how are the naxals able to get INSAS rifles and FN FAL SLRs? some might be from ambushes but do they have assets in OFBs and police depots to steal weapons and ammo?

from days of pipe guns and country pistols these days everyone seems to be packing a assault rifle full auto mode. makes it easy for well planned ambushes to let loose a hailstorm of lead and cause a lot of KIA.

How Farooq Takla, Dawood Ibrahim's aide, was brought back to India and arrested.

Farooq Takla, an aide of fugitive underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, was on Thursday arrested in the national capital by the CBI for his alleged involvement in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts.

Takla arrived in New Delhi from Dubai and was arrested by the CBI when he was at an immigration counter at the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

It is said that he was deported from the UAE with the help of central intelligence agencies and put on a flight to Delhi.

Takla has been sent to police custody till March 19, 2018, by TADA court in Mumbai.

Following are some of the details of how he was brought to India:

- Takla is twin brother of Amjad Langda who resides in Mumbai. He was also an accused in 93 blast case but acquitted due to lack of evidence. Langda's daughter got married in April 2017. Later a party was held in Dubai which was attended by Dawood' s relatives and family members of Taqla as well.

- As per photographs of the wedding accessed by Zee Media, Alishah Parkar (Dawood's nephew, son of Haseena Parkar) also attended the wedding.

- The high profile party attended by so many key contacts of the underworld don made the Indian intelligence agency swing into action. As per Zee Media sources, the few calls intercepted by the investigative agencies resulted in the identification of Takla in a new role, living in UAE with a changed identity.

- Since then he was under continuous surveillance by the agency.

- Top bosses of the intelligence agencies were informed. Sources say that NSA Ajit Doval was given the task to bring Takla back to the couuntry by the PMO.

- On July 27, 2017, the UAE ministry of interior’s director general of security affairs informed via Interpol (through IP message No 112220-2/62/IP/16378/10794) about the extradition of Takla. However, it is not known when he was detained/arrested by the UAE authorities.

- On August 8, 2017, the CBI got a non-bailable warrant issued from TADA court in Mumbai against Takla (number 0/w20072/17). It was sent to UAE along with red corner notice (number A-385/7-1995), which was issued by Interpol in Lyons (France) .

- On August 22, 2017, the Government of India made a formal extradition request to the UAE.

- According to Zee Media sources, Dawood, who is said to still enjoy a considerable clout in the UAE royal circles, swung into action and takla’s Pakistani passport was given to UAE authorities claiming that he was a Pakistani national.

- The UAE reportedly became hesitant to handover Takla to Indian authorities, resulting in unexplained delay and zero-movement from their said.

- Then came Prime Minister Narendra Modi's tour of Abu Dhabi from Jordan on the second leg of his three-nation tour in Februray 2018. PM Modi was received by Mohammed Bin Zayed and other members of the Royal family at the airport.

- It is said that PM Modi and his team held wide-ranging talks with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his team over the issue of Takla among other things.

- Doval was also part of the team and he held a separate talk with Lt General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan of UAE on the matter. An nformal request was made to expedite the extradition in these talks.

- Agency sources attribute success to efforts of PM Modi and Ajit Doval in foreiging security alliances with countries they visit.

But it's never cited as an example of 'intolerance'. And the follow up is terrible. A BJP district president, who was also a physician, was gunned down in Madurai a few years ago. Have the killers been caught? Who are the killers, what is the motive? What's wrong with the Indian media?

The BSF like "sickness" has permeated into other areas as well.

INSAS ammo is freely sold by some connected folks when they come on leave and I have ben hearing of this for a very long time now, especially in rural areas where weapons of this calibre are not carefully monitored.

Father of BJP leader beheaded by alleged RJD supporters for naming village square after PM Modi

The father of BJP leader Tej Narayan was beheaded by a 20-25 strong mob on Thursday night, over a prevailing dispute regarding a village square named after PM Modi. This incident was reported from the Bhadha village in Bihar’s Darbhanga region.

As per the report, the village square was named after PM Modi about fifteen months back. This had angered a section of the population who wished to rename it after RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav. The matter kept escalating and resulted in bike laden goons beheading the father Ramchand Yadav.

Watched an interview of Mush where he was asked for his opinion of MMS. He obviously spoke well of him referring to his peacenik nature blah. He said one of the proposals under MMS to give greater autonomy to Kashmir as related by Omar Abdullah was to set up a separate supreme court and election commission for Kashmir.

Registration of more than 14000 Non GovernmentalOrganisations (NGOs) have been cancelled during the last four years under The Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010. The institution/state-wise details are available on the website http://www.fcraonline.nic.in of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The complaints received in this regard from the Non GovernmentalOrganisation (NGOs) are examined and redressed in this Ministry as per the provisions of the FCRA, 2010 and the Rules made there under.

This was stated by the Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri KirenRijiju in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha today.

A Muslim growth rate which is far greater than the Hindu one, Rohingyas coming in as they are, Bangladeshis migrating illegally etc - it won't be long (perhaps another 30 or 40 years?) until WB is a Muslim majority state and the security implications of that are frightening.

Pak diplomat in ‘Wanted’ list: NIA explains horrific destroy south India plot (Newsroom)

An NIA source said that his crimes were horrific and had it gone through, the destruction in South India would have been unimaginable. The source also goes on to add that in the history of the organisation, this is one of the most significant cases it has cracked. The entire modus operandi being worked on for the six long years and that too from the Pakistan High Commission in Colombo, Sri-Lanka was aimed at destroying South India, the source also said.

The plot according to the NIA was multi-fold. It involved setting up multiple modules in South India. Further, it also involved a massive radicalisation programme in all the southern states. Thirdly it involved the destruction of naval bases and harbours in South India and one at Mumbai.

The plot was so driven by the Pakistan establishment that Siddiqui had the support of three army officials from Pakistan. The entire operation being run from the high commission was under the direct monitoring of the Pakistan army.

What is even more ironic is that Siddiqui along with one army officer had visited India several times and met with the terrorists that they had recruited. Investigations showed that the Siddiqui also known as ‘boss’ had visited Trichy and Thiruvananthapuram and conducted meetings. The meetings were conducted to seek updates on the plan. They would also advise their recruits on how to go about the job. The army officer was instrumental in training them on how to gather logistics.

In one of the meetings, the accused persons handed over sensitive defense information to Siddiqui and the army officer. These included maps, photographs and other logistic details of an Air Force Station in Chennai, a naval base in Mumbai and the harbours across southern India. The officer was happy with the information and had said that a green signal to carry out a series of strikes would be given.

The entire operation according to the NIA was planned between 2008 and 2014. However in the later part of 2014, the plot was busted when a Sri Lankan Muslim was arrested in Tamil Nadu. This led to the plot being busted. Sensing trouble, Siddiqui was immediately air lifted from Sri Lanka and flown into Pakistan.

How illegal Bangladeshis entering India from porous borders are keeping Maharashtra ATS on toes.

In March, Nazrul Shaikh (name changed to protect identity) was picked up by the Navi Mumbai unit of the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS). It didn’t come as a surprise to Shaikh, who works as a labourer and lives in the outskirts of Mumbai. Although he blends in the crowd and has made his home in India, Shaikh is a Bangladeshi.

Between January and April of 2018, 29 Bangladeshis have been arrested by the ATS for staying illegally in Maharashtra. Of these, three are suspected of having connections to the Islamic extremist organization Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT), which is believed to be responsible for the deaths of five prominent bloggers in Bangladesh. Colloquially known as Ansar Bangla, ABT is ‘inspired by’ al Qaeda and banned in Bangladesh.

There are suspicions that ABT has set up sleeper cells in India. In August 2017, the Uttar Pradesh ATS arrested Abdullah al-Mamon, a member of ABT, in Muzzaffarnagar. He told the ATS that his job was to organize fake identification documents, like Aadhar, for ABT members when they came across the border.

Closer home in Maharashtra, the hunt for ABT operatives has taken ATS to different parts of Pune, Panvel, Kharghar, Ambarnath, Raigad and Mumbai. At least five of the 29 Bangladeshi nationals arrested in 2018 are believed to have ties to ABT. There are other suspects who have not been arrested, but are under surveillance.

It’s difficult to identify these terror suspects because not only do they blend in easily with Indians in different parts of the country, but they also have paperwork, like Aadhar and ration cards, which effectively makes them Indian citizens.

A Kolkata-based agent who helps Bangladeshis illegally migrate to India told Hindustan Times that most of these middlemen are originally from across the border, having come to India a few decades ago. They carry legitimate Aadhar cards and other identification documents, even passports, but maintain ties with Bangladesh.

The business of ‘helping’ people go back and forth is a profitable one. The stream is steady and according to him, most Bangladeshi migrants would try to go home once a year, ensuring regular income for middlemen. “Each migrant is charged somewhere between Rs500-Rs1,000 at villages adjoining the border in Assam by the Border Security Force personnel,” claimed the agent. The total cost of crossing the border can be anywhere between Rs5,000 and Rs8,000.

The experienced ones have a “setting” with the security forces patrolling the border, said the agent. He said most crossings take place at night. Some parts of the India-Bangladesh border have electrified fences and if the stationed officers are ‘cooperative’, these will be switched off at particular times to let illegal migrants leave one country and enter another.

“Migrants either enter from Murshidabad, a district close to the Bangladesh border in West Bengal, or from the creek in Assam,” the agent told HT. “Border forces from both the sides help the migrants who pay the amount to their agents. We make money by doing illegal activity but there is something which even bothers us, that is exploitation of women who cross the border by the people who have the authoritative power.”

On Indian soil, the Bangladeshis will be handed over to another agent – “with good contacts in the railway” – who takes the group to Howrah railway station. “Once the group gets on the train, they meet another agent who has a valid identification card as all the reserved tickets are on that ID. They are then handed over to the agents at their destination, mostly Delhi and Mumbai, who eventually get work for them,” said the agent.

It’s a well-oiled process, made smooth by the collusion of border security forces on both sides and middlemen. In 2016, the Union minister of state for home affairs said there were approximately two crore illegal Bangladeshi migrants in India. Officials are tight-lipped about what kind of threat ABT actually poses in India but from the crackdown on illegal migrants in Maharashtra, it is clear that the ATS isn’t taking ABT lightly.

Caught in the crosshairs of investigators and middlemen are poor people like Shaikh, who technically should be deported to Bangladesh but are now rooted in India. Shaikh is in his mid-thirties and has lived in Mumbai for more than 15 years now. He’s married to an Indian and has four children. He came to India as a child when his family crossed the porous border to make a new life for themselves in West Bengal and has only been back once. “I crossed the border 10 years ago by paying Rs3,000 for one side to an old woman who had her farms on both sides of the border,” he said.

Like many of the labourers who were rounded up, Shaikh was let go after interrogation, when the ATS was convinced he knew nothing about the ABT. They had, however, kept his phone. He didn’t mind. They can keep his phone so long as he can go back to the 10x10 feet shanty outside Mumbai that he calls home.

NEW DELHI - India has sought extradition for preacher Zakir Naik from Malaysia on Saturday.
The external affairs ministry has requested Malaysian authorities for Naik's extradition after collating evidence and filing a charge sheet, the Times of India <link> reported.

Naik is accused of inciting the youth to engage in militant acts. He is currently seeking refuge in Malaysia where he has been given permanent residency.In a charge sheet filed on October 26, 2017, India's NIA found that Naik allegedly insulted various religions. Malaysia, at present a so-called moderate Islamic country is under pressure to become "more Islamic " and is enacting more and more pro- Islamic Laws based on Sharia . So, it is doubtful that it will "give up" Naik , at least IMO .

His speeches also incited audiences to join Daesh. Recordings of his inflammatory speeches will be shared with prosecutors once the extradition case comes up for hearing. A Malaysian court is likely to hear India's request. It is a good starting point that at least Malaysia has agreed to listen to "India's story"

Islamic Preacher Zakir Naik gets yet another blow

NEW DELHI - The Allahabad high court on Wednesday dismissed a petition filed by Islamic preacher Zakir Naik challenging the 2010 order of a local court in Jhansi, which summoned him on several charges, including waging war against the state, and the subsequent order of a non-bailable warrant against him.The interim order earlier granted in his favour now stands vacated with the dismissal of the petition.

Justice Amar Singh Chauhan had reserved the judgement on March 28, 2018, on the petition filed by Naik, president of Islamic Research Foundation.
A person called Mudassir Ullah Khan had filed a complaint on January 9, 2008, before the chief judicial magistrate X in Jhansi alleging that Naik had allegedly hurt the religious sentiments of a particular community in a television programme telecast on January 21, 2006.

Khan said that Naik had published and distributed a pamphlet to incite hatred and ill will among different communities.The judicial magistrate summoned Naik on April 30, 2010, before the court for waging war against the state and other sections of Indian Penal Code and issued a non-bailable warrant against him. A person can be punished with death or life imprisonment for waging a war against the government of India or attempting to wage such war or abetting it.

Naik’s plea was that he is president of an organisation that clarifies Islamic viewpoints and clears misconceptions about Islam and the allegations against him were baseless. While his ("ambulance chasing") Indian lawyers are trying to save his skin ( and his money ) Zakir's best bet is to get secretly in touch with Paki authorities, and see if they can grant him assylum there. He will be welcomed with open arms . Another "Dawood Ebrahim" that will be used by Pakistan against India

He is better off outside India than back in India. Even if he is convicted he is going to get a only a few years of jail and will be back in business. No point in bringing him back. There are actual terrorists holed up in places like UK who need to be brought back.

Tension is mounting in Assam over granting citizenship rights to Hindu Bdeshi illegal immigrants. My estimate the number will be at least 2 million in Assam. I don't think it is a good idea to give citizenship to minorities from Bdesh, Pak, etc unless religious persecution can be proven as it will lower the barrier for further migration and ethnic cleansing. The citizenship act should be modified where the person seeking asylum has to appear before a tribunal and prove religious persecution. Situation in Bdesh while not terrific is not as bad as will require migration of millions of Hindus. Instead a pro-Hindu govt should be able to put enough pressure on Bdesh govt to ensure safety of Hindus. The rest of the article about barring other Indians from settling in Assam among other things cannot be supported.

Two Kashmiri youths, who are believed to be a part of a group of website hackers targeting websites of India, have been arrested from two separate places in Punjab.

Several Indian intelligence agencies, including a unit of military intelligence, were tracking these youth in the past few months. They were allegedly part of a hacking group called ‘Team Hackers Third Eye’ which claimed to have hacked more than 500 Indian websites.

The arrests were made on Thursday night by a raiding party which consisted of teams from Delhi.

Shahid Malla, who hails from Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, was nabbed from Rajpura while Adil Hussain Teli, who hails from Anantnag, was nabbed from Jalandhar.

Both are students in private colleges. In Jalandhar, the youth was picked up from a paying guest accommodation.

Sources said during April and May last year they were also involved in educating Kashmiri youth to bypass state-imposed ban on social media sites by use of ‘VPN’ (virtual private network).

The two were found to be in touch with several Pakistan-based anti-Indian hackers. The posts made by the duo were found to “anti-India”.

Laptops, mobile phones, SIM cards, internet dongles and memory devices recovered from them will be examined by the Delhi Police.

From height of rocks to exits, how GPS mapping gave forces the edge

When Gadchiroli police mapped the Kasnasur-Boriya forest about a month ago as part of an exercise, little did they realise that their knowledge of the lay of the land would give them the advantage in a firefight.

“The commandos knew all escape routes and details, down to the height of each rock and the depth of the Indravati. We plugged all exit routes by the time the rebel cadres realised they were surrounded,” said Gadchiroli superintendent of police Abhinav Deshmukh. The mapping enabled forces to act quickly on a tip-off, move into the forest, and engage with Maoists, killing more than 30 in a three-hour gun battle.

“The topography was studied meticulously using GPS and incorporating maximum local geographic information,” said Deshmukh. The information was shared with everyone from commander to constable at the new C60 training centre.

On April 21, two parties of C-60 commandos of the Gadchiroli police left their headquarters in Aheri and headed towards Bhamragarh, following a tip about a gathering of Maoists.

The NRC Assam deadline of May 31 is approaching. Expect pressure on India to do nothing to mount and legal challenges in courts. Already comparisons with Rakhine/Rohingyas are being made. Once the illegal population is identified govt should swiftly delete their names from electoral rolls, create a biometric database of illegals so that they don't disappear to other parts of India and then move them to detention camps pending deportation.

Rather the question is do Modi-Doval-Rajnath have a plan. I believe they do unless they embarked on this massive project without a plan and then look stupid.
