What is the difference between a daughter and a daughter - in - law? Both same, same for Pakistanis. Prophet (PBUH) showed the way when he married his own daughter-in-law and I am sure he would have married his daughter if he had one.

Centre of Taliban terrorism is in Pakistan: Afghan President Ashraf Ghani

NEW DELHI: Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani on Friday slammed Pakistan blaming it for the recent terror attacks in the country and said that it should "show some concrete action" to get rid of terrorist infrastructure within its territory.

Ashraf Ghani, in a televised address, said that the "centre of Taliban terrorism is in Pakistan" and demanded that the authorities in the neighbouring country "show some concrete action to rid their territory of insurgents."

He also urged those among the Taliban who wanted to talk peace with the government to separate themselves from those who want only to fight.

This is not the first time Afghanistan has blamed Pakistan for supporting and harbouring terror activities from its soil.

A day earlier, interior minister Wais Ahmed Barmak had said that it has given Pakistan confessions and other proof that the terrorists who carried out a recent series of attacks were trained in Pakistan and that Taliban leaders there are allowed to roam freely.

At a news conference in Kabul on Thursday, Interior Minister Wais Ahmed Barmak said the evidence was presented at a meeting a day earlier in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad.

Afghanistan's spy chief, Masoom Stanikzai, also attended the meeting, along with senior Pakistani military and intelligence officials.

Last month, following an attack on the Afghan Military Academy in Kabul by a group of suicide bombers, Afghanistan envoy to the US, Majeed Qarar, had claimed that Pakistan Army had supplied military equipment to Taliban in Afghanistan.

"The night vision goggles found with Taliban attackers in Maiwand's ANA base were military grade goggles (not sold to the public) procured by Pakistan Army from a British company and supplied to Lashkar-e-Toiba in Kashmir and Taliban in Afghanistan. Lashkar-e-Tayyeba is an international terrorist organisation", Qarar tweeted.

A Lesson in Terroristani English

After eating up $2.5b, Pakistan to float another $1b Eurobond!
ISLAMABAD: After eating up the $2.5 billion it borrowed two months ago by issuing two sovereign bonds, Pakistan wants to float another Eurobond this month to raise around $1 billion amid fast depletion of its foreign currency reserves.
Unlike the past when the government pursued road shows to lure investors, an exercise that consumes more time, this time the finance ministry has decided to explore the tap off option, said sources in the ministry. The option will be deemed as an extension of the last bond issue and save time for a desperate finance ministry.
In the tap off option, the ministry would not require hiring financial advisers afresh and it will build on the offers that Pakistan received in November 2017 when it raised $2.5 billion. The government will issue the 10-year dollar denominated Eurobonds, they added
Before borrowing $2.5 billion, Pakistan’s official foreign currency reserves had dipped to $13.6 billion. The country has consumed the entire $2.5 billion sum in just two months. The SBP on Thursday disclosed that during the week ending 26 January the SBP’s reserves decreased by $299 million to $13.234 billion – lower than what Pakistan had before floating the last bonds.
The reserves are inclusive of $6.2 billion that the central bank has temporarily borrowed from the domestic commercial banks.

Chabahar Port lures Afghan traffic away from Karachi
Afghanistan has shifted 80% of its cargo traffic from Pakistan’s Karachi seaport to Iran’s Bandar Abbas and Chabahar ports. The move comes two months after Chabahar, barely 100 kilometers from Pakistan’s Gwadar port, was inaugurated. The shift, prompted in part by a new trade tariff imposed by Islamabad, is expected to greatly reduce Pakistan’s role in the transit of Afghan goods.Pakistani business leaders believe that more Afghan trade will eventually shift to the strategic Chabahar Port, as it is Iran’s closest sea link to the Indian Ocean. The first phase of Shahid Beheshti Port in the Sistan-Balochistan province was commissioned last year. It is expected that US$5 billion worth of Afghan trade will be conducted solely through the tripartite Chabahar Port – sponsored jointly by India, Iran, and Afghanistan – once it starts feeding the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC).The current fiscal year has seen a US$2 billion drop in trade with Afghanistan due to frequent border shutdowns, military skirmishes and the new trade tariff. The trade volume, which stood at US$ 2.5 billion in 2016, has gradually declined to US$500 million following the deterioration of relations between the South Asian neighbors.
“The leadership of both countries should not mingle politics with trade and discourage the use of bilateral trade as a leverage to settle political and regional disputes,” Zia Ul Haq Sarhadi, director of the Pakistan Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PAJCCI), told Asia Times. He attributed the decline to heightened tensions on the border, tariffs and Chabahar port, where he claimed India offered huge incentives for Afghan traders.“On a reciprocal basis, Afghanistan opened a second aerial corridor for India, enabling her to establish a direct trade link between Mumbai and Kabul. The first flight took 40 tons of dried and fresh fruits and medicinal herbs to India through the aerial route,” Sarhadi said. The US$2 billion reduction in bilateral trade with Afghanistan is expected to adversely hit the country’s economy, which is already reeling under a widening trade deficit and worsening balance of payments. Data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) in December last year point to a dismal economic outlook.Pakistan’s foreign exchange deposits figure is gradually sinking. It is presently estimated at US$14.66 billion, which includes US$2.5 billion worth of sales proceeds from euro and Sukuk bonds. Pakistan needs to pay back $6 billion for foreign debts servicing by the end of June 2018. To make matters worse for the country, the US government announced it was freezing military aid to Pakistan. As bilateral trade continues to shrink, Pakistan is looking at a looming economic crisis, while the Chabahar Port becomes a lucrative alternative for the Afghans. It is doubtful that the CPEC will be able to plug the gap.

Washington Post headline
Terroristan was behind recent deadly attacks (in Afghanistan)
KABUL — Afghanistan’s president forcefully accused Pakistan on Friday of sheltering Taliban insurgents, blaming the neighboring Muslim country for a recent wave of urban terrorist attacks that has roiled the nation and raised questions about his government’s ability to protect the populace.

In a televised address, President Ashraf Ghani described Pakistan as the “center of Taliban terrorism” ...

Irregularities of Rs300 billion found in Punjab Finance Department: Auditor General

Irregularities of Rs300 billion were identified in Government of Punjab's financial dealings for the year 2015-16, according to the Auditor General of Pakistan's (AGP) audit report on the accounts of the Government of Punjab.

The report, a copy of which is available with DawnNews, is titled "Audit report on the Accounts of Government of Punjab Audit Year 2016-17" but pertains to the fiscal year 2015-16.

The report says Rs287 billion worth of overall irregularities occurred due to inefficient budgetary/financial management. Of that figure, Rs27bn were excess payments made for the Lahore Orange Line Metro Project.

The AGP, in the report, states that Rs63.71bn were unduly retained for development funds, planned receipts were short by Rs35.29bn, whereas Rs5.07bn were lost due to non-investment in General Provident Investment Fund.

The report found that "weak financial management for issuance and utilization of supplementary grants" cost the provincial treasurer a loss of Rs103.96bn.

The report also pointed out that Punjab government failed to recover Rs5.47bn in electricity charges from autonomous bodies.

"Funds to the tune of Rs8.66bn were directly released to the State Bank of Pakistan in 26 cases for further credit to different agencies...without routing them through Accountant General Punjab for pre-audit," the report adds.

Pakistan among countries battling record flu, face rising death tolls

BEIJING: The ongoing flu season has strongly affected several countries, with at least 129 deaths reported in the past three weeks.

Pakistan, Ireland, China, Greece and the United States are countries reporting victims. With 16 more pediatric deaths announced on Friday, the United States has so far registered 53 deaths, more than any other country.

This flu season is on track to be the worst on US record regarding hospitalisation rates, American health officials told reporters in a conference call.

14 influenza patients in Pindi hospitals

“More hospitalisations and, tragically, more flu-associated deaths in children and adults,” said Anne Schuchat, acting director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Almost 12,000 people in the United States have been hospitalised with laboratory-confirmed influenza since the season started, the CDC reported.

According to Science magazine, the CDC blames this season’s high number of flu cases on an influenza variant known as type A, which is very strong and quite resistant against the flu vaccine.

A day before, Greek health authorities reported five patients have died within the past week from complications after contracting the seasonal flu virus.

Yet Greece is facing no danger of a flu epidemic, as opposed to Ireland and Pakistan, when one looks at the infection rates and death numbers.

As of January 25, the flu season has caused a total of 34 deaths in Ireland. Irish health authorities said the current flu season is the fifth worst of its kind in the country over the last 17 years.

On January 19, Pakistani officials reported at least 35 people have died from influenza and seasonal flu in the country’s east Punjab Province.
The death toll was feared to rise, as over 10 people are in critical condition in local hospitals, local authorities told Xinhua.

Pakistan’s neighbor, China, has also been battling a flu outbreak this winter. Children are those most affected.

So far, the flu has killed a 5-year-old boy in Hong Kong on January 24 and a 4-year-old girl in Macao the next day.

Chinese pediatricians especially faced an increase in workload this season.

Flu infections this winter are 71 per cent above average for the same period in the previous three years, with child cases rising sharply, according to the Beijing Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

Additionally, Belgium and Canada triggered flu alarms in mid-January. Fortunately, no flu-related deaths have been reported in both countries.

3 die of influenza

According to experts, influenza virus B, as well as H1N1 and H3N2, subtypes of influenza virus A, are among the most widespread in China as well as in the United States and Canada.

This flu season won’t end until several weeks later. While Chinese experts said it has passed its peak in China and will continue to ease through the Chinese Lunar New Year holidays, US officials said Americans “probably got several weeks left of increased flu activity.”

Ways to avoid becoming infected with the flu include being vaccinated – which is suggested by the World Health Organization as the most effective measure against the flu — as well as washing hands and wearing masks.

As with severe epidemics, US experts further suggest the public stay about 1.8 meters away from anyone with influenza.

Solution for India : No more "India Visit Visas" to be given to any-all Terroristanis - Medical or otherwise!

The cost of mainstreaming ( Hafiz- Suar )
Indian Express
Islamabad-based security analyst Amir Rana wrote in Dawn (January 28): “Banned militant groups are continuously giving Pakistan diplomatic stress. It has been discussed at various high-level national forums that these groups have become a strategic burden for the country.” ( Bring it under CPEC "umbrella" !)
In the first week of 2018, Pakistan barred Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) and Falah-e-Insaniat Foundation (FIF) of Pakistan’s infamous Wahhabi leader, Hafiz Saeed, from collecting donations. Pakistan’s financial regulatory body, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), issued a notification prohibiting the collection of donations by the JuD, the front organisation of the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba, as also the around 300 educational institutions run by the JuD and the many private courts it was running in defiance of the writ of the state.
The world knew that Saeed was behind the Mumbai attacks. David Headley’s confessions had been published and the “rogue” elements had come out, offended with the Pakistan Army for “not doing enough”. Back home, the courts declared Saeed innocent of all charges of terrorism. The strongman, thought to have a private army of over 200,000 warriors on call, was too strong to even be asked to tone down his brazenly uncivilised jihadi rhetoric. He ran his own courts in several cities and the state simply accepted them because Saeed was “useful” with his big-money charity in troubled areas in Sindh and Balochistan.
Defence Minister Khwaja Muhammad Asif has opened the floodgates of “orchestrated” castigation against the remnants of the Sharif government.Reports say Asif was in Germany when he committed the blasphemy of saying that “Hafiz Saeed can become a threat to society”. The world and the United Nations accuse Saeed of committing atrocities in India and Afghanistan. The UN has him on its reward list of terrorists, but in Pakistan, he is the wealthiest philanthropist alive. His reported running of private courts in Pakistan was forgiven after the man who had sneaked on him was beaten up “mysteriously” inside the Lahore High Court precincts. This "dadagiri" of Hafiz is impossible without a nod and a wink from "Deep State" !
What has been highlighted by a lame-duck PMLN government is the negative consequence of what is called “mainstreaming” by some elements of the state: Instead of de-radicalising the declared terrorists, the process further radicalises society and undermines the power of the state under the Constitution. The “indirect” and “implied” Chinese warning at the BRICS summit in 2017 seems to have been heeded.

Paki Apex Court Puts Nuclear Scientist ( Jinn Energy Fame !) On Hot Seat !

SC wants audit of Rs37m given to scientist Samar Mubarakmand
ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court ordered an audit of Rs37 million given to scientist Dr Samar Mubarakmand for manufacturing heart stents in Pakistan. Headed by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, a bench of the apex court, directed the authorities concerned to ensure that Pakistani stents are manufactured by the month of May at any cost. The bench was hearing a suo motu case related to the sale of substandard stents in the country.
The CJP questioned Dr Samar what became of the stents he had to manufacture and for which he was given Rs37 million.
On being asked by the court where the stents are now, Mubarakmand said out of the Rs350 million, the machine used for manufacturing stents alone cost Rs30 million. The rest were spent on salaries of experts and other expenses, he said. Doubt that the "toothless Supreme Court" can do anything to recover the monies (if embezzled ) or "touch" this "nuclear hero"
The entire technology was later handed over to the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) for producing cardiac stents, he added.
To a question, a federal law officer informed that the amount which was given to the scientist for manufacturing stents was not audited. The apex court had taken a suo motu notice of the sale of substandard cardiac stents at exorbitant rates in Pakistan. It had come to the light that some hospitals were charging up to Rs180, 000 for placing stents in heart patients. Playing with the lives of the Aam Abduls !

Immy Denies That He Is To Blame For The Recent Divorce Of His Now "New" Fiancee !

Political Rivals Sling Mud At Imran Khan's Marriage Plans
Radio Free Europe
As general elections loom in Pakistan, the leader of the country's second-largest party has love on his mind -- and his political rivals are using his googly eyes against him. Cricketer turned politician Imran Khan, a contender to be prime minister depending on the election alliances that form after the July vote, recently announced that he had proposed marriage to his spiritual adviser ( the so-called "Pakpattani Pir" ) and was awaiting her response. ( unconfirmed gossip claims that the marriage is already done !)
Among his critics and rivals, however, the news was not met with joy for Khan and his recently divorced would-be fiancee, Bushra Maneka. Khan's critics took the opportunity to sling mud, questioning the appropriateness of his proposal and suggesting he was a homewrecker. The most vocal and harsh criticism came from senior members of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) Party (PML-N), the archrival of Khan's Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI). "The way [Khan] behaves, no one would even keep him as a security guard, let alone elect him as the prime minister of Pakistan," Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah was quoted as saying by Pakistani media.
"The courts should question his piety and trustworthiness," Sanaullah said. "He is trying to persuade a pious lady and I request the nation to hold him accountable for his actions." PML-N Senator Pervaiz Rasheed warned that "the controversies Mr. Khan is creating with his marriages will badly affect his party." "It is against our cultural values. Mr. Khan's credibility is shattered. The way Mr. Khan separated a settled family is disgusting," Rasheed claimed, alleging that Khan played a role in Maneka's recent divorce. Imran should threaten legal action against Rashid !
Maneka, 50, and her former husband Khawar Farid Maneka, a customs officer, divorced some three months ago after 30 years of marriage. The couple have five children together.
Khan insists his working relationship with Maneka had nothing to do with her divorce. He publicly said he has not even seen Maneka's face, as she was behind a veil when Khan visited Maneka at her family home in Punjab's Pakpattan district to seek spiritual healing."I met Bushra almost two years ago. I will like to reiterate that every time I met her, with family and alone, she has been in purdah," Khan said in a television interview on January 11."My interest in her lies in the fact that I have not seen or met anyone with her level of spirituality," he explained. So, according to this version, the Kaptaan is only smitten with her "spirituality"
Pakistani media initially reported that Khan had married Maneka in a religious ceremony on January 1.PTI dismissed the marriage reports and eventually issued a statement saying that "if and when" Khan's marriage proposal is accepted by Maneka, he would announce it publicly. Imran Khan has a history of keeping his "marital cards/ private life " close to his chest . For instance, many Pakis may not know that he had sired a child- now a full blown adult - outside of marriage!
Surprise backing for Khan came from Maneka's former husband, who told Geo News TV that the PTI leader was not responsible for their divorce. Khawar Maneka praised his ex-wife as a most pious woman and called Khan the noblest person he had ever met.Khan has always considered the Maneka household his spiritual home, he added. In a separate video, one of Maneka's sons confirmed that his parents had separated, but rejected rumors that his mother remarried.Pakistanis are familiar with Khan making headlines. Khan became the cricket-mad nation's darling in the 1992 when he led Pakistan's team to a World Cup triumph, with a victory over England in the final. Khan's fans still affectionately call him Captain.Khan was previously married to British heiress Jemima Goldsmith and then to television journalist Reham Khan. He founded centrist political party PTI in 1996.
Imran married on Muharram 7, kept it secret for two months
ISLAMABAD: PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s ex-wife Reham Khan, who was divorced on their first marriage anniversary, has revealed some interesting facts about his personal and political life. She talked about her marriage and Khan’s third marriage with Bushra Bibi which he still conceals despite disclosure and insists that he had only proposed to her. What’s the myth behind it is beyond her understanding.

Fake Terroristan news

Political communication has a new tool. The new tool is: fake news. The medium: conventional as well as the social media. The users of this new tool are: the government, the opposition and the intelligence agencies. In Pakistan, the conflict among the three is at its peak – and we are in the midst of information warfare. The war is taking place on our TV channels, Facebook, WhatsApp, YouTube, FireChat and Twitter.

This is about fake news and voter behaviour. This is about the power of digital communication. This is the intersection of technology, society and politics. This is about instant communication and political change. This is about technology and political manipulation. This is the intersection of communication, technology and politics. This is about the role of algorithms and political outcomes. This is about digital platforms and political change. Yes, fake news has real-world consequences.

The government spreads fake news to maintain the status quo. The opposition uses fake news to sway political opinion. And the intelligence agencies use fake news to grind their own axe.

We need to understand ‘computational propaganda’ and ‘autonomous agents’. This is politics of ‘algorithms and automation’. We need to understand that, “the bulk of digital communications are no longer between people but between devices, about people, over the Internet of things.” The government, the opposition and the intelligence agencies are using, “technological proxies in the form of proprietary algorithms and semi-automated social actors – political bots – in subtle attempts to manipulate public opinion.”

We need to understand that the government has specific goals. We need to understand that the opposition has specific goals. We need to understand that the intelligence agencies have specific goals. And, they are all using fake news that, “deliberately misrepresents symbols, appealing to emotions and prejudices and bypassing rational thought, to achieve a specific goal…”

The government, the opposition and the intelligence agencies have fielded software soldiers, hackers and computer scientists. These software battalions use “autonomous programmes ….as proxies for political actors, hoping to sway public opinion through the spread of propaganda and misinformation.” Imagine: there are some 7 billion people and around 10 billion mobile digital devices plus some 40 billion stationary devices. This is now about ‘algorithms, automation and social media’.

The government, the opposition and the intelligence agencies are using both established television anchors in-tandem with, “algorithmically driven computer programmes designed to do specific tasks online. Bots make up nearly 50 percent of all online traffic.” The government, the opposition and the intelligence agencies are using fake news for social control. We need to understand that ‘politicised algorithmic systems’ are being used to make us think in a particular way. We need to understand ‘bot-driven propaganda’. We need to understand that our ‘world is now occupied both by humans and bots.’ We need to understand that political bots are running political campaigns and trying to manipulate public opinion.

Yes, the fine line between journalism and fake news is getting blurred. We have always had fake medicines, fake milk, fake sugar and fake chillies. We survived. Welcome to fake news. Fake news has real-world consequences. We will survive but we need to understand as to what is going on.

In 1999, following the coup by former president general retired Pervez Musharraf, Mushahid's house was stormed by soldiers the very same day and he was placed under house arrest and then behind bars. He was released in 2000 following which he defected to PML-Q. Eventually, he contested the 2003 Senate election on a PML-Q ticket and won. He also become a staunch supporter of Musharraf and even agreed with the latter’s decision to not shed his uniform. He successfully contested election for the Parliament’s upper house again in 2012 and is the current chairman of the Senate's Defence Committee and has served as chairman of the Senate’s Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Kashmir and Northern Areas.
Politics makes strange bedfellows

Prediction Comes True ! Chabahar Port lures Afghan traffic away from Karachi
Asia Times
Afghanistan has shifted 80% of its cargo traffic from Pakistan’s Karachi seaport to Iran’s Bandar Abbas and Chabahar ports. The move comes two months after Chabahar, barely 100 kilometers from Pakistan’s Gwadar port, was inaugurated. The shift, prompted in part by a new trade tariff imposed by Islamabad, is expected to greatly reduce Pakistan’s role in the transit of Afghan goods. Two can play the "blackmail game" !
Pakistani business leaders believe that more Afghan trade will eventually shift to the strategic Chabahar Port, as it is Iran’s closest sea link to the Indian Ocean. The first phase of Shahid Beheshti Port in the Sistan-Balochistan province was commissioned last year. It is expected that US$5 billion worth of Afghan trade will be conducted solely through the tripartite Chabahar Port – sponsored jointly by India, Iran, and Afghanistan – once it starts feeding the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC). :D .
In mid-November last year, Afghan Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah was quoted by the media as saying that Afghanistan was no longer dependent on Pakistan for the shipment of goods as it can now use Iran’s Chabahar Port for this purpose.
The government, it seems, is giving top priority to the CPEC projects, diverting all its energy and resources to completing the Chinese-funded development plans. “It is unfortunate that trade under CPEC is facilitated by the government and Afghan transit and bilateral trade is totally ignored,” Sarhadi lamented. As bilateral trade continues to shrink, Pakistan is looking at a looming economic crisis, while the Chabahar Port becomes a lucrative alternative for the Afghans. It is doubtful that the CPEC will be able to plug the gap.

Youtube suspends Pak govt channel
SLAMABAD: Pakistan government's YouTube account was suspended on Friday on charges of copyright infringement after a local vlogger complained that his footage was used without permission. The suspension came after Irfan Junejo, who is popular for his travelogues, registered a complaint with the Google-owned YouTube.
He said footage from one of his travelogues from a northwestern hill station was used by the Pakistan government to promote "family friendly activities in Pakistan".
Junejo said the government had never asked him that his footage would be used. Media quoted Zaigham Abbas, coordinator of government's media cell, as saying that the government gave him credits in the description of the video. "Just giving video credits does not mean you have permission to use the clips," Junejo said.

India orders troops to fire 'countless bullets to retaliate single shot from Pakistan'

A top Indian minister has said he has directed Indian forces to fire countless bullets in retaliation of one bullet that comes from Pakistan’s side, NDTV reported.

“I have given standing orders to our forces to shoot limitless bullets to retaliate a single fire on our territory by the Pakistani forces,” Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said at an election rally in Barjala, Agartala on Saturday.

Blaming Pakistan for the situation in occupied Kashmir, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader said India does “not want to attack Pakistan first”.

He said,, “We want to live with peace and harmony with our all neighbours,” adding, “But most unfortunately, Pakistan is trying to tear down Jammu and Kashmir and continue attacks on our forces and Indian territory.”

Meanwhile, the world will observed Kashmir Solidarity Day on February 5 (tomorrow) to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people who are struggling for their right to self-determination under United Nations (UN) resolutions.

A holiday has been announced in Pakistan, including in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). A one-minute silence will be observed at 10am to honour the Kashmiri martyrs.

Special cultural programmes and festivals will also be held to promote Kashmiri culture and tradition while photographic exhibitions will be arranged depicting the atrocities committed by Indian occupation forces against the Kashmiris.

At the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Pakistani and Sikh communities will hold a demonstration. Former AJK prime minister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry will be the chief guest on the occasion.

Last month, at least three civilians including two women were injured after the Indian security forces resorted to unprovoked firing across the Line of Control (LoC), Pakistan’s military said.

Pakistan has repeatedly condemned increasing ceasefire violations by Indian forces due to which, several civilians have lost their lives.

Islamabad has been urging New Delhi to respect the 2003 ceasefire arrangement, investigate the incidents of ceasefire violations, instruct Indian forces to respect the ceasefire in letter and spirit and maintain peace on the LoC. However, the violation of the truce has still been continuing.

milano Ji :
From the Article you quoted above "Four soldiers killed in Pakistani shelling along LoC in J&K's Rajouri" I have gleaned the following :
The Army was giving a befitting reply as heavy exchanges were on, reported PTI quoting a senior army official.
So the Indian Response is "ON" and I am sure you will agree with me that in response the Pakistani shelling the Indian forces are going ensure that the Terroristani's will suffer a similar number of casualties in their Troops - if not more the - as the Indian Casualties.

Added Later : "You stated they don't seem to have been able to modify Pak behaviour... : Does the Scorpion Stop to Sting, does the Skunk Stop to Stink? That is the Nature of the Terroristani Beasts! After all they are but "Sacrificial Beasts" and are meant to be Slaughtered!

Peregrine-ji - a good catch. When the dust settles, I do agree with you that the #s will bear out a strong retaliation. I am a bit frustrated in that everytime we pummel these idiots, they keep coming back for more and continue these shelling antics. I would have thought we would have reached the "enough's enough" point and that our more muscular posture since Modiji and team came into power would have translated to a discernible change in behaviour over time. I saw your comment about the nature of the scorpion and the skunk - very apt analogy. Sometimes though, you have to crush them under heel at a certain point.

They have only their pathetic paki army's's false mardangi to show to their people.

So, they will and in fact, they have to ratchet up the firing on the border. It's the only play that they have left.

Their economy is in the crapper, their country is badly mismanaged, their people are fed up, the entire world pisses on them and their kind, their iron brother is shafting them and they have no guts to call the hans out on the CPEC trap.

Their afghan policy has completely misfired and the afghan trade is building up via chabahar, something that the pakis did not want but they themselves have made it happen by foolishly imposing higher tariffs on afghan export goods bound for the karachi port. Trump has publicly crapped all over them.

They are going to default on their loan payments come june, unless xerox khan is set free and he sells the eyranians or turkey the paki bomb.

So the paki army has to take the hit in the hope that the paki people unite behind the PA and against India, their eternal enemy.

I foresee a bad time for the long suffering jhadav at around the loan default time in june to divert the attention away from the ignominious default. They will use that to rally the rabble and whip up the usual anti India frenzy, through border attacks and trouble in cashmere.

I sincerely hope to god that I am wrong.

Terroristan has already regressed into a “Theocratic Country-Society”.

Terroristanis are convinced that like the Viet Minh & Viet Cong they can fight a continued war of attrition in Jammu & Kashmir just as the VM & VC defeated the Mighty Ol’ U S A!

It is an erroneous assumption. The USA was not fighting for its own Land like the VM & VC.

The Indian Hindu has nowhere to go! Even Nepal is now a Secular republic and anyway it is too small to give refuge to over 1,000,000,000 yes One Billion Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists, Jews and Zoroastrians.

As such it is not the adage “Truth and Dharma will Prevail”. It is every Indian for Himself-Herself and God for the Rest.

As I have stated earlier Terroristan is a Theocratic Country and the 97% Population being Muslim is under the Muslim Religious Fanatics in Collation with the Armed Forces – mainly the Army – and Landowning Politicians. The Bureaucracy is subservient to the Collation. The Population is totally brainwashed – the Mango Abdul and Burqa Bilqis having a limited Brain - into believing that they have 72 Virgins and 36 Boys waiting for them in Zanat!

Thus the only way for India to defeat Terroristan is a continuous and sustained battle - for our Indians continued Survival - with the followers of the World’s Only Religion of Peace in the Land of the Pure and the Home of the Terrorists.

"Pakistaniyat" In Canada !

Former University of Manitoba Students Wanted for Terrorist Activities
Manitoba Post
WINNIPEG, MB - The RCMP, working in conjunction with Interpol, are looking for these two men, both of whom are wanted on warrants for participation in terrorist activities. The two men wanted by RCMP were both students at the University of Manitoba. They are wanted on Canada wide warrants for terrorist activities.
The first is, Ferid Ahmed Imam who was studying Biochemistry at the University of Manitoba. He was considered to be a well liked and respected member of the community and had no involvement in criminal activity prior to leaving Canada. In March 2007, Imam departed Canada for Pakistan where he became involved as a weapons instructor at a terrorist training camp aligned with Al Qaida. According to RCMP interviews, Imam was positively identified as an Al Qaida weapons instructor using the alias "Yousef". An RCMP witness interview showed that Imam's objective in joining a terrorist organization and obtaining weapons training was to fight and kill NATO soldiers in Afghanistan. He was last seen in the town of Miran Shah, Pakistan.
The next is, Maiwand Yar who was studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Manitoba. In 2007, it is believed that Yar departed Canada with accomplice Ferid Ahmed Imam for Pakistan. According to witnesses, Yar advised that he and Imam were going to ally themselves with the Taliban and attend a terrorist training camp in order to receive instruction on firearms, explosives and guerilla warfare. Their specific objective for joining the Taliban was to fight and kill NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) soldiers in Afghanistan. In a letter sent in 2009, Yar stated that he had in fact spent time in both the Taliban and Al Qaida.
RCMP are telling people not to take any action to apprehend either of these wanted individuals. Report any information you may have to your nearest RCMP detachment, police in your area or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Pashtuns Vent Their Anger Against Pakistan .

Pashtun Spring in Islamabad demands an end to Pashtuns’ genocide
The Pashtun Long March has reached Islamabad and staged a sit-in in front of press club, wanting Justice for Naqeeb Mahsood, full stop to Pashtun genocide in Pakistan, human rights violations in FATA and Pakistan imposed terrorism and militarism, but it was totally blackout by Pakistani media on the pressure of military establishment—an act of discrimination, exposing the freedom of media outlet in Pakistan.
The sit-in is being held following the extrajudicial killing of Naqeebullah Mahsood in a fake police encounter by a notorious police official, Rao Anwar on 13 January in Karachi—capital of Sindh province and he was charged with militancy and links with Jashkar-e-Jhangvi and Islamic State of Syria and Iraq. The false claim was challenged by the family and relatives of Naqeeb Mahsood and subsequently an inquiry commission was established by the government of Sindh province to investigate the police encounter. The investigation team has announced Naqeeb innocent and killed in fake police encounter. Pakistan’s Supreme Court has taken sue-Moto action of the incident, but the notorious police officer, committing extra judicial crimes have been provided a safe haven by the country’s security agencies. He has been openly speaking to media, but not presents in court—another evident of states within the state. Pseudo Pashtun, Imran Khan has expressed token support for the "Long March" !
Youth from Waziristan started a long march from D.I. Khan—southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on January 26 against the ongoing slow motion Pashtun genocide in Pakistan, human rights violations in FATA and State imposed terrorism and militarism. Protesters claimed and loudly chanting slogans that Pakistan’s security agencies have been harboring, sheltering and conducting terrorism in FATA and Afghanistan, aimed at de-Pashtunization and undermining US led war on terror. The long march by the youth of Waziristan was warmly welcomed in Lakki Marwat, Bannu, Kohat, Peshawar, Charsadda, Mardan and Sawabi districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where a large number of Pashtuns joined the protest and entered Islamabad on Thursday where sit-in continues.
According to an organizer of the protest, the sit-in is composed on more than 10,000 Pashtuns, comprising Pashtuns from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Addressing the sit-in, ANP Central leader Bushra Gohar demanded immediate arrest of the police officer, Rao Anwar and called on security establishment of Pakistan to shun its project of terrorism and put an end to the ongoing state sponsored terrorism and Pashtun genocide. “Blackout by media of today’s huge gathering of Pashtuns in front of Press Club in Islamabad, demanding justice for Naqeeb and end to State atrocities in FATA, has proved beyond doubt, freedom of media in Pakistan is a myth, a lie,” the well-known Pashtun nationalist Bushra Gohar, the former member of Pakistan’s National parliament Twitted.
Moreover, the head of Pakhtunkhwa Wolesi Tahreek Dr. Said Alam Mahsood in his address to the historic Pashtun procession in Islamabad said, “Our sit-in will continue until we find justice for Naqeeb and favorable solutions to other problems of Pashtuns, posed by the State of Pakistan.” Additionally, another young leader Abdul Hai Wazir said the national enemy of Pashtuns is known and that is the military establishment of Pakistan. He urged the Pashtuns in FATA and Pakistan to firmly stand against the ongoing state sponsored terrorism in Pakistan, resulting in Pashtun genocide and human rights violations. “Pashtun genocide in Pakistan will continue, as long as Pashtuns not firmly stand to confront the disputed state of Pakistan,” he added.
Moreover, a number of tribal elders from Waziristan also addressed the procession and said Pakistan’s security forces have been planted landmines and toy bombs in the area, taking lives of children and animals. They called on the United Nations and US led international community to take immediate notice of Pakistan sponsored terrorism, human rights violations and slow motion Pashtun genocide in FATA. The tribal elders claimed Pakistan still pursuing the policy of lies and deceit in war on terror, adding good Taliban have been enjoying safe havens, training and fundraising centers in big cities of the country, while the security forces brutalizing the innocent Pashtuns across the FATA, especially Waziristan in order to deceive the international community. Based on Pakistan’s failure in running the business of FATA, the Pashtun elders called on Islamabad to withdraw its civil and military administration from FATA and demanded installation of United Nations led administration in the area and a representative Jirga of FATA to be held under the umbrella of United Nations to decide fate of FATA and to win war on terror. Separately, hundreds of hundred Pashtuns from Khyber Agency of FATA gathered on the same day near Torkham crossing-point and held a big demonstration against the security forces of Pakistan and called on it to leave the area.. Basically, a civil war like situation exists in FATA It seems that the Pakjabi dominated Govt of Pakistan has not learned a lesson from the 1971 Bangladesh War Of Liberation !
The protesters said Pakistan’s security forces have been slaughtering innocent Pashtuns in FATA in order to deceive the international community, adding Pakistan and terrorists are the two sides of the same coin. According to a number of analysts, Pashtun, Bloch and Sindhi springs in Pakistan is the need of the hour to pave way for liberating the suppressed nations in Pakistan and to force the country to abandon its project of terrorism. However, the United Nations and other worldwide humanitarian organization, including the Malala Yousafzai (Noble Prize) have been tight lipped over Pakistan sponsored terrorism, atrocities of Pakistan military and human rights violations in FATA.

Father pardons man he saw rape his 17-year-old hearing-impaired daughter
A 17-year-old hearing impaired girl's father on Thursday pardoned her rapist in a Gujjar Khan sessions court.
Ahmad also said that he had registered the complaint against the suspect by mistake and now wanted to withdraw it.
the 17-year-old hearing impaired girl was crying in court while her father pardoned the suspect.
Ahmad said that he was made to sign the affidavit by "influential elders" of the area and did not even know what was written in it.

From the land of the weirdos, this is more than just run of the mill weird.

Pakistan make bizarre excuse for loss to India in U-19 Cricket World Cup 2018
Pakistan under-19 cricket team manager Nadeem Khan on Sunday said the way his side lost to eventual champions India in the World Cup semi-finals, it looked like they were under some spell.
...one wonder if there was a magic spell on the team
“It appeared as if our batsmen had no idea what was happening out on the field or how to tackle the situation and pressure.”

India may target CPEC installations, interior ministry tells GB
The Ministry of Interior has informed the Gilgit-Baltistan’s home department that India has made a plan to attack the installations of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in a bid to sabotage the multi-billion mega project.
the department had received a letter from the federal interior ministry recently in which it had warned of possible terrorist attacks on the CPEC route.
India had sent 400 Muslim youngsters to Afghanistan for receiving training to be able to carry out attacks on the CEPC installations, including bridges at Karakoram Highway (KKH) and other important points on the CPEC route.
In January last year, the GB police had claimed to have foiled a plan allegedly sponsored by Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) to sabotage projects related to CPEC and generate anti-Pakistan feelings in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Action will speak for itself: Army on Pakistan's killing 4 soldiers in J&K
NEW DELHI: The Army said today that "it goes without saying" it will retaliate against Pakistan's ceasefire violations yesterday and when it does, "action will speak for itself", reported ANI.
"That (retaliation) goes without saying, I think I don't have to say that. Action will speak for itself," said Sarath Chand, Vice Chief of Army Staff, on the Pakistani aggression of yesterday, in which four soldiers were killed in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri sector.

An Army officer was among four soldiers killed in cross-border shelling by Pakistani troops in Jammu's Rajouri district yesterday evening. Two others were injured. Captain Kapil Kundu was the second Army officer to have died in Pakistani fire in the last 40 days.
Minister of state for home affairs Hansraj Ahir also said Pakistan's actions "will not be forgiven" and will prove costly for them.

"We will not forgive Pakistan's actions. It will prove to be Pakistan's foolishness and will cost them dearly," said Ahir.
Pakistani forces yesterday also violated the ceasefire in the Sunderbani area, injuring a BSF assistant sub-inspector. Earlier in the day, two teenagers and a jawan were injured in the Shahpur sector of Poonch district in shelling from across the border.

Official sources said the Pakistani army opened unprovoked fire on the Army's 15 J&K Light Infantry posts in the Bhimber Gali sector on Sunday. "The Indian Army retaliated strongly and effectively, and heavy damage has been inflicted on Pakistani posts," an Army spokesperson said, vowing "a befitting response".
