As they say, "Take a number, it's gonna be a looong summer" for all the people who can take credit for this. Blowback from Yemen disaster? Blowback from Syria disaster? Blowback from Iraq disaster? Blowback from allowing wimmens to drive? Blowback from OrangeUtan for raising oil prices? (I don't see that one: don't Orangeutan's buddies stand to make more $B if oil goes up?) Or just fraternal love from his dozens of coujins?

As always, UBCN carries only the best conspiracy theories.
“There may be an accidental drone or part of the area’s footage to help the attackers, but the shooting has nothing to do with it,” said another eyewitness with over 2 million Twitter followers. “It was an exchange of fire from two sides that took almost a whole hour.”

What happened last night in Saudi Arabia seems a coup attempt….not a drone shotdown. There is total media blackout…no one from the western embassies, media is allowed on streets as well. Saudi govt is silent….reports of vehicles with heavy weapons on streets…
So we wait!

— Zaid Hamid (@ZaidZamanHamid) April 22, 2018
“What happened last night in Saudi Arabia seems a coup attempt… not a drone shotdown [sic]. There is total media blackout…” said Zaid Hamid, a Pakistani National Security analyst.

Official Saudi gov press statement says a small drone was shot down by authorities and that an investigation is underway. It remains unclear why such heavy gunfire was used to shoot down a toy drone. This statement leaves more questions than answers. https://t.co/4oCEpIOMSz
— Daniel Medina (@dmedin11) April 21, 2018

“Official Saudi gov press statement says a small drone was shot down by authorities and that an investigation is underway,” said Daniel Media, a Guardian reporter. “It remains unclear why such heavy gunfire was used to shoot down a toy drone. This statement leaves more questions than answers.”

The link to the Tweet from the Saudi Government’s official account posted by Medina is no longer active, meaning that most likely the Tweet has been deleted.

According to multiple reports, both King and Prince Salman were evacuated to a bunker where they remained under the protection of U.S. Troops. Still others reported that the King was not present at the palace when the attack took place.

Quick pooch for the experts here: What happens if tomorrow's news says regime has been overthrown, new Mahdi is in place with Islamic Democratic Republic of Arabia declared?
1. All oil installations nationalized
2. All foreign company assets frozen until Saudi assets in western countries are released to the new govt.
3. All foreigners banned from leaving until their governments extradite elements of the previous regime.
4. Marital Shariah Law in force.

Reactions in market?
Worldwide reactions?

Just as pointer, back in the mid-1970s, the Eyeran of The Great Emperor Shah-in-Shah Reza Pahlavi was unquestionable (unless you wanted to rot in his torture cells) Leader Of the Islamic Dunia. KSA was basically an oil exploration site run by dolts under ARAMCO. The Gelf was all powerless desert run by westerners with the locals sweeping the floors in competition with imported labor. Iran was racing towards SuperPower status. Aircraft carrier IIRC, a fleet of F-14s (why F-14s not F-16s if there was no aircraft carrier?) Teheran was a super-posh Western-Style capital. Iran was flush with cash, most "modern" of Ayrab countries. Israel considered Iran to be as friendly an Ally as they had, while KSA etc were their sworn enemies.

The Ayatollah Khomeini, exiled by the Moderate Secular Shah, was living in Paris. Quiet. Studious. Trying his best to read the garbage put out by Salman Rushdie. Trying to stay alive and not remind the SAVAK where he was living.

************************

Even in early 2000s I remember an Israeli ex-Army Tank-Driver (most are) educating me: "U know, the way you regard Pakistan, is the way we regard Saudi Arabia. The worst enemy, the source of all terrorism. We think they are faaar more dangerous than Pakistan."

Anyone note the resemblance? The Great Wheel of Asoka has turned a bit since then. Todin, KSA is most allied with Israel... the Sheikh Bin Salman, Modern Moderate Beheader, quickly becoming Supreme Ruler of the (Sunni) Islamic Dunia.....

Waiting in the shadows somewhere is The Mahdi. Maybe this one is in Somalia. Or Sudan. Or the good ol' US of A, most probably.

Smells. If she really wanted to claim asylum in the US, why not find a US embassy/consulate somewhere in the Gelf? Why try this convoluted way? OK, I guess airports and Embassy Gates are watched with heavy security. But the assumption that she could enter India illegally by sea is a bit strange, and reflects only the UAE connection with smugglers and terrorists. The other thing is the presence of the Frogistani Agint on board. So why not a run for the French Embassy or one of the vast number of French frogates and Rafails in the Gelf trying to see why their mijjiles are not rising?

Seems a MAJOR miscalculation by her advisors, or a backstab. Either way now they "have the goods on her" to keep her in jail.

There's more to this story than the Bijnej Ishtandard claims.

I did, thank you very much. 30 brothers and sisters? If The Shaikh has brought that much life into the Dunia, isn't he entitled to take a few lives too, hain? hain? He does seem to have some very interesting betis. Sister in jail surrounded by psychiatric nurses with hypodermics, this one, Peace Be Upon Her, seems equally well-balanced. This is the price that the Royalty pay for their Terawealth? Their children are paying for the pain that they inflict on the thousands who slave every day to build up their wealth.
They seem to know that Daddy murders people, but beyond that they have little awareness of anything. Wonderful regard for Daddy-O.
But ultimately their main complaint is that they are not allowed to drive or go around alone on their shopping jaunts. Why the regime would put them in jail etc is beyond me.
My pooch is that she certainly looks over 9, why has she not been married off?

The girl is practically a minor. Talks up a storm in British-ejjikated angreji, but sense-wise zero. Brought up in a harem, no sense that privilege comes with responsibility.

Look at from outside and ignore the big eyes and sad expression etc and look at the facts:
1. She and her zillion siblings are brought up in utter luxury, but that is because they are part of a Royal Family. Yes, they have to care about Appearance and Reputation because they sure ain't where they are on merit. Same value as a prize heifer in the value system of the Gelf, several steps below a pet goat. She has this grand sense of "Phreedom" - from responsibility.

2. Her sibling who was shipped to Bilayat School, ran away, (she didn't say WITH whom, which is probably quite relevant). She was an idiot who ignored very clear warnings that phones were bugged on the home end - what did they expect when she ran away - that parents would do nothing? So she got caught, "drugged" per Latifa's account and put on a plane back to Gelf. And they put her in the cooler until she would at least claim to have returned to her senses.

3. Those who kept giving her cellphones, allowing her to send a stinker article to her boy-friend the gold-digger at the Guardian, got slapped around a bit. Any really tough ruler would have had the boy-friend also brought in and "converted" to a treble singer.

4. Now she (Latifa) runs away per her claim, with no passport and not a **** clue about the fact that a "Border" is not something at the knee end of her skirt. Of course she got caught and brought back and put in a, well... gentle reminder of what a jail looks like in her fine Kingdom. She claims that even her Mother told her that what she experienced was far worse than what a real jail would be if she pulled any such stunt again. Obviously the parents are terrified.

5. She gets out. How old is she now? I think still <18. Hooks up with this French gold-digger, records a video obviously at his flat (the curtains are not nearly expensive enough to be at her Palace) and sails off on a YACHT (for cryin' out loud!) in a leisurely sail across the Pakistan Ocean towards Goa. If it were a serious escape it should have been in a dhow.

6. Of course law enforcement was contacted and asked for help to bring her and her foreigner gold-digger back. In most countries Le Frog would be behind bars facing life in prison for kidnapping. In the rest he would be castrated and then beheaded. Dubai released him under "pressure" from Le Frogs.

7. India had no choice here. When a minor or obviously depressed/mentally unstable child runs away and is believed to be on the ocean on a yacht with an older gold-digger, the parents call international law enforcement and seek help to capture the kidnapper and get her returned SAFELY. A super job done by Indian Navy/Coast Guard, ending the event with no violence (LOVED the part about the black-masks and laser-pointed machine guns). Listen to her rant about the "Of course there is no way that I am going be brought back alive" and you realize why the end of the kidnapping was so well-executed.

8. The other thing about that video is that OBVIOUSLY there is someone behind the camera giving instructions. Must be the kidnapper the gold-digging Frenchie. Dubai should DEMAND that France prosecute him and hopefully extradite him back to Dubai for his de-golaing and be-heading.

Listening to her sad story it is clearly a case of indiscipline by a brat. We can argue whether her (claimed) punishments so far fit her indiscretions, but look at it from her daddy's pov for a moment: how does he explain to His Boss the behavior of his herd? He 's 1 step away from losing HIS head just because his darling beti wants to be allowed to drive. To me the video looked like a Patricia Hearst Syndrome recording done at knifepoint.

As for her allegations about How Bad My Dad Is, I am just glad Dubai is not ruled by her and her Frenchie gold-digger. For anyone who has dealt with people of certain categories, the tactic of throwing mud with absolutely no sense of fairness, and sounding so wide-eyed innocent while doing it, is very familiar.

The point is that her Dad has/had not had her or her sister beheaded - yet. I would have been strongly tempted to do so based on their behavior. So would most parents. This go-round, the Sultan may very well give the order Himself.

Oh wait! This is serious. She's not 16. She is THIRTY-TWO!!!!!!!!!! (And not married off??? ) There's definitely more here than meets the eye.
Missing Dubai princess Latifa 'brought back' after attempted escape
#GCC
Latifa, 32, was allegedly seized from a ship off India after appearing on a YouTube video announcing her escape
From Wikepedia:
Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (Arabic: شيخة لطيفة بنت محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم) (aka Sheikha Latifa Mohammed Rashed Almaktoum, b. 1985) is a UAE princess and a member of Dubai royal family. She is the daughter of the Ruler of Dubai and Prime Minister of UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Huriah Ahmed Al M'aash[1][2] from Algeria. Sheikha Latifa has two half-sisters with same name (one older and one younger).[citation needed] She is the full sister of Sheikha Maitha (1980), Sheikha Shamsa (1981),[3][4] Sheikh Majid (1987).[5]
And now (drumbeat!!) comes the desi connection:
Radha Stirling, founder of Detained in Dubai, said she was now gravely concerned for the princess's safety.

She said in the letter to Scotland Yard: 'We have taken advice from several barristers, legal professionals and human rights charities about the matter, to ensure we act in an appropriate manner.

'We are gravely concerned about retaliation by the person or persons from whom the missing persons were fleeing when they went missing. '

Stirling said in the last voice mail she received Latifa sounded terrified.

She said: 'She appeared to be highly distressed and in a state of panic. She said 'Radha please help me, there are men outside' and that she had heard 'gunshots'.

'She said she was hiding in the bathroom, which I assumed to mean onboard the boat, with her (unidentified) 'friend'. I requested that she make voice recordings and videos and send as much information as she could.

'However, I received no response after this and only saw that she had been online intermittently for a few minutes after the call. I typed further questions but they remain unseen.'

Latifa is believed to be with a former French spy, who has a history of helping people leave Dubai on his US registered yacht.. {As someone pointed out, the bugger seemed to be using the same map source as Chris Columbo.}

{They search him here, they search him there, they find him on his own stupid yacht, Le Scarlette Pimp-e-Nel Clouseau de Paris}

He told Detained in Dubai he was with Latifa and expressed his fear they would be intercepted.

Latifa, who gives her date of birth as December 5th 1985, says she decided to flee the country after seeing how her elder sister attempted to escape in 2001. Shamsa al Maktoum was 18 years old when she allegedly went missing from the fabulously wealthy Surrey estate where the Maktoum family lived, according to reports at the time.

Latifa said her sister had wanted to break free and was 'on the run' for two months. A news report from 2001 said police launched an investigation into her alleged abduction from a street in Cambridge after being contacted by a solicitor acting for the teenager.

The police investigation was eventually closed down. Latifa said she wanted to get help for her sister and in June 2002 she attempted to flee from Dubai but only got as far as the Oman border when she was detained. She claimed she was brought back to Dubai against her will.

Fearing ban on Telegram app: Iranians are spreading protests by writing slogans on currency notes http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-43942604
protests have entered slow burn crisis phase.
A group of Iranian Twitter users are spreading protest messages by writing slogans on banknotes.

"Banknotes are our un-censorable messengers," one user wrote, referring to a rumoured plan to permanently block the popular messaging app Telegram, which is by far the most popular digital communication tool in Iran.

Slogans included "I am an overthrower".

Some of the sayings were originally chanted during mass anti-establishment protests at the turn of the year.

In late December, demonstrators took to the streets then to express their dissatisfaction with the social and economic situation in the country.

Telegram was believed to have been the main platform people used to obtain and share information about the protests, which took place across Iran from late December 2017 to January 2018.

Mohamed Bin Salman ( MBS ) Seeking Hollywood ( And Jewish !) Help To "Update And Adjust" Saudi Arabia's "Conservative Islamic Image "

Saudi Arabia launches $34.7 billion entertainment revolution
Riyadh: After repealing a decades-long ban on cinemas only last year, Saudi Arabia has now launched an ambitious drive to become a culture and entertainment hub as part of sweeping modernisation plans.American film star Katie Holmes and British actor-cum-director Idris Elba rubbed shoulders with Saudi officials, as the conservative kingdom on Thursday night kicked. off an initiative to invest 130 billion riyals ($34.7 billion, 29 billion euros) in culture and leisure by 2020. War in Yemen, Arms and Plane purchases from Massa, "giving away money" to Pakistan, where is the additional $ 34.7 BILLION US DOLLARS , is going to come from . The Saudis are well known for their "notorious" "cheque is in the mail" story !!!
The goal is to create "a true cultural industry, with theatres, cinemas and training centres," said Ahmad al-Mazid, who leads culture policy for Saudi Arabia.Key projects include 16 entertainment complexes, an aquatic centre and three other huge leisure hubs -- all part of a bid to ensure three Saudi cities make it into the global top 100 for quality of life. As so happens with similar "such projects" , they join the "White Elephant" category and gather dust in the sand, if they ever get completed. Someone is surely going to make lots of money from this new " area of spending" . Lots of Saudi Princes and Princesses waiting to become third party "dalaals" to facilitate the multi-million dollar deals !
The project, dubbed "Quality of Life Program 2020," is in part designed to encourage wealthy young citizens to spend more of their leisure time in the kingdom, where more than half the population is below the age of 25. Spend your money in the Land Of The Sand , rather than go to Monte Carlo, Beirut or Cairo ( if you prefer Arab environment ) or London or Paris
"It will contribute to the satisfaction of Saudis and incentivise them to invest in their country and to stay," said Ahmad Khatib, head of the oil-rich state´s entertainment policy. Buzz words !
The government will pump 50.9 billion riyals into this cultural revolution, while courting private investors and foreign partners for the rest of the investment.
"Saudi Arabia gave me an opportunity to make my film here, it made sense on an economical model," British actor Elba, who made his name as a gangster in the gritty American police series The Wire, told AFP at the event. For the "right price", British and American entertainers will come here- in spite of the searing heat - and make a "pitch of your behalf " to foreign media, hoping that this sort of "publicity" will create a multiplier and synergetic effect in the world . A word of "caution" should be mentioned . Foreigners coming here should be well advised to study the do's and donts of Islamic and Saudi culture , like for instance, will holding hands between husband and wife or boyfriend girl friend , (or is liquor now going to be halal or is ham and cheese sandwich on the menu of the Hilton ? ) will land you in jail or not
"I would definitely be here -- why not?" added the Londoner, who has in more recent years turned his hand to directing and has a Twitter following of more than 2.5 million. For him, the price is definitely right
The investment programme feeds into a drive by powerful Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to modernise his homeland, both in terms of liberalising Saudi society and reducing the economy´s overwhelming dependence on oil.The initiative aims to create 300,000 new jobs and represents a key pillar of the nation´s "Vision 2030" reforms.- AFP. There is an old saying which states that if the product is defective, no amount of public relations is going to solve the problem . IMO, this is the case here . No one in his right mind can say that Saudi Arabia , with its very conservative and narrow minded populace is ready for western style entertainment !!!

POTUS Trump Suspects That Crown Prince MBS May Have Left "Unwanted Lice" In The White House Chair

Trump insulted the Saudi Crown Prince again; Bin Salman has lice!!!
April 26, 2018
According to the Al-Ahad news site, in his 100th visit with the French president, Emmanuel Macron, on Tuesday, Trump repeated his demands from the Gulf states, saying, “We have spent seven trillion dollars in the Middle East and have not achieved anything. There are rich countries there. We have to make them to send troops to Syria in order to bring our troops home.” Traditionally, the rich Araps do not like doing any "dirty work" . They prefer importing labour to do even the "driver- ing" is they can avoid it !!!
Trump is well aware that Bin Salman has put all his eggs in his basket and has no other choice but to please him, and thus has no fear of deliberately insulting him. He has used the verb “milking” about Saudi Arabia over and over again on the media and compared the country to a cow that needs to be milked. Trump should be made aware of Arab and Islamic culture as well . Examples ( like blood is thicker than water, Islamic Ummahood, Taqiyya , important decisions made on "how the King feels that particular day" , being Muslim is more important than anything else) abound in plenty !
According to a White House source, after visiting Bin Salman last month, Trump had asked the staff to check the chairs, or anything that Bin Salman has touched or sat on, for “lice” and clean them properly! Trump said that about a man who described the US president as his “friend” ( Pres. Zia used to lie bald faced for the sake of Pakistan and Islam  !) at the meeting.

I have recently read a eye opener book on human gut microbes

The usa ksa relation is like that a human and his own unique set of microbiata. Each serves the other. If one falls short the other suffers

They work hard for each other despite the occasional dietary intake or immune system malfunction

Dubai Is Concerned About "Protecting Its So Called Liberal Image" In Light Of The Sheikha Latifa Episode !

The curious case of runaway Dubai Princess, HRW raises serious concerns
5 May, 2018
DUBAI - Human Rights Watch on Saturday urged Dubai authorities to reveal the whereabouts of a princess and daughter of the ruler, saying her case could constitute “enforced disappearance”.In a March video, 32-year-old Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum announced she was fleeing the emirate because of mistreatment and restrictions imposed by her family. Bad mouthing the Royals of Dubai is a big no no
She said she was the daughter of Dubai ruler Mohammed bin Rashed Al-Maktoum and an Algerian mother, Horriya Ahmed, and that she had tried to escape in previous years. But the following month a source close to the Dubai government said the runaway princess had been returned to the emirate. All the Gulf countries are well known for their opaqueness and lack of transparency !
“What I can confirm is they took her and she was brought back,” the anonymous source told AFP by phone on April 17. In a statement on Saturday HRW said Dubai authorities must “reveal” her whereabouts and “clarify her legal status”. Dubai has become THE place for "fun in the sun" for the Abduls of Pakiland, Iran, Saudia as well as from western shores . The Dubai authorities are "very sensitive" to the well cultivated image that has been prepared by the western Advertising Agencies - for a big sum of money - camouflaging the obvious rottenness beneath the surface
“Failure to disclose the whereabouts and status of the princess could qualify as an enforced disappearance, given the evidence suggesting that she was last seen as UAE authorities were detaining her,” the US-based rights group said.It cited a witness saying authorities in the United Arab Emirates had “intercepted Sheikha Latifa on March 4, 2018, as she tried to flee by sea to a third country, and returned her to the UAE”. What goes on behind the four walls of the Dubai Mansions/Palaces must remain within those FOUR walls !!!
“Sheikha Latifa, who told friends that she wished to flee restrictions imposed by her family, has not been seen or heard from for two months,” it said. That raised “serious concerns about her safety and well-being, two friends said,” HRW added. Latifa will probably surface again one of these days and apologize for her "errant behaviour " and the "grief" she gave to her family
“UAE authorities should immediately reveal the whereabouts of Sheikha Latifa, confirm her status, and allow her contact with the outside world,” said Sarah Leah Whitson, HRW’s Middle East director on Saturday. “If she is detained she needs to be given the rights all detainees should have, including being taken before an independent judge.” The Arabs are "very sensitive" to their image , so hopefully a positive outcome should be expected !
Latifa’s cause has been taken up by a UK-based group called Detained in Dubai .The group said Latifa tried to flee Dubai by ship, but the vessel was intercepted on March 4 less than 80 kilometres (50 miles) off the coast of India. It said a Finnish woman and friend of the princess was among foreigners on board.
The source close to the Dubai government said last month that the Finnish woman and two French men, one with dual US citizenship, participated in the escape attempt and were wanted in Dubai on previous charges.“It is a domestic issue that transformed into a soap opera that transformed into a rampaging scheme to tarnish the reputation of Dubai and Sheikh Mohammed,” the source said.
IMO a tale of caution for those Islami Ayeshas and western women , who still want to make Dubai or Saudia their "permanent home" based on the image of Dubai and Saudia that the rulers and the Princes like to project !!!

within those FOUR walls !!!
Don't say that pls. Brings back the nightmares after reading story of Anarkali "within the walls" of the Great and Noble and Holy (secular, tolerant, generous) Emperor Akbar. As I understand her skeleton was used as part of the support structure per Early Advanced Mughal Concrete Wall Technology. An inspiration and object lesson for the later inferior tech of "concrete shoes" practised by the New York Mafia.
