obliterated religious boundaries. Hindu women were raped and killed before their villages were burnt.

At Fakir Bazar, the village where Akhira was married into barely a year ago, the masked men did not spare a single male member. The blood and gore that she witnessed still numbs her. "Hadi felay (They kill everyone)," she murmurs. How she, carrying a four-month life in her womb, managed the crossing across the hilly terrain and jungle tracts braving wild animals is difficult to comprehend but she did finally make it to Merinja opposite Naikhong Chari in Chittagong. Here, she is now housed in Hindupara, a Hindu settlement within the Kutupalang Camp.

Rikha Dhar, another refugee in Hindupara, recounted how her husband who had a gold shop in Myanmar's Fakir Bazar was tortured by masked men till he disclosed where he had hidden the jewellery. Once he did though, they slit his throat. "My husband told them about the jewellery when they threatened to kill our children. They then took him blindfolded towards the hills. When we were fleeing, we found his blood-soaked body along with hundreds of others," she recalled. The masked men, survivors are convinced, are not the armed forces as they speak the Rakhine dialect. These men, with their faces hidden, had spread a reign of terror in villages with Hindu settlements. Now, as per usual Muslims - Rohingyas in this case - are Slaughtering Hindu, not for being Rohingyas but for being Hindus

"The gun-toting masked men came one Thursday afternoon and drove us into our homes. For the next six days, they did not allow anyone to come out. On the seventh day, when they had gone to a nearby village, we fled for our lives," said Bijay Ram, a Rohingya Hindu who managed to escape along with 120 more families from Oti Roah village in Myanmar. While trekking through the jungle, they found Akhira, Rikha and six other women with children.

"We found them wandering aimlessly," said Swapan Sharma Roni, member of Haladia Palang Parishad (III), the administrative body of a block of villages which brought them along. "In the past few years, we have not seen any Hindu refugee crossing the border to enter Bangladesh. It seems no Rohingyas were spared this time," Roni said. The cold horror in the eyes of survivors like Rikha reflects the trauma. "I've seen the porch stained with the blood of my kin. There is no more strength left in me even to cry," said Rikha.

The relevant question to ask here is, who exactly is behind these prescriptions that India should move to a "post-Hindu" phase (which includes: accepting Rohingyas, renouncing J&K, entertaining anti-Hindu identity politics, opening up the country to EJ front organizations etc.) Until 2014 most Indian governments were inclined to meekly follow these prescriptions to one extent or another.

The fact is, although Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election, she was only the intended *face* of a well-established transnational network. The face may be gone but the body, brain, arms, legs of this entity are still very much operating (albeit in the shadows and behind a burqa for now).

The same network of institutions, financiers, and front-line end effectors that was responsible for Ukraine, Syria, and Libya are behind the Rohingya business. I would bet my life's savings on this.

The difference now is the following. From 1945 up to 2016 the public leadership of this network's efforts used to be the GOTUS (Acheson, Dulles, Kissinger, Schultz, Albright, Clinton) while its intellectual forebears were often British thinkers past and present (Caroe, Mackinder, Disraeli).

Today in the Trump era the British are openly in the driver's seat, rather than playing the faithful lieutenants to American leadership as they have for 70 years. But the operating institutions are still largely American: GOTUS organs as well as US media and think-tanks firmly opposed to Trump.

The CIA has always run its "rogue" operations (often they were not truly "rogue" but construed that way to lend plausible deniability, such as the Bay of Pigs invasion and Iran-Contra deal). The US State Dept has always maintained multiple channels of communication with all manner of actors around the world, engaging them via track II, III, IV conduits that didn't always function with the direct approval or oversight of the White House. Today there are enough people in those institutions who consider Trump to be the "rogue", and rather view themselves as heroic torchbearers in the darkness, upholding the great tradition of American (Wilsonian) foreign policy even while the POTUS pays no attention to intelligence briefings and has no interest in what is going on.

To ensure that the POTUS remains on the defensive there is a continuous torrent of leaked fabrications regarding Russia, etc. Sure enough, the transnational network we are talking about has much reason to begrudge Putin his victories in Ukraine, and now in Syria, despite their vicious strategems. But their chief efforts today are focused on their next target: a rapidly rising India, showing unprecedented self-confidence in her Hindu identity and defying all their long-standing levers of GOI/media/NGO-based persuasion, to be targeted from her Eastern flank in the post-Pakistan age.

Ramana, until peace returns to the Arakan, what do we do with the Ros? We can't parachute them into Burma! Neither do we want them in J&K spreading into the Indian heartland from where they will disappear with time thanks to our corrupt babus, police, etc. who will present them for a fee any form of ID reqd. Since the Wild West and tear-jerkers are so voluble, let them put their money where their mouth is.We can construct a few model refugee camps just inside the border, from where sending them back to Burma would be easy once a political deal has been worked out.

There's no way that the Europeans or Yanquis are going to welcome the Ros with open arms! THey want BDesh (and India) to bear the burden and punish Suu (and the junta) for her "duplicity",with even futile calls from some to have her Nobel Prize taken back.I frankly don't know who'se absurd idea it was to hive them off to J&K.Talk about adding fuel to the fire!

RD spot on.The CIA,Brits, have always "played both ends against the middle".This was seen extensively in Sri Lanka during that conflict, where despite avowing a global "war against terrorism",they were ready to rescue Prabhakaran and his top commanders by naval helicopters from the beach which was the LTTE';s last stand. Western diplomats put enormous pressure upon Rajapakse and the GOSL to save their agent ,Prabhakran.Israel too in a book on the Mossad ,sold fast attack craft to the Lankans and were allegedly training the Lankans in one camp, while in the adjoining camp, theyw re teaching the LTTE how to blow up these very same craft ! Burma/Myanmar ws the equiv. of Asia's Albania,a completely closed nation, run by a mil junta who were deeply suspicious of the West. The West found their v.attractive champion,ASSK,staunch human rights defender, incarcerated for aeons, married to a Brit. who later died, gave her (deservingly) the Nobel P*ss Prize, usually awarded to underserving candidates who are western lackeys and cronies, designed to apply pressure upon these lackey's pet hates, usually nations that reject western diktats.

Unfortunately for the West, rather than act against the junta, Suu Kyi has wisely tried to find accommodation with it and a more gentle path towards full democracy in her country, well knowing the huge problems of race, religion, ideoogy, etc. Thus relations with neighbours like India were hugely improved, with defence ties too improved. Suu wanted Burma's neighbours to assist the country in creating regional stability as well as eco development, spurning massive western interference which she knew would come with strings, turning the country into a puppet state.

The problem that she still faces is that the Burmese security apparatus is hyper-sensitive to security, esp. Islamic terror and has identified the Ros as a major threat. This conflict also has an ethno-religious dimension, with the nation mostly Buddhist.A similar situ also exists in Sri Lanka,,where the B clergy have enormous influence tx. to some political elements using the Sinhala-Buddhist drumbeat to gain politically. The fact that Western nations allied with their Saudi/Gulfie partners have been responsible for the growth of ISIS,just like the Al Q antecedents in Afghanistan ,formed to fight the Soviets there,Ro attacks against Burmese forces could've easily have been orchestrated by these meddling interlopers, the usual (Western) suspects, well knowing that they would trigger off a massive reprisal from the Burmese junta. The rest as they say is history. While we cannot ignore the humanitarian aspect of this unfolding tragedy,we cannot be oblivious to any external pot-stirring as well.

India's role is v.simple.Full support to the Burmese govt. in ensuring their sovereignty and independence, preventing Islamic terror from getting deep roots there and full support in whatever humanitarian manner it wishes from us. The cat'spaw in this conflict could very well be our old chums the ISI operating out of BDesh at the behest of the Soothis and their Western bum-chums.

How come I never hear news of Rohingya( or Pakis) illegally migrating to China?

They come all the way to India, a poor country versus a 12 trillion super power which is right next door!

India is pushing Myanmar both bilaterally and multilaterally to take back Rohingya Muslim refugees who fled the Buddhist-majority nation following the ethnic violence, a top aide of Bangladesh Prime Minister quoted External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj as saying.

More than 300,000 Rohingya have poured into Bangladesh since the latest flare-up in violence on 25 August, adding to around 300,000 refugees already living in Bangladesh, close to the border with Myanmar.

Swaraj, in a phone call, yesterday (14 September) spoke to Prime Minister Shiekh Hasina and assured her of India’s full support to Bangladesh’s stance over the Rohingya issue, Hasina’s Deputy Press Secretary Nazrul Islam was quoted as saying by the bdnews24.com.

“India’s position is the same as Bangladesh’s over the Rohingya issue,” Nazrul quoted Swaraj as telling Hasina. “She also spoke about India pushing Myanmar both bilaterally and multilaterally so that they take back their refugees. What India is saying is that Myanmar must stop atrocities against Rohingyas,” he added.

Hasina said the government has designated land for makeshift shelters of the Rohingya people, but if they stayed here for long, it would pose a big problem for Bangladesh. Hasina also said she would raise the Rohingya issue at the United Nations General Assembly in New York later this month.

India, yesterday, rushed 53 tonnes of relief materials to Bangladesh and pledged all help to Dhaka in tackling the humanitarian crisis. India’s High Commissioner Harsh Vardhan Shringla said India will provide 7,000 tonnes of relief materials to Bangladesh.

Because they will stick out like black sesame seeds on rice porridge in the PRC and be rounded up for the salt mines before they could cry "Allahu Akbar"?

WP: Why Aung San Suu Kyi isn’t protecting the Rohingya in Burma
Meanwhile, Suu Kyi may see that, despite criticism of how she has handled the Rakhine crisis, most powerful foreign governments are not going to punish Burma. The White House put out a statement this past week noting that it was “deeply troubled” by the violence in Rakhine but has done little else. Elsewhere, Delhi has stood alongside Suu Kyi in condemning Rohingya terrorist groups and has threatened to deport Rohingya seeking shelter in India. Beijing blames the Rohingya militants for the violence. This month, Suu Kyi’s security adviser noted that “friendly countries” such as China would block any resolution at the U.N. Security Council criticizing Burma.

MEA statement below. Glad government is upholding India's humanitarian values, despite China trying its best to cynically exploit the situation to draw Burma away from India.

Operation Insaniyat - Humanitarian assistance to Bangladesh on account of influx of refugees
September 14, 2017

In response to the humanitarian crisis being faced on account of the large influx of refugees into Bangladesh, Government of India has decided to extend assistance to Bangladesh. The relief material consists of items required urgently by the affected people, namely rice, pulses, sugar, salt, cooking oil, tea, ready to eat noodles, biscuits, mosquito nets etc.

The relief material will be delivered in multiple consignments, the first tranche of which will be brought to Chittagong by an Indian Air Force plane on 14th September 2017.

India has always responded readily and swiftly to any crisis in Bangladesh, in keeping with the close ties of friendship between the peoples of India and Bangladesh. India stands ready to provide any assistance required by Government of Bangladesh in this hour of need.

forget about deporting India's Rohingyas, Modi is bending oiver backwards to send material aid even to Bangladeshi Rohingyas - and there's no indication that this is targeted at Hindu Rohingyas:

India Sends Relief Assistance for Rohingya Refugees in Bangladesh

Not sure why Modi's team feels the need to showcase a Siddi mosque in Shinzo Abe's tour of Gujarat

And Sanpnath Singh earns the accolades of Kashmiri jihadi separatists for affirming 35-A - this from a party founded on abolishing 370

I think its time to examine all the transnational political, geostrategic and mercantile carrots and sticks being brought to bear on Modi - AND ALSO what the BJP's career has been about from day one.

Good strategy to send aid for optics if they remain firm on deportation. Similar strategy will be needed to deport Bdeshis if and when it happens. Right now pressure should be on Myanmar to take back the Rohingyas in India who migrated from that region.

Relief assistance may be a type of carrot and stick diplomacy. Govt will file an affidavit on Monday in the SC. Still have some hopes govt will act, as it's the one that brought up this issue.
